00:00Beat one of the teams that we don't think you can beat.
00:02Yeah.
00:03Right?
00:03There you go.
00:04So, beat the Patriots, beat the Bills.
00:07One of those games.
00:07Like, win one of those games and we're talking.
00:10Because I think we've all kind of said, like, hey, the term I use a lot is the weight class, right?
00:14Like, these are teams in their weight class.
00:15The Dolphins is another one this week.
00:19Hello, and welcome to Gangs All Here.
00:20My name is Ryan Sampson.
00:22That's our Jets beat writer, Brian Costello.
00:23And that's my guy, Frankie Vinterredi from U Stadium.
00:25Today is Friday, December 5th.
00:27The Jets are in week 14 facing the Miami Dolphins as a home underdog.
00:32But they're coming off a big win over the Atlanta Falcons.
00:35They are 3-9 on the season.
00:36On today's episode, we're going to discuss this matchup between the Dolphins.
00:39We're going to talk about Aaron Glenn and if we're seeing real improvements from this team.
00:43And we're going to ultimately predict this game and pick some over-unders.
00:47But before we get to any of that, as always, I will start with Mr. Kaz.
00:51How are you today, sir, on this Friday?
00:54I'm good, Ryan.
00:54How are you?
00:55I'm good.
00:56I'm good.
00:56I'm a little tired.
00:57I'm ready to get to the weekend.
00:59But I'm good.
01:01Frankie, how are you today, buddy?
01:04I'm good, man.
01:05I'm good.
01:05I'm chilly, man.
01:06It's getting cold around here.
01:07It's getting cold.
01:08Yes.
01:09I like this weather, though.
01:10I prefer it over the summer, to be honest.
01:12I don't blame.
01:13Well, that's a take right there.
01:15I mean, I think a lot of people like the summer more.
01:17But I do like the cold, too.
01:19It's nice.
01:19It's wintertime.
01:20The Christmas lights are up.
01:21Decorated last week.
01:22So, as we get into this matchup, fellas, I do want to start off with the Jets and what
01:29we saw from them the last weekend.
01:31We had talked a little bit about the improvements we had seen from this team.
01:35The big question I want to start with at the top, though, and I think this is something
01:38that is going to lead into the future on how they want to plan to attack the rest of this
01:42roster is the wide receiver position, because it's something we had discussed in the offseason
01:47that the Jets needed a wide receiver to support Garrett Wilson.
01:51They didn't do it in an adequate enough way.
01:53You saw how much the passing offense struggled.
01:55Most of that was due to the quarterback play in Justin Fields, but also they didn't have
01:59legitimate separators.
02:01It was a rookie in Arian Smith.
02:03It was Josh Reynolds.
02:04It was Alan Lazard and company.
02:07It wasn't good enough.
02:08But then they made some moves here before the deadline and getting John Mechie and Adonai
02:14Mitchell.
02:14And in two of those games now, one for John Mechie, the other one for Adonai Mitchell,
02:19we've seen both of them pop.
02:21So, the question I want to pose to you, fellas, is have the Jets found themselves two legitimate
02:27wide receivers to build this wide receiver room?
02:30And can they count on those wide receivers going into next season?
02:33I'll start with Kaz.
02:35Not yet would be my answer.
02:37I need to see more than just, you know, a play here, a game here.
02:42You know, I think Mechie, you know, I get he had touchdowns, but he hasn't really, hasn't
02:47exploded.
02:47And last week he had one horrible drop, another drop, and another kind of drop in the beginning
02:55of the game.
02:55That was close.
02:57So, he didn't have a good game.
02:58And then Mitchell, obviously, had a breakout game last week.
03:00We haven't seen much else from him, though.
03:02And, you know, he did have 100 yards, but 52 of them came on one play.
03:07So, I'm not ready to anoint them yet.
03:10But, I think they've been worthwhile pickups for the Jets, for sure.
03:14I think they were smart pickups by Darren Mouji.
03:17And that's what the next five weeks are about, to me.
03:20It's big time.
03:21It's finding out what you have in those two guys as you go into 2026 making your plan.
03:27How big a piece are they?
