00:00Hopefully, there are three people...
00:03Murder?
00:05That said murder.
00:06Did say murder.
00:07...who can help.
00:08I've lost her energy.
00:09Go on.
00:10I've lost her.
00:11What? What? What was that?
00:13No, don't.
00:14Oh!
00:15What's the matter?
00:16In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
00:18Amen.
00:19You can move on.
00:31How are you feeling about this one?
00:33I'm feeling quite chesty now, like there's fluid on my lungs.
00:36So I take it that that is you picking up on maybe an affliction,
00:40some condition that Spirit's had?
00:42Yeah, like a pneumonia, bronicle, something along those lines.
00:51In this investigation, a celebrity whose business is terrorised.
00:56There is absolutely no way in the world
00:58that I'm going to let a ghost or an entity make me leave this pub.
01:03A pub with a tricky customer.
01:05So within a year, she'd lost two children.
01:08Oh, I didn't know what the hell happened there.
01:11The team experienced some chilling evidence.
01:14Where the **** did that come from?
01:16This was thrown at me.
01:18Thrown?
01:19And deal with a malevolent spirit.
01:21What? What? What was that?
01:24No, don't.
01:25This place is so active.
01:27Oh!
01:39I don't feel nervous about this one, or I don't know if that's wrong,
01:42if, you know, it's a false sense of security or what's happening.
01:45Although Barry and Jane have seen the case notes,
01:48medium Ian insists he is told nothing,
01:50so he knows he's receiving a genuine spirit message.
01:53My mind's going crazy.
01:55It's like, you know when you play, like, an old cinema reel?
01:59Yeah.
02:00My head's kind of just showing me images after images after images.
02:03I just have this impression that this place was visited a lot by a lot of people.
02:08The team have been called to the edge of the South Downs in West Sussex to investigate reports of paranormal activity in this 15th century pub.
02:18I have definitely personally felt that there is something that is trying to let us know that it's not happy here.
02:36The pub is owned by supermodel racing driver and television personality Jodie Kiss.
02:43I would definitely say that I'm a believer in the paranormal,
02:53and there's something here that makes my team members very uncomfortable.
03:01I don't know what it is, and that's why I'm calling upon the experts.
03:06There's been a box of tools that has been thrown at one of my members of staff.
03:14There's been chairs sliding across floors.
03:19Light surges.
03:21Lots of flickering.
03:23Wine bottles thrown in the cellar.
03:31It's here. It's always here.
03:32I am absolutely willing to do anything to get rid of this entity.
03:40If it's that angry, if it's got that much power, it's terrifying.
03:46There is absolutely no way in the world that I'm going to let a ghost or an entity make me leave this pub.
03:54So I think this needs to come to an end now.
04:03Do you know, there was this really weird thing that just happened to me.
04:07I lost my vision.
04:09Now, I don't know whether somebody here is going to be blind,
04:11so that's why I can't see,
04:14or there's somebody there who doesn't want me to see them.
04:17Yeah, I have got this element of excitement.
04:19I feel, like, a bit buzzy.
04:21Yeah.
04:22Well, do you know, I do sense children here, and they do feel quite happy.
04:25So it could be that.
04:32How beautiful is that?
04:37Whilst Barry and Jane head off to get background on the case...
04:40I'll see you later, guys.
04:41All right.
04:42I'll let you know.
04:43Yeah.
04:44Ian goes inside to investigate for any spiritual energy lurking in the walls.
04:59Hello?
05:01Hello?
05:05Wow.
05:06This feels creepy.
05:09The low ceilings, the beams.
05:17There's certainly poltergeist activity in this area,
05:20and I think the activity has been drawn to by the amount of bottles and glasses
05:25and things like that,
05:26so I do feel whatever's here would have played with that.
05:29You can feel the energy changing,
05:40and I thought I could hear
05:43what sounded like a children's voice or a child's voice.
05:46I've come just over the road to meet historian and friend Penny Griffiths-Morgan,
06:05to learn what mysteries this small village holds.
06:08Right, lovely to see you.
06:10Obviously, we're right opposite our pub, but why did you want to meet at the church?
06:14As you know, Jane, when I start researching,
06:16I never know which route it's going to take me.
06:19One of the stories to do with the beautiful church we're standing outside
06:23is that it was used as a plague burial ground in the 16th and 17th century.
06:30In the 1950s, they were running out of burial space for the villagers,
06:35and the then vicar noticed this area that was completely clear,
06:40and he managed to get the parish council to vote in favour of digging it up.
06:46And the grave digger was so angry,
06:48he is said to have stormed from the meeting straight to the half moon,
06:53shouting how unhappy he was that they were going to have to move,
06:56and he was not going to be doing it.
