00:40this is the fourth time that he has had a coach fired in season the fourth time that is almost

00:51impossible um 2019 ron rivera went when when um when burns is a rookie ron rivera it was fired

00:58during the season 2022 matt rule fired during the season from the panthers 2023 frank reich fired

01:06during the season by the panthers 2025 brian dabel fired during the season by the giants um yeah i

01:14mean brian burns like yeah yeah i've been through this yeah i've been through this you know so his

01:18message was this and this was he you know he's a leader certainly but he's not mr rah rah get up

01:24in front of the team and say but he said he said and i said did you say this to the whole team he said

01:28yes let me read you what he said i just told him in situations like this everyone's under evaluation

01:34nobody's gonna turn on the film and be like oh this was after dave's got fired that's why he's playing

01:41that way nobody cares i told him there was ever a time to play your best ball it's now if there's

01:50ever a time to bond together and stick together it's now that's right look there's not sometimes

01:55there's one or two games left and kind of guys kind of mail it in and you know looking for for

01:59the door and aruba and you know and the offseason and maybe free agency there's seven games left there's

02:05no time for that it's half a season left basically so he's saying look no one's gonna say oh yeah dave's

02:10got fired they have an interim head coach you know it's it's whatever because and and and you

02:15know what and and and darius slayton who's been around the giants since 2019 also said um something

02:22very he said the human nature would be to have you we have two wins through 10 games and we have seven

02:28games left and some people would pack it in because our head coach got fired he said the reality of this

02:33league is change with change comes change and you don't know whether you will or will not be a part

02:39of those changes so this and this is good you know slayton was good he said it would behoove you

02:45as an individual to do your best over these last seven weeks and give your best effort and try to

02:51get some wins on the board in order to keep yourself in a giants uniform okay that's mostly what i tell

02:59guys so you know look we've been here before it's like you know you want to be here things like that

03:04we talked about an audition for mike kafka and it is but it's an audition for everybody joe shane you

03:10know he you know he's he's he's gonna do the the uh coaching search but you know he's he'll have an

03:15evaluation after the season it's not set in stone he's coming back forever um a lot of new things

03:21gonna be here um mike kafka will either be here the the odds are against it right now you know i mean

03:27he's not the favorite to get this job he's got a lot of work to do in these seven games

03:31um we'll see but yeah change is coming and change is needed and um you know you want to be part of
