00:58Okay, now with the case of this game, let's be real here, no one expected to get this
01:12back, sure there were some telling signs over the past year or so, but man, we're going
01:19above and beyond, but underneath all the problems arising from this game, there seems to be
01:26an underlying layer of hypocrisy from all the critics as well as a light being shadow
01:35with the biggest problem playing the gaming industry to date, and no, it's not the invasion
01:42of battle royale, although that does come close like probably the second biggest problem, but
01:50that's a discussion for another time.
01:52Now, I'm not going to dwell too much into the leaks given the toxic environment as of date,
02:00and Sony Notary Dog going around leaking and striking failures and even striking memes down.
02:08Like, but I'm just going to keep to my lane and not show any footage of gameplay to risk
02:13getting caught in that crossfire, alright, but if you want you can probably just check
02:20out other channels for what the leaks are.
02:23Now, if you don't know by now, The Last of Us is basically an adventure science fiction
02:30based game that's heavy on storytelling.
02:32It starts from the main character's daughter point of view, where you start off getting the
02:40usual tutorial routine check on movement and interaction, and the story begins with the tragedy
02:46striking outside, then there's such a pin as the main character, Joel, who's gotta get
02:52the daughter and get out of here, as the insanity kicks in.
02:57Then, I'll say again, turning to the border, near the military one of the officers show up,
03:05prompting them to stay back, but he's then ordered to shoot them dead, which he does, but
03:11only the daughter is dead, the guy Joel survives, it's quite sad actually.
03:16And it's a very crucial point, because this is just the introduction to the game and the
03:24story, we're just getting started there.
03:27So, from there, there's a tantrum to the modern day, where Joel's a bit older, and now everything's
03:33in that post-apocalyptic setting, which is sort of like overdone nowadays, where everything
03:40looks sturdy and all the society is reduced to nothing, and then it all starts the story,
03:46exploration stuff, along with introducing you to the next main character, Ellie.
03:52Now, I'm not going to go into a deep dive about the story logistics about this game,
03:56or why it's considered the best game of the last generation consoles, since there's nothing
04:01more to be said about, that is widely known as the last of us for the greatest titles,
04:10but I'd like to point out this, you know, to get people up to date on what this game is,
04:18right? I'd also like to point out that, before I go any further, I don't really have any major
04:23feelings towards the game, as a fan or anything like that. Let's go based on what I'm seeing
04:28and hearing, here and there, you know, with the news and the leaks. Now, with that all the way,
04:36and we're on the same page as what this game is about, I can dive into the real meat of this
04:42country, so probably the sequel, that is, The Last of Us 2.
05:12Now, this game has been in the works for quite some time, like they were literally
05:28waiting to pass the entire generation of consoles to get the sequel, because the first one came
05:34up back in 2013, right on the last legs of the PSG era, shortly after being remastered for the PS4.
05:44Now, fast forward to 7 years later, and we're on the end of the PS4 era, with the PS5 on the horizon.
05:54Now, first, I'd like to start off by saying the gameplay looks incredible, from the trailer footage
06:01and the showcasing, this is about as close as you can get into perfection, in terms of like, the graphics, the quality, and stuff.
06:12Now, that's one thing that's undeniable at this point, but then again, you'd expect that, especially when it's from Naughty Dog,
06:20you know, more of the top-tier franchises owners, and they just came up with a huge role with Uncharted,
06:30the Uncharted franchise, which presumably ended recently. Let's just hope that stays down.
06:40But that franchise is like little perfection. You know, if you want to talk about the perfect franchise,
06:46where every entry is perfect, Uncharted is... Now, here's the thing with this game,
06:52there's an underlying hypocrisy that's shown from watching both sides, you know, the company, and then the fans going at each other.
07:04There's an underlying hypocrisy. So, let me start off. About two months ago, K.O. Tape, there were some leaks about story beats in the last one.
07:18As well as two explosions, major character beats, and even beatings in relation to where the gameplay, you know,
07:28it shows you many things, including character deaths, and some turns that would have probably been the plot twists of those major, you know, turning points that you'd expect when you were playing the game.
07:56Now, these stuff will actually leak with hours of gameplay for this to prove its legitimacy. So, it's not entirely as fake as you'd probably think.
08:15Now, usually in this case where a game gets leaked, it's an outrage of people just trying to ignore it or block it as much as it can to not get support, right?
08:24That is the common thing with spoilers, as fans want to experience a game for themselves, and more power to them, you know?
08:33It's been seven years, I think, fans of a game waiting that long for a sequel just came in to the leaks and spoilers when the game is, like, about less than a month away?
08:48Come on, come on now.
08:51Well, you're probably sort of right when you think about it.
08:56Cause, quite a bit of people actually tuned into the spoilers to find out what's all the who are, and therefore we have this huge uproar.
09:06Like I said earlier, I'm not going to go deep into these leaks cause Sony and Noido are going on an insane striking spree taking everything down.
09:18I might even be risking myself just making this video as it is.
09:23Who knows?
09:24But what I will say is that the leaks are true from examining them myself and seeing how Noido has been reacting to them as of late.
09:35And then there's a backlash, there's no possible way they wouldn't push back this hard on fake leaks and risk getting into legal battle over copyright strikes.
09:50Yes, that's how serious it is.
09:54With this striking down of content covering or pushing the leaks, there could be actual legal ramifications.
10:02Or they couldn't, who knows.
10:04You're probably wondering, where are these leaks coming from?
10:08Who posted them originally, leading up to this backlash?
10:14Well, it's actually from Naughty Dog themselves.
10:17A former, quote, disgruntled employee to be exact, over some payment disputes.