06:57Well, that's really unusual.
06:58So here in this beautiful churchyard, we have a plague pit,
07:02which was disturbed in the 50s,
07:04and other people are now buried within as well.
07:07Yep.
07:08Well, that could lead to loads of restless spirits, couldn't it?
07:11I'm starting to itch the longer I stay out here,
07:18so it wouldn't surprise me if something quite horrible went on.
07:24I decide to sit down with Jodie's mum, Wendy,
07:34as not only has she lived in and helped renovate the pub,
07:37I'm hoping she can explain what we might be dealing with.
07:40Wendy, thank you for taking time out to talk to me.
07:43Pleasure.
07:44What was Jodie like growing up,
07:46and what type of things did she experience?
07:48She's always been very sensitive about things.
07:50So she's quite open and sensitive to spirit?
07:52Yes, absolutely.
07:54Jodie was very energetic and she was very curious.
08:00Well, she had one experience at school
08:02where she saw an old-fashioned lady in a long frock,
08:07which sort of aroused her curiosity.
08:10It didn't frighten her.
08:11She's never been frightened of the unknown particularly.
08:15Tell me about the pub itself.
08:17When you first arrived there and started renovations,
08:21did you experience anything?
08:23I felt very comfortable and happy upstairs.
08:27But I did always feel there was somebody there.
08:31And I always felt I had a companion or something was there,
08:37which was very nice when I was upstairs.
08:40But downstairs I didn't get that.
08:42So you feel that there are two different energies in the building?
08:46Yes.
08:47Something benign and something there a little bit more malevolent perhaps?
08:50Well, I don't know if it's malevolent,
08:52but there's something unhappy there.
08:54Where did that noise come from?
09:01Oh, I feel quite uncomfortable with that area there.
09:09I've just seen this man.
09:11He definitely walked through here and went into that direction.
09:15Hello?
09:16The man who's in here.
09:28Who are you?
09:30So I am seeing this man with blood on his hands.
09:35I just feel there's something quite negative about him, you know?
09:40I feel these hands have done something wrong.
09:44I feel it happened here.
09:46But there's definitely something not feeling right about this place here.
09:51There was footsteps upstairs.
09:54Small footsteps.
09:55I do feel there's children here as well.
10:09This is so spooky, this little area here.
10:15Oh, my God.
10:17I'm always quite nervous when I see small staircases like this.
10:30I can hear crying.
10:34There's a little girl connected here.
10:39And she's looking for a mom.
10:42I'm with historian Penny Griffiths Morgan,
10:52who's told me about the old village plague pit,
10:54but I have a feeling she has more gruesome stories to tell me.
10:58It's the story of Eliza Wilmer.
11:00Eliza was born in Curdford.
11:02She'd lived here all her life,
11:03but the first story I found of her was in January 1892,
11:08and it's to do with a death inquiry.
11:11She had complained of pains in her side for quite some time
11:16and had gone to bed on the Sunday at about 8 o'clock,
11:21and on Monday morning she was dead.
11:24She died in her sleep.
11:25The verdict was that she had an enlarged liver
11:28and an inflammation of the lining of her heart,
11:32and the coroner said death was due to want and exposure.
11:36What's that? Alcoholism.
11:38Oh.
11:39But what was really, really sad was the level of poverty
11:43that they lived in.
11:45I mean, obviously their living conditions
11:47could potentially lead you to a troubled life,
11:51troubled mind, alcoholism,
11:53but do we know anything else about her past,
11:55her story that may have led her to that?
11:57Yes, I stumbled across this article.
12:00It says a child burnt to death.
12:02Oh!
12:03Now, this story is really sad.
12:06She had two little boys.
12:08John was about four,
12:10and George was just under two years old,
12:13and she had gone to collect some firewood,
12:16leaving George and John together.
12:18They then discovered that the toddler was burned
12:24all up and down his back,
12:26and he died subsequently.
12:29What they believed is that his brother, John,
12:32had been getting him to play with matches.
12:35Oh, God.
12:36And the other kicker for this, which is horrible,
12:40is that Eliza was heavily pregnant.
12:43She had another child,
12:45but I found out he died about a year after he was born.
12:48So within a year, she'd lost two children.
12:51Oh, my goodness.
12:53How tragic.
12:55So we think that because of losing two children
12:57within the space of 12 months, she took to alcohol.
13:00Yep, which would be understandable.
13:02This is a small village, Penny.
13:04If Eliza lived here, and if she was quite partial to a tipple,
13:09she may well have drank in our pub.
13:11I would put money on the fact she probably drank in that half-moon.
