00:01Previously on Project Runway All-Stars.
00:05Bonnie and Clyde are two of the most notorious outlaws in history.
00:08You'll be working in pairs to create an updated 30s look.
00:12One designer will create the male look, and one will create the female look.
00:16You're not the size of your measurements at all.
00:18My fitting turns out to be a disaster.
00:21If I don't finish this thing, I know I'm gonna go home.
00:23Maybe an edit is in order.
00:25Zanik told me to edit my look.
00:27Ultimately, it's more about following my gut.
00:29I think it's great. We have to keep going.
00:34The coat is really great.
00:36Out of all the men, I like that look the best.
00:39That is killer. I love every single thing about it.
00:42This week's winning designer is Jeffrey.
00:46I feel like it looks constricting.
00:48The jacket, it looks a little too costumey.
00:50Okay.
00:51I just feel like it just missed that era.
00:53And the bow tie goes a little clowny to me.
00:55The designer going home tonight is...
00:58Michael.
00:59Eleven of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:05And this time, the competition is tougher than ever.
01:11Each week, their skills are tested as they compete for the biggest prize in runway history.
01:17Who will be cut?
01:18Who will be cut?
01:19And who will have it all sewn up?
01:22This is Project Runway All Stars.
01:24How are you, designers?
01:25Good.
01:26Good.
01:27Good.
01:28Good.
01:29Good.
01:30Good.
01:31Good.
01:32Good.
01:33This week's challenge is truly unprecedented.
01:49I am really excited to introduce your client this week.
01:53An icon who's about to celebrate 25 years as the matriarch of America's number one TV family.
02:01Who is it?
02:02Her request may create a little chaos for you in the workroom.
02:07Oh, God.
02:08Intrigued?
02:09Confused?
02:10I'm going to hand it over to her to reveal your challenge.
02:14Stand by.
02:15Hello, Project Runway All Stars designers.
02:20Huge fan of The Simpsons.
02:22I mean, I'm always in awe when people do amazing work that touches the masses.
02:26You know?
02:27And The Simpsons has done that.
02:28This is Marge Simpson.
02:30Normally, I have one simple fashion philosophy.
02:33Find a dress that looks good on you and wear it every day for the rest of your life.
02:38But today, I need you to design me an outfit for a really special event.
02:43A dinner date with my husband, Homer.
02:47He tells me there might be waiter service and not a cafeteria tray to be seen.
02:53My only request for the dress?
02:56No cream.
02:58Also, there might be some snuggling after dinner.
03:02So Homer requests that the dress be easy enough to remove after he's had several glasses of wine and a secret six-pack of beer.
03:11When I go to dinner with my husband, I want to get a little something-something for dessert when I get to the house.
03:16Also, please remember to make use of the accessories on the Who's Ever Sponsoring the Wall Now wall.
03:25Thank you, designers, and good luck.
03:28There we go.
03:31To mark The Simpsons' 25th anniversary celebrations, you're going to create a dress for Marge Simpson.
03:39That's crazy talk.
03:41As Marge said, she's looking for a sexy dress suitable for a dinner date with Homer.
03:46The winning design will be animated and worn by Marge in a future episode of The Simpsons.
03:52Oh, my God.
03:53Oh, my God.
03:56Take and address it, you design, and then animate it for millions of people to see.
04:01I think this is pretty freaking cool.
04:03And, of course, you'll have access to all the accessories on the QVC accessory wall.
04:08Now, Marge doesn't have the largest wardrobe of options.
04:11No.
04:12So you've got to make something really special for her.
04:15I will see you and your designs on the runway tomorrow.
04:18Good luck.
04:20Bye.
04:21That's so great.
04:22Something that comes off easy.
04:24Yeah.
04:25Yeah.
04:26He's petrified.
04:27It needs to sink in, you know?
04:42So cool.
04:43I love this.
04:45Oh, my God.
04:47Behind every great man stands a woman.
04:49Marge just got caught standing in the wrong line.
04:52Oh.
04:53So last week, I was in the bottom, and, I mean, what a bunch of .
04:56Being here is rad, but I'm not here just to be rad.
05:00I'm here to win.
05:05Bart's shirt really inspired me.
05:07It's a bright red, and he popped out at me the most, and I'm going to go with red.
05:12So I'm going to do the dress kind of more simple, and I'm known for my signature jackets.
05:17I'm going to make an evening blazer for her to wear.
05:20You know, I think red is the obvious choice for a date dress.
