00:00.
00:01Growing up in Cincinnati was very special.
00:15It was also a city that was very dark in a lot of ways.
00:21Mineral Virginia is definitely a haunted town.
00:24When I opened my eyes, I immediately saw a figure.
00:27It was shaped like a human.
00:29He was looking right at me.
00:31My heart stopped.
00:33He charged at us.
00:45These places are dead.
00:48They are dead.
00:49They are dead.
00:50They are dead.
00:51They are dead.
00:53They are dead.
00:54They are dead.
00:56In the realm of the paranormal, powerful spiritual forces join with the natural elements of
01:02our earth, tearing open pathways for spirits to haunt the living.
01:11Think of a paranormal conduit as a direct pipeline through which communication can happen.
01:16So, waters, stones, metals, certain types of naturally occurring environmental factors
01:21can make communication easier.
01:24But also, you know, you are going to get a much higher concentration of paranormal activity.
01:31No corner of the world escapes this energy.
01:34Yet, some places bear it more deeply.
01:36Such as Fort Wayne, Indiana.
01:39Tucked between Lake Erie and Lake Michigan.
01:41A place where the dead never truly rest.
01:46Growing up here in Fort Wayne, we have the Great Lakes.
01:49Lots of water, fun, skiing, swimming.
01:53So, that's a perfect place if you are a lover of sand and water.
02:02It's a great family town.
02:03I grew up here.
02:04Most families do.
02:05A lot of people wanted to move away in the past, but they eventually come back.
02:10Fort Wayne is so great.
02:11There are so many good restaurants, really great people.
02:14Just a really welcoming community.
02:17But life in Fort Wayne hasn't always been so idyllic.
02:22The Great Depression and an era of organized crime was a chapter in history that provides
02:27the backdrop to one of the most haunted towns in America.
02:31Homer Van Meter was most likely the most notorious criminal that Fort Wayne ever produced.
02:37Robs a train when he's 19.
02:39Ends up in the Indiana State Prison where he meets John Dillinger.
02:43They're both let out.
02:45They rob a place.
02:47Two federal agents died.
02:49Van Meter goes on the lam.
02:51Ends up shot.
02:53Bodies brought back to Fort Wayne for burial.
02:56Over 10,000 people flocked to Van Meter's funeral held at the Bell Mansion.
03:01An architectural gem in the heart of the city.
03:04Originally built in 1893 as a private residence, the mansion became a funeral home in 1926.
03:12Bell Mansion was a funeral home for 92 years and had 17,000 funerals here.
03:18And we have ghosts.
03:20We have paranormal activity here.
03:22It happens a lot.
03:24It's an old mansion, right?
03:29And it's beautiful, beautiful woodwork, beautiful stained glass windows.
03:33But you walk in and just feel like someone is watching you.
03:37One night I was at the Bell Mansion with a few of my friends.
03:42Then something whispered directly into my ear.
03:45It was an eight-year-old boy's voice and it said, talk to me.
03:48It's still quite a mystery and it still gives me goosebumps to this day.
04:03The Bell Mansion was fully restored in 2019, returning it to its original grandeur.
04:08It now serves as an event center and historical site.
04:13Right this way.
04:15I'm going to take you the way the maids would go.
04:20Mabel Vanderbilt, its tour guide for the past five years, leads visitors through the mansion's halls.
04:27When you walk in here, you get a sense of royalty.
04:32Her halls are so beautiful with authentic woods.
04:37The limestone that the entire building's encased in, it feels like I'm walking into history, into the past.
04:46The current owners kept all the objects from the funeral home.
04:51We have the actual embalming tables that were on site.
04:55We have the machine that would open the top of the skull.
04:59This is the toe-tag room.
05:0517,000 funerals were held right here where we're standing.
05:09This one here, Lucy Ford, she died at 54.
05:13Unknown reasons for death and unknown reasons for the place of death.
05:17With the amount of bodies that have been processed here, the residual energy is palpable.
05:24So many different layers are happening at the same time.
05:29We have security cameras going on in every room and we've caught some excellent footage.
05:38One time there was a group of people here.
05:40There's about 300 people for an event in the ballroom.
05:43There was a table topper on a vintage table.
05:47We had a cocktail table set up here with some of our flyers and the event information and candles.
05:53And all of a sudden you see this like shimmery ethereal hand come out and just knock all of the flyers off the table.
06:02Having that on camera is very intense.
06:08It does reinforce that there is something here.
06:11And when you walk through the halls, you can feel it, you can smell it, you can hear it.
