00:00It's starting to get down to a two-rider race.
00:02Let's look at the Yamaha SX-1 final number two.
00:06It is Luke Cloud, of course, was the quickest earlier on.
00:09Second in the first race.
00:10We'll be looking to try and close it down for the next one,
00:13but it's going to be difficult over Dean Wilson.
00:15Cedric Zuboros is there.
00:17Aaron Tanti, hopefully, is okay after that race.
00:20We had word on Tanti.
00:21We'll jump into that just at the tail end of this.
00:24Hayden Melrose, Mitchell Harrison, Dean Wilson, Jackson,
00:27Nikolai Zolinski, Walsh.
00:28And, boys, you said that you heard that it was an incident
00:32between Tanti and Nicoletti as they went over the finish line.
00:36Yeah, I actually watched it out the window.
00:38They kind of came together off the finish line, jump in midair,
00:41and Tanti had a huge crash.
00:43But he's as tough as they come.
00:45He's out there.
00:46He's going to make it happen again.
00:47But the one thing that I'm really paying attention to,
00:49there you see the two right there, Cedric Zuboros,
00:51Luke Cloud lined up on the far-hand side, Aaron Tanti.
00:54But Dean Wilson, six to the gate again.
00:56He picked that same gate that he was in for main event number one.
00:59But can he execute a perfect start like he did earlier?
01:02Well, let's go down to Trent.
01:04Actually, it looks like he might have just been pushed away.
01:07The bikes just start to fire up now.
01:10It looked like we're going to get an interview there with Tanti,
01:13but maybe he's on the same program as you, A.C.
01:14Don't put a camera in front of my face.
01:16There is absolutely no shot that I would be doing it.
01:19Look, I love the fans.
01:21You know, you want the crowd to be into it, but it's game time, fellas.
01:26It is game time.
01:28Final race of the night, the big one.
01:31Luke Cloud is in a position where he could potentially get the overall tonight
01:35with a win, but he's got a lot of work ahead of him
01:38with the form that we've seen out of Dean Wilson so far tonight.
01:41You would be crazy to bet against him, but like you boys mentioned earlier on,
01:45the heat races, so important.
01:47Dean Wilson finds himself out very wide once again.
01:50Doesn't mean he can't get the start from that position,
01:53but he's going to have to work for it extremely hard.
01:56As two is Nicoletti as the board goes sideways.
01:58The final race for the night here in Cronulla, Gatesdown.
02:04You see Dino just getting a little bit of wheel spin there
02:08as he transitioned onto the start straight,
02:10still able to get a pretty good start there, looks like in the third spot.
02:14Third spot, second now, looking to go to the lead pretty early in this race
02:19as he sits behind Dylan Walsh as they move towards the whoops.
02:24Cloud quick up into third as well,
02:26knows that he needs to stay up there.
02:28As to Assumeros from the outside,
02:30puts himself right into the firing line with Cloud.
02:34As they go up and over, first lap down.
02:37Walsh leads the way.
02:38How about Dylan Walsh with another amazing start?
02:41Puts him with some great track position out front.
02:44This guy's been amazing out of the gate.
02:46And Dean Wilson with just an unbelievable run up the inside of that whoops section.
02:52You know Dean, when he showed up this morning and saw these two sets of whoops,
02:56you know he was just so excited because I don't think there's anybody in this country
03:02that can go through a set of whoops like the 15.
03:04The MyPay now, whole shot award, going to Dylan Walsh again on the 53.
03:09And he was out wider as we see up to the inside there,
03:13Luke Cloud forcing his way through.
03:15Following him through was Aaron Tanty on the number nine.
03:19So Tanty has moved up one as well.
03:21One, two, three, as they go towards the finish line.
03:24This could be huge for Luke Cloud right here.
03:27He is behind the 15.
03:28He needs to learn from Dean Wilson right now.
03:31We've talked to Luke Cloud.
03:32He knows his weakness.
03:33His weakness is this section right here,
03:35the whoops section and the entry speed.
03:37Now he can learn from the 15 of Dean Wilson
03:39and kind of gauge that momentum that Dean carries.
