00:00Next to Roxen and Savace and Anderson and Craig all over there to the far right of the gate.

00:06Get ready, here we go.

00:09World Supercross Championship Australian GP SX1 category race number two.

00:22And it looks like it's going to be Tixie on the 911 getting a tremendous start

00:27and jumping out in front of everybody.

00:32Wow, Cooper Webb.

00:36Yeah, Cooper gets by and gets out front and now Cooper doing what Cooper does and that's pull away.

00:43Yeah, and he is so smart, so crafty.

00:47His ability to nail that start and not only the start but the first corner, then aggression right off the top.

00:53I asked Jace, can he do it from out there?

00:55Well, he just answered, he can't and now he gets the lead in World Supercross.

00:59Savace is already around Tixie as well.

01:01He's up to second.

01:02Here comes Anderson on the 21 and now Ombre makes the move to take over third

01:08and Tixie is dropping the anchor on that 911 and falling quickly back through the field.

01:13And we are about to see a display from Eli Tomac and Ken Roxen who are both outside of the top five

01:20battling with riders that they're not typically around.

01:23This is going to be a very important first two laps for the number one of the 94.

01:26Here comes Tomac from eighth.

01:28He's got Devin Simonson in there with him as they're working through the field.

01:35And there's Roxen back in the middle.

01:36And the crowd is cheering.

01:40I believe Hayden Deegan and Jason Anderson.

01:43Here it is right here.

01:44There's Deegan and there's Anderson.

01:46Deegan on the blue bike, Anderson on the yellow.

01:50And I think the introduction has been made.

01:52The crowd went crazy.

01:54Deegan goes by as we watch Tomac and Roxen.

01:58Looks like a Stark off the side.

02:00Vince Grease off the side of the track.

02:02Ralph, we are getting some action early in these races in the front, in the middle.

02:08Roxen all the way back in 11th trying to fight his way through.

02:12Meanwhile, Cooper Webb, two seconds up on Joey Savace in the lead.

02:16Here's Roxen around to the outside, cuts to the inside.

02:20And he picks off two or three right there in one corner.

02:24This track is racing so awesome right now.

02:28It's dropped.

02:28Oh, Christian Craig.

02:30Craig goes down on the 28.

02:33Back up and going, but he's going to lose a spot or two.

02:36He's back at 11th right now.

02:39And you know what?

02:40If you're Ryan Brees, good on you, man.

02:43Get up front with these guys.

02:45It's not often you get Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson.

02:48This is a great opportunity for him to make a name for himself just in the battle alone.

02:52Tomac to the inside on Brees, gets around the 200.

02:55He'll move up a spot that puts him to fifth.

02:58Brees is not done.

03:00He's going to battle with him.

03:01But as they come over the finish line jump, it's a couple of bike lengths now between Tomac and Brees as they exit off the corner.

03:13Here's Anderson still chasing Deegan.

03:15That's a fight for third.

03:17It's Webb, Savace, Deegan, and Anderson.

03:19And Webb is up 3.7.

03:23I'll tell you, there is no mind like Cooper Webb's.

03:25His ability to learn and adjust in between races, execute his start and be gone.

03:30That's just special.

03:32And how about Hayden Deegan now making his way up to Joey Savace.

03:35And I'll tell you what, he is running from the 21 of Jason Anderson.

03:38There was contact made.

03:40And this 450 debut has gotten a little spicier here at race number two.

03:45Savace, that bike dancing around on him.

03:47Deegan gets across the woods beautifully.

03:50Carries a tremendous amount of speed through that corner.

03:53And Hayden Deegan closes in on Joey Savace.

03:57Man, that rear end really kicking out on the 38 Yamaha.

04:02Deegan is charging.

04:04I like the way he rides the bike.

04:06You know, Ralph, there's this discussion about having to modernize around the 450 and make changes.

04:11He will over time, but he's not going to change who he is.

04:14He comes from that Carmichael, Tomac vein where he rides with everything he's got.

