00:01Previously on Project Runway All-Stars.
00:04I'm Carolyn Murphy and I'm your host for the toughest All-Star season yet.
00:10Everyone who makes it to Project Runway All-Stars is super talented.
00:14R.M.G.
00:16Emilio Sosa, amazing designer.
00:19Uli, amazing.
00:20Joshua, Laura Kathleen, amazing.
00:23Wendy Pepper!
00:25Just go ahead and try and underestimate me.
00:28You're going to be split into two teams to create a mini collection.
00:33Andre is questioning whether this garment is going to be bold enough.
00:38You're a little bit out of your dance.
00:41I'm cutting and sewing these pants right now.
00:43She may be going down in her underwear.
00:49The pants, they give a whole new life to skinny white pants.
00:53The lace is a surprise. She feels fresh.
00:55Anthony Ryan is the winner of our first challenge.
00:59This is an evening ensemble.
01:01I just don't get it. Am I missing something?
01:03It's too complicated with the eye right now.
01:05The more you talk, the more I dislike it.
01:06Okay, Isaac, come on.
01:07I have to say, so you should stop talking.
01:08Next time, we need to say, these are my strengths and I want to contribute.
01:12Peach, you're out.
01:1413 of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:19Back for more.
01:20Back for blood.
01:22Admit it, you missed them.
01:24And this time, the competition is tougher than ever.
01:27This is war.
01:29Each week, their skills are tested to the limit.
01:32Hideous or fabulous.
01:34This is not a game.
01:35Nothing gets past me.
01:37Who will be cut and who will have it all sewn up?
01:40This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:44The winning designer will have the chance to create a custom-branded capsicletion with Nine West.
01:49The winner will also receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire Magazine and a position as contributing editor for one year.
01:55From Laura Mercier, an all-expenses-paid trip around the world to Fashion Week such as Paris, London, Milan and Tokyo.
02:02A technology suite and office space from HP and Intel to bring their creativity to life and run their business.
02:08A sewing and embroidery studio from Brother Sewing and Embroidery to help launch their line and a cash prize of $150,000.
02:25Oh, my gosh.
02:28Today, we're in the Nine West showroom and it is shoe heaven-arama.
02:35Well, good morning, designers.
02:38Good morning.
02:39To introduce the challenge, please welcome Chief Creative Officer of the Jones Group, Stephanie Greenfield.
02:46This week, your challenge is to create show-stopping party wear for a glamorous night on the town inspired by disco.
02:54Finally, my era.
02:58I lived through the 70s and if there's any challenge I want to win, it is certainly the disco challenge.
03:05So, on display here are shoes from one of Nine West's top shoe trends, 70s Brights.
03:13Each of you will select one shoe as inspiration and your model will wear those shoes with your design on the runway.
03:20Anthony, Ryan, you won last week's challenge, so you get to pick a shoe first.
03:31I knew it.
03:32It's black, it's graphic, and I know I will be able to put my own spin on it.
03:37Since Ivy picked me in the last team challenge, I'm going to have to go ahead and go with Ivy.
03:42I'm trying to do something with a little more embellishment, especially since it's for a disco party. Casanova.
03:58Emilio.
04:03Great, and I know what I want to.
04:05I immediately gravitated to the orange pork heel. It just kind of spoke to me.
04:16I will choose Miss Wendy Peppernut Salt.
04:20I'm on my way to being picked last again, but Suede came in and saved the day.
04:26Laura, Kathleen.
04:28So, I'm chosen second to last. What the hell, nobody likes me here.
04:32I'm going to go this way. Yes.
04:35Or maybe they know that I'm good, and they want to try to give me the hardest challenge possible.
04:43You can do it. I know you can.
04:45You are going to make something incredible.
04:49You have the next 30 minutes to sketch, and you'll be doing it right here in the Nine West showroom.
04:53Fabulous.
04:54Awesome.
04:55You'll be judged on how well you updated the disco theme into your party wear.
05:00And this runway takes place tomorrow, so you really don't have much time.
05:06As extra motivation, we have a prize for the winning designer.