13:14Wow, so I guess it would be understandable
13:16if her spirit was restless.
13:18Yeah.
13:19Wow.
13:20Lots to think about.
13:21Definitely.
13:22Thanks, Penny.
13:27Hello?
13:32What's up there?
13:33What was that?
13:34Did you hear that?
13:36Yeah, I heard that.
13:37This female, who I saw in white, I'm also seeing her in black, like a black shadow.
13:54He's wanting to warn everyone about something or someone.
14:11There's a twist to this pub.
14:13It's just something that's not right.
14:15It doesn't feel right.
14:17The longer I stay in here, the more emotional I become, to be honest with you.
14:29What type of experiences have yourself or Jodie or other, you know, staff members, for example,
14:34what have they experienced there at the pub?
14:36Well, I think things have been hurled at people and, you know, there's been some very strange
14:43goings-on.
14:44Objects have been thrown?
14:45Like what?
14:46Like glass bottles, a thing of hammers, tools.
14:54Wow.
14:55Where would you say is the most active area in the pub?
14:57It's the cellar.
14:59Things got hurled at people and things dropped.
15:02It was just odd.
15:03But always with men.
15:06Really?
15:07I never heard it happen to a girl.
15:09Gender specific.
15:10Exactly.
15:11I wonder why.
15:12Some furious woman lurking in the wall.
15:15Furious woman.
15:16That's another interesting one.
15:17I hope that we can help in a way that really resolves the case and offers some peace to Jodie
15:28and yourself.
15:29Thank you very much.
15:32Now we've got a better understanding of the case and having sensed multiple spirits within
15:40the property, it's time for the team to regroup.
15:43I found out some pretty juicy facts about this village and things that happened here.
15:47I found out there's a distinct difference in energy between the top floor and the bottom
15:51floor.
15:52I agree with you.
15:53And for us to meet Jodie for the first time.
15:54Hello.
15:55Here we go.
15:56Hi.
15:57Hi Jodie.
15:58Hi.
15:59Lovely to meet you.
16:00Jodie.
16:01Welcome to the half moon.
16:02There's certainly things going on in there.
16:03I can guarantee that.
16:04Is there?
16:05Oh my God.
16:06Look, I've got goosebumps already.
16:07Let's go in.
16:08Shall we go in?
16:09Will you join us Jodie?
16:10Come on.
16:11Come on.
16:18We start spirit triggers in the restaurant where Ian sends an entity wanting to play with
16:23glass and bottles.
16:24Jodie, what have you felt and what are you expecting?
16:27I mean obviously why we're all sitting here is because things have happened.
16:31Yeah.
16:32And I have definitely felt things like or seen shadows in my peripheral or feel like someone's
16:41walked over my grave.
16:42There was a bottle that was thrown at one of my team members in the cellar.
16:46I'd have to say that I don't know if this has got any meaning but it always happens to
16:51men, the kind of more violent moments.
16:56Oh wow.
16:57So we'll start with some EVPs.
17:00EVP stands for electronic voice phenomena.
17:03So essentially we're going to record for disembodied voices.
17:06That way we might get some communication going.
17:09We'll play it back and listen.
17:11Let's call out the road.
17:12Yeah.
17:13Jodie, do you want to call out?
17:15Okay.
17:16Hello, I'm asking for anyone that is here.
17:23What is your name?
17:27How many of you are here?
17:33How old are you?
17:36What is your name?
17:40In recording.
17:41There was a little girl stood between you two.
17:42A little girl?
17:43And she was dusty.
17:46He's fascinated by Jodie.
17:49How many of you are here?
17:53What's that?
17:57Does that say, can't breathe?
17:58Play it again.
17:59Oh my God.
18:03I can hear breathe.
18:04Can you hear that?
18:05I can hear that. I can hear it breathe.
18:05I can't breathe.
18:08Play it again.
18:09Oh, wow.
18:15Can't breathe.
18:17I've got so cold.
18:19What do you make of that, Jodie?
18:20Yeah, that's quite clear.
18:21Spirit triggers in the dining area of the bar.
18:24Ian to call out.
18:25I think this benevolent spirit is a little girl I sensed upstairs on my walk around.
18:31The little girl.
18:32Can you hear my voice?
18:35Can you try and tell me your name?
18:42How old are you?
18:46Did you live here?
18:50All right, let's see if there's a response.
18:53Did you live here?
18:56Hang on.
18:57Was that weird?
18:57Was it something?
18:59Did you live near here?
19:03Yeah.
19:04No.
19:05Yes, and then here.
19:07Someone must have lived here.
19:09Now, is this the same person who's telling us they can't breathe, or is this a different person?