03:29Can Mitchell be a number two receiver?
03:31Can Mechie be a number three receiver?
03:32Or are they more three, four, four, five type of receivers where you're looking at you need
03:37to add some guys and they're nice depth pieces?
03:39I'm sure they're that right now.
03:41I would be happy to have them as my fourth receiver on a team.
03:46I think they're good enough.
03:47They're better than Arian Smith and Alan Lazar and what the Jets went into this year in those
03:53roles.
03:53But, I'm not quite ready to say, yeah, they've got their starting receivers for next year.
03:58Well, and I agree with you.
03:59I would like to see more from them, Kaz.
04:01I want to flip this forward to Frankie and say, look, Frankie, if they continue to show
04:06signs of improvement, and let's say you want to keep them on the roster next year, does
04:12that prevent you from drafting a wide receiver?
04:15And what seems like it's going to be a loaded wide receiver class, there's a lot of talent
04:19here.
04:20Carnell Tate's name being thrown out there, the kid from Arizona State as well.
04:23Would Mitchell and Mechie prevent the Jets from drafting a wide receiver in the first
04:29round next year?
04:31I don't think so, Rye.
04:33I really don't.
04:34I think the Jets have to go into this draft and address the wide receiver position.
04:38Now, does it have to be?
04:39Yeah, definitely, man.
04:40I think you want competition there, too, Rye.
04:43I think they're definitely going to want Aidy, Mitchell, and John Mechie to compete with whomever
04:47the rookie is.
04:49I agree with everything Kaz just said.
04:51You can hope that one of them is going to be a wide receiver, too, but I wouldn't put
04:55all my eggs in that basket, necessarily.
04:57I think one of the two will end up being this wide receiver three next year at some point
05:03that we can depend on.
05:04It's tough for me, though, to be convinced that one of them is going to be that wide
05:08receiver two every week next to Garrett.
05:11I think they should look at the draft.
05:13I don't think it needs to be a first-round pick.
05:15I don't even think it needs to be a second-round pick, but they can get someone on the third
05:19round, maybe, that can come in and at least compete for that spot.
05:22It'll make Aidy and Mechie better, too.
05:25You want them to compete with a rookie that's coming in, wanting to get their NFL career
05:33started.
05:34So, yeah, I think they have to draft a receiver, right?
05:36Or go to free agency, but I would do both, actually.
05:40Well, it's interesting because, again, there are some really talented wide receivers.
05:44Makai Lemon from USC, Carnell Tate from Ohio State, like I said.
05:48It'd be tough for me to pass on that type of talent because you do want to pair that with
05:52Garrett Wilson, but at the same time, you're still in the evaluation period.
05:55You still have five games left.
05:56Kaz, I heard Tanner Inkstrand's comments because he was asked about, have you thought about
06:01if Garrett Wilson can make his return from this knee injury on IR, what that would look
06:06like with Adonai Mitchell and having those two guys being able to help create separation
06:10for each other and have defenses worry about both opposing wide receivers.
06:13Do you think we see Garrett Wilson on the field before the end of the season?
06:17I do, Ry.
06:18I don't think this was a really serious, serious knee injury.
06:22He's been around at the locker room.
06:24He's been, so like, it's not like he's off someplace.
06:28Sometimes that gives you a clue that the guy's not coming back.
06:30So I think he'll be back.
06:33You know, I haven't seen him on the field yet.
06:35Like, he's not allowed to practice because he's on IR, but a lot of times the guys on
06:38IR are on a side field doing work.
06:40I haven't seen that yet, but it is cold.
06:42So it could be a chance, could be doing stuff inside instead of being outside.
06:45But I will say this, Ry, too, about drafting receiver.
06:49You know, you want to talk about a test for Darren Mouji.
06:52That's a test because the Jets have not drafted a wide receiver.
06:54Jets GMs have drafted wide receivers terribly for so long outside of Garrett Wilson.
06:59Outside of Garrett, yeah.
07:00You know, since Jericho Cotcheri, it's been one bad wide receiver after another.
07:06You know, so it's – let's see if Darren Mouji – I mean, here he took one, Arian
07:10Smith, but there's a fourth-round pick.