05:09The winning designer will be featured in the Nine West fall ad campaign.
05:18To be the winner of this challenge is fantastic, because you get a chance to be in the ad that runs nationwide.
05:24So everybody is going to see your dress.
05:26The challenge begins now.
05:29Bye.
05:30Bye.
05:31I was on the bottom last week, and the judges told me that my look was complicated.
05:44But I'm still intrigued by the idea of an evening ensemble, which has a lot of volume on the top, and then narrowness below.
05:53So the area we're pulling from, it's all that Studio 64.
06:00I grew up behind the Iron Curtain, and we didn't have quite the music America was listening to.
06:06So I think my disco was different than everybody else's disco.
06:11I'm sketching a very simple, sexy, short dress.
06:19But then I will knit a spider web on the back and on the skirt.
06:25Okay, guys, let's go.
06:26I can't wait to go to Mood.
06:29Grab your shoes.
06:30I need your shoes.
06:31I've got to really step it up.
06:40I've got to come up with something that is going to not require any explanation.
06:45So I'm looking for fabrics that have a lot of vocabulary.
06:52This is gross.
06:54I'm going to go upstairs.
06:55I'll be right back.
06:56I decided to make a jumpsuit.
06:59I'd choose an emerald chiffon because I thought it would be very feminine to pair it with this shoe.
07:06Hey, guys, we have about five minutes left.
07:11Where the hell did my chain go?
07:12I am running around because I have this notion to make a leather pant.
07:16And then I want a punchy print, and then I want to tie it all together with this silver chain.
07:22I'm sort of thinking I know what I'm getting, but the tension and the pressure,
07:27you almost lose your mind.
07:29You have nothing that attaches to the chain.
07:32No.
07:33No, we don't.
07:34All right, guys.
07:35Time, everyone bring your name together.
07:38Thank you so much.
07:40Yours out.
07:41Amen.
07:46All right.
07:47Ready for Nine West?
07:49So ready.
07:50To create a look in one day, that's no time at all.
07:54So if you see a glue gun coming out, honey, it's okay.
07:58I'm making a white dress.
08:00That's for sure.
08:01Did you find that in this color?
08:03That's amazing.
08:04Bold colors, though.
08:05That's smart.
08:06In a sea of colors, my white dress will stick right out.
08:10Perfect.
08:11You know, I have to hook it.
08:14I'm thinking about just putting it here and not having it go hang.
08:19Oh, I see.
08:20Do you see what I mean?
08:21Yeah, yeah, yeah.
08:22I'm extremely happy that Anthony Ryan came out winning the first challenge.
08:25I mean, I know what he's capable of, but I just want to look at everyone else and say,
08:29this kid's got talent and he's about to serve it to you.
08:32Can I make myself a jacket out of the remaining fabric?
08:35I'm making a jacket out of mine, so don't go there.
08:39Laura Kathleen is a sweet girl, but she can be a little annoying at times.
08:43I'm more interested in being in the mix with more of the real designers like Emilio and Uli,
08:48and those are people I feel like are more designing on my level.
08:52I would say the strongest designers are Uli, Anthony Ryan, and I would say myself.
09:02Is this a skirt or a pant?
09:04Oh, okay.
09:05Fit a little shenanite, and then boom, done with summer.
09:10Rest in peace.
09:11That's terrible.
09:12God, rest her souls.
09:13I am making this gorgeous bronzed gold sequins off the shoulder, top.
09:19Stupid pretty.
09:20And this chevron striped palazzo pant that's going to be so super hot.
09:26For me, this is very comfortable to go to a nightclub and hang out and get drunk.
09:32Yeah, but who wants that?
09:34My client.
09:35You know what I like about this challenge?
09:39Night Live, Slutty, Casanova.
09:43The next day she sends us to the laundry because it's over.
09:46She's like, what happened?
09:47She doesn't know.
09:48Yeah, she has no idea.
09:49You didn't bring any extra hair dye, did you?
09:53Yeah.
09:54Did you lend me some?
09:55Yeah, of course.
