00:00And we're going to start here with tomorrow night's game, West Virginia and BYU.
00:04What happened to West Virginia?
00:05They're 18 and a half point underdogs at BYU and a total of 47 and a half points.
00:11Joe, the spread line for West Virginia and BYU is what?
00:14Yeah, well, it's going to be increasing here, Donnie, as the Mountaineers.
00:19Remember that when they beat Pitt in that backyard brawl?
00:23Yeah, that feels like three years ago because ever since that time, Donnie,
00:28they've been outscored 89 to 24 in their other two conference games since here.
00:34Their starting quarterback didn't play last week.
00:37Doesn't look like Rich Rod is going to roll him out here this week.
00:41Looks like he wants to see what else he has in that quarterback room here,
00:45which is not a good sign as we head into week six.
00:49The Mountaineers offense, Donnie, has scored fewer than 14 points in three of their last five games
00:55because the offense, well, what's the word I'm looking for, is horrific.
01:00And BYU, on the other hand, great defensive team, figuring it out on offense.
01:06Points are going to be very hard to come by in this game, which is why we have seen, Donnie,
01:10the under seem to get a little bit of love here.
01:14We know this 18 and a half, 19 and a half.
01:17It wouldn't shock me if this makes it to 20 before kickoff tomorrow.
01:21But keep an eye on the total because the total appears to be where the money is going.
01:26And the lack of offense for West Virginia appears to be getting some under money in this one.
01:32Ooh, James Franklin backers rise to the occasion this week.
01:36Why?
01:36Penn State's playing a team they should crush.
01:38Wouldn't they typically like to try to crush those football teams?
01:41A devastating loss to Oregon at home.
01:43Now you got to fly out to the West Coast.
01:44And I remember also James Franklin crying about flying to the West Coast
01:47because the airport closest to Happy Valley and Penn State doesn't have a long enough runway.
01:52So they got to take another trip like Harrisburg to get a long enough runway.
01:55Don't make it make sense because it doesn't.
01:56But the spread line this week is Penn State opened up around a 27 and a half, 28 point favorite.
02:01It's down to 24 and a half and a total of around 49 and a half to 50 and a half,
02:05depending on where you're shopping.
02:06Penn State looking to bounce back versus UCLA.
02:09What's the spread line here, Joe?
02:11Well, the spread line is be very, very careful here.
02:15UCLA now a 24 and a half point home underdog.
02:19That is the biggest deficit as an underdog that this program has faced since a 32 point
02:25dog back in 2008 against USC.
02:28They lost that game 28 to 7, but they covered.
02:32And now you've got a Penn State team that has to be suffering a bit of that hangover
02:38after losing to Oregon last week in overtime.
02:41But here's the kicker.
02:42Penn State is a priceless stat here.
02:47Penn State is 10 and 20, 33.3% against the number, coming off a straight up loss since
02:542015, Donnie.
02:55That is absolutely unbelievable.
02:59And yet we're seeing nearly 79% of the money, 84% of the tickets all coming in on Penn State.
03:06It might very well be the biggest public play this week.
03:12Why?
03:12Well, recreational bettors love big road favorites because, well, they're the better team, right?
03:18They should win.
03:19They're going to bounce back.
03:21The problem is the point spread is the great equalizer.
03:24Tread very carefully with Penn State this week.
03:28They'll win, but UCLA's got nothing to lose.
03:32And I'm not running under the window to lay over three touchdowns with Penn State.
03:36We're so wrapped up in the NFL right now, Major League Baseball.
03:39Sometimes you forget there's going to be a full Saturday slate with a lot of good games
03:43that you can certainly pick off and have some fun with, Joe.
03:45And we bring up some of these college football teams that are fun to watch,
03:49which includes Miami and Florida State.
03:51The reason why I bring this game up is, yes, it's going to be a great rivalry game,
03:54and maybe Florida State can pull the upset,
03:56or maybe Miami can actually win an ACC championship game this year.
04:00But the one thing we can't dispute, that Florida State offense, Joe, moves the football.
04:04How about 600 yards per game?
04:08600, Joe.
04:10That's impressive.
04:11Yeah, I know, but they also haven't really played anybody since Alabama back way back in that first game,
04:18which feels like an eternity ago.
04:20But there is no doubt that Florida State offensively with Gus Malzahn as the OC here
04:27and Tommy Castellanos, they are able to run teams over with that inside zone that he loves to run,
04:35that he did at Alabama and other places there, UCF.