19:14I think we're dealing with multiple spirits here.
19:16Mm.
19:17Given the level of activity that's been reported in the cellar area, I think that's the place that we should investigate next.
19:24I mean, how about you, Jane, take Jodie in there?
19:26Ian and I watch a nerve centre.
19:29As Barry and Ian head to the nerve centre, I take Jodie to the pub's cellar, an area that everyone hates to go in, due to the sheer volume of malevolent energy.
19:42Now, I learned from the historian Penny that a lady called Eliza Wilmer lived in the village.
19:50There was a tragedy in that she'd left her four-year-old with her two-year-old.
19:54Now, the four-year-old John, he was known to like playing with matches.
20:00The two-year-old, unfortunately, died from his injuries.
20:03Oh.
20:03Now, she actually took to alcohol, and she passed away from an enlarged liver some years later.
20:11How long ago was this?
20:12So, she lost her two children in 1872.
20:16She was only around 22 years old.
20:18And this would have been a pub, then?
20:20Yes.
20:21On my walk around, I sensed a female spirit.
20:24I wonder if this could be Eliza.
20:26Do you think Eliza would be there because she was known for drinking?
20:32Do you think she's throwing bottles around and getting angry?
20:36Do you think it's her?
20:37Well, she died young, right?
20:39So, she'd be frustrated about the fact that she's lost her children and drank herself to death.
20:45Yeah.
20:47So, I'm calling out now to any spirits that can hear my voice.
20:54Maybe Eliza Wilmer.
20:58Maybe the little girl.
21:00Hello, who is in the cellar with us?
21:10What is your name?
21:14Why do you get so angry?
21:23Moment of truth.
21:24Is that a whisper?
21:31Why do you get so angry?
21:37What was that?
21:38Did you hear a very quick john?
21:43How does it make you feel in this cellar's face?
21:46Are you okay with you?
21:47Do you want to be in here on your own?
21:49No.
21:50Okay.
21:54No?
22:02But it's like someone's very close to the microphone, doesn't it?
22:06I don't know.
22:07I think someone's just poked me in the back.
22:14Oh, God.
22:15I think someone's just poked me in the back.
22:17I thought that I'd gone back onto...
22:20It hit something.
22:20...that there was something there.
22:22But there's nothing...
22:22You're nowhere near anything.
22:25It's like that was...
22:26I thought that I'd gone back onto something because it was so obvious.
22:32Mm-hmm.
22:32What did you feel when you were in that area?
22:35I can remember getting drawn in there and I sat down on the second barrel
22:38and I just felt sadness and I felt like there was blood on my hands,
22:44like something had happened and I was blaming myself for something that had happened.
22:47No, I feel, like, cold.
22:50It feels a bit odd.
22:51Mm.
22:51It does feel really odd.
22:53Well, I'm quite happy to leave.
22:55Okay, let's go.
22:56Shall we?
22:57Let's go.
22:59Oh, gosh, go to the light.
23:05While Jane heads to the nerve centre,
23:08Barry and I take Jodie up to the steps of the attic
23:11where I was drawn to a little girl's spirit.
23:14So I'm going to get you to put a blindfold on.
23:16Okay.
23:16And this will just take your senses away from you.
23:20So I just want you to listen to my voice.
23:24Your body will start to relax.
23:28And there'll just be darkness around you.
23:31I'm using a method called regression to lower the conscious mind,
23:35allowing the subconscious to take over.
23:38Describe to me what you see.
23:40People sitting around the fire.
23:44Smoking.
23:46We're slowly going to walk past the fire.
23:51We're going to go up the staircase.
23:53I want you to tell me what you see or what you hear.
23:57How do you feel?
23:59Do you see a lady?
24:02Do you see children?
24:03Children.
24:05Is any of the children ill or are they all happy?
24:08No.
24:10All happy?
24:11Yeah.
24:11I'm filming with my structured light sensor camera,
24:15which picks up anomalies invisible to the naked eye.
24:18Do you see any of the parents?
24:21Do you see any of the parents?
24:22Mum.
24:26She's sad.
24:27My camera's caught two figures surrounding Jodie,
24:30almost as if they're attracted to her as she slips further into her regression.
24:34What did you feel then?
24:37Hot.
24:40Why do you feel hot?
24:41I don't know.
24:42It's hot.
24:43I just think it's fascinating that that mental, that psychological experience has had a physical effect.
24:50Really powerful stuff.
24:52She's really sensitive.
24:54Have a look around.
24:54What's happening?
24:56I don't know.
25:02I'm finding it hard to breathe.
25:04Okay.
25:05I'm hot.