07:12So I'm not going to ding him on that too hard.
07:14But, you know, when we talk about guys in the second round or first round, it hasn't
07:17been good.
07:18Right.
07:19It has been really bad.
07:21But that's why it's so enticing because you've seen how rookie wide receivers can make immediate
07:26impacts for some of these teams or even, like, on their second year, like Jackson Smith and
07:31Jigba and what the impact he's had on the Seahawks.
07:34Like, you want to get talent into that wide receiver room as much as you can.
07:38And while you may like what you've seen so far from Adonai Mitchell and from John Mechie,
07:42I still think it's enticing enough to take a prospect if you really, really like him.
07:46And the one thing I'll say to both of you and ask you, look, if they do draft a wide
07:51receiver, it's going to be a crowded room when you think about it because you have
07:54Garrett, you have A.D. Mitchell, you have John Mechie, you have Arian Smith, and Isaiah
07:59Williams, I think, Kaz, you could say – talk to this more – he's kind of made a name
08:03for himself as a returner now and how special he's been in the special teams part.
08:07So you don't really want to lose him next year either.
08:10So do they even have the room to add a wide receiver like that, a high draft pick?
08:14Yeah, you do.
08:16Because how many did you just name?
08:17Five?
08:18I named five receivers right there.
08:20Yes.
08:21But, like, look, I think Mitchell and Mechie are here to start training camp next year.
08:27If Mechie in particular – if Mechie doesn't show a lot, he could be gone at the end of
08:32training camp.
08:33You know, I think Mitchell has more upside, obviously.
08:36He's shown that so far.
08:38And, you know, he's only on a second team.
08:41He's still – he's going to be entering his third year of his rookie contract.
08:45Mechie's a restricted free agent.
08:47I think they'll bring him back.
08:49But, yeah, you can have six, right?
08:50You can have six receivers.
08:52And especially if one is a special teams guy, you can – that's not that hard to do
08:56roster-wise.
08:57Yeah, I mean, it's been really impressive, too, with Isaiah Williams and what he's been
09:01able to do, considering how disastrous that first Miami Dolphins game was, where he had
09:07the fumble and then he had the fair catch inside the five.
09:10So, Frankie, who are some guys you would think the Jets could potentially target in that first
09:14round if they do want to go wide receiver?
09:18Yeah, man.
09:18I mean, I'm a big Carnell Tate fan.
09:21I just – I don't think he's going to – he might not be there for their first-round pick.
09:27I think he'd fit well with Garrett Wilson.
09:29He's that sort of down-the-field guy that I think we need.
09:32But, man, if we can get Makai Lemon, if we can use that second pick and even move up,
09:38if we do get a quarterback, Makai Lemon, man, he reminds me a little bit of Puka Nakua.
09:43So good underneath, so tough.
09:45We sort of need a slot guy.
09:47And then that will allow Wilson to do a little bit more on the outside.
09:51Jordan Tyson's a good player, has some injury history.
09:54But there's some good wide receivers in this draft for sure.
09:57I would look at that second first rounder we have to sort of team that up if you're going to get a quarterback
10:03with that first pick.
10:04That would make a lot of sense to me.
10:05You also want a rookie quarterback to sort of come in with a rookie wide receiver sometimes.
10:10It's like their first time doing this on a new team.
10:12They can sort of have confidence in each other there.
10:15So confide in each other, excuse me.
10:17So that's something I would look at for sure.
10:21Um, Denzel Boston's another good player, uh, that a lot of people like, um, Chris Bell out of Louisville.
10:28There's a bunch of receivers and, um, I think they are going to draft one.
10:32I really do.
10:33Yeah.
10:33I mean, I'm in Ross St.
10:35Brown comes to mind with the lions.
10:36And if, if Glenn's going to repeat that, like I'm talking about in drafting a wide receiver,
10:41I think what St.
10:42Brown was a second round pick Frankie, right?
10:44No, he was, uh, I'm on Rob was fourth.
10:48Is he fourth, fourth round?
10:50I'm on Rob was a fourth round.
10:51Yeah.
10:51Yeah.