10:27That's what the original story has told us.
10:33Now at first, the director of the game, himself, Neil Druckmann, expressed sadness and distress over the leaks.
10:45That's what he did at first.
10:49Then later, he started claiming that they were fake.
10:57No.
10:58And that it wasn't true.
11:03And then he started saying, you know what?
11:09Maybe people should actually have an open mind and go into the game themselves.
11:15Without thinking that, you know?
11:19And here's the thing, Naughty Dog is now trying to save face by claiming that the leaks are from some hack around one of their own angry employees.
11:29When in fact, it's simply not the case.
11:32This is something that has been documented quite a bit over the years since we got the gameplay footage from E2 a while back.
11:42So the whole discounted employee thing that was came out earlier.
11:50It's legit actually.
11:52Yeah.
11:53They can't really deny it because from the past stuff that has been piling up on Naughty Dog.
12:02Apparently, 75% of the developers left the studio and the project during development for The Last of Us 2.
12:14And they ended up being replaced by some more Hollywood or SJW personnel due to the toxic culture in the workplace of Naughty Dog.
12:24Then there's the fact that they also had some more newbies.
12:30So there's that.
12:34So it cannot be a hacker when there's all that stuff.
12:39And this is out in the open.
12:42You know, all the top detail in how Naughty Dog was being changed during the production of Lasso 2.
12:53So, the whole hacker story claim that they've been pushing.
12:59It's just a quick response to the backlash to cover the company's reputation.
13:05From looking like, you know, bad guys who hate their employees.
13:09You know, they're trying to save things by stating the fans to not pay attention to the leaks and trusting them while they go on a massive copyright strike take long speed.
13:20And virtually everyone who talks about leaks regardless if they show them or not.
13:25Now this is where the bad on both sides come into play.
13:29On one side here you have a company going overboard in censorship to save face and protect their product investment and lie to the fanbase.
13:39Totally wrong for sure.
13:41And then in the other corner.
13:43You have this grunt of fans constantly humming about the leaks.
13:48And trying to convince all the other fans why they shouldn't buy the game.
13:53And egging them more to check out the leaks.
13:56And see for themselves that it's true.
13:58You know, a lot of rich people are usually...
14:02Now, people who are usually against leaks and spoilers for a game or movie are also pushing this as well.
14:14And I'll have to say this.
14:19You can't say you're against leaks and spoilers but decide to make this the exception to spread leaks and spoilers.
14:27To convince other people to not buy into the product just because you don't like what the leak says.
14:35You know, I mean, I know what some people are gonna say but that's a hell street.
14:41If you're a person who claims that you don't spoil, you don't support spoiling or leaking something.
14:50Then you use this as an exception because you saw what the spoilers and the leaks are saying.
14:57Then you're hypocritical.
14:59Now for me, since I'm not really that big of a fan.
15:04In this I'm having no split-general stake in this game as a fan.
15:12So it doesn't really apply to me as much.
15:15You know, how I check out the leaks.
15:18And the fact that I'm not actually going on my way to spoil the game for other people just to convince them not to buy it.
15:26Because I'm totally aware of the situation, you know, for both sides.
15:32And I understand that, you know, some people just want to experience a game for themselves.
15:38And decide for themselves.
15:40If it's a good game, if it's a bad game.
15:45Or, you know, they don't want some leaks or footage to take them off on something that they've been waiting for.
15:56For like seven years.
15:58And that's the point.
16:00And then the other people who haven't actually saw the leaks.
16:06I can understand what they're feeling.
16:09You know, the leaks are very bad.
16:12You know, they show some pretty distinct stuff.
16:17Um.
16:18The next thing to note.
16:35Is that.
16:37Sonya and Naughty Dog.
16:40This is a very bad look for them.
16:42Now while I understand.
16:44Where they're coming from.
16:46You know, having to like.
16:49Use these takedowns and these.
16:52Stuff to like.
16:53Mitigate the leaks and keep them at bay.
16:56So we don't.
16:58Spoil a game completely.
17:00You know.
17:01At the end of the day.
17:03The Last of Us 2 is like a sequel to one of the biggest games.
17:07On the last generation consoles.
17:10You know.
17:12So.
17:13With so much.
17:16Sonya and Naughty Dog have invested in this.
17:19We cannot expect them to.
17:22Not.
17:23Do what they're doing.
17:25You gotta understand it from their perspective.
17:28They are trying to.
17:29Protect the investment.
17:30Even though they might.
17:32Be in the wrong.
17:34Morally.

17:37Although that could be debatable.

22:37have a game franchise being toppled over for the sake of some sort of narrative underlying
22:46agenda stupid nonsense that just has to be pushed by the game developers for no reason
22:57at all or not just to comfort their own ego you know then you have the fans who are so
23:08eagerly dismissive to the point where they don't want anyone to enjoy the game they just
23:17wanted to just burn to the ground you know it's not a good look and i think it sets a pretty
23:27bad standard for you know game franchises and gamers for the future you know unless
23:38of this sort of things stop especially these big titles because this isn't some random
23:46gaming that's coming out this is a big tightly very important tell this is an exclusive and a
23:54top tier um release for sony and the ps station console and this is what they're doing and
24:05this is what's happening because of it you know i mean i just missed the days where we could just
24:12go back to you know just games that are coming out that were good and people just enjoy them for what
24:24they were and if they were controversial they were controversial because of the storytelling but
24:34people still enjoyed it because it was done well you know like call of duty modern warfare 2 back when
24:41call of duty was golden age or mass effect you know like during the golden days of gaming but i guess
24:57that's just a pet dream now you know anyways um post in the content section below what do you think about