03:43But he's got more worries.
03:45Aaron Tanty, how about from on the ground in main event one
03:48to third spot right now in one second.
03:50And Aaron Tanty coming off an injury,
03:53still trying to find his form,
03:55goes down hard in our first final earlier.
03:58I just love the perseverance.
04:00I love the fact that he showed up ready to race,
04:03riding forward right now.
04:05This is the best he's looked in a very long time.
04:07In the back of Stunt just then,
04:09we saw Hayden Melros bouncing his way into Walsh.
04:13Just before that rhythm section,
04:14he finds himself now into fourth place.
04:17Had a bit of a terrible moto or first race, first final.
04:20However, now moving his way forwards,
04:22the 45 machine continues with the form
04:25that we saw out of him at Redcliffe.
04:28And we know, we know that Luke Cloud has the pace to win.
04:32We saw it in practice.
04:34Our fastest qualifier is to see the 53
04:37of Dylan Walsh on the ground after such a great start.
04:41Yeah, that's a bummer for Walsh right there.
04:43Been getting some amazing starts,
04:44but he's on the ground.
04:45But I'm just kind of paying attention
04:46to lap times out front.
04:47Luke Cloud just a few tenths off of Dean Wilson.
04:52And Dean Wilson out front,
04:56starting to pull away.
04:57The gap 1.63, it says, on our timing.
05:01It looks to be a little bit bigger than that.
05:03But on screen, it is Subros that is moving forwards as well.
05:07And he has a lot of pressure behind him.
05:09It's Mitchell Harrison on the 86,
05:11and he's right there, knocking on the back door,
05:13trying to continue forward.
05:16He looked very strong in the first race.
05:18These two went all the way down to the very final lap,
05:22the final turn for that final position.
05:25And now this could be full podium
05:27on the overall tonight between these two riders.
05:31Subros has looked a little off to me.
05:33You know, from Redcliffe,
05:34Henry and me, we covered him.
05:35He was amazing.
05:36He was great in Redcliffe.
05:38Totally different style of track here.
05:40You see a couple bike issues, you know,
05:42in the heat races.
05:43But these main events,
05:44obviously not a great start as Harrison gets by.
05:46Just the aggression, you can tell from the two,
05:49isn't quite as high as it was at rounds one and two.
05:53And you could say the exact opposite for the 86.
05:56And Mitchell Harrison right now looks extremely aggressive.
06:00The most comfortable he's looked on this Yamaha
06:03so far this season.
06:05Great ride for the 86.
06:06And if my math is correct,
06:07this is for the overall podium.
06:09These guys right here.
06:10You figure Tanty's third right now,
06:12but he was out of motor one.
06:14So this is absolutely for the third and final podium spot.
06:17That's correct.
06:18It is 38 points.
06:20Harrison, well, actually Harrison,
06:21at the moment as it sits, is 38.
06:23Subros is 34.
06:25So it is a couple of points swing.
06:27That pass didn't happen.
06:28Then, yes, it would have been tied on points
06:30between those two riders.
06:32As we see, Clout continues to work his way up
06:35only 2.2 seconds behind.
06:39Harrison's moving forward at a rapid rate.
06:41He was only bettered the last lap around
06:44by Dean Wilson by three-tenths of a second.
06:47He is faster than the two riders in front of him.
06:50We'll see if he does it again.
06:51Again, he does it.
06:52He is quicker than the two riders in front of him
06:54by quite a big distance.
06:55So he may even, at this pace,
06:57run up there and battle it out
06:59for maybe third, possibly second,
07:01a bit too far away.
07:03He's gaining quickly on the nine of Tanty.
07:05And I love the lines that Mitchell Harrison
07:08is riding right now,
07:09staying really low in a lot of these bowl corners,
07:11cutting off a lot of track.
07:14He's been great at adapting to this track
07:16as it breaks down this evening.
07:19A much better ride this time around for Luke Clout.
07:21He has not dropped off the back wheel of this rider
07:23too much this time around.
07:25Made a mistake that one
07:27as he went through the rhythm section
07:29closest to our commentary box.