10:51Okay.
10:52Fourth round pick.
10:53I mean, yeah, that would be, that would be a dream come true.
10:57They can find that in the fourth round.
11:00Um, yeah, look, the jets usually, the jets usually nail the fourth round.
11:04I'm sure.
11:04I'm sure.
11:08Right.
11:08If we fight, I'm on Ross St.
11:10Brown in the fourth round, I'll buy you every piece of apparel that that
11:14receiver has.
11:14I'll buy you every Jersey's got shirts on me.
11:17Okay.
11:18So I just think it's a, it's a good topic to discuss with the wide receiver position because
11:23they do have this new, these new bodies they're trying to evaluate.
11:26I want to see more consistency.
11:27Like cause said, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they play against the dolphins
11:31this weekend, which they have a good chance of actually doing some.
11:37For gang sounds off.
11:38I do want to ask you guys about Aaron Glenn, uh, getting another win here against the
11:43dolphins, uh, and look, three out of five is something to look at.
11:47I think a lot of the narrative has been, can this team continue to improve throughout the
11:50season?
11:51And, and are we seeing improvements from this team?
11:54They have been in a lot of one score games.
11:56If you do look at it ultimately from a bird's eye view.
12:00So cause if you've seen enough from Aaron Glenn to actually think that you, that you have,
12:06I wouldn't say trust, but maybe a little bit more, Hey, leniency of this guy really needs
12:12time to build something here.
12:13Um, somewhat, I don't think he's got over the hurdle where you're like, okay, this guy
12:19is, they found the right guy.
12:20I don't think that's the case, but you know, I don't think we're at the point where people
12:26are questioning like, is he in over his head and all that kind of stuff early in the season.
12:30Like he's shown he can be, he can do the job and they are playing hard for him.
12:35Uh, you know, I hesitate a little bit with that because if you really look around, there
12:39are many teams that get blown out every week, like, you know, like the, the, we can look
12:43at the crosstown giants, right?
12:45They have two wins.
12:46They got their butts kicked by the Patriots, but for the most part this season, they've been
12:50competitive and they lose.
12:52We thought this Jets team was going to be better than this.
12:54So I think, you know, you can't give them too many points for competing.
12:57Like we thought I picked eight wins and I think you guys picked seven wins, uh, Frankie,
13:03right.
13:03And Brian, you can, so like, you know, we thought they were going to be better than this.
13:07So like just being competitive, I feel like the, we're grading on a curve a little bit
13:11now because of the 0-7 start and it's like, oh, but like he's shown enough where I don't
13:16think the questions are like, oh, should he be fired after year one?
13:19Is he in over his head or that stuff?
13:20That was kind of, I didn't agree with him in the beginning of the year either, but like
13:24it's, I think now he's shown, you know, he can do this job.
13:28Um, they just, they, they need improvements.
13:30And I think his, his in-game stuff has been pretty good.
13:33Um, you know, he had the fourth down decision in Baltimore.
13:36That was, you know, questionable, but other than that, I can't think of many recently
13:41that have been, um, I really questioned him on.
13:45I agree with you.
13:46Uh, definitely the end of game decisions are, are hopefully an improvement and he continues
13:51to get better at that.
13:52I always think about that, that Broncos game and how big of a disaster that was.
13:55And hopefully he's learned that as like, that can't happen again.
13:59And that's something I think Frankie, he's showing on the field with his players.
14:04Like we've seen some, I think notable improvements from some of these guys, specifically Brandon
14:09Stevens and how big of a year he's like, not big of a year, but how good of a year he's
14:13having in terms of when it started off, it was really bad.
14:16Right.
14:16And I think about that missed tackle, uh, was against the Cowboys or the, no, against the
14:20bills and James cook, where he just completely gives a poor, poor effort and, and, and
14:25angle and gives up the touchdown, but I've seen actual improvements from Brandon Stevens
14:31and he actually looks like a true number two corner.
14:34So what do you think about some of the players that have improved on under Aaron Glenn's tutelage?
14:40Listen, I think the guy's a great motivator.
14:43I'll never doubt him on that.
14:44I think he gets these guys playing hard.
