Expect some isolated showers for the rest of the week, Rochelle Edwards got the details in our weather forecast

00:00Thanks, Nisha. Good afternoon, Trinidad and Tobago. It's now time for your weather.
00:05Starting with what happened today, activity over Trinidad increased today,
00:10with widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms affecting parts of its northern and eastern regions.
00:17Now, keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Erin, Erin continues to push westward in the Atlantic Ocean
00:23and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane by Friday afternoon
00:27and become a major hurricane by Sunday morning.
00:31Again, there are currently no alerts or warnings in effect for Trinidad and Tobago.
00:36That's some good news here.
00:38Heading over to conditions in Portiswind presently, TV6's Weather Center says downtown is mostly clear,
00:44with temperatures at 31 degrees Celsius.
00:47We have winds coming southeast at 4 knots and humidity is at 74%.
00:53Moving on to tonight, tonight will be party cloudy, becoming cloudy, with occasional isolated showers.
01:00There's a medium chance of the isolated thunderstorm activity happening.
01:04Our minimum temperatures are 24 degrees Celsius in Trinidad and 25 in Tobago.
01:11According to the Met Office, tomorrow will be party cloudy, eventually becoming cloudy at times,
01:17with occasional showers and the medium chance of the isolated thunderstorms favoring Trinidad.
01:23Maximum temperatures are 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:29Checking in on our weekend, Saturday will follow a pattern with partly cloudy skies
01:33and it will become cloudy with light to moderate periods of rain
01:36and again the medium chance of isolated heavier showers or thunderstorms.
01:42Sunday on the other hand, we will experience very badly cloudy conditions
01:46with few light showers and low to medium chance of isolated heavier showers.
01:51Maximum temperatures are 30 degrees in Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday
01:55and on Sunday, Trinidad will be 32 degrees and Tobago 31.
02:00And if you're planning a nice beach line tomorrow, seas are slight to moderate
02:05with waves of 1 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters
02:08and less than 1 meter in sheltered areas.
