00:00all right by now everybody knows monday's breaking news brian dable is out joe shane
00:10has been retained as gm and mike kafka is going to take over as interim head coach
00:15what's got what's up guys brennan london here alongside long time giants beat writer for the
00:19post paul schwartz paul what's up what's going on my man we both were uh kind of tied up with
00:25the traveling back to new york yesterday when all of the news dropped where were you when you found
00:31out and what were your initial thoughts when you found out that brian dable was out brandon hello
00:37i'm trying to think of my geography to think where i was maybe i was over um i don't know des moines i
00:44don't know maybe maybe uh the uh the pittsburgh allegheny area i guess yeah i was flying back
00:50from chicago as anyone who traveled this weekend uh very difficult travel situations with um
00:55you know uh the stoppages and things like that and delays so yes uh i covered another loss in in
01:03chicago uh hard to believe but not hard to believe and um so we'll break it down yeah and um so
01:10certainly not shocked uh you know we've done this a lot brandon you know these blue rush uh podcasts and
01:17you know after a bunch of them um we maybe not speculated about someone being fired but it's
01:23certainly uh we talked about a lot of losses and when you talk about a lot of losses this is the
01:27inevitable next step 20 40 and one as head coach and let's kind of just go through what brian dable
01:34did and somewhat what he didn't do as head coach paul he came in in 2022 and he just completely just
01:40took over the city i'm talking nine seven and one record they went to the playoffs that first
01:46game he captured the fan base's heart and and and trust when you go for it on on a two-point
01:53conversion you get it with saquon barkley you're playing big biggie smalls is juicy in the locker
01:59room smoking cigars you get branded as brian day balls and then it all just went downhill from there
02:06six and 11 in 2023 three and 14 and then we have a two and eight uh start to the uh 2025 season
02:13how did you hear or what do you know about how it all went down when do you think ownership and
02:22management kind of made that decision to where it was like okay it's now time to move on
02:27um very recently you know i mean this is this is certainly i don't know say been brewing but look
02:34the record is the record the uh terrible losses are the terrible losses so after uh steve tish the co uh
02:39one of the giants co-owners was in chicago for the game uh john mara was not he is not making all
02:45these road trips because he is in cancer treatment so uh john mara was home steve tish was at the game
02:50i saw steve tish go into the locker room afterwards so monday morning um steve tish and john mara had a
02:57phone conversation okay uh john from the office uh steve tish from i believe probably west coast i would
03:03imagine uh they had a phone conversation and um at in that conversation it was agreed upon that they
03:10were going to and needed to make a change at the head coach position not at the general manager position
03:15but at the head coach position after that um phone conversation um john mara and uh called joe shane
03:24into his office and said this is what we are doing you're staying brian dayball is leaving
03:30and mike kafka is going to be the interim head coach that was a decision made by ownership not by
03:36joe shane okay so anyone who says joe shane won a power struggle here uh joe shane did not fire brian
03:42dayball the owners fired brian dayball after that um john mara and you know with steve tish on the line
03:49called in brian dayball and informed him they were making a move and he was no longer going to be the
03:54giants head coach this is the harsh reality of it and then uh the giants had a regularly scheduled
04:001 p.m team meeting um at that team meeting joe shane led the meeting and announced to the team
04:09that there was a coaching change and brian dayball was no longer the head coach and mike kafka was now
04:13the interim head coach mike kafka then spoke to the team for the first time as the head coach
04:19um from what i understand he um uh said it was a very difficult day uh that he was there because
04:26of brian dayball many of the players were there because of brian dayball bring them in and coaching
04:31them and things like that they had to move on there was great opportunity in these last seven games
04:35and they had to stick together uh brian dayball was not in that team meeting did not address the team
04:41as a group uh he was in the locker room afterwards um talking quietly privately individually
04:47with some players yes including jackson dart um and away we go that's the way it went down
04:53you know as a again i always bring this up as a son of a former head coach who's been fired as a
04:59player who has been a part of regimes where they've had to move on if they fired a coach i just look at
05:05this as the business side of things i love brian dayball love the conversations that we would have in
05:10the in the in the cafeteria love this offense but at the end of the day it's a business ball and we
05:16talked about the numbers why i don't know why from 2022 he wasn't able to sustain the success that
05:24he had in that first year but there are a lot of fans when you look at the timeline and you look at