14:46Um, my only issue, or maybe what I need to see more of is on the X's and O's side, specifically
14:52on the defensive side.
14:53I just wish they did a little bit more, tried to do things a little bit differently.
14:57Um, but as a motivator, I think he's, he's been great.
15:00I saw that mic'd up they had with him on the sideline this past, uh, weekend.
15:05And he gets those guys running hard, man, playing football hard.
15:09And, and, and that's a big key to this whole thing.
15:12You have to be able to motivate your players.
15:14He checks that box off for me.
15:15It's the other boxes I'm a little worried about, but cause is right.
15:19Um, in game.
15:20I mean, even some of his challenges, it seems like he wins every challenge.
15:23Um, he has one.
15:24I think he's sweet for three.
15:25I looked that up.
15:26He is.
15:27Yeah.
15:27Yeah.
15:27I think he's sweet for three.
15:28Yeah.
15:29Yeah.
15:29My challenges.
15:30Yeah.
15:31I think this next month of games, next month and a half will really get, I think a better
15:36picture as to who Aaron Glenn is.
15:39These aren't easy games coming up by any stretch of the imagination.
15:42You got Miami.
15:42Then you're away Jacksonville, new Orleans and new England.
15:46And you're at Buffalo 10, the season.
15:48Those are tough games.
15:49So, um, I'm curious how they'll perform them, but, uh, he's been, he's been, he's been good,
15:54man.
15:54He's recovered now with this, you know, winning three or five.
15:58Remember we did this also in 2023.
16:01We won our last three or five.
16:04Um, and they talked about that Patriots game.
16:07I know it's a different staff regime.
16:09That was solid second or third year.
16:11Excuse me.
16:11So it's different, but, uh, I want to see a little bit more.
16:17What more would you want to see?
16:19If you, if you don't mind me asking, cause now I'm curious.
16:21Um, I want a decisive victory.
16:27Like I want us to win a game where there's no real luck involved, quote unquote.
16:33And I hate using that word in football because you win, you win.
16:37Nobody cares how you win sometimes, but I feel like that Bengals game, we got a little
16:42lucky.
16:43We got a little lucky last week.
16:44I'll give you one, Ryan.
16:46I'll give you one.
16:47Yeah.
16:48Beat one of the teams that we don't think you can beat.
16:50Yeah.
16:51Yeah.
16:51Right.
16:52There you go.
16:52So beat, beat the Patriots, beat the bills.
16:55One of those games, like win one of those games.
16:57And we're talking because I think we've all kind of said like, Hey, the term I use a lot
17:02is a weight class, right?
17:03Like these are teams in their weight class.
17:04The dolphins is another one this week.
17:06Jaguars to me is somewhere in the middle, right?
17:08Like Jaguars have obviously won a lot of games this year.
17:11I don't put them in the same class though, as the Patriots and the bills.
17:14Um, Lawrence hasn't played well.
17:16So like, would it shock me if the jets won that game?
17:19No, but like the Patriots and the bills, those are the ones that are the ones that
17:21those last two games, like win one of those.
17:22And we're talking, um, and the bills, like if they play Josh Allen, which I assume they're
17:26going to have to at this point.
17:28So like, like win one of those and I'll be impressed.
17:30I completely agree with you.
17:31I think it, the weight class is a good comment.
17:33And I also think, um, while Frankie, you want more decisive victories, it is all about just
17:39getting the win.
17:40And I think people don't really care about anything else, like how it looks, just get
17:43the W because the W is what people are going to talk about Aaron Glenn next year is how
17:48many games can he actually win?
17:49And can he help this team establish winning, uh, patterns and habits, if that makes sense.
17:55So, um, yeah, I mean, I think we'll spin it forward to the Dolphins game this weekend and,
18:01uh, key matchups for both of you guys.
18:03I am interested to hear what cause you are most looking forward to seeing between the
18:08Jets and Dolphins this weekend.
18:10Yeah.
18:10For me is a Chan, you know, can they stop them?
18:12He's been rolling.
18:13I think he's had a hundred yards the last three games for them.
18:16That they've been winning, uh, the Jets were doing better against the run.