06:18Limestone is a very powerful spiritual conduit.
06:24It's porous and also in the paranormal world, there's the belief in which it can record memory or energy.
06:31And so given the fact that the Bell Mansion is made entirely out of limestone and given its very rich history,
06:40serving as a funeral home can make for a very hotbed for spiritual activity.
06:47The limestone walls are alive with the energy of spirits.
06:51Their presence always close, waiting for Mabel.
07:01I was coming in to work.
07:06I could hear music playing.
07:09It sounded like a radio was on.
07:11And as I got closer to this room, it got louder and louder.
07:14And sitting right there was the record player.
07:24You could hear piano playing as if it was right there.
07:28But there's no one there.
07:30There's no one there.
07:43It was unplugged.
07:44So there's no explanation for that record player to be able to go off.
07:49Absolutely none.
07:50I ran out of here.
07:55I ran out.
07:59If something like this can happen in broad daylight, just like that, what's going to happen next?
08:05When the sun goes down, this building takes on a whole new demeanor.
08:15It's terrifying being here at night.
08:23And one night, Mabel is at the mansion alone when an eerie feeling comes over her.
08:28I was in that ballroom, ironing some tablecloths for the next day's events.
08:34I was in there around 2 a.m.
08:37I had an overwhelming sense of being watched.
08:53And those doors just slammed open.
08:55Bang!
08:59I expected somebody to walk through it.
09:01But instead I saw a spirit of a man and I saw a black mist.
09:05It looked like a black cloud.
09:11It scared me so bad.
09:13I get panic feeling.
09:16And the door slammed shut again.
09:18I called my husband.
09:26Ben.
09:27Ben, there's somebody in the building.
09:36My husband was on speakerphone with me.
09:38And he walked me through the garage and I left.
09:41And I left.
09:51And I knew that I had a very big problem here.
09:55I was really in trouble.
09:58I've seen this before.
10:03And quite typically it is when you have an energy that is visible but only for a very short period of time.
10:11So it's like they apparate.
10:14We see sort of that cloudy kind of amorphous blob.
10:17And then they go away.
10:19So it does seem to be a phenomenon that goes hand in hand with a visual manifestation.
10:24Because the limestone is acting as a conduit.
10:27Many spirits remain bound to the mansion.
10:32One, however, shadows Mabel.
10:35Its malice is palpable as it stalks the Bell Mansion's halls.
10:45We're gonna head up to the top floor.
10:47I need you to please hold on to handles and rails.
10:50We're gonna step right into here.
10:52I was in here and I sat on the bed right here.
10:58And I had two girls with me on a tour.
11:03This lift is an original to the building.
11:06That's where they would put the coffins from the second floor to go down to the first floor.
11:22And I hear some jangling going on, like the lift is coming up.
11:31I know we're the only three in the entire building.
11:34And you have to physically push a button for the lift behind me to come up.
11:39So there's no way somebody's pushing those buttons.
11:41And this thing stepped out of the elevator.
11:54It was a tall skinny man.
11:56He was angry and hateful.
11:58He charged at us.
12:05It was terror like I've never felt, ever.
12:16We ran.
12:17This was the first time I met the Mason.
12:23Some locals say the Mason was among those who originally built the Limestone Mansion.
12:30And to this day, his spirit is held within the walls that he helped build.
12:35The Mason is a man that is stuck on this property.
12:38I don't know where he came from.
12:40When he's around, I can't think.
12:42He makes me physically vomit.
12:44I'm physically shaking right now.
12:46I'm just discussing the Mason.
12:48It's physical.
12:55Whatever this energy is saddled with as far as prehistory, you know, they're choosing to appear to Mabel in a specific way.
13:03In this instance, they want to appear menacing.
13:05You know, I think 100% because of the nature of the building.
13:09It's a funeral home.
13:11This is likely someone who met an untimely, a tragic end.
13:16Their body was processed there, and they may not even know that they've passed away.
13:22He's the one entity that I will not mess with, I will not talk to, I will not interact with.
13:28I try to keep him away from me at all times.
13:31Mabel tries to keep the Mason at bay, but he relentlessly feeds off her fear.
13:37And one night, in the basement, he corners her again.
13:39I was coming down here to put laundry into the washer.
13:45And I came through this area, and I felt some energy.
13:58As I was walking, I could hear my ears started to ring.
14:03I had a phantom arm or hand grab me, and it slammed me against this door.
14:13I just started running.