05:30the group chats that you're in with with some of the fan groups and all out there there are a lot of
05:35people that are split on why brian dayball was fired and joe shane retained you have been all over
05:43this this regime covering them from day one what was it what would you think were the factors that
05:51led ownership to say hey we're going to keep joe shane and let brian dable go yeah i wrote in the
05:59new york post last week um it was um election day and we had a back page of split ticket and um that
06:04they are not a they are not a um package deal which i was always led to believe they're not you
06:09know it's not um i understand fans um angst over this they wanted everybody gone they wanted shane
06:15bowen gone a month ago they wanted brian dable gone they wanted joe shane gone they wanted brandon
06:19london gone they probably wanted me gone um they wanted um the guys in our technical support gone they
06:26want everybody gone right they want everybody gone they want the parking attendants gone i get it i get
06:31it i'm being facetious but i get it you know the record is the record it's a terrible record so um
06:36they want everybody gone um my my best reporting is this okay is that um ownership feels this is a
06:45better roster than two and eight okay a better roster maybe you know not an eight and two roster
06:50but a better roster and the numbers you you mentioned the numbers right you know uh 20 40 and
06:56one um they are two and eight here let's break down the numbers a little bit and this may lead to some
07:01of the decision why joe shane stayed and brian dable was was um fired is that they were two and
07:07eight for three consecutive seasons right this is the third straight season and in those seasons
07:12everyone was watching to see we're spiraling down here how does the head coach get about at us out of
07:18it and in all three of those years he has not been able to do this as we don't know what's going to
07:23happen now from two and eight there was no sense that he could get them out of that spiral
07:27after the last two years of not getting them out of that spiral as you know as the former head as a
07:33son of a head coach um it's not all on the head coach but it has to be on the head coach the record
07:39is assigned to a head coach that's just the way it is um another thing the biggest damning number
07:46of all is this oh and four brandon oh and four in road games this season where they had a double
07:53digit a 10 point or larger lead in the fourth quarter four times on the road in dallas in new
08:00orleans in denver in chicago they had the lead sometimes in dallas and in denver in the closing
08:08minute of regulation and did not win the game that can happen sometimes in a season it cannot happen
08:15all four times you're in that situation so i think this particular game in chicago when they had the
08:22a double digit lead in the fourth quarter and did not hold it you know fans you've spoken to them
08:29they've texted you on social media and interactions they were like we saw it coming we knew it was going
08:35to happen they blew it again we had no faith in them holding that lead in chicago and i think when
08:40fans are thinking that ownership is thinking some of that and so that was the most damning thing
08:46um clearly ownership thinks that you know and look joe shane he's on going into the last year of
08:52his contract he'll have to get some kind of modest extension because he is leading the search for the
08:57next head coach you can't have bring in head coaching candidates and say to joe shane what is
09:02your contract steps oh i'm going into my lame duck year in 2026 and the candidate's going to say
09:08but why the hell am i going to sign here to be your head coach if you may be gone in a year and then
09:13i'm floating in the wind here so they'll give him but this is not going to be a lifetime appointment
09:17his job analysis will be done after the season there will be checks there will be minuses pluses
09:24minuses i guarantee you um it's he's joe shane is not going to be anointed king of the giants here by any
09:30stretch of the imagination he has had a lot of misses part of the reason for this firing is on joe shane
09:37and his picks and his signings there is no question about it it's on a lot of people it is on joe shane
09:44as well but ownership decided this is not a two and a team and that here's what here's the last thing
09:50i'll say on that brandon is that you can say okay the roster is what it is right in the fourth quarter
09:56of these games they had a double digit lead with this roster so at some point in those games with
10:04this roster the head coach and the defensive coordinator and the offensive coordinator and
10:09all the support staff have to figure out a way to win some of those four games one of them two of
10:16them one of them might have been able to save them if he won the game in chicago on monday on sunday
10:21maybe they say okay it's a stay of execution i think it would have been i don't think they would
10:25have fired him then but the denver game then how did they respond to that they lost at home then they
10:31have a lead in chicago and they lose it was too much for the ownership to bear and they looked at
10:36it and said this is not a roster strength or weakness issue this is the fact that for whatever