18:20They thought they did a good job against the Ravens.
18:22They did a good job against the Patriots against the run.
18:24And then Bijan came in and had a day of 142 yards, I think rushing on them.
18:30So, you know, can, can they get back?
18:34Was that just a blip on the radar?
18:36Was that just Bijan being as good as he is or were there issues?
18:41So, you know, I, that to me is the key to the game is can they, uh, can they slow HN
18:45down?
18:46It's a good one.
18:46Frankie, what are your thoughts?
18:47What do you got key matchup wise?
18:50I'm going to agree with the position.
18:52I'm going to look at our side though.
18:53I'm going to go with Brees Hall against that Dolphins front seven, which has been playing
18:58really good the last couple of weeks.
19:00They have the NFL, um, leader in tackles and Jordan Brooks was at a very good year.
19:05Brees two to me, since Tyrod's taken over quote unquote, he's struggling a little bit
19:11to find room between the tackles that fields, uh, you know, read option element isn't there.
19:18So you don't have really ends waiting for the pull.
19:23Cause it's, it's, it's not happening.
19:24So I want to see Brees his last couple of games, 3.6 yards to carry 2.8 small sample size,
19:30but I want to see what Brees does this week.
19:33And I think this'll set up Brees for the off season too.
19:37In these negotiations, you're, you're not going to want too many games where you're averaging
19:41around three and a half or less yards to carry doesn't look good when you're going into these
19:46meetings, I would assume.
19:47So, um, I, I, I, I'm curious to see how he plays that Miami front's pretty good.
19:52So, yeah, I think that's another good one to pay attention to, uh, for me, it's gotta be
19:57Darren Waller and Jalen Waddle versus jet secondary, uh, Waller caught two touchdowns in the last
20:02game against the, the jets.
20:04Uh, they obviously do not do well against tight ends, uh, and specifically in the red
20:09zone as well.
20:09So I'm looking forward to that.
20:10And then waddle, you know, Tyree kill was going off in that game before he had his knee explode
20:15on him.
20:16Um, but like if Jalen Waddle, like he's obviously super talented, super athletic, uh, jets, you
20:23know, how do they handle him with his shiftiness and speed?
20:26Um, I'm looking forward to seeing if they could contain both of those guys and just make it
20:30hopefully like a one dimensional, uh, offense for the dolphins with, with, with
20:34Devon HM, uh, time for stump cause got some trivia here.
20:39Um, cause has gotten me a couple of weeks in a row now here, but let's see if I can get
20:44him here.
20:44I have the question of which jets receiver has the most receiving yards in a game versus
20:51the dolphins all time.
20:53In one game, in one game, uh, Eric Decker, he got it right on the nose, 221 receiving
21:03yards, 10 catches.
21:06How did you get that?
21:08Cause I think cause Decker, cause yeah, that was the last game of 2014, uh, where Gino had
21:14a perfect QB rating.
21:15Yeah.
21:15And Decker had like two boy, uh, 220 yards, 221 yards, 10 catches.
21:19Oh, I remember that.
21:21Yeah.
21:2237, 24 victory for the jets over the dolphins, December 28th, 2014, Eric Decker, the most receiving
21:28yards in a single game versus the dolphins.
21:30It's surprising because it's not that game in 1986, right?
21:35You know, the shootout game in 1986 between Kenny O'Brien and Dan Marino, where I think
21:40it was what 51 44 or something like that was the final score, like something crazy.
21:45And so I think, I think Wesley Walker that day had a ton of yards, but, uh, yeah, Decker
21:50Decker went, went, went, went off that day in Miami.
21:53That was a weird game.
21:54Wesley Walker at a hundred, 194 receiving yards in that game in 1986.
22:00Yeah.
22:01And that was Rex.
22:01The 2014 game is Rex's last game.
22:03Um, and also the last time the jets won in Miami.
22:07Yeah.
22:08Damn.
22:09Um, all right, fellas.
22:11Dad drops.
22:13Uh, let's go over, over unders, uh, last week cause was two and five Frank getting killed.
22:20Yeah.
22:20Frankie was three and four on the season.
