00:00 Hello, a mixed bag today and indeed the weather stays pretty mixed as we head through the
00:04 weekend as well. Low pressure, never too far away, but at some spots we'll see some sunshine.
00:11 As we've been through the morning, we've seen a lot of showers around this low pressure
00:14 up to the north, but also further south. Look at that on the radar, intense rain moving
00:19 across northern France. But we have seen some heavy and thundery showers just grazing southeastern
00:24 parts of England and the chance of one or two more heavy showers developing over eastern
00:28 England this afternoon. Very hit and miss, but they could be fairly lively. We'll continue
00:32 to see showers coming into western Scotland, close to the low pressure. You can see the
00:36 swirl there and further outbreaks of rain likely across Shetland. But for a good chunk
00:40 of the country, yes, often fairly cloudy, maybe one or two light showers, but many places
00:45 will be dry and bright and temperatures getting to around about average. A little warmer across
00:51 the southeast, still quite warm and humid here, 25, maybe 26 Celsius with a bit of sunshine,
00:55 but most places high teens or low 20s at best. As we go through the evening, any of those
01:01 heavy showers scattered across eastern England will disappear and many will become dry. The
01:07 zone of showers that will continue across Scotland, again, you can see the swirl there
01:12 close to that's where the low pressure is. So further showers to come across Scotland
01:15 overnight. Otherwise, most places dry with decent clear spells and a bit cooler, actually
01:19 cooler than the last couple of nights. Temperatures certainly in rural spots likely to get down
01:24 into single figures. Most towns and cities about 10 or 11, still a little warmer across
01:29 East Anglia and the southeast into Friday and broadly speaking, it's sunshine and showers.
01:35 But the main focus for showers will be close to the low pressure across Scotland's Northern
01:39 Islands and parts of northern England, seeing some very frequent showers, one or two for
01:44 Wales and southwest England and the odd one further east. But I suspect much of eastern
01:48 England will be dry for most of the day and parts of southeast Scotland may also see some
01:53 decent shelter. But northern Scotland will continue to see frequent outbreaks of rain
01:58 and a fairly blustery winds and everywhere on the cool side, actually temperatures dropping
02:03 off across East Anglia, the southeast, not as humid tomorrow. And mostly these numbers
02:08 are touched below average for the time of year high teens for most at best. During Friday
02:12 evening, still a few showers scattered around. If you're heading out and away for the weekend,
02:17 particularly over northern England, north Wales and again across Scotland, there'll
02:20 be more heavy showers scattered across the country on Saturday. The low pressure not
02:26 really moving very far. We will see a bit of a change, a bit of a switch through the
02:30 weekend, a weather front moving in during the course of Sunday and then perhaps a bit
02:35 of a ridge toppling in as we head to Monday, which is a back holiday for many of us. Some
02:41 uncertainty about the details for the weekends, but it will be, as I said, staying fairly
02:45 mixed. More details on that in our full weekend forecast. You can catch that on YouTube. It'll
02:51 be up there on Thursday afternoon.
