00:04What a difference a few years makes.
00:06Chloe Fraser has adapted quickly to the sport and now it's paying dividends.
00:11She won the Junior Player of the Year for 2023 while capturing the Junior and Senior
00:15awards for 2024.
00:17I'm really grateful for these awards.
00:20I think all of these awards were only possible by the grace of God and I really wasn't expecting
00:26to have the accomplishments that I received this year and this past year.
00:30The awards came as a surprise for the athlete who knew she wanted to play the sport for
00:34a long time but perhaps did not think her rise in the sport would be this fast.
00:39I had no clue.
00:40I couldn't even see myself doing some of the things that I have done in 2023 and even 2024.
00:47Now she will be focusing on the Table Tennis Champions League but did not want to say how
00:51she would perform.
00:53I'm not sure.
00:54I'll just go into it trusting God and trusting that he will provide me with results that
00:58I'm looking for and results that I've been working for.
01:02Meantime Malik Gopal who won the Junior Player of the Year award for 2023 and 2024 is hoping
01:09to put in a good performance at the Champions League as well.
01:12He has also set his eyes on the Caribbean Championships next year.
01:15I'm really honoured to collect this award because I've been working really hard in France
01:19and finally my work is paying off and I think this motivates me more to keep playing better
01:25and playing better and improving more and I feel like I can improve more and keep working
01:30harder.
01:31However, there are still areas for him to improve.
01:33I want to get stronger physically because I'm a little weaker there and mentally I'm
01:39weak too so I think I have to get stronger mentally and physically.
01:43The Senior Player of the Year award went to Aaron Wilson for 2024 while 10 other awards
01:48were given out to participants over the same period.