22:23I can never get over a 500.
22:25What the heck's going on here on the season causes 41 and 38 up three units.
22:30Frankie is now 32 and 47 down 15 units.
22:35Uh, just real quick for all the numbers here.
22:38Tyrod Taylor, 182 and a half pass yards.
22:41Cause had the over Frankie had the under Kirk cousins.
22:44And it did.
22:45It did go under Kirk cousins at 195, 190 and a half rush yards.
22:50Cause had the under and Frankie had the under.
22:51They both lost that one.
22:52As he went over that number B John Robinson at 34 and a half receiving yards.
22:56Cause had the over Frankie had the under cause hit that one.
22:59B John Robinson, 79 and a half rushing yards.
23:02Cause had the under.
23:03He went well over that.
23:05Yep.
23:06Frankie had the Jets run defense.
23:08Yes.
23:09Uh, Brees Hall, 72 and a half rush yards.
23:12Cause had the under, which was a win as did Frankie.
23:15Brees Hall, 23 and a half receiving yards.
23:17Cause had the over and Frankie had the over.
23:19That's both a loss for him.
23:20And John Mechie, 35 and a half receiving yards.
23:22Both of you had the over, which he did not have a good game last weekend.
23:27Now let's spin it forward.
23:28Catch the ball, right?
23:29Just catch the ball.
23:30Yeah.
23:30We got screwed there.
23:31Cause unreal.
23:34Let's spin it forward to this week.
23:36We start off with Tyrod Taylor.
23:39Cause I got him at 178 and a half pass yards.
23:43Not a big number.
23:44These numbers are so good, but that's exactly.
23:48That's the neighborhood he lives in, right?
23:50He had like 170 last week.
23:54Um, I'm going to go under Frankie.
24:00Is Garrett Wilson coming back?
24:03No.
24:04I'm joking.
24:06Uh, I'm going to go over.
24:08I like me some Tyrod.
24:10I'm going to go over.
24:11Let's go to the other quarterback for the dolphins to a tongue of Iloa,
24:14217 and a half pass yards.
24:17Under Frankie.
24:22Yeah.
24:22It's going to be cold weather to a time under.
24:25Let's go to his receiver.
24:27Jalen Waddle, 67 and a half receiving yards.
24:30Cause.
24:32Under Frankie.
24:34I'm going to piggyback off cause they're under.
24:39Add nine Mitchell, 80 Mitchell, 49 and a half receiving yards cause.
24:45No, it's a good number too.
24:47Uh, I'm going to go under Frankie.
24:54Uh, it's a tough one.
24:56Um, that's exactly where I'd have it too.
24:58I feel like we're at 50.
25:00Um, I'm going to go over.
25:02I had Tyrod on with the over.
25:03Let me just piggyback there over.
25:05Let's go to the running backs.
25:07Devon H in 82 and a half rush yards cause.
25:12Over.
25:13Oh boy.
25:14Frankie.
25:15I'm going over too.
25:17Todd's isn't making the same mistake this week.
25:19No, no way.
25:20Brees Hall, 70 and a half rush yards for Mr. Brees Hall.
25:27I'll go.
25:30I'm going to go over too, actually.
25:33All right.
25:34That's over unders.
25:36Now let's pick this game.
25:38Uh, Frankie, I'm going to start with you, buddy.
25:40The Jets are three point dogs at home against the Miami Dolphins.
25:44Give us your prediction, sir.
25:47Well, guys, um, I'm not sure if you're aware, but to, uh, in weather, uh, under 46 degrees,
25:54he is, uh, oh, and seven.
25:56Don't ask me how I found that, but I did.
25:58Uh, it was at 46 degrees, whatever.
26:01Um, but to, uh, right.
26:04Hasn't lost against the Jets.
26:05So, um, it's, this is a weird thing going on here.
26:11Something's got to give, um, listen, I like what the Jets have been doing the last couple
26:15of weeks.
26:17Um, but they're not winning four or six.
26:20It's not going to happen.
26:22Um, I think it'll be an ugly kind of game.
26:26Um, it'll be a close game, but I just think the Dolphins will make enough big plays specifically
26:32with the running back to Von H and, and, uh, I have the Dolphins beating us at home.
