00:06Let's talk about last night. Gusty winds and lightning occurred as a weakening cluster of thunderstorms moved across Trinidad.
00:14Wind gusts between 50 to 65 kilometers per hour, which was observed in several areas leading to sporadic reports of falling trees, power outages and minor roof damage, primarily in northeastern Trinidad.
00:27We had reports coming from Piaco, Sangi Grandi, Oropo, Chagones, just to name a few.
00:33Winds of this strength are capable of toppling putted plants and light objects outdoors.
00:39Larger but unsecured roofs may be damaged.
00:42The hurricane season still has four and a half months to go.
00:45There's no time like the present to prepare.
00:48Looking at conditions in Portisbane now, the TV6's weather center says downtown is mostly clear with temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius,
00:56with winds coming south-southeast at the speed of 3 knots and with humidity at 68%.
01:02Later tonight will be mostly fair, but hazy conditions are likely to be interrupted by isolated early morning showers.
01:10We have minimum temperatures in Trinidad at 24 degrees Celsius and 25 in Tobago.