09:56I have become very good friends with Suede.
09:59Totally to my surprise, I have just found one of the most incredible people I think I've ever met.
10:06Is that as close as you're ever getting to that part?
10:09I've been there, honey.
10:11Not going back.
10:14I do notice that some friendships are forming between designers.
10:17Suede and Wendy seem to really be bonding and alliances are helpful.
10:22But I'm on my own and I'm out for myself.
10:25Kane, I like your pants.
10:27Every time I see someone do, like, stripe fabric on a show or something, they're like,
10:33yeah, it would have been nice if you'd have matched up those stripes a little better.
10:36You have to.
10:37I need to miter the stripes of my metallic knit fabric.
10:42Evidently it takes a lot more fabric to do that.
10:45So I'm feeling like a dummy right now because I should have bought six yards of fabric.
10:50You are a stupid .
10:52I have to get this right.
10:54Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
10:57I see these Mamma Mia inspired bell-bottom pants and I'm like, puke.
11:04Perhaps this was a couple of years in the 70s where I was asleep.
11:15The challenge is to take a shoe from Van West and create an outfit that's inspired by 70s disco
11:21and make it modern party wear.
11:25The amazing prize for this challenge is to be in a fall ad campaign for Nine West.
11:30It's really great.
11:33Last week, even though I was in the bottom, I got some great feedback.
11:36You have two different dresses here and I think visually it's a lot for the eye to take in.
11:41Learn from the judges. That's the key to this competition.
11:44So Suede says that can work in his favor.
11:52I've noticed that Suede has these chains hanging off his pants and I thought, so how can I tie in the whole chain belt from the 70s into the way people are wearing chains now?
12:03Awesome.
12:04If you want to make a costume for the 70s, Wendy is killing this challenge.
12:10It's like Mad Max.
12:12Welcome to Thunderdome.
12:17I don't understand the dress jeans. I need to put it all together.
12:21This look that I'm working on is so simple and I need to do something amazing in the back.
12:28So my idea is to do some tangles with spaghetti straps.
12:34I know it's time consuming, but I need to do something spectacular.
12:39Where's the spaghetti?
12:41Oh my goodness.
12:43No, this is a wig that I want to do.
12:51Hello, designers.
12:53Hi, Joanna.
12:54As probably the only person in this room that remembers disco the first time around, I'm personally extremely excited to see what you are all up to.
13:04Kane.
13:06Hello, darling.
13:07How are we getting on?
13:09My whole inspiration for this ensemble was Donna Summer.
13:13This is a tricky maneuver.
13:16Don't even talk to me about it.
13:17And I'm just looking at this and knowing that Georgina is going to go straight to this and absolutely have a freak out.
13:22It's just a basted stitch.
13:24Just make sure for the finished garment, you've got them absolutely perfectly in line.
13:29Talk to me about how this is referencing the 70s.
13:33The sequins and the shape for me.
13:36I mean, perhaps this was a couple of years in the 70s where I was asleep.
13:40Ouch.
13:42That one hurts.
13:43The challenge is very specifically to be show-stopping, not stop the show.
13:49Just the word blazer makes me shrivel up a little.
13:53Laura Kathleen make a lovely design.
13:56But that's a look that she's going to hang out.
13:59She's going to work in an office.
14:02So what is the show-stopping bit of this?
14:04Because at the moment this looks very daydressed.
14:05I know the amazing prize is to have it featured as an ad campaign for Nine West.
14:11Mm-hmm.
14:12So what I thought it was important to do is have the shoe be the leading lady
14:16and have the outfit be the supporting actress.
14:19Are you then answering the prize as opposed to the challenge?
14:26This is a bit like sort of fabric to wash dishes with, isn't it?
14:29It's sort of scrubbing, pan scrubbing.
14:30So this is for a coat on the outside, but all out of organza.
14:34Andre's going to be in trouble.
14:35That's exactly the same design he did last time.
14:39I hate saying this, but I just don't get it.
14:42I just have never worn a coat in a disco.
14:45And I used to go to discos a lot.