25:09I want to come down.
25:11You're coming down the stairs.
25:13Why do you feel the need to come down the stairs?
25:15It's too hot up there.
25:17It's not normal.
25:18On the count of three, we're going to walk through that light.
25:23One, two, and three.
25:27And you're now back in the room.
25:31Well done, you.
25:33Oh, I didn't know what the hell happened there.
25:36Well, you went on a journey and you gave us loads of details that we brought you into this room where you are now.
25:43It's like dripping hot.
25:45I managed to capture two figures.
25:48One was actually stood here, around the door frame area, as you were talking, and then a smaller figure, as you were talking about the children, appeared in this corridor.
25:57I could see them all up there.
25:59It was so weird.
26:00That was quite extraordinary.
26:01Let's get you outside for some fresh air.
26:03Well done.
26:04I'm going to go and call off.
26:06All right, thank you so much.
26:08See you tomorrow.
26:08Take care.
26:08Bye.
26:09Take care.
26:09Bye, guys.
26:12Once Jodie leaves us for the night, I take the guys to the nerve centre to tell them how I've set up the cameras for tonight's investigation.
26:23Hey, guys, that was quite a compelling spirit trigger, wasn't it?
26:27Yeah.
26:28Yeah, I'm surprised that Jodie was able to so easily see into the past of the building.
26:33I agree.
26:34Now, I've got eight cameras I've located across the entire pub.
26:37So I've got three cameras on the ground floor, one separating the ground floor and the middle floor, and that's the stairway cam, and four upstairs.
26:45Starting on the ground floor, camera number one is located in the bar area.
26:49Yeah, and that's where I felt almost like poltergeist activity.
26:52I was aware of things moving.
26:54Camera number two are positioned in the restaurant area.
26:57That's where we carried out part of our spirit triggers this evening.
27:00The third camera is located in that very creepy cellar.
27:05Yeah, and that's why I saw the spirit with blood on the hands.
27:08The fourth camera's looking down the stairway.
27:12Camera number five is upstairs in corridor one.
27:14And it's near that creepy staircase where I saw that female with two children.
27:20The sixth infrared camera is positioned upstairs in corridor two.
27:24I put camera number seven upstairs in the spare bedroom.
27:27I felt very emotional in there.
27:29So I put the final eighth camera upstairs in the living room, and this is trying to maximise coverage up there.
27:35Now, where do you think we should begin tonight?
27:37Do you know, Jodie and I weren't really getting any activity in that cellar room, and I think maybe it's because we're female.
27:43You know, Jodie alluded to the fact that they believe that energy seems to be angry at men.
27:49So, Barry, why don't you go in there and just see if you can maybe trigger some responses?
27:54I knew that was coming.
27:55All right, well, I'll head to the cellar then.
27:57What about you guys?
27:58Well, I think Jane and I should head up upstairs near the staircase and see if I can make communication with that young girl again.
28:03All right, let's go.
28:05OK.
28:05As Barry heads to the cellar, Jane and I head upstairs to see if we can communicate with the little girl we encountered during spirit triggers.
28:22The little girl.
28:26You came to talk to me earlier.
28:28This is Jane.
28:30Mum.
28:30That breathing's horrific.
28:37Sweetheart, if you can still hear us, we've got a little toy here that will help us talk to you.
28:44Is that OK?
28:46I'm going to see if the little girl will find it easier to communicate using the Alice Box, a psychokinetic device that announces voices in the ether.
28:54She's making me itch, like mad, and I'm really sore and tender.
29:02But I'm struggling to breathe.
29:04So she must have had a condition where her skin's funny, itchy.
29:10The church right opposite this pub, there is a plague pit there.
29:13And I'm wondering whether the itching and also you would have had a fever and you'd have felt really poorly with it.
29:22Oh, crikey.
29:23You wouldn't have just had horrible, painful skin.
29:27Do you know something?
29:28Fact!
29:29Fact.
29:30Oh, my goodness.
29:31So she was a plague victim.
29:34Oh, sweetheart.
29:35Poor girl.
29:36So sorry to hear that.
29:38In the cellar, Barry is using an ITC application, Echovox, to try and contact the spirit that's been throwing bottles.
29:47Hello, spirits.
29:49I'd like to know who the spirit is that throws things at people, that throws wine bottles.
30:03What the fuck was that?
30:05Who?
30:06Did you hear that?
30:06It's fucking right between us.
30:08Whatever it is that's right between us is because it's in front of me.
30:14That was a voice.
30:15Spirit.
30:17I heard you.
30:21Please tell me your name.
30:25What was that?
30:27I just heard Eliza.