10:42reason this head coach can't get us to finish these games and that was it bill parcell said what
10:49the gm buys the groceries it's up to the head coach to go out there and cook it and i think we can all
10:54agree and not to point fingers or anything but again when management is sitting there and they're
10:59talking about this the business side of it the groceries were there and it's up to the head coach
11:05to put the final cherry on top or whatever and close those games out so i understand people can
11:11look at this roster and be like well well it doesn't compete with the chiefs rosters or the maybe the
11:17eagles roster they beat the eagles they were in the game against the chiefs at one point it was a one
11:23possession game against the chiefs so it's about winning winning these football games and closing
11:29these football games is a head coach's job and that's just wasn't what was it hasn't been done
11:35the last couple of years and you mentioned the players feeling some sort of way because
11:40you know that's brian dable brought us in at the same time if brian dable brought you in joe shane
11:48brought you in so i don't know if there's a you don't want the players to be in some sort of oh
11:53where does my loyalty lie who's who are you more loyal to the guy that brought you in or the guy
11:59that i mean the guy that that that scouted you and brought you in or the guy that maybe gave you
12:04your first start or gave you your opportunity but when we talk a lot of people have been talking
12:08about some of joe shane's draft picks like let's say say a tay banks paul 2022 tay banks had what two
12:15interceptions his rookie year was his best year after that he they didn't get anything out of him
12:21so is that the gm or is that the coaching staff and when people say well he did well under wink
12:28the head coach fired wink martindale so it's a whole trickle effect and again i hate the whole
12:34pointing fingers and that's what we're in in this business because again i look at it as it's on all of
12:40us it's on absolutely all of us you catch that pass you don't throw that interception you're where you
12:46need to be in prevent defense so there's not a a deep uh dig route converted in the back back of
12:53your head you're where you need to be as a player then guys get the state of execution guys get to be
12:59along around a lot longer it takes all of us is basically what i'm saying so there's just so many
13:05fingers to point and it's such a complicated issue it just sucks that we go from i remember
13:12october 9th 2022 we're in london twickenham stadium they come back beat the packers i take this video
13:19that gets like goes super viral million views of million views plus joe shane brian dable hugging
13:26each other dabe's coming off the entire fan base was fired up paul and i think that was the hype
13:32of it all and then it just kind of came downhill and unraveled and it's it just is what it is so
13:40now that mike kafka paul is the interim head coach two things and i'll just let you run with it
13:47one do you think he makes any sort of coaching changes specifically on the defensive side of the ball
13:54two what do you think this means for jackson dart because that was brian dables his guy
14:01yeah um let's do the second one first because look giant fans giant fans you know jackson dart is
14:08but they didn't make this move for jackson dart i think people get a little crazy here you know
14:13there's a couple of miss just complete misnomers joe shane didn't draft jackson dart for brian dable
14:19you know it wasn't you know that that video from from that was released after the draft where
14:24where where uh joe shane is saying okay you know we did the check the boxes you're good with them right
14:29you want them you want them people looked at and that that and said well shane wasn't really
14:34committed to jackson dart he just said you want him okay you want him so jane joe shane shouldn't
14:38get credit for drafting him it's nonsense it's garbage it's just not true absolutely joe shane
14:44is not going to trade up into the number 25 pick in the first round of the draft after this whole
14:48exhaustive process and say you know what i don't love the guy but if our head coach likes him so be it
14:54okay it's your neck you know you want him fine the coaches loved him dable loved him the scouts
15:00eventually loved him the the um you know the the uh assistant coaches loved him it is the front
15:07office this was an organizational thing to bring jackson dart here everybody loved him including
15:11the head coach and that's the way it's supposed to work you love him okay let's see let's see let's
15:16see we love him you love him we're going to try to get him period that's it joe shane gets credit
15:20for trading for him brian dable gets credit for helping mold him and craft him and and and turn
15:27him into the favor right now to be the offensive rookie of the year kudos to brian dable that was
15:33a great connection it seemed like so now moving forward mike kofka look it's it's his play caller
15:38they have a good relationship um jackson dart from what i'm told you know he spoke with brian dable
15:44yesterday about this dable went up to him uh jackson dart handled it professionally he was not
15:50happy about it but he handled it professionally uh jackson dart's 22 years old but he is wise beyond
