00:00From that side of the W and the doghouse.
00:02That's where the picks remain.
00:03Now, my eyes are on the 1 and the 94.
00:07You've got to be better in this one.
00:09Cooper Webb.
00:10All right.
00:11Time to be done with the talking.
00:13Let's drop the gate and go racing in Australia.
00:19And when it matters most, Tomac delivers with a great start.
00:23He's going to lead them.
00:25Eli Tomac on the number one Red Bull KTM.
00:28But Hayden Deegan got a great start.
00:30He's right there in second.
00:32Hayden Deegan's going after the reigning world champions.
00:35Roxton with a terrible start.
00:37He's buried back in the pack.
00:39With Cooper Webb.
00:41Boys, what are you doing back there?
00:43You got, oh, the crash.
00:44You got 12 laps to make some moves.
00:46But Hayden Deegan versus Eli Tomac.
00:49Now, I don't know how this is going to go.
00:50But, Ralph, this is a massive gap in generation right here.
00:55Oh, Christian Craig.
00:56These are buddies right here.
00:57Christian Craig was a coach of Hayden Deegan earlier this season.
01:00But, and he gets him there.
01:03He's got him.
01:04But Deegan bounces right back to challenge.
01:07And, hey, Hayden Deegan inside.
01:10Gets back around Craig for a brief second.
01:13Craig got a whole big handful of throttle.
01:16Got back around him again.
01:17And school is in session right now for Hayden Deegan.
01:20Soaking all of this up.
01:22Absolutely.
01:22What an opportunity surrounded by 30-year-old and up legends.
01:29These guys have so much awe.
01:31It's Anderson.
01:33That's a bummer for the championship points.
01:35Wow.
01:35The Pipes Motorsports Group racer, Jason Elombre Anderson, out.
01:41And Roxen has closed up pretty quick.
01:46Roxen finds himself in sixth behind Savace.
01:50Roxen just cased the triple so bad.
01:54Went off the track.
01:55Lost the spot.
01:56Big bubble.
01:57And Craig is right there to try to capitalize.
02:00Craig on the 28.
02:01He's going to have the line on the inside.
02:03He's got the new leader.
02:05Wow.
02:06Nice work, Christian Craig.
02:09Craig doing a great job.
02:12And he puts the quad lock Honda right to the front.
02:16And you read Kosky takes a big sigh of relief.
02:19His guys are leading at his home GP.
02:21Absolutely.
02:21And if you're Christian Craig, you've heard us hype up Tomac and Deegan.
02:26You're probably thinking, you know what?
02:28Get me on that track.
02:29I'm getting better and better on my Honda.
02:32Give me a shot at these boys.
02:33And he just got by both of them in the early laps of this race.
02:35Nice work, Christian Craig.
02:39Here's the points as we race.
02:42Craig and Tomac are tied at 35.
02:46Webb and Roxen right behind them.
02:56Whichever one of these guys wins this moto is basically going to win the overall.
03:01Yeah, that pass was not only for the race win, but for the overall.
03:05We'll have to keep our eye on Webb and Roxen because if they make some moves, they can put themselves in position too.
03:10But if you're Christian Craig, you can't worry about anybody but yourself right now, which is what he is doing.
03:15And he's doing a great job at it.
03:17Two amazing passes.
03:19And now a little defense maybe because Eli Tomac has recovered.
03:22Well, the one thing Tomac's not going to do is panic.
03:26Eli Tomac will get himself in his rhythm and go after him.
03:29And here's Webb with Roxen right behind him.
03:32Those two running in sixth and seventh.
03:35And they've got a long laps yet to go.
03:37So we'll see.
03:40Fitness is definitely going to come into play tonight.
03:42These guys have all trained hard, but they haven't ridden in this kind of heat and humidity in quite a while.
03:47Yeah, 12 minutes isn't the issue as Roxen gets by.
03:50And that may have put him into the overall, but it's the heat.
03:54It's the humidity.
03:55It's just draining of sweat all day.
03:58Looking at the championship standings as we're racing, Roxen leads it with 116, cranked behind with 95 in second.
04:07And there goes Roxen inside of Sibachi.
04:09Couldn't complete the pass yet.
04:13And I'm telling you right now, can Roxen case the triple so bad?
04:17And as a racer, when you land that hard on your feet, it takes a moment for you to regroup and say, hey, am I okay?
04:23Am I okay?
04:23It took him like five seconds, and he was back on the attack, which is what he's been all night long, going back to sprint race number one.
04:32I mean, this guy is so fun to watch make passes.
