00:03Thanks, Deesha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06It's time for the 411 on your weather.
00:09Let's begin with what happened today.
00:11Isolated intense showers and isolated thunderstorms affected portions of western and northwestern Trinidad
00:18with additional widely scattered activity nearing the east coast.
00:23Now, these conditions of hot air and cool air caused the formations of a tornado today
00:28which moved through parts of Victoria Gardens and West Moorings, damaging several homes.
00:34Multiple roofs have been ripped off with galvanized sheets lofted into the air.
00:39Afterwards, the tornado moved into the Gulf of Paria, a visible funnel formed as it became a water spout.
00:46While activity has decreased significantly over the past couple of hours,
00:51widely scattered pockets of light to moderate showers still affected both islands.
00:55This activity persisted into the late afternoon with mainly settled skies returning by sunset.
01:02Flooding occurred in several areas such as the North Coast Road at Maracas Bay,