14:15It hit me so hard that I had black and blue bruises on the shoulder.
14:19How do you feel right now?
14:20I have a lot of fear.
14:21I have a lot of fear.
14:22I have a lot of fear, anxiety.
14:23My heart rate's up triple now.
14:24The Mason's standing right there, and he hates me.
14:25The Mason's standing right there, and he hates me.
14:26I have a lot of fear.
14:27I have a lot of fear.
14:28I have a lot of fear, anxiety.
14:29My heart rate's up triple now.
14:32The Mason's standing right there.
14:33And he hates me.
14:34Can we be home?
14:35Yeah, it was a lot of fear.
14:36It's not the truth, it is.
14:37It hit me so hard that I had black and blue bruises on the shoulder.
14:42How do you feel right now?
14:47I have a lot of fear.
14:48I have a lot of fear, anxiety.
14:51My heart rate's up triple now.
14:56The Mason's standing right there, and he hates me.
15:01We just be very cautious any skin exposed. He likes to touch
15:08No, I'm not to speak to him
15:11If you speak to an entity a lot of times they think that you're accepting them into their your life
15:16And if you talk to them, they'll attach to you. I will never address him
15:21ever
15:29Why don't we go upstairs?
15:31It's feeling a little violent down here
15:34And now we're back in the garage
15:38Feels much better in here than in there
15:42The limestone of the Bell Mansion's exterior is a powerful spiritual conduit and it's this force that keeps Mabel working here despite her fear
15:53The reason that I'm drawn to the Bell Mansion is because it's like a battery to me
15:58It plugs me in and I cannot get enough. I want to know I want to know why you're here
16:05When you see apparitions a full-bodied apparition
16:10I want to know why you stay here
16:14I want to know why you're roaming around
16:16Why haven't you crossed over?
16:18Why haven't you crossed over?
16:20Why I can't get enough that's why I keep coming back to the beautiful Bell
16:28As Mabel continues to search for answers within the spiritual conduit that is the Bell Mansion
16:37Three hours south where rivers converge sits Cincinnati
16:41Its waters flowing with spectral energy
16:43Cincinnati is located at the confluence of many rivers and so it becomes a very powerful conduit
16:52It can be things like rivers water. So this is naturally going to create a hotbed for spiritual activity
16:58These rivers cradle the city of vibrant spirit its modest size nurtures community where connections run deep
17:09Growing up in Cincinnati was very special all of my friends and family are here. I am still best friends with my friend from first grade
17:16We we speak every day
17:19I just love the community that I've built and and has stayed with me my entire life
17:23My favorite view of the city is when I come home from a trip and I'm coming down the cut in the hill and
17:32You get that first view of Cincinnati
17:36We've got some great architecture here in Cincinnati all just very beautiful buildings
17:44The thing I love about Cincinnati is the history of it
17:47It's a city that you can really feel all those past generations that have lived here all of the history and events that have occurred
17:59The late 19th century since then it was called the Paris of America
18:03It was called that because it was fun. It was progressive
18:08But it was also a city that was very dark in a lot of ways
18:13We had cholera epidemics and we had multiple riots and a lot of violence
18:22But the most violent thing that happened in Cincinnati's history is the courthouse riot of 1884
18:30And that was the single largest massacre of unarmed civilians by National Guard troops in American history
18:37The amount of death and bloodshed and suffering that you find on the streets of downtown Cincinnati in our past
18:48Really lends itself to being a place where you're gonna find a lot of restless spirits
18:54And when you talk to the locals, it's chillingly clear that their hometown is haunted
18:59One time I was home alone and next thing I know down the staircase I hear somebody like running really heavy like stomping
19:07And I turn around and there's nobody at all there and it really freaked me out
19:12So something's out there
19:14I knew somebody worked at a hospital and at nighttime
19:17They'd hear patients who weren't even there anymore's names, voices
19:20And then they couldn't explain why the next day just crazy this town's definitely haunted
19:26Among us most haunted locales stands Arnold's bar co-owned by Bethany Gravina
19:32It's a place where spirits are drawn to as if by an unseen force
19:37Stepping into Arnold's feels like you're stepping into a time capsule
19:42It's very authentic and true to itself
19:44Everything on our wall is meant to be here and it kind of tells the story of our entire history