05:24I wanted to do something a little more elegant and unexpected.
05:27The underdress really is inspired by what Marge is wearing, sort of that tube dress.
05:31It's romantic, but I feel like it's still Marge.
05:36Marge said she wants to be sexy.
05:38Luckily, Marge has an amazing body.
05:41Not every woman is going to be able to pull off the dress I'm making, but Marge is not every woman.
05:45All right, guys. Time's up. Let's go to mood.
05:48Bye, Marge.
05:53All right, guys. We got 30 minutes. 30 minutes.
05:58Where's the poly organza?
06:00That's crazy. Yeah.
06:02Last week, I actually won, which felt amazing.
06:05I'm a little more relaxed, but at the same time, I feel like there's more pressure.
06:08This one's a hard challenge.
06:10I think I have to push myself into colors and prints to win this challenge.
06:15Oh, that's gorgeous.
06:18I'm doing a very colorful, floral, strapless dress.
06:21It would be fun to see a print on her on TV.
06:24Fifteen minutes, guys.
06:26I'm thinking about all the wonderful things that I love wearing when I go out to dinner with my husband.
06:33Something that shows Homer, you know, what she still has.
06:36You know, just something sexy but simple.
06:38And every housewife in America can look at it and think, I want to wear that, too.
06:45I grabbed some red satin. I grabbed some moth satin.
06:48I grabbed some purple taffeta.
06:50I have about two or three dresses in mind.
06:53And as I go through my fabrics, as I start playing with them,
06:56I'll decide which direction I'm going.
06:59Time's up!
07:01Dear Jesus.
07:02You ready?
07:04How'd I do?
07:05I think good.
07:06I think so, too.
07:07Thank you, Mood!
07:08Thank you, Mood!
07:15Let's do this.
07:16Oh, no!
07:17What's this?
07:18Oh!
07:19Marge has sent us a present.
07:21Oh, how cute!
07:24Cowabunga!
07:25These are rad!
07:27Thanks, Marge!
07:34I start draping my dress right away because I already have something in mind that I want to create.
07:38I'm using organza and chiffon for this sort of large draped peplum from the bust.
07:44I really kind of need to take my time with it. It's not, like, something you can just do.
07:48You're using red?
07:50I think I'm going to use red and purple.
07:53That's cool. That's pretty.
07:54And black.
07:56My dress is going to have lines going down and then draping off so they have volume and they all separate.
08:03I think we're really going to wow the judges.
08:06Who can do the best voice of Marge Simpson?
08:08I can do the groan.
08:13I guess when we mess up in our patterns or whatever, just say dope!
08:19What do you think of this? Is this too young?
08:21Mm-mm.
08:24Why do you think that's too young?
08:26I don't know.
08:27Because I wanted to do, like, a 50s housewife silhouette, like, Doris Day-ish.
08:32But then I was like, that would look really weird.
08:35Mm-mm.
08:36It's not the hardest challenge. It's the most confusing.
08:39I'm not doing a plunging neckline and, like, a low back.
08:42She's a housewife.
08:43I'm having a really hard time with it.
08:44Did you get beading needles?
08:56That's cool.
09:00We'll see how it comes out.
09:03Last week, Victor and I were partners for the Bonnie and Clyde 30s Challenge.
09:07Yes, he was in the bottom and I was in the top, but, you know, now he's not talking to me at all.
09:11I helped him so much and I suffered at the end.
09:15And, you know, it was just unfortunate that that challenge kind of showed me where we stand.
09:21It's weird.
09:22You know, with him upset at me, like, it's putting me in a weird state of emotions.
09:35Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
09:37Jeffrey kind of lost his touch.
09:39Most of the things that he's done are not runway worthy.
09:43Looking at this thing, I'm like, I'm lost.
09:55Hello, designers.
09:56Today's challenge is to do a dress for me.
09:59There is a twist, though.
10:01You have to make it sexy.
10:07This week's challenge is to design a sexy outfit for Marge Simpson for her to go on a date with Homer.
10:14The winning design is going to be animated in the episode of Simpsons.
10:18I love this.
10:20It's really pretty.
10:21Because of the color, like, blues and your black.
10:23Mm-hmm.
10:24I thought if I was to actually get a designer to make me something, I'd want to glam up.
10:28So this material was super expensive, too.
10:30Yeah.
10:31The fabric is where the glam comes in.
10:33Midnight blues sequence.
10:34Stretch.
10:35Stretch is your friend.
10:42Originally, I was just going to be simple.