04:40If you can't stop the run, Gus Malzahn's offense will light you up.
04:46And that's what he has been doing to teams.
04:47I don't understand his total, Donnie.
04:50We talked about it yesterday on the spread line.
04:52How is his total dropping to 53 and a half?
04:55There is, and again, I guess because Miami's defense not giving up a whole lot of points this year,
05:01but they have not faced an offense like this yet.
05:05Plus, they're on the road.
05:06Doe Campbell is going to be hopping here.
05:08I think, listen, I don't, I trust Miami's defense to make more stops when it matters,
05:13but I think we're going to be way over 53 and a half points when this game is all said and done.
05:19Sounds like it, too, because understand this, you've got extra rest for Miami,
05:22so extra time to prepare for Florida State, get that game plan in.
05:25And also, you had a Friday night football game, which Florida State lost to Virginia.
05:28I sort of wish they won that because you would have been looking at, Joe,
05:30two top seven football teams, if you will, that would have been colliding this weekend,
05:34would have been a little bit more fun.
05:35But still, there is a rivalry.
05:37How do you feel about that minus four and a half?
05:38Because that's not really moving all that much.
05:40And by the way, most of the ticket counts that I'm seeing coming in on Florida State,
05:43but a line that opened up at three and a half, now sits four and a half for Miami.
05:47It's been all Florida State money since this thing opened up here.
05:52So, you know, the look ahead line was bigger than that, six, six and a half for Miami.
05:58So to tell you that it's down to four and a half here,
06:01it tells you exactly where it's all been going.
06:03It's all been Florida State.
06:05And I get it.
06:06At home, they got the loss out of the way.
06:08Now they can focus on Miami.
06:10They might have been looking ahead a little bit here.
06:13Yeah, it's, I think Miami makes enough plays to eventually win and cover this game.
06:18But I think the total is the value play.
06:21Have another fun game here.
06:23Indiana and Oregon.
06:24Two good offenses going to go toe to toe.
06:26This one, Joe, 52 and a half as we look at it.
06:29And Oregon as the favorite at minus 10 and a half.
06:32Actually, hold on.
06:33Am I doing the right game right now at this point?
06:34Indiana, Oregon?
06:35Is that what we got?
06:36Yeah, that is not correct.
06:39I don't believe there.
06:40But that's okay.
06:42I mean, we can.
06:42Yeah.
06:43We're previewing.
06:44Yeah, we can.
06:44No, hold on.
06:45This is two weeks in advance, Joe.
06:47I'm looking at this going, man, this missed my board right here.
06:49Indiana, Oregon.
06:50It's going to be a fun game to break down for 10, 11.
06:53A week in advance.
06:54Look, Joe, we have the people set up so well that we're going a week out in advance at this point.
06:59I love to see it.
07:00I love to see it.
07:00I was like, how did I miss this game?
07:03I'm like, my goodness, how did we miss this game?
07:05I'm like, oh, yeah, that game didn't happen yet.
07:07But we will cover that game in big, and I mean in a big way in a couple of weeks here.
07:13Love to see it here.
07:14Let's head back down to the SEC and get back into a game that will be played this weekend.
07:18That's Vanderbilt and Alabama, Joe.
07:21Two teams ranked.
07:22Well, yeah, Alabama plays ranked teams all the time.
07:24They never play Vanderbilt when they're ranked.
07:25Could it be back-to-back performances where Diego Pavia and the Commodores beat Alabama?
07:32This time they'll have to do it in Tuscaloosa.
07:33A 10.5-point favorite for Vandy.
07:35A total of 55.5.
07:37Kalen DeBoer, you lose this, you lose your job, pal.
07:41Yeah, well, we've seen Vandy taking the money here.
07:45Alabama opened up as a 12-point favorite, 12.5-point favorite in a lot of spots.
07:51And we've seen, well, we've seen nothing but Vandy money dropping this thing down.
07:55Listen, Alabama held on for dear life against Georgia in that game in the second half there.
08:01But they were able to get the win here.
08:03And Vandy and Clark Lee and Diego Pavia, listen, you know, they're playing with house money.
08:09And they're playing like it, Donnie.
08:11Like they've got nothing to lose, which makes them extremely dangerous.
08:16Chris, I still have some questions about this Bama team and the quarterback play.
08:22But I understand why the market is running towards Vanderbilt right now.