15:56his years he understands the business of it he's answered every question about this possible coaching
16:00change very professionally very maturely um and um you know it's not jimmy chitwood here you know
16:07coach stays i play coach goes i go you know that's a movie it was a great movie i loved hoosiers i loved
16:13it but that was a movie and this is reality so that's the way it works here coat you know jackson dart says
16:20coach stays i stay i play coach goes i play also for the new coach and that's the way it is that's
16:27the light for the nfl um you know fans say well what they should have fired shane bow and he was the
16:33first one to go you know you have seven games to go here right so you you have to do things now to put
16:38the team in the best position to win some games so mike kofka being the the interim head coach makes
16:45total sense you know he's next in line um you know he had associate head coach in his resume anyway
16:51i assume he will keep the play calling will he give it to shay tierney i highly doubt that shay tierney
16:57is the quarterbacks coach has not called plays in the nfl before so that is a tough load for mike kofka
17:04i'm going to call the plays and i'm going to be the head coach so you know where do you divide your
17:08loyalties because you know you can't just be let shane bowen handle the defense i'll handle the
17:13offense and you know i'll i'll let um you know the special teams coordinator go be handled special
17:18teams and i'll kind of be the head coach but and i'll make the uh should we punt or should we go for
17:22his decisions too he wants to be the stand-up guy for the entire room now that's going to be tough
17:27mike kofka is going to have to show a different side of him and um so what is it what sense does it
17:33make for him to fire shane bowen i thought in chicago shane bowen actually called a fine game
17:38down the stretch he mixed up his coverages he mixed up his protection his his you know
17:43man zone he showed them different things um you know as i wrote in the post shane bowen can lead
17:50cave on thibodeau to the waters of sacks but he can't make them he can make him drink you know
17:55cave on thibodeau probably whipped on three sacks in that game yeah was that bad scheming no it was
18:00cave on thibodeau's got to make a darn play and put the quarterback down an elusive good running
18:04quarterback a strong running quarterback so firing shane bowen now means that they elevate somebody else
18:10the defensive coordinator you can't make a lot of changes you know your father knows you know as a
18:15as a former player you can't make a hundred changes in in one in three days before you play a game
18:21so you know bowen stays with the defense kofka stays with the offense kofka gets added responsibility
18:27and away we go again it goes back to the whole players play coaches coach and you're it's funny you
18:33bring up the cave on thing because it kind of goes back to this whole james franklin thing james franklin
18:39when he was fired from from penn state the following week the players are getting off the
18:44bus with this if shirt and everybody's like oh you know what does that mean what does that mean to me
18:49i'm looking at it like if y'all would have won some top 10 games you'd still have your head coach
18:55so if you the player if you make the catch you make the sack then people are not breathing down the neck
19:02of your defensive coordinator or your head coach doesn't get fired i always look at it from that end of
19:07it but now when we talk about jackson dart what this means for jackson dart and why people were so
19:13excited about brian dart being the guy for jackson dart brian dable had joe had josh allen from 2018
19:21until 2021 his rookie year 2018 2000 yards 2019 3000 4500 his last year with them 4400 yards last two
19:32years he had josh allen 37 touchdowns 36 touchdowns 2022 to 2024 because 2025 hasn't been completed yet
19:42josh allen 42 43 37 and he took a little hit in terms of the for touchdowns now he did get a league
19:52mvp but i'm wondering the next guy that comes in that gets his hands on jackson dart has to be
20:00at least on brian dable's caliber because if jackson dart takes a step back then somebody's going to
20:09have to answer for that so joe shane now being um the guy that's going to be bringing in the new head
20:19coach paul you've been covering this organization for a long time i think what is this the seventh head
20:25coach whether it be interim or or or a full-time head coach in the last what decade or so joe shane
20:33really has to get this thing right so since we're always at this point of blue rush we're either
20:40always talking quarterbacks in the next draft class or a new head coach now who do you like or who do you
20:48think are some names out there that could be some strong potential candidates as the next giants head
20:54coach so first of all i'll get that in one second first of all just about jackson dart you know you
21:00mentioned you know the next guy do you think jackson dart is tough to coach i don't absolutely not you
21:04don't absolutely not i think i think he'd like to coach i would love to i would love to coach that kid
21:09absolutely yeah i mean i think there's you could line up uh the 50 guys right now and you say you want