10:44It's beautiful.
10:45But I think I'm going to go this route.
10:47I think this should be special.
10:48So I changed my plan.
10:50And I'm redesigning a whole new dress.
10:53I'm constructing a bodice, giving it some cool lines.
10:57Oh, yeah, that is fun.
10:58That'll be a fun cartoon.
10:59It's good to have a less stressful, like, it's not as stressful.
11:02Like, that menswear was, like...
11:04Beyond stressful.
11:05Heart attack on the platter.
11:08I learned something from it, though.
11:09Yeah?
11:10What?
11:11That I don't want to be in the bottom again.
11:12Hello.
11:13I know that Victor feels like, last week, he didn't get that much help from Christopher,
11:20as he was expecting.
11:21So I think Victor feels a little bit sabotaged by him.
11:25I appreciate being at the bottom because it really, like, it pushes me.
11:28It's only making me grow.
11:30Try three times in a row.
11:32You won last challenge, so that was good.
11:34Yeah, I guess there is balance, isn't there?
11:36Yeah, it is a balance.
11:40Hello, designers.
11:41Hello.
11:42Hey, how are we doing?
11:43Good, good.
11:44Okay, you are designing for the world's most famous housewife, Marge Simpson.
11:48I am actually kind of jealous.
11:49So, Jeffrey, I'm going to come start with you.
11:51Okay.
11:53How are you doing?
11:54Good, thank you.
11:55Congratulations on last week.
11:56Thank you so much.
11:57It was well deserved.
11:58Oh, my God.
11:59What are we doing more to the point?
12:00Yes.
12:01This lovely woman.
12:02So, I couldn't find the fabric that I wanted.
12:04Okay.
12:05What did you want?
12:06Something with this face, but a lot more flowy.
12:09And I just didn't find what I liked.
12:11Okay.
12:12The dress has morphed into something very modern, very sexy, almost futuristic.
12:17It's date night at a restaurant, so we don't want to go too futuristic.
12:22I agree, but they're also celebrating a 25th anniversary.
12:24I mean, that's the reason for the dinner, that's the reason for date night.
12:28All right, good luck.
12:29Okay.
12:30Bye.
12:31Let me see much.
12:32Yeah.
12:33Let me see.
12:34I don't know where I'm going to go with this yet.
12:36I kind of draped it.
12:37You don't usually do the draping look.
12:39No, I don't.
12:40Draping, soaked jersey or whatever is the easiest thing to do.
12:44I was going to make like an evening-looking jacket, and I was going to put in a color.
12:51Oh my God, I'm so foreign.
12:53Color in the color.
12:55She has yellow skin.
12:56Yeah.
12:57She has blue hair.
12:58She's wearing a red skirt, a black jacket, a purple lapel.
13:02She's going to look like a Rubik's Cube.
13:04Yeah.
13:05So just keep it simple.
13:06All right.
13:07Good luck.
13:08Thank you, Zanna.
13:09Zanna says she likes where I'm going, so I'm going to stick with the black and the red
13:13as my color palette and try to dress it up with accessories later.
13:17Hi, Kato.
13:18How is Marge Simpson's dress coming along?
13:21It's coming good.
13:22You know, I can relate a little bit.
13:24I'm kind of a housewife myself.
13:25I was going to say, look, you do this.
13:27You've got the kids.
13:28You've got how long have you been married?
13:29Yeah.
13:30I've been married for 16 years.
13:31You have.
13:32So what do you do when you're trying to shake things up a bit?
13:34I show him what made him even approach me in the first place.
13:37You know, you've got to show your moneymaker a little bit.
13:39Sexy, Zanna.
13:40Yeah.
13:41Comfortable, but sexy.
13:42Yeah.
13:43All right, my love.
13:44Good luck.
13:46Hello, Victor.
13:47How are you?
13:48I'm very good.
13:49You were in the bottom last week.
13:50Oh my God.
13:51How is this going to get you into the top?
13:52I think it shows a lot of workmanship, taste, and that's what I was lacking in the last month.
13:56Mm-hmm.
13:57Make this stand out.
13:58I will.
13:59This has got to be right at the top again.
14:00Get back up there.
14:01Thank you so much.
14:02Bye-bye.
14:03Two Marge Simpsons, or maybe you're dressing Maggie and Marge.
14:06No, only Marge.
14:07Just Marge.
14:08Just Marge, please.
14:09I did want to do something more elegant, and then I did want to do, you know, something
14:14that's a little bit more wearable.