04:36And we're going to have to see two big ones right here coming from Roxen.
04:39Here's Orenda on the 20 and Sibachi.
04:42And look at the small box.
04:48And you see in the upper box, Christian Craig and Tomek fighting.
04:57And Craig gets to the lead.
05:00Tomek hanging on in second.
05:03Tomek is all over him and makes the pass.
05:12Roxen on the screen here.
05:15Fighting for fourth.
05:17And here's the battle you're hearing everybody screaming about.
05:20Tomek in front of Tomek.
05:22That's second.
05:24And in front of them is Christian Craig.
05:26There's the gap between first and second.
05:28And you see the gap from second to third.
05:30And Tomek didn't panic earlier, but now he better because he's got Deegan and Craig pulling away.
05:35And he's got Roxen closing up.
05:37Absolutely.
05:38And Ken Roxen's passes put him in the position to win this overall.
05:42But Hayden Deegan just passed Eli Tomek.
05:46I mean, again, the generation gap, this battle we've been hyping up.
05:49We got him there as Christian Craig pulls away.
05:52But Hayden Deegan, through the whoops, I'm telling you, that is impressive for him.
05:57On that 450, just learning that bike, gnarly a set of whoops I've seen in a long time, just muscling through him.
06:02What a run.
06:06And here comes Webb on that number two.
06:08And keep an eye on him because he could get into this overall without necessarily winning the race here.
06:14And race number three, as Deegan just continues to climb up three spots now in positions gained.
06:25And Roxen up eight, even after casing the triple.
06:29You know, Ralph, testing the temperament.
06:34Deegan went down in race two, okay?
06:36To be able to bounce back from that 20 minutes, what, 30 minutes later, and go and regroup,
06:42and then make a pass on Eli Tomek, that tells you a lot about his character, his temperament, his mentality.
06:49This right here is proof of what he will be doing in this 450 class.
06:54He is a dog, and this is proof right here.
06:58No doubt about it, there is a bright, bright future on a 450 in front of Hayden Deegan.
07:05And it's really going to kick off in the summer of 2026,
07:10when he races the Outdoor Championship in the United States on a 450 full-time.
07:15Back to the 250 for Supercross in the U.S. in January, and he'll get ready for a 450.
07:23So maybe we'll get lucky, Daniel, where the next time we see Hayden Deegan on a 450 in a Supercross race
07:30will be another FIM World Supercross race in the fall of 2026, which would be exciting as well.
07:38You better be careful.
07:39He may perform himself onto it sooner.
07:41I mean, this is, look at these two.
07:45I mean, we're talking about two of the best in Supercross over the last 10 years.
07:51The amount of race wins, Eli's second on the list all time, and Hayden just, he's just one of them.
07:57And for Ken Roxen, if he can get Tomek here at the end of this one,
08:01it would be huge for him as Tomek and Roxen battling one more time here in FIM World Supercross competition in 2025.
08:11Roxen into the whoops.
08:13Here he comes.
08:13He's got him.
08:14That's a huge mental moment for Ken Roxen to know he put it to the reigning world champ.
08:20Yeah.
08:20And for the overall, that puts him in position, guarantees it.
08:24But I will say, Eli Tomek is having some struggles in that whoops section.
08:30And we saw in Vancouver, they made some little adjustments, as did he.
08:33He got better.
08:34This is a big test right here on how they respond after this race because this has not been great.
08:39This has been a tough race for him.
08:41Not working really well with the whoops.
08:43This is a dry condition, which was not Vancouver.
08:46A lot of tape going to be studied.
08:48Down goes the 98 machine of Austin Politelli.
08:56That's a tough break for him.
08:58Roxen trying to catch Deegan.
09:02Here's Deegan closing on the 38.
09:08And Roxen's behind him.
09:10The riders have to roll through that section.
09:14Waving medical flags like that.
09:16The bike down the center of the track.
09:18Coming soon to the final lap.
09:23You know, Ralph, if you look at Hayden Deegan's Supercross pass, too,
09:26I think he's been better in soft conditions where aggression relief works.
09:31Dry conditions has been tougher for him.
09:33You put him on that 450 with that power, and these dry conditions, what a test pass.
09:40Looking to win the event here.
09:41Daniel, he sits third in the race.
09:45Now we give him two points over Craig, who might win race number three.
09:50But the overall, looking to go to Ken Roxen.
09:53Here's Sibachi holding on right now in front of Webb.
10:05That's a fight for fifth.
10:07Cooper's right there.
10:09Still fight late.