14:49All right, so I'm feeling a bit of a white man's overbite when I look at these.
14:53I don't know what that means, but...
14:55It means how people used to dance.
14:56Oh.
14:57Like this.
14:58This feels to me girly.
15:01It looks a bit Halloween-y.
15:03Okay.
15:05I mean, this looks a bit to me like one of those things you have at the side of the stove
15:08that you put the spoon that you've been stirring the sauce with.
15:11Okay, so if I took this off, would you begin to sort of keep me in the family still?
15:15I would keep you in the family.
15:16Okay.
15:17Yes.
15:18I think of the 70s as the decade that taste forgot.
15:22I'm just nervous about extra fabric on the butt and abs.
15:26We just don't want them to look any bigger than they really are.
15:28My girl definitely wants to have fun.
15:31Good.
15:32Wants to be comfortable.
15:33Excellent.
15:34I like the word comfort.
15:35No one ever talks about it in fashion.
15:37It's so important.
15:38When you're going out and you're going to dance, you cannot be, like, self-conscious of, like,
15:43my boots are going out, I'm going to show my panties or something.
15:48So my design, you can get crazy and nothing's going to happen.
15:52Designers, there's some really, really good things going on here.
15:56Good luck.
15:57Thank you, Joanna.
15:58Thank you, Joanna.
16:07Oh, my God.
16:08Where are those models?
16:11Hi, darling.
16:12Look how pretty they are.
16:14This is your shoe.
16:15Those are beautiful.
16:16Let me see how this skirt is.
16:18Is the 70s enough?
16:19I think Uli's dress looks like something from the Ice Hotel.
16:25I think I have to fix this.
16:26I like it, but I'm not obsessed with it.
16:30Ivy's work, it's not flattering to the woman's form.
16:33You know, it's one thing to design something that's really cool, but I think what really makes a great designer is when you can put on the clothes and feel better about yourself than you did without them.
16:42I don't know.
16:47It's a little better than the last time, eh?
16:50I see these Mamma Mia inspired bell-bottom pants and I'm like, puke.
16:59Well, this is definitely a party dress now.
17:02And then there's suede.
17:03I'm not going to dance in that dress.
17:05It's like you're stuck in a golden refrigerator.
17:08Sleep for the way.
17:09All right, get some sleep.
17:10No.
17:12Yeah, but it's way too complicated for time.
17:17All right, let's go, Davis.
17:18We have about 20 minutes left.
17:20Oh, no.
17:21No!
17:22No!
17:27I'm so terrified.
17:29The plan that I had for this challenge was to do a big voluminous coat.
17:32I'm realizing that it's getting a little bit scary here because I am running out of time.
17:38We gotta go, guys.
17:39Time up, time up.
17:40Time up, time up.
17:41Come on into the lounge.
17:43Come on, come on.
17:45Now, I know we've been working really, really hard and we need to blow off some steam.
17:50Oh.
17:51So I think we need to take a little disco time right now.
17:56What better way to be inspired than have a disco dance prank?
17:59One, two, three.
18:01Yeah!
18:02Take your shout out!
18:03Josh hits the dance floor and I say, you know what?
18:04I am dancing with that boy.
18:08Oh, what a day.
18:09Come up here.
18:10We got a letter from Carolyn.
18:11Oh, my God.
18:12Carolyn mail.
18:13Oh, my God.
18:14Carolyn mail.
18:15Hello, all stars.
18:16I was on a photo shoot today with one of my favorite designers and he has a message for you.
18:31Shut up.
18:32Love, Carolyn.
18:33Oh, my God.
18:34Oh, my God.
18:35Oh, my God.
18:36Oh, my God.
18:37Oh, my God.
18:38Oh, my God.
18:39Carl Lagerfeld is one of the most amazing designers, most renowned, most respected.
19:04Project Runway All-Star Design.
19:07Fashion is all about pushing ideas.
19:10Be creative.
19:11Take your job very seriously.
19:14But have fun.
19:15Good luck.
19:16Wow.
19:17Woo!
19:18Woo!