30:29I actually heard the name Eliza.
30:30I heard it as well.
30:31That was, like, clear as crystal.
30:36Didn't Jane say that there was that female who died of, like, drinking too much?
30:42Yeah.
30:42Her name was Eliza.
30:43Yeah.
30:44It was in here, man.
30:46It literally came from in here.
30:49Eliza, I'm not running away.
30:50I heard you.
30:51I heard you.
31:01What was that?
31:03It was something that touched my head.
31:04This was the same spot that Jane was also touched.
31:10Eliza, did you drink yourself to death?
31:18Oh, my God.
31:20I just heard a yes.
31:21I think we are definitely dealing with this female spirit called Eliza.
31:29End recording.
31:32We're going to go regroup with the others.
31:41Hey, guys.
31:42Hiya, mate.
31:43Hi.
31:44Just be careful, because she's talking to us.
31:47Oh, well.
31:47I told you there was another man coming.
31:49This is Barry.
31:51Hello.
31:51This is Adrian.
31:53Throw.
31:54Oh.
31:55Throw.
31:55Well, interestingly, I was just talking downstairs in the cellar.
31:58Might.
31:59Might.
32:00Might.
32:01What are you going to throw?
32:03Might throw.
32:04Don't throw me.
32:06You might throw something.
32:07Well, I don't think she's responsible for throwing bottles in the cellar.
32:10That is definitely Eliza.
32:11Why would Eliza be doing that?
32:13Well, I can only presume that Eliza is frustrated and angry and upset because she drank herself to death.
32:20So maybe she's warning people.
32:22Agreed.
32:22Agreed.
32:22Agreed.
32:23Agreed.
32:23Oh, wow.
32:24Correct.
32:24So good.
32:25I don't know.
32:26I don't know.
32:26I don't know.
32:27Mummy.
32:28Mummy.
32:29Oh.
32:31Mummy.
32:31We know.
32:32We know, darling.
32:33You're looking for your mummy.
32:35Do we know her name?
32:36I'm just asking for a name.
32:39Can you tell me your name?
32:41Come on.
32:41Alice.
32:46Alice.
32:47Alice.
32:48Oh, my God.
32:49Oh, little Alice.
32:51That's her name.
32:52Alice.
32:53I can't believe it.
32:53Thank you, darling.
32:54Thank you, darling.
32:56Such a clever girl.
32:58Well, I think we've got what we need in here.
33:02Definitely.
33:03Alice wasn't one of Eliza's children.
33:05So she must be one of the hundreds of plague victims
33:07exhumed in the 50s from the church opposite the pub.
33:11Let's head to the living room area up here.
33:14I want to review some of the DVPs I heard in the cellar.
33:17Yeah, let's listen.
33:21To get a name on command is rare.
33:25So in the cellar, you heard DVPs?
33:30I did.
33:31If you pass the speaker over, I'll see if I can play this for you.
33:34What's that?
33:36Hang on.
33:36The light's gone on.
33:37Look, look, look, look, look.
33:38Open it.
33:39Open it.
33:39Open it.
33:41What did you hear?
33:43Hello?
33:48Ian, why don't you head on up?
33:50I felt a heavy presence in this hallway on my walk around,
33:54and it's giving me a bad feeling.
33:57Church.
33:58This door.
34:00What?
34:01What?
34:02Church.
34:03Church?
34:03We were just talking about she's in the churchyard.
34:07She is buried in the churchyard.
34:09That door, I just saw it slam closed.
34:13Hello?
34:18Hello?
34:19Why do you want me to come here?
34:24My name's Ian.
34:26Why are you drawing me up here?
34:27Who's here?
34:29Who's here?
34:37What was that?
34:39What's that?
34:41What?
34:41What's that?
34:42What's what?
34:45What the fuck?
34:46That just got thrown at you.
34:50Where the fuck did that come from?
34:51It just got thrown at you.
34:53Guys?
34:53Yeah?
34:54Here.
34:55Come on.
34:56One sec, I'm coming.
34:58Who did that?
35:02Adrian just caught that being thrown at me.
35:04You're joking.
35:05Look, though.
35:06What is it?
35:07We could hear something up here, and then as I was coming down, Adrian caught that being thrown at me.
35:15Oh, my God.
35:16We got thrown when we were talking to little Alice.
35:19We did.
35:21Alice?
35:21Barry, just be careful.
35:22Could this be Eliza?
35:24Remember, she causes poltergeist activity.
35:27She throws the wine bottles.
35:29The spirits are becoming more active.
35:32We're hearing quiet voices, and doors are starting to move on their own.
35:36What?
35:37What?
35:37Up behind you.
35:38What?