19:51Arnold's was built in 1838 it was originally a brothel
19:56Then beyond that it became a bar in 1860
20:00And it became most famous as Simon Arnold's bar when he bought the building in 1878
20:08It's called Cincinnati's oldest continuously operating bar
20:11Because people believe that it continued to operate at least on some level as a bar straight through prohibition
20:18Having served patrons for nearly 200 years
20:24Arnold's bar is steeped in both history and hauntings
20:28I never quite feel like I'm alone here at Arnold's
20:33Even when I'm the only one physically in the building
20:36And from very early on I just knew there was something different and that there were spirits here
20:46One night I was closing the building by myself
20:49And out of nowhere I heard footsteps up above
21:01I was very fast footsteps like kids running across the floor
21:04I start sweating and my heart just starts beating out of my chest
21:16And I didn't want to but I knew I needed to go upstairs and make sure that the restaurant was empty before I close for the night
21:26I'm looking around and I don't see anyone
21:47Ultimately I just let it go
21:58And I just chalked it up to it being the spirits here at Arnold's
22:06Arnold's
22:09Arnold's was a bar and it also was a brothel so it's not very child friendly but the original Arnold family did actually live there so this actually could be children that potentially lived there in the past
22:20The spirits that haunt Arnold's aren't just drawn to Bethany
22:25Pam, the longest serving bartender, has faced their chilling presence since day one
22:30On my first solo shift behind the bar
22:37My co-worker, Catfish, he told me that the ghosts were going to mess with me
22:45So I just didn't really believe him at all
22:48And probably about a half hour in, I broke a wine glass and I just looked down and I was like, oh that's really stupid
23:02And then out of the corner of my eye, the glass just came off, flew here, and it hung here for just a second
23:17And then it went shooop
23:21And it wasn't like spread out all over the place, it was just the neatest little pile
23:26And I'm like, damn it, he was right
23:30When I am in Arnold's, you know, and I've spent a lot of time in Arnold's, there is a feeling there that I have experienced
23:47You just feel that there are other people around you
23:50A lot of people get patted on the back, they'll just feel like a pat on the back and they'll turn around and nobody's there
24:02I often believe that spirits are really drawn to places in which they can gain energy
24:10So I'm led to believe that these spirits are actually trying to be by Arnold's because of the positioning of it being nearby to these rivers
24:17These deep rivers serve as conduits, lending power to the spirits of Arnold's bar
24:30I'm up in the office one day doing my morning paperwork
24:35It was early, about 8am
24:37And out of the corner of my eye, I catch a woman kind of float by my office door
24:44Blue dress and she has very long dark hair
24:48My heart starts racing, my senses were on high alert
24:55Hello?
24:58So I looked out the door and called out
25:01Hello?
25:02No one answered and I didn't see anyone there
25:17Later that evening during a very busy dinner rush
25:20We had a customer who was standing here waiting in line for the restroom
25:23And she said she saw a woman go in and asked if I could check on her because it had been quite a while
25:30If I knock on the door
25:36No one answers
25:39No one answers
25:49No one's in there
25:54The customer swore she saw someone go in
25:57She told me that she was in a blue dress, tall, thin and had long dark hair
26:02In that moment, I realized that what I saw up in my office was actually a ghost and it wasn't something that I just imagined
26:13That's powerful
26:15They're seeing the same energy, the same presence, the same ghost
26:19Now being corroborated by two different people
26:22That's not very common
26:23That incident made me reach out to a friend who is a psychic and kind of find out why we would be haunted here
26:36One theory suggests that two underground rivers flow directly beneath Arnold's acting as a powerful conduit that amplifies spiritual activity
26:45Just imagine the sheer number of people that have moved through Arnold's bar and left their own energy impression there
26:53These are spaces that are active
26:55But then couple that with this amazing conduit that is that running water source that not only is sort of encasing it
27:02But running physically underneath the space itself
27:05You are primed to have communication and interaction with spirit
27:09My whole life I have believed in spirits
27:14And being here at Arnold's and actually getting to experience it first hand has made me even more of a believer