19:19Let's celebrate!
19:20Woo!
19:21Woo!
19:22Woo!
19:23Woo!
19:24Woo!
19:25I'm pretty cool.
19:26Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
19:29Right now, I'm not even sure Andre knows what Andre's doing.
19:33Oh, it's upside down.
19:35I don't mind to help Ivy.
19:36My dress is a disaster.
19:38I ain't selling nothing for no one.
19:48Let's do this.
19:53Keep it cute, bro.
19:55Why are we doing this in our age, Emilio?
19:59All the stress.
20:00That's for young people.
20:03I'm realizing that the work that's required to deal with this damn organza is really, really
20:09eating up time.
20:10And I'm wondering if I'm gonna have enough time to finish the skirt as well as the top.
20:18Right now, I'm not even sure Andre knows what Andre's doing.
20:22Hi, guys.
20:23How's it going?
20:24So very fierce for this runway.
20:25I'm so glad you came.
20:26I've had a chance to walk around the workroom today, and I have to say, I feel pretty confident.
20:39I have to wear a pair of supercalifragilistice rocker pants.
20:45That outfit belongs on the street in some back road at 5 a.m. in the morning.
20:51Okay, everyone.
20:52Let's go ahead and head to the Laura Mercier makeup room.
20:58We're going for a Diana Furstenberg-inspired look.
21:01Okay, so a little coffee and gold.
21:03Yeah.
21:04Make her look fabulous.
21:05I have your eye but kind of dewy a little bit.
21:16Dead center and then .
21:18So I'll set it in like a really tiny iron and then we'll brush it out.
21:22Today we are channeling Bianca Jugger.
21:24We'll pull up the ponytail and maybe like do a kind of big texture moment.
21:28I would love that.
21:35One more.
21:40OMG.
21:41OMG.
21:42I am still scrambling to get done.
21:44The pressure is on because Emilio is working right next to me and his designs are always beautiful and very distracting.
21:54My model looks going to a body, obviously.
22:00Hey guys, we only have about 30 minutes left.
22:03Excuse me.
22:04Excuse me.
22:05It's okay.
22:06Don't worry.
22:07Fixtures, fixtures.
22:08So I'm kind of freaking out because I haven't finished my look yet.
22:11If I don't put the embellishments on, I know that my dress is a disaster because it looks too dull.
22:16Where did he put the needle?
22:18Right.
22:19Ivy is not ready.
22:20So I don't mind to help Ivy.
22:22There is a bunch of crappy designers that need to go home.
22:26Thank you so much, Kelsey.
22:27You're welcome.
22:30I ain't sewing nothing for no one.
22:32This is all-stars.
22:33If someone's got to sew up for you, then you don't need to be here.
22:36Hey guys, we only have five minutes.
22:38Exactly.
22:39Now you're going to a party.
22:40Perfect.
22:41Oh, let's get the bag.
22:44Where did the...oh, thank you!
22:47Okay.
22:48I've got to whip through the finishing on the organza piece and then pray to God that my top looks to them complete.
22:58It's upside down.
23:00Oh, inside out.
23:01All I want is for them to like this.
23:03Guys, time to walk.
23:05And we'll walk.
23:06Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
23:07I do think it looks a bit theme park.
23:08It could have gone to a chica place.
23:09I'll take that as a compliment.
23:10I'm thinking, are we in Spanish Harlem?
23:11Hello, designers.
23:12Do you think I'm ready to go out?
23:13Definitely.
23:14Definitely.
23:15This week, Nine West asked you to create show-stopping party wear.
23:19You were inspired by the disco era, but specifically the shoes that your models will wear tonight on the runway.
23:26Oh, thank you.
23:27You are so excited about it.
23:28Oh, my God.
23:29I'm so excited about it.
23:30Oh, yes.
23:31You're so excited about getting some of the stuff on the runway.
23:33Probably not.
23:34Oh, my God.
23:35I'm so excited.
23:36And you're so excited about King of the Aramira.
23:39Yeah, I'm absolutely excited about you.
23:41And you're too excited about that.