10:13You're right.
10:13These conditions, this weather.
10:16Being tested right now.
10:19And Roxen has gotten around Deegan.
10:25Oh, no, he was working past the slower bike, I believe is what it was.
10:32We're watching in that small screen on the...
10:34Final lap is underway.
10:39Here's Webb.
10:42You know, poor Christian Craig.
10:43Not a lot of TV time when you check out like that.
10:46But what a race.
10:49Big picture for his career.
10:50This is a massive moment.
10:51He knows it.
10:52You see that, it's a happy man.
10:54Checkered flag and Christian Craig lights the candles at the Australian GP.
10:59With a win here in race number three.
11:02Hayden Deegan with an incredible second place run as he bounces back.
11:06And Ken Roxen will get his fifth overall win as he claims the event here at the Australian GP for 2025 on the Gold Coast.
11:18What a night of competition here.
11:22So many storylines.
11:24We saw so much happen.
11:27And there's so much to be happy about for each rider.
11:30And so much to study and learn from, too.
11:33I mean, Christian Craig didn't have a perfect night.
11:34He ended strong.
11:36There are some weaknesses that he could fix early in the night, but he ended strong.
11:39Deegan was great, had his issues.
11:40Tomac Roxen, bad starts for Kenny.
11:43I mean, so much to digest.
11:46What an amazing night of Supercross racing.
11:49And for Christian Craig, that is, I believe, his first career FIM World Supercross victory in a race.
11:59Not the overall, but in a single race.
12:02And Ken Roxen on the Pipe's Motorsports group entry gets the overall victory here in Australia.
12:11Doesn't get the race win, but gets the overall two-time World Supercross champ.
12:24And taking a look at the highlights here as this one got underway.
12:28I thought Tomac was really going to have something here as he got a really good start, Daniel.
12:33Yeah, he answered the question, can you figure out that bike and that start for race three?
12:38And he did, but just had kind of a weird off race where he didn't look comfortable.
12:43He wasn't aggressive.
12:44These two, this is where the aggression was.
12:47I mean, Christian Craig, Hayden Deegan.
12:49Look at Deegan.
12:50He's just throwing it in there with these guys saying, you know what?
12:52I'm one of you now.
12:54I'm going to play the game.
12:55You know what I liked about Deegan in this one?
12:57He didn't look back as much as he did in that second race.
13:01You mentioned Brian.
13:02I would be shocked if Brian Deegan didn't go back and said, boy, when you make passes, you look forward for the next guy.
13:09And that's why, hey, that team has done very well in their pro career together.
13:13Brian's a smart man.
13:14I would be surprised if that wasn't discussed.
13:16Yep.
13:17Well, we said he was here to learn, and he did.
13:20And he showed that he got an A on his final exam, didn't he?
13:24Yeah, hey, that's right.
13:25Fourth quarter before college, or before the summertime, get an A on the report card.
13:31Oh, there's that crash.
13:32Oh, man, that was big for Politelli.
13:37And Christian Craig, there it is, lighting the candles, and he knows I'm a winner in FIM World Supercross competition.
13:48And that's bigger than just tonight.
13:50And that's cool, too.
13:51Christian Craig was coaching Hayden Deegan earlier this year.
13:54Now they race together and go 1-2.
13:57What a moment.
13:58Yeah, he's got a couple lessons left to teach you, son.
14:00Let's go to Kristen.
14:01Ken Rockson, our overall winner on the night.
14:06Ken, you were the most consistent rider tonight, week in and week out.
14:11You were that guy.
14:12What does that take during the week to show up big on a weekend like this?
14:15I mean, a lot of hard work.
14:17Like, we really have been working super hard.
14:19I've always been getting pretty good off the gate, but then kind of got closed off.
14:22And with this dirt, how tight the start is, like, it decides basically within a thousandth of a second, you know.
14:29Then once you roll, like, the entire section afterwards, in the second main, I just took my time.
14:36Like, people are cross-jumping left and right.
14:38So it was hard to just attack, but I'm pretty pumped.
14:41It's really good practice to come from behind and make passes happen.
14:45And this is what I've done pretty much almost all of the weekends.
14:48So really happy with my riding.
14:50I crushed the whoops.
14:51And, yeah, pumped to get away with the overall.
14:54Can I dare say you're riding better now than maybe you ever have in your career?
15:00Does it feel that way for you?
15:01I believe so.
15:02I think, you know, back when I was younger, I was really fast.
15:06And it's a little bit hard to compare, but I do feel like I'm a more rounded racer at the moment.