14:15I think this is a challenge that has stumped Christopher.
14:18Like, he can't figure this housewife thing out.
14:22I've seen this one thousand million trillion zillion times.
14:26That's a lot of times.
14:28I'm going to let you mull that one over.
14:31Tell me about the dress.
14:32So I kind of, like, basically started with the tube dress, which is what she usually wears.
14:37I feel like she'd wear that just, like, up a notch.
14:40And I have these chiffon panels, and so when she walks, they open up.
14:44It's like a Victoria's Secret reveal.
14:47I know this is special.
14:48Right.
14:49Think about how it looks on the runway as well.
14:51It has to really wow them.
14:52Got it.
14:53You must be on top.
14:54Yeah.
14:55You haven't won anything yet.
14:56Right.
14:57Definitely, I'll work on the...
14:59Pizazz.
15:00Wow factor.
15:01All right.
15:02Good luck.
15:03Thank you, Zana.
15:04The win is eluding me, but I think you have to be persistent.
15:06Do great work, and then do even greater work to the point where, like, we can't ignore
15:11this girl anymore.
15:12Seth Aaron.
15:13All right, what's going on with the dress?
15:15Okay, well, I just started my second look.
15:18It's basically layers, and I was going to have boning, so it had some flair.
15:23This is very red carpet.
15:25Yeah, it's also Marge Simpson.
15:27Yeah, but Marge Simpson isn't going on the red carpet.
15:30Marge Simpson's going to a restaurant with a husband.
15:32I'm just toying with lots of options.
15:34Don't think of her as a cartoon character.
15:36Right.
15:37Think of her as a real woman.
15:38Right.
15:39Around age 40.
15:40I don't know how many of those are wearing polka dots.
15:42Right.
15:43Good luck.
15:45I do agree with her.
15:47I need to take it down 27 notches.
15:49I've got to switch it up and hit that mark.
15:52Whoever wins this dress is going in The Simpsons.
15:55This is going to go global.
15:56It's huge.
15:57On the flip side of that, someone's going home.
16:00All right.
16:01Get on it.
16:03Bye.
16:09Where's Christopher?
16:10I don't know.
16:11I'm not sure.
16:16What's up?
16:17I want to apologize for being distant.
16:21I'm more upset with myself than Christopher.
16:24Last week I was in the bottom and it really, it really hurt me and depressed me.
16:29No, I know.
16:30I hate being in the bottom.
16:31I think the feeling is horrible, so I wasn't trying to ignore you.
16:37I just really need to focus right now for me.
16:40Yeah.
16:41We were having so much fun and I enjoyed it.
16:43But I think that sidetracked me and I was not focusing on editing.
16:48It's a lot of stress right now for me.
16:50Yeah.
16:51I don't want to be in the bottom anymore.
16:52That's why I was.
16:53No, I don't want you to be in the bottom either.
16:55I was just really thrown off.
16:57I'm sorry.
16:59I just wanted to clear that out.
17:04You're competing, but you're friends, but you're under stress.
17:08It's juggling a lot.
17:09This is getting tough.
17:15Yes, Neil.
17:16Hi.
17:17Marg asked for something sexy.
17:19This dress will take me a few hours.
17:21My model comes in and basically I've restarted, so I have nothing to fit.
17:27Let's just work it all out as soon as you leave.
17:29I'm going to slam this thing together.
17:30I have ideas to bounce with her.
17:32She's getting to be there from scratch with me.
17:35There you go.
17:36Bring that down.
17:37My model fitting actually finally goes well for once and it fits like it's painted on her body.
17:42I'm very, very happy.
17:43Where is she going?
17:44Is she going to party?
17:45Dinner.
17:46Oh.
17:47I feel like Jeffrey kind of lost his touch.
17:49Most of the things that he's done are not runway worthy.
17:52Maybe I should push this back a little.
17:55Yeah, I definitely have to stitch this dress so it's a little bit more modest.
17:59Should we put this or should I just leave it clean?
18:02I really love Elena's laser.
18:04It's really cool.
18:05But this is Marge Simpson going on a dinner date.
18:09She doesn't need a bulletproof vest and a red carpet gown.
18:12Five minutes, guys.
18:14Five minutes.
18:15We'll put pleats here.
18:17Go bam.
18:18Boom, boom.
18:19Victor, what do you think about this?
18:21It's beautiful.
18:22Is it too T?
18:24No.
18:25I think it has like movement.