07:32And that has dropped him back a little bit now
07:34as Dean Wilson continues to command the lead in this,
07:38looking to make it six wins from six starts.
07:41How about the start to the season
07:43and the emotional ride that Dean Wilson has been on,
07:47losing his mother on the morning of round two.
07:50I cannot imagine the emotion that he's went through,
07:53but Dean Wilson, the consummate professional,
07:56the fan favorite.
07:57I mean, just such an awesome guy with his helmet off,
07:59such a great person.
08:01But AC, that emotional rollercoaster
08:03that he had to go through,
08:04the winning night one,
08:05then losing his mother on the night two of racing,
08:08but still winning just, wow, I can't even imagine.
08:11We got some red cross flags out.
08:13Yeah, Dan Ryder there,
08:14just off the back of the burn by the looks of it.
08:17So the rider's doing the right thing
08:20and just rolling through that particular section
08:22as we see Harrison continues to push forwards
08:25and close down on our third place rider,
08:30Aaron Tante.
08:31And you know for Aaron Tante right now,
08:33look, came back from a big, big injury this summer.
08:37And for him, just to log a solid result
08:41after that big crash in the first final,
08:43we know he's been working on eliminating these mistakes.
08:47And I know it's not a win,
08:49but sometimes a podium can go a long way.
08:52Even a podium in a moto can go a long way
08:55towards his championship success going forward.
08:59So Tante right now needs to do everything he can
09:02to stay completely focused on the moment,
09:05and not think about any of the mistakes
09:07that he's made in the past.
09:09And I think this could go a long way for the number nine.
09:12And I'm telling you guys, I've watched his crash.
09:14I don't think we got it on camera,
09:16but it was a hard crash.
09:18I mean, he hit the deck about as hard
09:19as you could possibly hit the deck.
09:21And for him to still be out there
09:22just shows how tough he really is.
09:27We've got the medical flags out once again just here.
09:29I'm not sure who that one is.
09:34See our leader, Dean Wilson,
09:35having to roll this entire section.
09:39That's why it's very, very important.
09:41Kids, listen to your dad when he tells you to look ahead.
09:45Got to be able to see what's coming,
09:47adapt to the conditions,
09:49downriders in front of you.
09:50Dean Wilson has just been unbelievable.
09:54This might be the best the 15 has ever looked
09:58here in Australia.
09:59Just what an incredible start to the season for Dean.
10:02Two turns to go for the number 15 machine.
10:06He had to work for it tonight.
10:07He works his way towards the finish line.
10:09He is going to make it a perfect start to the season.
10:12Another win for Dean Wilson in the SX1.
10:17Maximum points, extending out that championship lead.
10:19And really not challenged too much here tonight.
10:26As Luke Clout comes across in second place.
10:29Looked good at the start of this race.
10:31Small mistakes saw him drop back a little bit.
10:34The two riders shaking hands there.
10:36And I saw the number nine machine.
10:38Great to see him up there as well.
10:40Getting a third in this race.
10:43Dean Wilson, the man of the hour again.
10:52You mentioned it, Hammy, but six for six.
10:55Wow, that's impressive.
10:58As we look now at the race results,
11:01the Yamaha SX1 final number two.
11:03Wilson Clout, Tanti Subaross gets there for fourth place.
11:08Melrose Walsh Harrison has an issue
11:10and goes back to seventh.
11:13Joel Campbell, Jackson, Nicoletti,
11:15and Cody O'Lone in 11th place.
11:19Bishop Sigliano, Norris, Weesey Jackson,
11:21Zielinski, and Wood.
11:23Wood was one of those riders,
11:24I think was the rider that went down
11:26on the backside of that berm.
11:28Good to see that he has got himself up though
11:30and ridden off the track.
11:33And what a night it has been here
11:35at Cronulla for rounds number three.
11:38The SX1 final two again delivered some exceptional racing.
11:43It looked like Clout was starting to find
11:46a little bit of form there.
11:47Holding pretty strong with Dean Wilson earlier on
11:51until those small mistakes
11:52just dropped him back out of the fight.
