00:05the Giants as they have fired head coach Brian Dayball he had a 2040 and one record

00:11after four seasons in New York we are going to react to this through this live show a lot of

00:17great people coming on to talk and one of the first people joining me is one of the best in

00:22the business when it comes to NFL reporting the great Joe Cena Anderson also host of the exhibit

00:27joins me now Joe what's going on how are you obviously big breaking news going on in the

00:32middle of trying to tape a podcast and then boom comes the news on head coach Brian Dayball as you

00:37mentioned out as head coach some of us thought the Giants would wait until the bye week but the news

00:42happens now yeah it was it was a bit of shock well let me think about that because I think when you

00:48talk back to yesterday and look back at yesterday and what happened with the Giants and another

00:52collapse Joe was this something that you expected to come you said you thought a lot of people

00:57thought it may happen after the bye week but did you expect this to come eventually where the Giants

01:01would move on from Brian Dayball well I just think what accelerated it is one another loss and then

01:07two just the controversy over what happened with rookie quarterback Jackson Dart in that game I mean

01:13if everyone who watched the game saw that he had that fumble with about five minutes and 14 seconds

01:18left in the third quarter and then the Bears came back on the field again for another offensive series

01:24but what made it egregious is that anyone looking at that play could see that Jackson Dart hit his head

01:31on the field didn't reach for the fumble which would be another indication of something happening

01:36but even after the Bears came on the field after that for offense Jackson Dart came on the field after

01:42that for another two plays before anybody even the independent spotter who's supposed to be watching

01:48out for this at the NFL game even noticed that something was wrong and so it's that coupled with

01:54the fact that this is the fourth time that Jackson Dart has been evaluated for a concussion it's that on top

02:00of the fact that even the franchise was fined for violating the concussion protocol in the amount of

02:07100,000 excuse me 200,000 Brian Dable got 100 even Cam Scadaboo got 15 and then just the fact that I

02:14think overall when you're looking at his management of the entire team there's some some questions there

02:21to be definitely had Brian Dable is not just the head coach of Jackson Dart you credit him for you

02:26know stomping on the table being emphatic about the organization getting him but when you're looking at

02:32all of these decisions as a whole there are a lot of questions that come up I think one of the things

02:37Joe that people thought maybe would save Dable was the fact that he was so emphatic about Jackson

02:42Dart and kind of hitched his wagon to him obviously put place him as the starter early in the season and

02:47we've seen some of the development of Dart did you think at all that the fact Dart had played well

02:52under Dable would save him here are you a bit shocked that that didn't save him at all for keeping his job

02:58well I think it at first it looked like it might help but I do think that the over

03:05uh writing opinion is that you know Dart showed his talent and his skill set um which has provided

03:12optimism for the franchise but that Dable doesn't necessarily uh have to be the coach to lead him

03:19to the next frontier and then obviously the Giants by their decision is showing that they feel like

03:24another uh head coach can do that I think the big concern with Jackson Dart even coming out of that

03:30game is not just the fact that he obviously has suffered a concussion but also it's he's not

03:36providing optimism for the franchise if he's not available right so I mean when you go back to

03:42Tua Tagovailoa and and Tua suffering uh what most people feel like was three concussions in 2022

03:50you know people were having discussions even around that year which was very very controversial

03:55about you know him potentially having his career cut short and whether it was even smart for him to

04:00continue to go on now obviously he's played this season he got another big contract after that

04:04and so he's been able to um you know flourish in play but had he suffered another one that definitely

04:10would have opened up even another discussion and I think right now it doesn't it didn't help the

04:15situation that Jackson Dart had more medical tent visits than the team had wins and obviously there

04:21were a lot of questions to be desired as far as the management of his utilization relative to him

04:27putting himself in that position whether it be the the design runs that were called or the message not

04:32getting across to Dart or again just remembering that that Brian Dayball is the head coach of the entire

04:37team and not just uh the quarterback