18:27My model leaves and I grab my black neoprene, I grab my satin and I start creating a textile
18:41with some cut outs on the body popping some color through so it's not just a black dress.
18:46And then I want a zipper to strike down the front.
18:48Cool.
18:49I feel bad for Seth there and I don't think he's capturing Marge Simpson.
18:52He's thinking of her as a cartoon and he has to separate that.
18:56If not, he will be in trouble.
18:58One hour.
18:59Okay.
19:00All right.
19:01Step on it Paco.
19:02I got this honey.
19:03So I'm in a good place.
19:04Tomorrow morning I just have to finish my sleeve and I'm done.
19:10I started out with like, you know, a nice little evening dress kind of deal.
19:15You changed it up?
19:16Yeah.
19:17Light bulb kind of went quick and I said, I got to go this way.
19:22At the end of the night, I think I'm in a pretty good place.
19:25I think I have a wooden dress.
19:26If not, at least to be in the top for sure.
19:28Anybody want resource water?
19:30Si, senor.
19:31Is that your fifth dress?
19:35Fifth dress.
19:36Fifth dress.
19:38Yes.
19:43Don't try and try again.
19:44That's not the motto this time.
19:46You designed the whole collection for her or what?
19:53I stand back.
19:54I'm looking at this thing.
19:55I'm like .
19:57It's not going to work for this runway.
19:59All right, guys.
20:00Drop everything.
20:01Let's go.
20:02Time's up.
20:03Yes, dad.
20:05I'm lost.
20:07I don't know.
20:08I think about it.
20:11Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
20:13I'm going to fix these lapels.
20:15Jeffrey's garment.
20:16Maybe, like, women's wear is just not his thing.
20:18Where in the hell did that dress come from?
20:21Is that the sixth one?
20:22He really lost it.
20:29Oh, my God.
20:31It's runway day.
20:32We have two hours to complete our look, finish it up,
20:35and then makeup and hair.
20:36Work it.
20:37I'm looking around the room.
20:38Everybody's either done or putting their final touches on.
20:40But I'm going to start from scratch.
20:41I'm going to pull this off.
20:42Another dress.
20:43I think it's dress four?
20:44Five?
20:45Six?
20:46Yeah.
20:47Kind of worried for him.
20:48There's nothing that you can make in two hours that's really going to impress the judges.
20:54Oh, thank God.
20:55Good morning.
20:56Hey.
20:57Hey.
20:58I'm an all-star.
20:59That's why I'm here.
21:00This is something that I'm going to bang out in two hours.
21:02It's going to go down that runway.
21:03I'm going to love it, own it, and shove it in her face.
21:04The good thing is I'm done.
21:05I just want to see where this sleeve is on you before I hem it.
21:08This morning I'm making a decision on whether I'm going to keep a long sleeve or cut it up to a three-quarter, and I think I'm going to cut it.
21:15I think I like that.
21:16I think I like that.
21:17Kato's dress is very Kato.
21:18I don't know if Mark Tinson will wear it, I guess, to the 40-40 Club.
21:22I'm going to fix these lapels.
21:23Jeffrey's garment.
21:24I don't know what to say about it.
21:25I don't know what to say about it.
21:26I'm going to go down that runway.
21:27I'm going to love it, own it, and shove it in her face.
21:28The good thing is I'm done.
21:29I just want to see where this sleeve is on you before I hem it.
21:30This morning I'm making a decision on whether I'm going to keep a long sleeve or cut it up to a three-quarter, and I think I'm going to cut it.
21:35I think I like that.
21:36Kato's dress is very Kato.
21:38I guess to the 40-40 Club.
21:40I'm going to fix these lapels.
21:42Jeffrey's garment.
21:43I don't know what to say about it.
21:45It's unfinished everywhere.
21:47I don't know.
21:48Maybe, like, women's wear is just not his thing.
21:50Guys, it's time for hair and makeup.
21:54Big upper lashes.
21:55Like Marge's upper lashes.
21:56Mary Kay has fabulous liquid liner.
21:59At the Mary Kay studio I decided to do smokey eyes.
22:02I want the eyes to pop, darling.
22:04I'm going to take you to the Alterna Hair Care Salon.
22:09Take this back, but here we want really slick and tight.
22:13Cute French twist.
22:14Let's do a beehive, but let's not be ridiculous.
22:17Let's rough it up a little bit with the texturizing body boost.
22:21Oh, yeah, my uplifting root glass.
22:25Your boobs grow.
22:27No.
22:28What the hell is this?
22:30A dress with a belt on it.