35:39That was a little voice.
35:40It was down here.
35:41What was that?
35:42Don't, don't.
35:44Come on in here.
35:46Shh.
35:46That's the store.
35:49Oh, my God.
35:50You are joking.
35:51Did you not just hear the store slam?
35:53I did.
35:56Hello, Eliza?
35:59Or Alice?
36:03Someone's giving us the runaround now.
36:04Who's here?
36:07Can you tell us you're here?
36:08By doing something, saying something.
36:11You need to stop it now, and just come out from wherever you are, and tell us why you're here.
36:20Whoa!
36:22Where was that?
36:23In here.
36:24Right, let's go.
36:28Eliza?
36:29We've been told that you throw things, which you have done.
36:36Oh!
36:37Jesus Christ.
36:38What the fuck was that?
36:39Do you know what that was?
36:41What?
36:41That was these blinds.
36:43Somebody just went like that on those right behind my head.
36:48I could hear it.
36:49Knock once for yes, twice for no.
36:51Do you need our help?
36:56Oh, shit, that's behind you, Jane.
36:57These blinds keep moving.
37:00This place is so active.
37:03But I feel...
37:04Whoa!
37:05What?
37:05Whoa!
37:06That was right here.
37:08Eliza, give one really clear loud knock or bang if you're willing to let us help you.
37:17Oh, my God.
37:22There.
37:22We head downstairs to find out the link between Eliza and Jodie's pub, using an ITC application
37:30that provides a bank of words to enable spirits to communicate.
37:35Did you mean to take your life?
37:38No.
37:43Whiskey.
37:44Was that whiskey?
37:45That was whiskey.
37:46Mm-hmm.
37:47Whiskey.
37:48Mm-hmm.
37:49Well, that would have been a sure way to end her life, wouldn't it?
37:53Did you drink in this pub?
37:57Yes.
37:58Yeah.
37:59That was yes.
38:01That was a yes.
38:03We will help you.
38:04Yes.
38:04It's clear that Eliza needs help to cross over so her soul can be at peace, and we need to
38:15help Alice find her mummy.
38:17So I create a prayer circle to help the spirits go to the other side.
38:24Father, divine spirit, we pray, Father, for you to bring the light to surround us all
38:32here this evening.
38:35We ask for the doorway that separates us both to be opened into your world.
38:40The suffering that you both went through will disappear.
38:47You no longer need to feel any burden or any guilt for anything that happened.
38:57You can move on.
39:00We thank your Father for keeping us safe this evening.
39:02As a new day dawns, we invite Jodie back to the pub to explain what we found out during
39:14the investigation.
39:16Hi, guys.
39:17Good morning.
39:18How are you all?
39:19Very well, thank you.
39:20We had quite an amazing night.
39:22Really?
39:23Really?
39:23Yeah, a lot to tell you.
39:24Oh.
39:26I mean, as you remember, of course, you joined us initially for the spirit triggering session.
39:30Yeah.
39:31We were attempting to capture EVPs.
39:34Yeah.
39:34And we did, virtually straight away.
39:37We caught this.
39:39How many of you are here?
39:41How many of you are here?
39:52Oh.
39:53At the time, we listened back and we thought it sounded like, can't breathe.
39:58Yeah.
39:58But that's exactly what it says.
40:00Yeah, it's almost like the breath is going on.
40:06Mm.
40:07Yeah.
40:07Yeah.
40:08And it was interesting for us because on the way here, Ian, you'd felt something affecting
40:14your chest.
40:15Yeah.
40:15I almost felt as if there was kind of fluid on my lungs or something like that.
40:19Yeah.
40:20And that's what happened with me upstairs as well.
40:22Remember, I was like, felt like someone was sitting on my chest.
40:25That's right.
40:26Yeah.
40:26Wow.
40:27Once you left us, we decided to separate.
40:30So Ian and I went upstairs because we talked about this different energy.
40:34Yeah.
40:35Yeah.
40:35Barry actually went into the cellar area alone.
40:39Did you?
40:40We thought maybe.
40:41You just got goosebumps just the thought of you doing that.
40:44As you mentioned that men seem to have most of the activity centered around them in the
40:50cellar area, so I went in there and I was using a digital voice recorder to record for
40:55any electronic voice phenomena.
40:57At this stage of the investigation, we had no idea what we were dealing with.
41:00No.
41:02So I tried, and almost immediately, I got a response.
41:07My name is Barry.
41:08Please tell me your name.
41:12Oh, my God.
41:14I'll play that again for you.
41:18My name is Barry.
41:20Please tell me your name.
41:23Eliza!
41:24Oh, my God.