15:11Comfortable in my own skin and making smarter decisions.
15:14The racecrafts showing up big tonight at the Australian GP for Ken Rockson.
15:24Christian Craig, a defining win in GP Race 3.
15:34I would almost guess emotional.
15:37It's been a while since you've taken a GP Race win, whether it be here or in the States.
15:43How meaningful is it?
15:45Yeah, it means a lot for sure.
15:46I can sit here and give you a lot of stories of why I shouldn't be racing dirt bikes right now.
15:51But we're here.
15:52I just beat some legends, some champions, and proved that I can still do this.
15:59And, man, that was so much fun.
16:01I've known Hayden for a long time.
16:03We're pretty close friends.
16:04So to have him pacing me, I'm happy for him.
16:07Also, everybody else that was racing, I'm a tough second moto, but rebounding in that third one.
16:12And first win in a long time.
16:14So we'll take this and go to Sweden next weekend.
16:17You said at the beginning of the season you feel like you're starting to maybe find yourself again.
16:22What is it about this team that's allowing you to do that?
16:25Yeah, it's for sure the whole Quad Lock AMX Superstore Honda.
16:29Yareev just believing in me.
16:31I was in some crappy situations early on, but we're not going to complain.
16:34We're here in a good spot.
16:36I have a good team behind me and people that want me on their team.
16:39So shout out to the people that counted me out, people that I thought were close to me.
16:44This one's for you.
16:47Christian Craig, second overall on the night.
16:49Congratulations on your first podium of the season after two fourths overall to finally make the podium is a huge accomplishment for Christian Craig.
16:58And now, Cooper Webb in your World Supercross debut.
17:03The format was new for you.
17:05The bike even was new for you.
17:06On a brand new chassis.
17:07How did you find yourself on the podium after such a big night full of new things to learn and adjustments?
17:16Yeah, it was overall a good night.
17:17You know, I was able to get that one win in the second one, but I was a little bad at myself that ride.
17:21Just didn't get the start I needed.
17:23Went into the last race with a chance to win it all and didn't execute.
17:26It was all about the whoops tonight and getting starts, and I didn't execute either one of those in the last one.
17:31So I'm a little bummed at myself, but overall the experience has been awesome.
17:33These fans were great.
17:35The racing was action-packed, and hopefully I can be back for more.
17:38I want to give it up to the whole Star Racing team.
17:40Monster Energy, my mechanic peanut, Fly Racing, 100% Alpine Stars, my wife.
17:46And, yeah, like I said, we'll take the podium, even though I'm a little disappointed with that last moto.
17:50But, yeah, we'll get ready for the domestic series now and get to work.
17:54And that will round out your Australian GP podium and the SX1 class.
17:58But before we round it out, we're going to go ahead and talk to Hayden Deegan.
18:01And I spoke with your dad at the conclusion of that race, and he said that's how we wanted to end it.
18:06That's the Hayden Deegan we're used to seeing.
18:07But a night full of adversity.
18:10How deep did you have to dig to find yourself third in that GP race?
18:14Yeah, I don't really want to get into exactly what I had to do with today, but to get to this point.
18:18But I'm just going to say this.
18:19I was battling with Eli Tomac, and I was like a little kid.
18:22I was like in shock the whole time.
18:24I was like, I just passed Eli Tomac.
18:25I just passed Eli Tomac.
18:26I was tripping the whole time.
18:27That was badass.
18:28But anyways, good job to Christian, man.
18:31I know he's been through a lot.
18:32So to see that happen, I felt like a, I don't know, a happy son.
18:37But yeah, that was good.
18:39We fought hard, and yeah, it was awesome.
18:42Hayden, well done.
18:43Way to close out the night.
18:44Way to close out the night.
18:48Way to close out the night.
18:49Way to close out the night.
18:49Way to close out the night.
18:49Way to close out the night.
18:50Way to close out the night.
18:50Way to close out the night.
18:51Wow.
18:52So much to unpack.
18:54Let's start with that interview right there.
18:56Hayden genuinely, I think, was having the time of his life racing with the legend.
19:00But I feel like you do that once or twice, and all of a sudden, Jace, the standard will change,
19:06and you'll be like, wait, I am one of you.
19:08And now it doesn't feel that way.
19:09And to me, I saw enough to say, that kid is going to be a man on a 450,
19:15and his mentality is going to carry him to a lot of success on that bike.
19:19Argentina was good.
19:21Let's just be, let's be fair.
19:22He hit first 450 race, and he gets on the podium.
19:25This was better than.