22:32Voila!
22:33I don't think that's what the judges are looking for in this challenge.
22:36I'm going to, um, just pin a belt, and we'll try,
22:39we'll test drive the belt situation.
22:42When I first saw Irina's dress, it beautifully fitted on this side,
22:46and then she added more chiffon on that side,
22:48and then added more chiffon on this side,
22:49and now it's just, like, some humongous nightie.
22:52One minute, guys.
22:57Where in the hell did that dress come from?
22:59Is that the sixth one?
23:00I was struggling with my dress just as much as he was, but he really lost it.
23:06Woke up this morning with it.
23:07All right, guys, time's up.
23:09Here we go.
23:10Coming up on Project Runway All-Stars.
23:16That's the dress of fear.
23:18It looks to me like a sarong.
23:20Her butt in that dress looks so wrong.
23:23The winning designer of Project Runway All-Stars will have the chance to create a custom-branded capsule collection with QVC,
23:31and will appear at QVC's star-studded red carpet style event.

23:38and a position as contributing editor for one year.

24:10From Brothers Sewing and Embroidery, a complete sewing studio to launch their line and $150,000 in cash.
24:21Hey.
24:22Hi.
24:23Hello.
24:24How are you, designers?
24:25Good.
24:26This week, we joined forces with one of the most iconic TV shows in history.
24:31All to kick off celebrations for their 25th anniversary.
24:35Your challenge was to design a dress for Marge Simpson to wear on a date night with Homer.
24:41Tonight's winning dress will be animated and worn by Marge in a future episode of The Simpsons.
24:47Let's meet this week's judges, all of whom are big fans of The Simpsons.
24:51Sitting in for Georgina Chapman this week is a Project Runway All Stars alumni.
24:56Since winning last season, he's been living the All Stars dream, preparing his debut collection at Nine West and working as contributing editor at Marie Claire.
25:06Please welcome designer Anthony Ryan.
25:12Next, one of the most famous names in fashion and devoted fan of The Simpsons, designer Isaac Mizrahi.
25:20Hi, designers.
25:21Our first guest judge was only 10 years old when she was nominated for an Academy Award for the movie Little Miss Sunshine.
25:29After a string of hits, her upcoming movie is already generating Oscars buzz.
25:34She's starring opposite Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts in August, Osage County.
25:40Please welcome the talented Abigail Breslin.
25:46Our next guest fashion label is sold in over 800 stores.
25:50Everyone from Angelina Jolie, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Gwyneth Paltrow are fans.
25:55Please welcome Alice and Olivia designer Stacy Bendett.
26:02This is going to be Marge Simpson's first new outfit in many years, so don't let her or us down.
26:08Break a leg.
26:18As a housewife going out to dinner with my husband, I'd want something I can be comfortable in,
26:22and maybe we can go somewhere else after dinner.
26:24So I've kind of thought about that in my look.
26:27I don't want to be safe.
26:28If I'm safe, I'm catching act two.
26:30I really love the color of this dress.
26:39I love the pattern.
26:40I love the belt.
26:41I love her hair.
26:42I love how I styled it.
26:43So I really hope the judges agree with that.
26:46It's very evening.
26:48I think my fabric choice is nice.
27:01This blue-violet is the perfect complement to Marge's skin tone, and I love the copper and blush sparkles in it.
27:06I'm really happy with my look.
27:20I think it's elegant.
27:21I think it's sexy.
27:22I think it's effortless.
27:23And I feel like it's a big anniversary, so she's going to want to wear something spectacular.
27:39You better get paid, girl.
27:40I notice there's so much sparkle and glitter and shimmer, so I'm very, very excited.
27:45I think it looks beautiful.
27:46It just looks very, very well done.
27:57It's a perfectly beautiful gown that sells in every store everywhere.
28:02When I'm at that level, that's when I'm dangerous.
28:05And I'm at that level now.
28:06I'm very pleased with how everything came out.
28:17I love the drama of when she took off the jacket and the dress came out of it.
28:29Designers, you really have done Marge proud.
28:32But only one of you will have the honor of dressing her.
28:35And having your design appear on The Simpsons.
28:38One of you is safe this week.
28:40And that designer is...
28:42Victor!
28:43Yay!
28:44You're safe.
28:45Congratulations.
28:51It's time for your critiques, so let's bring out your models.
29:01Irina, we'll start with you.
29:03I wanted something really fun and sexy and elegant, so I kept the bottom of the dress very close to what Marge wears.