27:25But belief offers little solace when spirits linger in the shadows
27:30Poised to instill terror at any moment
27:33It was late one night all the customers were gone
27:38I was closing up for the evening
27:41And I'm doing one last sweep by myself to make sure that I had turned off all the lights
27:47I walk around the corner
27:56And I stopped dead in my tracks
28:00I see a man leaning up against the wall
28:08He was looking right at me
28:10I was completely terrified in that moment
28:17My heart stopped
28:19I don't know the identity of this man
28:22He just felt a little sinister
28:23I have a duty to look after this building and to protect it
28:28So I mustered up the courage and I turned around and I walked back into the room to see if he was still there
28:37I checked everywhere on the second floor and he was gone
28:41Perched amidst the epicenter of flowing waters, Arnold's is a place where spiritual entities are here to stay
28:51It seems to be a place that is not only haunted but it is haunted with multiple spirits from multiple periods of time
29:05The hauntings here at Arnold's are still continuing
29:14We have a tradition here at Arnold's when we're closing up for the night
29:18We leave the ghost a shot of whiskey
29:20I leave a shot of whiskey at the end of the bar
29:25And then I leave
29:28And I leave it just to keep the peace with the spirits here
29:35Sometimes it's gone, sometimes it's not
29:37I guess it just depends on how much fun they wanted to have that night
29:40Arnold's is such a special place in welcoming of everyone that when all of these spirits pass on this is where they want to stay
29:52We very much feel like a big family here and we're welcoming of everyone
29:57While the spirits of Arnold's bar draw energy from the underground rivers
30:02Directly east over two state lines rests Mineral, Virginia
30:08Where an old mining outpost forms a spiritual conduit within the small village of 600 people
30:17When I was growing up and I would drive through the town of Mineral sometimes
30:22I just thought it was a cute little historical town, it's just a really small town
30:27It's a small community that kind of for a long time I think was
30:32Forgotten about
30:34Mineral was once a bustling economic center
30:38Home to 15 mines rich with gold, copper, iron and other minerals
30:44It really peaked between the 1880s and 1920s
30:50After that, the county as a whole saw a lot of economic depression
30:55Once the mines start closing, people start leaving because there's no work
31:02The mining industry may have left Mineral
31:05But the spirits of those who worked the land have remained
31:10Mineral, Virginia is definitely a haunted town
31:13And you know the pain and the frustration and the excitement of mining
31:19Probably has left a lot of residual energy
31:22Mines quite often are tragic locations
31:26There are disasters that happen, there are people that die
31:29Even if it's not highly publicized, it's dangerous work
31:32And if they died, they may have been stuck in that emotional space
31:36So a mine is a hotbed for activity
31:40Despite its dark past, at the turn of the 21st century
31:44New residents arrived, determined to breathe new life into this ghost town
31:50We've seen an influx of residents both old who have had their families here for a long time
31:57Or new who are coming and they are really passionate about kind of reviving the center of town
32:04Sheena Wong is one of those passionate residents
32:08In 2016, she bought the Dunlora Inn
32:11A 100-year-old building perched atop an abandoned mine
32:15I've been fascinated with old houses my whole life
32:20Like, obsessed
32:22We got here and it was really creepy
32:26The house was in really bad shape
32:28But I kind of saw through it
32:32I knew that at one point it had been a beautiful place
32:38Built by George and Selina Ergenbright
32:41The Dunlora Inn once served as a local boarding house
32:44From 1923 to 1948
32:47Before falling into ruin
32:49This is the foyer
32:53So the original architect was known for these grand staircases
32:59These are the built-in cabinets the architect did
33:03His name was Isaac Skinner, he was from Richmond
33:06He also was known for these palladium windows
33:08Of course, when we got the house, it didn't look like this
33:11So I did the wallpaper
33:13I actually hold teas in here
33:15I do a lot of teas
33:16As you can see, there's a lot of teapots
33:17Now, to me, this is the creepy part of the house
33:23I used to call this the creepy hallway
33:27This is the room that I was in when we first looked at the house
33:31And I felt someone put
33:36That bed was completely made
33:38There was nothing on there
33:40Do you see that?