26:37Um, another great game for Jeff fans to go to at, uh, at MetLife stadium.
26:42Um, I'm picking Miami 17 jets, 16.
26:48You got the Dolphins winning, huh?
26:52The Dolphins.
26:53Yes, yes, yes, yes.
26:54Sorry.
26:55Sorry.
26:55I have the Dolphins 17 jets, 16.
26:57Yeah.
26:58Wow.
26:58Dolphins are winning buddy.
27:00Yeah.
27:00I'm, I'm, I'm not this four of six.
27:04Uh, it's not going to happen.
27:06Cause it was cute at three of five.
27:09It's cute at three and five.
27:15All right.
27:15Um, we were all right last week too, right?
27:19Right.
27:19We all picked the jets.
27:20All picked the jets.
27:21Oh, yeah.
27:22Um, I hear what Frankie's saying, but I, I cannot pick the Dolphins to win this game
27:29in the cold at MetLife stadium.
27:32I thought, you know, I think it's, I think the jets have played so much better lately.
27:39I don't think the Dolphins are that good.
27:41I like the Dolphins could have lost to the saints last week.
27:44Uh, and I'm a big believer in the jets have to split this, this series here.
27:50Like they, they got to start showing they can win some games in the AFC East.
27:54And like, it's looking grim right now because the Patriots look freaking awesome.
28:01And I kind of, I know the bills haven't had the season we expected, but I, I don't know.
28:05I expect them to stabilize and they're going to have Josh Allen for a long time.
28:08So where are the jets going to win the AFC East?
28:10They got to start beating the Dolphins.
28:13Um, they could have won that game earlier in the year.
28:15They didn't play that well.
28:16So I'm going to go jets 28 dolphins, 24.
28:22I like that score.
28:23That's a good score.
28:24Ooh, a little shoot out there.
28:25Cause I like it.
28:27A little shoot out.
28:27You know, I think it's going to be heavy on the ground.
28:29Like I think HN and I think Brees will have a big day.
28:32I think it's going to be a heavy ground game in the cold.
28:34Yeah, I think those are all fair points.
28:37And I think that's, that's definitely where I'm leaning here as well.
28:40Uh, I think this is the week that solidifies my bet when Mr. Mark Hale, uh, who told me
28:45three wins for the jets the rest of this year, when they were all in seven before going into
28:50that Bengals week and winning the first one.
28:51And I said, no way, no way they're winning, uh, four games, but they played better football.
28:57They looked better on the field.
28:59But special teams is truly an X factor for the jets every single week.
29:03And that's something to pay attention to the return game.
29:06You're now I'm looking at like when they're going to break one loose because they are
29:10coming close almost every week to breaking one loose for a huge return.
29:14Um, I think that plays into a big factor here.
29:16Again, I think Tua in the cold weather absolutely stinks.
29:20I'm also going to make this prediction besides the game.
29:23Tua will throw an interception and the jets will get their first interception of the season.
29:27There we go this week.
29:29Book it.
29:30He leads the league in interceptions, right?
29:32That is correct.
29:32Yes, he does.
29:33So the jets, he throws a ton of wobblers up there.
29:36He's not a, he's not a deep ball thrower.
29:38So I dare him to throw it up in the cold air and see what happens.
29:41I think the jets get their first interception this week.
29:43And I think they get the victory this week.
29:4623, 17 jets over dolphins for their fourth win of the season.
29:51And I think that is how this weekend is going to play out.
29:54Uh, look.
29:57It's going to be another week of us talking about whether or not this team improves, what
30:02are they showing?
30:03We appreciate all you fans for sticking around, hanging out with us, doing some jets football
30:08talk with us as always.
30:09And I appreciate you guys hopping on here as always and giving us your insight, uh, until
30:13next week, pay attention to cause and what he's reporting here this weekend with the jets.
30:16We'll make sure to pay attention to those injury reports.
30:18If there's anything specific that comes out, but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's
30:22coverage and, and, uh, we'll catch you on Sunday after the game with Frankie and I
30:25for the post game live show fellas.
