00:00Hello, good morning. More settled weather is on the horizon for next week, but we start

00:05the weekend with further heavy showers, thunderstorms and some persistent spells of rain moving

00:10through parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, West and North Wales. In between, always a

00:16chance of heavy showers developing just about anywhere through the UK, but the greatest

00:19risk by the afternoon is across northern and northeastern parts of England, southeast Scotland

00:23where low pressure is lingering and here there could be further heavy showers, torrential

00:29downpours perhaps, and even some hail, lightning and gusty winds. Away from the showers, away

00:35from the wet weather that is most likely across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, we

00:40are going to see some sunny spells and it's actually East Anglia and the southeast that

00:45will fare best for some afternoon sunshine and mostly dry weather, as well as the Outer

00:50Hebrides. And where we've got the sunshine, in the southeast at least, we've still got

00:54some warmth. Still the potential for 25, 26, 27 Celsius, but elsewhere it is feeling fresher

01:00following the showers. And there will be further showers overnight and longer spells of rain for

01:05Scotland and parts of Northern England, but all in all it's tending to ease off. The rain breaks

01:11up and it's going to turn lighter as well. Clearer spells are breaking through by the end of the night

01:17and it's certainly going to be a more comfortable night for sleeping, having lost the high levels

01:21of humidity. So 12, 13 Celsius in the south by the start of Sunday. I think single figures

01:27possible in some sheltered northern areas. And we start Sunday with plenty of sunshine actually,

01:33a lot of dry weather around. But as temperatures rise, once again we've got low pressure nearby,

01:38so some scattered showers will break out. Not as lively as Fridays and Saturdays, but still the

01:45potential for the odd heavy downpour. And just about anywhere could catch one of these showers.

01:49But like I said, they'll be fairly well scattered. They'll move through. Many places will avoid them

01:53and stay dry. And it's going to feel pleasant enough with temperatures back closer to average.

01:58In any sunny spells, warm, but feeling fresher compared with recent days. However, by the end of

02:06Sunday we're going to start to see high pressure moving in from the south. And that's going to lead to

02:10a more settled spell at first in the south next week. But by midweek, that more settled and

02:16increasingly warm and sunny weather spreading nationwide.