29:10And then that little tease reveal, because I think she, you know, she's full of surprises.
29:15Irina, I like it both belted and unbelted.
29:18And usually, I like one better than the other.
29:20But in this case, I swear it's great both ways.
29:24I've never been a fan of tealings, and you did it.
29:26It's right on.
29:27And then you've got this great little cocktail short number underneath.
29:30Bravo.
29:32I love this dress.
29:34I'm obsessed with it.
29:35I think it's absolutely gorgeous.
29:37I would totally wear it, and I think Marge will.
29:40I thought this was one of the most creative dresses, but my thoughts were it might be a little fancy for what the assignment was, which was, you know, for a date night.
29:49I think it's a clever color that would work with Marge's skin tone, so well done.
29:54Thank you, Alyssa.
29:55Seth Aaron.
29:56I had a lot of ideas in the beginning, and I needed to reel it back.
29:59And it also needs to translate in my head to animation.
30:04So I'm thinking lines and color.
30:07How long did you work on that?
30:08Not a while.
30:10Not that long.
30:11Well, I think the color is stunning, but it's nothing that I haven't seen before.
30:17I have to say, the color is quite great, but I think that's your only saving grace here.
30:21Because the first thing that comes to mind is it just looks lazy.
30:23We are thinking about a 40-year-old Midwest Southwife, I mean.
30:26Right.
30:27But it does look like you just put the fabric up there and belted it.
30:30I actually really like it.
30:32It just felt a little bit formal for me.
30:34I actually love the drama of the movement.
30:37I did, from a design perspective, look at it and go, God, that looks a little rushed.
30:41And, like, did we get that belt off the street?
30:43The thing I take big issue with is you using the thing about a middle-aged woman as being someone who's just thrown in the towel.
30:50I think if you offered her the right dress, she would rise to the occasion.
30:54I know Marge, and she would rise to this occasion, you know.
30:57So, I don't buy that.
30:59Like, that's the dress of fear to me.
31:02Point taken.
31:03Kato, hi.
31:04I just wanted to make something that, when she walked into the room, she'd have some sparkle, she'd have a little sex appeal, and still be comfortable.
31:11I've always wanted to love a little sparkle, but I didn't feel like this dress read Marge.
31:17Kato, this is great, this dress.
31:19Thank you, Isaac.
31:20The effect of it is, like, easy and casual and underdressed.
31:24I love that you added this sheer kind of stripe down the shoulder.
31:27Great.
31:28Yeah, show a little skin.
31:29I've shown a lot of skin in the last few weeks, but I still didn't want to cover her up.
31:33You're on it.
31:34I love it.
31:35I'm not a sparkle man, I'm not a glitz man, but I love that you chose the mat.
31:39It doesn't look cheap.
31:40It's quite great.
31:41The hem of the skirt is really flattering and really interesting at the same time.
31:46In ten years, it'll still be good.
31:47Yes.
31:48It's really classic.
31:49It is a classic design.
31:50That's hard.
31:51Good job, Kato.
31:53Let's move on to Jeffrey.
31:54I started with this blue-violet silk mat jersey that has blush and copper lurex sparkles
31:59in it.
32:00And then Marge's character struck me as precious, and so I decided to treat the neckline as if
32:05it was an heirloom.
32:06I think that you are having a problem kind of finding this muse and finding who you are
32:11at this moment, because there's something about this fabric that's so remote.
32:15Just the selection of the fabric works against you.
32:18Please turn around, okay?
32:20Her butt in that dress looks so wrong to me.
32:23I love the color palette of the pearls, and it sort of has this Boardwalk Empire vibe
32:28to the whole look.
32:29But I had a really big problem getting past the shoes, because, I mean, I think if maybe
32:33like a more neutral shoe might have been nice.
32:35Yeah.
32:36I do like the color a lot, and I like that there are pearls like Marge wears.
32:40I think that that's really cute.
32:42Christopher.
32:43Christopher.
32:44So I wanted to keep Marge in a similar silhouette that she has, strapless, knee length.
32:49I wanted to do my take on like a 50s housewife remixed for Marge.
32:53It looks a little bit to me like a sarong, like a vacation Marge outfit.
32:58Was it always supposed to have a belt?
33:00I just feel like it's too dressy.
33:02Oh, it's much better without the belt.
33:03It's so much better without the belt.
33:04I can't even tell you.
33:05It's so much better without the belt.
33:06Sorry.
33:07It somehow doesn't look like I've seen it a hundred times now.