21:15to go to battle with jackson dart they'd say yeah sure you know that's a plus that's a plus so so
21:20i don't think he's tough to coach no i think he's it's important to coach him certainly and and i would
21:25just say that the whole theory out there that the last straw was seeing jackson dart in the medical
21:31tent and having a concussion that that you know there was a recklessness and that that was not part of
21:36this you know that was not part of you know what we have to fire brian dable because he's reckless
21:41with jackson dart and he got him hurt see um now i do think brian dable tried with jackson dart but
21:49publicly he kept on supporting him and saying that you know you know it's okay you know i can't take
21:54that aggressiveness away from him and i do think jackson dart needed to be reined in a little bit
21:59now the play got he got hurt he's running the ball he's got blockers in front of him i mean there was no
22:05you know james illuminor he you know dart is just riding his hip and running behind him there was nothing
22:10reckless about that the ball gets knocked loose he gets thrown to the ground he hits his head on the
22:14ground you know that was that was that was a a rough physical play i don't think it was reckless you
22:19know i think there's other things that were i looked at jackson dart and i said look you're 22 years old
22:24you're not superman you need to live for another play so that i don't think but that's not the reason
22:29they fired him now as far as the candidates um i think mike kofka is a candidate i think mike kofka has to
22:36move himself into candidate status and this is an audition for him do i think he's the front runner
22:42no i don't know if there's any front there's no front runner right now this just happened yesterday
22:46but mike kofka is respected in the building um he will be he's 38 years old he will be a head coach
22:51in this league at some point he just will be he's gotten a million he's gotten a bunch of of of
22:57interviews you know he's gotten second interviews he's a smart guy um it'll be very interesting to see
23:02how he changes or if he changes his personality with the players with the media if he's more
23:08forceful more stand up i thought this year mike kofka took a step forward as far as um showing us
23:14some of his personality i think having a guy like jackson dart to coach helps right it helps to talk
23:19about good things your quarterback is doing absolutely so um you know we'll see how that pans out look
23:25here's some names uh jeff halfley we just anyone who watched the game last night the packers have a
23:30terrific defense he's a defensive coordinator the packers he's a guy from new jersey he's got
23:35head coaching experience at boston college okay the giants have strong ties to boston college um
23:42john mara undergraduate boston college uh tom coughlin head coach boston college right so there is boston
23:50college connections with the giants i'm not saying that's why they would hire him but halfley's a guy who
23:55i think will be a head coach in the league at some point i think he is certainly on the list jersey
23:59been a head coach packers good defense certainly makes sense you know i'll put lane kiffin on the
24:05list he's he was jackson darts coach at old miss he was a failed head coach for the raiders um what
24:11was he i think five and fifteen uh 2007 2008 um i wouldn't put him at the top of the list right now
24:17but and i look i just don't think you have to go out there and say oh my gosh we need to bring
24:23someone in for jackson we need to bring in someone that jackson is comfortable with um i don't think
24:28so i see uh bill belichick as a picture on our thing i would take him off the picture i don't think
24:33he's a candidate um at all i don't uh we'll see john gruden do i think he's a candidate no i'll put
24:39him on the list that's a good picture jackson dart and steve spagnolo um i think spags is on the list
24:45um you know he's a great guy everyone loves spags he is he is hallowed in the giants building
24:50everyone loves him everyone loves him in kansas city he is a hall of fame defensive coordinator
24:55he was not a very good head coach with the rams um i don't know if they would bring him back for
25:01that he was the interim head coach for the giants um after ben mcadoo got fired he went one and three
25:06i'm not sure that's a great move right now but he would certainly be on the list because he has
25:11such high regard in the building kevin stefanski if he leaves on the browns um he would have been
25:17pat sherman's offensive coordinator in 2018 with the giants wouldn't that have been interesting
25:22with uh daniel jones but uh he uh uh sherman was blocked from that move and he couldn't make that
25:28move okay you know what how about mike tomlin you know you know are things running stale in pittsburgh
25:34probably is he going to you know have a lifetime commitment and stay there forever maybe maybe not
25:40um is there any tom coughlin in mike tomlin a guy who looks like who was a great head coach
25:46who maybe is wearing out his welcome and staying too long in his first spot jacksonville for coughlin
25:53pittsburgh for tomlin and uh the giants and and the steelers have you know the rooney family the
25:59maher family are very closely connected everyone knows that um maybe throwing it out there uh cliff
