00:00Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's get right to your weather.
00:04So here's what happened today. Heavy rainfall in Tobago caused trees to fall on two vehicles
00:10outside the Scarborough Health Center. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
00:15And here's what's happening presently. La Nina conditions are currently present
00:20and are expected to last until January 2026. After that, there is a moderate chance, about 55%,
00:27that conditions will return to normal between January to March 2026. For Trinidad and Tobago,
00:34this usually means more rain than usual. During La Nina, weather systems that bring rain
00:42tend to be stronger, leading to cloudier skies and increased rainfall across the islands.
00:48Now for something else that's happening at present, conditions in Port of Spain are currently 28 degrees,
00:54with winds coming east-southeast at 9 km per hour and humidity at 74%.
01:00Looking at tonight, conditions are expected to be generally fair, with minimum temperatures of 25 degrees
01:07in both Trinidad and Tobago. And here's what's expected tomorrow. The Met Office is forecasting
01:13a mostly fair and breezy day, despite a few brisk daytime showers and the medium chance of the heavier
01:20afternoon shower, favouring hilly areas. Winds can become gusty in and around showers and in the
01:27event of the heavy downpour, street flooding is likely, so take note of that. Tomorrow's forecast
01:32maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago. So these fair conditions will
01:40continue on into the weekend, as Saturday will be mostly fair and breezy, while Sunday will be fair,
01:46becoming partly cloudy. But what both days have in common are a few daytime showers and the low chance
01:52of an afternoon thunderstorm favouring hilly areas. Maximum temperatures are 33 degrees in Trinidad
01:58and 32 in Tobago on Saturday and 33 degrees in Trinidad and 25 degrees in Tobago on Sunday.
02:06Tomorrow is Friday and we're getting mostly fair conditions, so a beach pump sounds good to me.
02:11So let's check in on our seas. Seas are moderate with waves up to 2 meters low open waters and near
02:161 meter, occasionally choppy, in sheltered areas. And for the details on our sun times, in Trinidad,
02:23sunrise is at 5.55 and it was set at 5.44. Over in Tobago, sunrise is at 5.52 and it was set at 5.40.
02:31It's now time for your tired times.
02:49That's all for weather tonight. Stay with us for more news when we come back.
