On Saturday the 54 gymnasts selected to represent the country at the CARIFTA Games were given their uniforms which they will wear at the tournament. It marked a special moment for the athletes who will be aiming to give their best at the competition.

00:00It was a special day for the 54 athletes selected to represent the country at the
00:04Carifta Championships having their photos taken to mark the occasion at the
00:09Tots and Tumblers Gymnastics Club. They were listening attentively as they were
00:13given a pep talk by their instructors about what they can expect at the
00:16competition and what is expected from them. For some it was the first time
00:20putting on the kit. They are all going through their emotions as the time gets
00:25closer before departure. Some were nervous while others were excited.
00:29I feel like elated that I get to go because my dream was to always compete
00:35in the Olympics and something of the something of the nature of the Olympics
00:40for gymnastics. It was my one dream since I was like five.
00:44I'm a little bit nervous because on me I feel really scared because I keep falling off.
00:55So how much are you looking forward to this competition?
00:59A lot. I feel excited because it's my first time going to a big competition.
01:07How does it feel wearing your kit and your leotard?
01:12It feels exciting because I'm excited.

01:20Yes, I'm looking forward to the journey because it's an experience
01:24and I love to experience experiences.