41:25What's that?
41:26I just heard Eliza.
41:27Oh.
41:29Eliza.
41:29If you remember, Jane had mentioned to us that there was a female who lived very locally.
41:36She died quite young.
41:39Following the death of two of her children.
41:41Her name was Eliza.
41:42So it's her.
41:43Throwing things.
41:45So she's angry.
41:46She's angry because she lost her kids or she's just...
41:49Well, I asked questions about whether she was frustrated and there were lots of different
41:54responses that indicated that, yes, that was the case.
41:57It was actually also probably to prevent people from drinking or making the same mistake that
42:03cost her her life.
42:04So whilst I was in the cellar, Ian and Jane were upstairs trying to communicate with the little girl that Ian had sensed and seen during spirit triggers.
42:13Yeah.
42:14We then decided to start using a device called the Alice ITC box.
42:18It's basically a device that contains banks of words.
42:21Not only do you hear them in a very electronic, computerised way, but you see the word on a little display screen as well.
42:28So there's no room for error at all.
42:30You know exactly what's being said.
42:32Have a listen to these.
42:33PHONE RINGS
42:34Lose.
42:37Lose.
42:38Lose.
42:39Lost her mummy.
42:40You lost your mummy.
42:42Mummy.
42:43Mummy.
42:43This is totally separate to Eliza.
42:46Yes.
42:46This is another family.
42:49Yeah, this is a little girl that was in here when he was doing spirit triggers.
42:52Okay.
42:53So I kept calling out this little girl saying, can you tell me your name?
42:56And I kept repeating.
42:57And then eventually we got this.
43:03Can you tell me your name?
43:05Oh my God, it's Alice.
43:07Alice.
43:08Alice.
43:08Oh my God.
43:11I've never in many years of using the application and the device.
43:14I've seen Alice come up on screen.
43:17Wow.
43:18Amazing.
43:19That's nice because when I was speaking to mum about the little girl energy, how she always felt upstairs,
43:26it wasn't this kind of more menacing kind of energy that I felt down here,
43:31that she felt quite comforted by this presence.
43:36So that really indicates that that was Alice.
43:40Yeah, 100%.
43:41Yeah.
43:41We actually got quite a bit of activity upstairs on the landing area.
43:46So I could hear footsteps and funny little noises.
43:49So I was drawn outside to the staircase.
43:52So I thought I'd just go up the staircase and just so far.
43:55And I could hear something.
43:56And then it just disappeared.
43:58And I thought it'd gone.
43:59So as I started to come down the stairs, this was thrown at me.
44:05Thrown?
44:06Thrown.
44:07Give over.
44:09Yeah.
44:10Adrian's captured that on camera.
44:12I don't...
44:12Up the stairs came down.
44:14Now, it didn't hit me.
44:16It was almost like a little warning, a bit of fun, but it just landed to my left side.
44:23So have you seen that before?
44:25No.
44:26I don't even know where you're getting, because it's certainly not the colour of the stone that I've put out anywhere.
44:30Prior to this, we'd had two words come out of the Alice box.
44:38Throw.
44:38Throw and might.
44:40Might, yeah.
44:41So we all decided to come back downstairs.
44:44And we sat in the bar area this time, because Barry had made brief contact with Eliza.
44:51So we ran another ITC application.
44:54This is called Necrophonic.
44:55And we asked specific questions of Eliza, and we did get responses.
45:00Listen to these.
45:00So at the time, we thought the first response had said they leave, so this was the next question and response.
45:11Did your sons leave?
45:15And I think that says they died.
45:17I had this feeling.
45:19I think I made an assumption that she drank herself to death.
45:21Did you mean to take off your life?
45:27Whiskey?
45:28Yes.
45:28Whiskey.
45:29Whiskey.
45:30But the response we got, whiskey, was absolutely bang on.
45:34I think the evidence speaks for itself, but it does give us that distinct difference between the energy upstairs and the energy downstairs.
45:41Yeah.
45:42Eliza wasn't a malevolent entity.
45:45She's not evil.
45:46No.
45:46She was just frustrated.
45:47Yes.
45:48And therefore trying to get her point across.
45:50Yeah.
45:51I'm just taken aback by the whole experience.
45:54It's just been amazing.
45:56And to see you come and thread through all of these different things that I had so many questions and obviously helping these people move on.
46:07And honestly, you guys are just extraordinary.
46:10Thank you so much.
46:12It was a pleasure.
46:13It's been another active and captivating investigation.
46:17How amazing was that?
46:18I know, and I felt attached to Alice, you know.
46:20Well done, guys.
46:21Yeah.
46:23But who knows what the next case will bring.