04:20He will become a better version of this, but he ain't going to change.

04:23He has caught Savace, and the race is on for second here in SX1 race number two.

04:31Hayden Deegan making his final Supercross appearance for 2025 and 2026 on a 450.

04:40He'll go back to a 250 for the AMA Championship.

04:43Deegan going for second.

04:44Over the finish line, jump far to far.

04:47He cuts inside.

04:48Down low.

04:49He got him.

04:50Hayden Deegan takes second and looks over to Savace and says,

04:53better get used to me, pal.

04:55Here I come.

04:56For a 19-year-old to have that kind of race craft.

04:59Big mistake there, and Savace goes right back by.

05:02Deegan back to the inside.

05:05Cuts down low.

05:06Big handball for the least back out in front.

05:10Wow, man.

05:1119 years old, making mistakes.

05:14That's okay.

05:15So aggressive.

05:16Oh, and right into the face of that rhythm jump.

05:19And look at Anderson now coming up to battle on the Suzuki.

05:23Three riders fighting it out.

05:25Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda battling here with the KTM of the champ, Eli Tomac, getting into the mix.

05:32What a great lesson for Hayden Deegan to fight with these tremendous racers and be in front of the pack.

05:39He's got to stop looking back, though.

05:40Yeah, that'll be learned over time.

05:42He'll have to stop looking back.

05:44But right now, I think he's just making sure he doesn't get blasted because he's playing with the big boys.

05:49He's playing rough.

05:50Oh, no.

05:51He's down.

05:52He tucked the front and goes down in the corner.

05:56What a shame.

05:57And, Daniel, I've got to believe some of that is because he was looking too much back.

06:03Yeah.

06:03And you're not focusing so much on what's in front of you.

06:06100 percent.

06:07But he is here to learn.

06:09Brian said it.

06:10We're here to learn so many lessons.

06:12Go back and just review those couple laps.

06:15There are so many lessons in that.

06:17I love what I see.

06:19It was so, so good.

06:22Oh, Tomac with a huge mistake.

06:25Don't worry about it, Hayden.

06:26Even the best in the world.

06:27That's right.

06:28The legends make mistakes, too.

06:29And what a fun race.

06:32And Roxanne got around Tomac, who has another bobble right there.

06:36Savace is up in front of those two.

06:38He's in third.

06:38And it's Roxanne and Tomac rounding out the top five.

06:42And Brice, he finally gets him back.

06:44After all of that, he gets to pass Eli Tomac.

06:46And we are on the final lap.

06:49What a night of racing here at the Australian GP.

06:52And Tomac is still struggling with the backside of that Red Bull.

06:56KTM.

06:57Meanwhile, this guy out front, Cooper Webb, on a wild card appearance here tonight,

07:03having a tremendous run at the Australian GP race number two.

07:07He has no clue what is going on behind him.

07:10And let me tell you, he does not care.

07:12He didn't want anything to do with that.

07:14And that all goes back to that execution.

07:16This man is so smart, so calculated.

07:19Oh, well, he's going to, there you go.

07:21There's a three, a three, and a two.

07:24So he found it, Ralph.

07:24You asked.

07:25There it is.

07:26Cooper Webb.

07:30with a victory in race number two for SX1.

07:34Anderson, a superb ride to second.

07:37Oh, and down goes, is that Craig?

07:40Yes.

07:41Craig goes down.

07:43Unfortunately, he had a top five finish.

07:45That goes out the window.

07:47Wow.

07:47Oh, what a race here in race number two.

07:51Anderson, Cevacci, Roxanne, and Breeze round out the top five in this one.

07:58That's exhausting, and we didn't even race that one.

08:00I'm tired.

08:00My heart rate is at least 150, maybe more.

08:04And, Ralph, that's why the fans show up.

08:06It's for that.

08:07That's what makes Supercross so special.

08:09It's the unknown.

08:10It's the unpredictable.

08:12And we got all of it right there.