23:43let's meet our judges first the designer and co-founder of marquesa the beautiful georgina
23:51chapman and we have one of the most famous names in fashion the designer isaac mizrahi
24:02can't wait to see our guest judge is the creative director of nine west handbags please welcome
24:12designer rafi tatango as you know the winning look will be featured in the fall nine west campaign
24:25so let's get the party started have a great show
24:34i think the dress is spectacular it's moving like liquid gold it's a modern disco look for the woman
24:40of today
24:49i love my outfit i'm confident about it
24:54you have to own what you do and it looks great
24:57it's definitely a cocktail look you almost kind of think of a little cocktail party at a club
25:13i couldn't be happier
25:14my dress on the runway move beautifully
25:25all together came along very nice she looks perfect
25:28it's sculptural in the front it's flowing in the back definitely channeling the 70s
25:42she is definitely working it suede is in love
25:51i hope this is fun enough
26:04i might be in trouble because i think she might have tucked the top into the back of her bra
26:08i love how the embellishments sparkle on the runway i'm so happy that casanova was kind enough to help
26:21me with that because i definitely think that that's what made the garment
26:38you can definitely see the new uli it's a vision it's beautiful
26:41it looks amazing it's an uli but a new uli
26:56the color turquoise against my model skin looks absolutely beautiful
27:04when you see the back there's a beautiful cutouts and i think it adds an element of sex that
27:09helps define who i am as a designer
27:17i think that she looks beautiful she looks like a modern 70s girl at a disco party
27:27i think she embodies like diane van furstenberg who is like the goddess of the 70s
27:31it doesn't matter that i'm born in 1984 i know 70s not worried
27:45i think she looks great and i think i might even have a chance in the top three
27:48i think my outfit is very studio 54 meets michael kors resort collection so it's very now very
28:04beautiful and i know all of my girlfriends are going to want it
28:06she looks just like jennifer lopez glowing in miami
28:17designers if i call your name please step forward anthony ryan emilio
28:24althea laura kathleen joshua suede congratulations you're safe well done you can leave the runway thank you
28:44to the remaining designers three of you have high scores and three of you have low scores
28:50it's time for your critique so let's bring out your models
29:01ivy how did your nine west shoe inspire your look when i think of disco i think of jumpsuits
29:08and bell bottoms so i wanted to create a look that complemented the shoe without overpowering it
29:13i love the way you've got the gold of the shoe the gold at the top and where you've cut off the
29:19pant underneath it's a sort of flapper-esque feel to it it bothers me that the stones stop in the back
29:26that is the first thing that you do to like an inexpensive dress that you can't afford the embroidery
29:31on the color is stunning i love the shoes of course i think it's a very very beautiful combination
29:38thank you i think this is a really feminine sophisticated look i would have preferred a little
29:42shorter because i think for a disco theme you want her to go to a club so i feel like she's
29:47a little too like i don't know pulled together for this so wendy well when i saw my nine west
29:54black and white shoe immediately what came to mind was how much i love a tuxedo so i tried to make
30:00a pair of sort of stylized tuxedo pants and i chose a punchy red to pull into my black and white
30:06and then i tied it all together with a silver chain because that's what my 13 year old daughter wears
30:12i love the fact that you did reference a younger generation but i'm just not crazy about it it's a
30:17little too much going on for me when you started talking about the shoe and a tuxedo look that
30:23immediately evoked feelings of ysl in the 70s tuxedo and this to me i i just don't see tuxedo in it
30:31but i i do applaud your use of color and print i don't know what i'm looking at it's like everything
30:37but the kitchen sink there's the chains a black and white shoe and then a black and white wagon
30:41my eyes confused i don't know what i'm looking at i like the graphic quality about it i do think it
30:47looks a bit theme park though do you know what i mean it goes a little junior for me
30:53kane for some reason i gravitated to this gorgeous tangerine
30:57heel and i wanted an outfit that didn't compete with that beautiful colors the top i'm not crazy
31:04about the top to be honest i love the silhouette but i'm just not crazy about the texture there's
31:10something so j-lo about her i don't know why i can't get over that it's like j-lo standing there
31:15i'll take that as a compliment um yeah but it it somehow it works against the disco thing for some