08:27But I do think the Bama money comes in late here, Donnie.
08:30Now, Joe, do you want to go back to Indiana?
08:32We're going to do a little second loop around for next week's game.
08:35We could preview this game for 10 straight days here.
08:37It's going to be so big, so much fun for the big sig out there.
08:40But we can't do that.
08:41We'll get to that game next weekend.
08:42How about this one coming up next?
08:43It's Texas and Florida.
08:45If you look at the count, you know what?
08:46If Florida's a good football team, this could be real interesting.
08:49Florida is not a good football team.
08:50However, Texas leaves a lot to be decided with Arch Manning at quarterback.
08:54And this is a big step up moment.
08:55Not because Florida doesn't have a great record.
08:57You're playing in a hostile environment against a really good defense.
09:00Looking at the sides itself, minus seven and a half on the look ahead.
09:04Texas is now under a touchdown at most outlets, Joe.
09:06That's six and a half.
09:07Look at the look ahead total.
09:0951 and a half.
09:10That's down to 41 and a half for a Steve Sarkeesian offense and a guy that we thought might be the Heisman favorite entering into the season.
09:18Texas and Florida from Gainesville.
09:21Expectations, Joe, or what?
09:24Not a lot of points.
09:26Look at that total.
09:2641 and a half here, Donnie.
09:29And this is another dead under.
09:32Texas's defense is fantastic as well.
09:35Let's not let's not act like somebody is going to come in Florida's offense and lag way who can't figure out what jersey to throw it to is going to light up this Texas defense.
09:46It's not.
09:46And this Texas offense, their inefficiency, their inability to be able to score in in in the red zone has been an issue here.
09:55And it's not like Florida's just that defense is just going to let you get inside the 10 yard line all the time and and score point.
10:03They are elite.
10:04This Florida defense here.
10:07Not to mention they've had a week off to prepare for this.
10:10I like unders everywhere in this.
10:12I like unders in the first quarter.
10:13I like unders in the first half and I like unders in a full game.
10:17This is going to be a rock fight in the swamp here and I'm all for it.
10:21Crazy like we're talking about one of the most hyped quarterback sensations we've ever seen.
10:26We're talking about games being in rock fights should be the opposite.
10:28Like, yeah, I don't care who he's playing.
10:30He's going to light that defense up.
10:31You got weapons at wide out at tailback and start calling the playbook for you.
10:35Come on, Arch.
10:36Step up in the swamp.
10:37If you got any of that metal, you want to be the number one overall pick win football games like this.
10:41I know it's a one in three football team.
10:43Step up and score 28 plus points and away you go.
10:46Let me ask you a question about this one.
10:47Joe four o'clock on Saturday.
10:48I don't know if you'd be watching Oklahoma versus Kent state.
10:51I love this game.
10:52It's minus 45 and a half as a total.
10:54Could we see 45 to nothing at the half where they cover that spread or maybe lose by the hook?
10:59And I mean, come on, 45 and a half points in a college football game.
11:05Well, it's even funnier that Kent state's team total is two and a half.
11:09And so, yeah, that's that's the funny part.
11:13But again, you got to keep in mind, it's a backup quarterback for Oklahoma.
11:17And even with a backup quarterback for OU right now, it's the defense that is going to limit what Kent state can do.
11:26But Kent state has scored at least 10 points against power for teams here this season.
11:31So to me, this game is going to be all about the backdoor cover with the team total two and a half, three, three and a half.
11:39They're going to get a touchdown in this game.
11:42They're going to get an empty netter in the fourth quarter in this game when the third and fourth stringers are playing for OU.
11:47But I don't believe that OU is going to drop 60 points here.
11:52I do think that they'll control this game, of course, try to get out of there without any injuries.
11:57But I do believe that Kent state's going to be able to punch it into the end.
12:01So that that team total is hilarious.
12:04Over three and a half at plus 132.
12:07It's almost like they're baiting because the chances that you go, oh, yeah, they'll get two.
12:10No, they're not going to kick two.
12:11Trust me, that would be interesting if this game was, I don't know, 61 to three with 30 seconds left to go.
12:17And Kent state lines up for a 51 yarder to try to get to that six points here.
12:22Then you might have an investigation to see who's actually on what in that game.
12:25But those are interesting to watch where very rare you see a team to team, not first quarter, not a team total for the game at three and a half.
12:34That's absolutely incredible here.
