00:00Hi there.
00:01It's likely to be the 13th consecutive 30 degrees Celsius day for the UK, but the run
00:06stops here because cooler air reaches us through the weekend.
00:10In fact, that cooler air has already made its presence felt in the north and the east.
00:14High pressure drifting slowly to the northwest, and around that we've got this fresher air
00:18coming in from around the North Sea and the Atlantic.
00:22And as a result, we also see some cloud, certainly a cloudy start in the far north and the east.
00:28And we keep some cloud into the afternoon, but much of it breaks up, retreats back to
00:33the coast.
00:33A few light showers associated with the cloud, certainly feeling cool with the breeze coming
00:38from the north around some of these more exposed coastal parts.
00:42Inland though, plenty of sunshine and temperatures widely in the west and the south reaching the
00:47high 20s.
00:48Somewhere in central southern England, the Midlands, southwest England reaching 30, 31
00:53Celsius.
00:54So the run continues, but not everyone experiencing that heat.
00:58You can see notable fresher air across Scotland, across eastern parts of England, away from
01:05western Scotland, I should say.
01:07Now, with that heat building, always the chance of a shower or thunderstorm to parts of Wales,
01:13especially higher parts of Wales, the southwest and then central southern England late afternoon
01:17into the evening.
01:18Most places avoiding these, but where they happen, very heavy rainfall in a short space of time.
01:23Some rumbles of thunder.
01:24Also some showers, these of a more light and scattered nature across northern Scotland into
01:30eastern England as low cloud returns overnight.
01:34And that breeze as well, always present.
01:37Elsewhere, clear spells.
01:39Another warm night to come across parts of Wales, the south and west of England, but certainly
01:44a fresher feel.
01:44A cooler night to come further north, where temperatures only just staying in the double
01:49figures in many urban areas and in sheltered rural spots, dipping well into the single figures.
01:55We start the day on Saturday again with cloud across northern Scotland and eastern England.
02:00Some light showers associated with this cloud.
02:03Those light showers continue even as the cloud breaks up into the afternoon across northern
02:07Scotland.
02:08Cloud tends to drift further south and west.
02:11So generally I think across some central parts, a cloudier day and again a few showers break
02:17out into the afternoon.
02:19Otherwise, it's another day that's largely dry and bright across the United Kingdom.
02:24Plenty of sunshine, but a much lower humidity widely.
02:28And you can see that difference with the temperatures widely, the low to mid-twenties in the warmer
02:35spots.
02:35And an isolated 27, 28 Celsius somewhere around southwest England.
02:40Otherwise, certainly a fresher feel.
02:42And on that east and north coast, temperatures a little below average, mid to high teens with
02:48the exposed breeze continuing.
02:50Always a chance of a lively shower once again through the Welsh mountains, central southern
02:54England, the south west as we end Saturday.
02:57But once again, most places staying dry with high pressure well and truly in charge.
03:01And that high pressure continues through next week.
03:04That means it's going to stay dry for the foreseeable future and there'll be lots of warm
03:09sunshine, albeit not as hot as it has been recently.
03:13We'll keep you updated right here on our YouTube channel.
03:15Bye bye.