33:42It's almost like it was pulled up
33:44I don't like any creases or anything in them
33:49That was just weird
33:51Show me what happened
33:53So we were here with the realtor the first time we came in
33:55And we were just standing here talking
33:57Of course, there was no furniture in here
33:59And I was standing right here
34:01Our realtor was here, my husband was here
34:03And we were talking, we were getting ready to leave
34:05And I felt a man put his hand on my shoulder
34:07And he just said, do this
34:13Well, actually it scared me
34:14But I do have my old house now
34:22Sheena fully restores the inn
34:25Turning it into a charming bed and breakfast
34:27With a beauty salon operated by her daughter, Lacey
34:30Yet shortly after moving in
34:32Sheena's intuition tells her that her family
34:34Isn't alone within the inn's walls
34:41I knew right away that the inn was haunted
34:43I mean, I've heard footsteps
34:59I've actually had doors slamming
35:01I've had doors slamming my face
35:02The mines that exist under the Dolora Inn
35:07Already had a disruption of natural minerals
35:12Now the minerals themselves serve potentially as a spiritual conduit
35:18But also having the disruption of them might actually create this intersection
35:23Where spiritual activity is heightened
35:26With the powerful conduit of the mine causing chaos at the inn
35:30Sheena struggles to protect her guests from the spiritual energy
35:35Sheena struggles to protect her guests from the spiritual energy
35:39So one morning I was making breakfast
35:41And there was just one couple here that had stayed the night
35:45I asked how they slept
35:48They said fine, but the woman said that she had something happen
35:52They were actually in this room
35:53She told me that during the night she was sleeping
35:55They were actually in this room
35:57She told me that during the night she was sleeping
36:00She told me that during the night she was sleeping
36:12And she felt something on her face
36:14And then her husband said, well, let me tell you what happened to me
36:25I went to the bathroom during the night
36:28And when I came out
36:29And when I came out
36:32I saw a little girl rubbing your face
36:36So the little girl would have been right here rubbing his wife's face
36:41And then when the little girl saw him
36:46She disappeared into the floor
36:48They were freaked out about the ghost and it being haunted
36:59They actually did pack up and leave
37:04Honestly, we've had several guests that have come here
37:07That have experienced seeing things or feeling things or hearing things in their room
37:11The inn is very active
37:14I've had quite a few experiences
37:19You can definitely feel like something is here
37:24And for Lacey, that unseen energy shatters any illusion of safety
37:33I was walking through this room
37:38And as I was walking through
37:40I heard what sounded like a male voice
37:45It sounded very aggressive, some type of chant
38:00And nobody was beside me
38:04And it was like so close in my ear
38:11That was terrifying
38:15Dad!
38:19My first reaction was just to call my dad
38:22He was here but on the other side of the house
38:25I was in the kitchen and she starts calling for her dad
38:27And she was obviously upset
38:29I don't want her to be scared by anything here
38:31I don't know if it was trying to frighten her or it just was like, hey, I'm here
38:34I've had experiences too
38:36When we first got the house and we were trying to renovate
38:38We would just get so busy
38:40So sometimes I think they were just saying, hey, you know, pay attention, we're here
38:42The spirits of the Dunlora Inn demand attention
38:58And they reveal themselves to anyone visiting
38:59and they reveal themselves to anyone visiting we had some friends over one evening and there was
39:09only one child here was one of my friends had brought her son and I'm kind of OCD about the
39:15house in the room since it is a bed and breakfast so I don't like leaving things and laying around
39:19and the little boy he comes over to me and he has both of his hands full of pennies and some of them
39:26are falling in the floor and I said where did you get those pennies and he said the little boy
39:32gave them to me and I said show me he gets to here and he says he was up there who was up there a little
39:44boy he says he crawled up the wall like a lizard and then he goes in here into this room and he
39:59sits on the stool and he pats the stool and he says he was sitting right here and he said come play
40:07there was no other little boy here
40:14the symbolic nature of a coin being given sort of an olive branch a gift just a token I think is
40:23really enduring it's a really sort of heartwarming exchange that happened there but also these pennies
40:29are made of copper which is a metal that is a conduit for spiritual communication it can be used as a
40:34protective element but it's also a draw in some cases for spirit I started kind of researching to
40:41find out if there was ever an orphanage close by here and I did hear from one of the older residents
40:46here in town that there was a family on Kenan Road that actually had taken in orphan kids kids that
40:51didn't have parents I believe that the kids would cut across the backfield at the time and come to the
40:57back door because this was a boarding house there was biscuits and pies they would leave them
41:04at the back door for the children the leftover breakfast items amplified by the spiritual
41:11conduit created by the abandoned mine under the inn the child entities haunt its halls their every
41:17movement leaving a chilling trail behind them
41:19I was here one night and I was sleeping on the side of the bed and something woke me up
41:32when I opened my eyes I immediately saw a figure it was shaped like a human it was small so I just shut
41:54my eyes because I was terrified
42:13and I felt freezing cold air around my head and my shoulders and then it stopped I have no idea what that
42:23was to me I was feeling it was a child I didn't like the feeling of something watching me while I'm sleeping I didn't understand why it was there what it wanted it just terrified me
42:42we actually thought about selling it at one point and I had so many of my friends come to me and they were like
43:00sheena if you sell the inn you are going to be so sorry later this is your heart and I couldn't do it after that it's just a part of my life and it's who I am and my whole heart is in this house
43:17sometimes it makes me feel nervous but for the most part I absolutely love this inn