31:20reason those trousers and the 10 seams that is very hard lining up all those chevrons perfectly and
31:28that makes me very happy to see that it's very pleasing thank you sweetheart thank you kane julie
31:34i thought of a girl that's like free-spirited and fun you know something that sticks out in the party
31:40without being can i say slutty she's the kind of girl who i want to go dancing with i mean i want to just
31:46shake my booty with her she looks great i'm kind of getting like a futuristic kind of cherokee moment
31:52like an american indian kind of futuristic share i want more on the back the skin something skin
32:00exactly you were very smart with the time constraints you were given to pick a simple shape you could just
32:05concentrate on making a really sharp looking item and you know what she feels modern thank you so much
32:11let's move to casanova my client wants to go out and be confident in the way that she can be dancing
32:19the whole night the fabric is plain so i decided to add some fun at the back i like the back i think
32:26it's a really interesting detail how did you do that making bias individual i love this dress i really do
32:34it's a very sexy dress but it's not dangerous a woman doesn't have to worry so much about things you know
32:41because it's so tight right the color is what immediately grabbed me it really evokes 70s it evokes
32:48fun however i would have rather seen this long it could have gone to a slightly chic a place
32:56so andre why tried to make a top that ignites that inspires i'm so sorry i had this so planned you
33:06know what when she walked on the runway she took her jacket off and i think she should take her jacket
33:10off again that is sort of gorgeous yeah i kept trying to remove elements this week and i maybe
33:17should have removed one more here's another case you got your actual hair and makeup and styling so
33:23good the coat threw me it took me back to where we were last week and we don't want to think you're a
33:28one-trick pony i mean it's interesting because when i first saw her walking down the runway as well i was
33:33like oh my god take off that coat quickly like it was just like off take it off take it off out
33:42thank you andre i think it's been an interesting runway huh so we're going to discuss thank you
33:48designers you can leave the runway
33:50so guys let's talk about some of our favorites let's start with uli i was amazed by what she had
34:02put together you know maybe it wasn't the most 70s thing but what she did was just this kind of little
34:08jewel of a dress funny you should say that because that does make me think is it so good because she
34:13just made something that feels now but it isn't really 70s while the others really drew from 70s
34:20ivy's dress looks a little a little lady i thought it was an adorable cocktail dress the hot pants made
34:26it a little bit more fun and whimsical and a little bit more risque my only question with the dress is it
34:31disco you know what i do remember like as a kid looking at older women looking like that did that make
34:37it more interesting to you it made it worse to me i wish it was a dress me too
34:43i would love to talk about casanova because this color this fuchsia was just stunning it was plain
34:49and simple and then she turned around and oh i liked it you know but i loved in the end the effect
34:53of her i didn't dislike this dress it just didn't say anything new to me i've seen this so many times
35:01it just didn't make me go wow this is something fresh and modern that i haven't seen
35:06when i get too windy i'm thinking are we in spanish harlem that was a print i did not like and then the
35:15chains oh my god if she referenced her 12 year old daughter that should have been like to me her red
35:20light however there's such an intent of creativity there that you can't help but be inspired you may
35:27think it is so wrong here but i i'm excited to see where your mind might be going like andre for instance
35:34right there were things about it that were sort of so interesting the underneath it was a little
35:40lazy lazy or random is he thinking or is he just not thinking you know i've seen him before in the
35:47previous season and it seems like every time you give him a critique he falls apart and you know if
35:51he can't take that criticism let's see does he have what it takes can we talk about kane because he
35:58also was i mean there was a lot of work that went into those trousers and matching up all the lines
36:04and just because he worked hard on it doesn't make it good the sequin top was so boring and cheap
36:11there was nothing intriguing there was no mystery no mystery this woman
36:14but have we made our decision yes okay let's bring them back out
36:30designers one of you will be named this week's winner and sadly one of you will be going home