26:06kingsbury uh did very doing great things with jayden daniels and the commander's offense coordinator
26:12three years head coach cardinals some good some bad he's got head coaching experience how about
26:17luana rumo okay staten island guy he's the cult defensive coordinator um they're doing great um he's
26:24um local and he was the giant defensive back coach in 2018 a lot of people have high regard for him in the
26:31building and um um you know i think that's a good list i think that's a very good list you know the
26:36notre dame coach i saw we had a picture of him you know um i think there's some i know there is some
26:45high regard for him in the giants building uh notre dame head coach fits a very strong profile um
26:51you know freeman um let me let me throw let me throw a couple names to you paul yeah let me throw a
26:57couple names to wink martindale no antonio pierce head coach no i don't think so no i don't think so
27:08i mean i mean would he get an interview is he you have to remember um it's also who does joe shane
27:13have a connection with maybe it's somebody has no connection with um um i mean i wouldn't say no
27:19to antonio pierce i think he's he's um not a front runner right now like i said i don't think there
27:25any front runners right now i would love to talk to antonio pierce if i was joe shane i mean he's
27:30got a lot of high regard in the building last but not least davis webb head coach no okay no
27:38offensive coordinator um depends on who the head coach is oh here's one here's one i should throw
27:44out there i think there's some he will be a head coach only jesse minter okay okay okay defensive
27:50coordinator chargers was a tremendous defensive coordinator for michigan he is going to be a head
27:58coach okay now you see look in seattle what they're doing with a young former defensive coordinator
28:04right you know everyone wants we got to get that that's the brilliant offensive coordinator we got
28:10to get the next guy he's got to work with our quarterback you need a leader of men right yeah is
28:15your father a leader of men absolutely absolutely that's what he has to be i'm sure he's got
28:21tremendous acumen as a football mind you must be a leader of men in college and in the nfl when you
28:27get up there you must be a presence you're not a friend you're not a mentor you're a leader okay
28:33you're you're a sounding board you're a shoulder to cry on you're you're a you're a guy to get you
28:38know maybe you got a little swift kick in the butt but you have to be a leader of men um so a guy
28:42like jesse minter i think is is is a guy who people around the league look at and say he will
28:48be a head coach these guys are all wild cards when you when you everyone's a wild card you know you
28:56know mike mccarthy is probably not a wild card you want to bring him him in he's won a super bowl good
29:02with quarterbacks maybe a little long in the tooth you want to bring him in he's solid he'll be
29:07representative he's a class act is he exciting no will he be good for jackson dart probably
29:13you know doug peterson will he be good for jackson dart probably so you can go a lot of different
29:19directions anytime you take a coordinator who's never been an nfl head coach you it is a tremendous
29:24leap of faith most don't make it some do so who's going to be the the owner and the gm to say you know
29:32what this is the guy you know they tried it with dable they tried it with mcadoo you know you you
29:38you try it with a lot of people it often doesn't work but when it works it's great and you say he
29:44has to be a leader of men obviously obviously the leader of men in that locker room but you got to be
29:48a leader of a of a fan base as well when it comes to coaching this team so win win win if you win
29:57the fan base look no further why did he get fired two and eight oh and four in games where they had
30:04a lead it's about winning they haven't won in three years um you can fire everybody but you can fire a
30:11coordinator in baseball you fire the pitching coach or the hitting coach you know before you do the
30:15manager they decided you know look it's not going to work with brian we're not going to have him here
30:21after this season we should do it now win if you win the fan base doesn't care if you're fat
30:26if you're skinny if you're emotional if you look like a a a monk on the bench win the game it
30:34doesn't matter if you're like this and nobody sees your face on the sideline win more games than you
30:40lose win in the clutch have a lead in the fourth quarter hold the lead win the game brian dable
30:47pumping his fist it's great i like brian dable was it all on him no it was not all on him i will go on
30:54the record as saying no i think he could be a good head coach but he did not win enough and he knew
31:00he was not shocked by this when you lose almost all the time this change is made the fans will love you
31:09if you win just win baby and you know who said that so that's going to be an interesting coaching
31:16search there but all right we're going to wrap this episode up we'll be at practice on wednesday
31:22obviously mike kafka is going to speak for the first time as interim head coach we're going to
31:26go into the locker room talk to a lot of fans so there's a lot that look forward to on thursday's