33:11Only about 50.
33:12I think there's some odd bubbling in the waist.
33:15I love the print, because when I read the assignment, I was thinking like, how do you
33:19update Marge for this animated show?
33:22And when I saw this, I was like, God, that's really fun.
33:24Thank you, Christopher.
33:26Elena.
33:27I also wanted to go for a more sleek and sophisticated shape, and I feel like with the jacket on
33:33it looks a little bit less dressy, and then she can take it off and look more dressy.
33:37Elena, this is fabulous.
33:39Marge Simpson would wear this in a second.
33:41She'd love this.
33:42But I will say that it's not exactly an ensemble.
33:45Take the jacket off, because it's so amazing, the jacket.
33:48But then, the dress on its own is so great.
33:51You cannot hide that dress.
33:53Yeah.
33:54It's great.
33:55Love the color.
33:56I get you in it, but also get Marge in the animation behind it.
33:59It would just pop.
34:00I personally don't love the jacket.
34:02However, I do think it's very Marge.
34:05Can I see the back of the jacket?
34:07It's amazing.
34:09You make me really excited about coming here.
34:12Thank you so much.
34:13Thank you, designers.
34:15You clearly had a lot of fun with our Simpsons challenge.
34:18So we have a lot to talk about, so we're going to discuss, and you guys can wait backstage.
34:23See you soon.
34:32We're back.
34:33Spill the beans.
34:34I'm getting too wrapped up in the challenges.
34:37I'm not being me.
34:38I really had a difficult time with this.
34:41You have to visualize it in a cartoon.
34:44Let's go through and talk about the designs that we really liked.
34:48Should we start with Irina?
34:49I liked the joy behind it and how it moved on the runway.
34:52I felt like it was a little bit dressy for date night.
34:55But I feel that it would animate very well.
34:57Underneath, it's really flirty and kind of fun.
35:00I felt like it was truly the most creative.
35:03I get Irina's totally, but I'm actually more for Kato's over Irina's.
35:10I don't know.
35:11It didn't really strike me as, like, Marge's date night.
35:14Marge is a colorful, fun kind of 40-year-old.
35:17If it were me, I would probably wear Kato's dress.
35:20I'd love to see you in Kato's dress, actually.
35:26Elena's dress was so amazing, but she showed it with that jacket, which was also amazing.
35:32It was like, God, no-brainer.
35:33Like, that's what I want to see Marge in on date night.
35:35Marge does live in Springfield.
35:36I don't know if Springfield's where, but it might be cold.
35:39She might need a jacket.
35:40I just love the dress, and I just think animation.
35:43I mean, it just pops.
35:46Let's move on to our lowest scores, Jeffrey.
35:50I don't know if it made me angry as much as sad, because I know he's so talented.
35:55There's a momentary loss of ability right now.
35:58You can tell me that that smart man doesn't know better.
36:01He's tortured.
36:02He's tortured by the banal.
36:03I just couldn't get past the shoes.
36:05It could have been a story point.
36:06They were so off for that dress.
36:11Let's move on to Christopher.
36:13His taste level eye question.
36:14That belt was really bad, but I really like that print.
36:18But all the fabric's in mood, though.
36:20You go to that one?
36:21I did like the pleats up top.
36:23It was that draping that was hard, the bubbling on the side.
36:29Seth Aaron?
36:30I just felt like there was an unfortunate lack of attention to construction and workmanship.
36:36That fabric with that belt made me really question Seth Aaron's taste level.
36:41Do you know?
36:42Yes.
36:43The back was pretty.
36:44Down the runway backwards.
36:45Yeah.
36:46The thing that I just hated was that she's just a 40-year-old housewife.
36:51I wanted to take him down.
36:55Based on this dress this week, do we have a decision?
36:58Yes, we do.
36:59Okay.
37:00So let's bring them back out.
37:07Designers, one of you created this week's winning date night dress.
37:11Which will be animated and worn by Marge Simpson in a future episode of The Simpsons.
37:17And one of you is out.
37:18Designers, one of you created this week's winning date night dress.
37:29Which will be animated and worn by Marge Simpson in a future episode of The Simpsons.
37:35Let's find out whose dress will be the talk of Springfield for many years to come.
37:41Kato, you are safe.
37:51Irina and Elena.
37:53One of you is about to add Marge Simpson to your list of clients.
37:58And that designer is...
38:08Irina.
38:09Yay!
38:10Thank you so much.
38:11Woohoo!
38:12I'm so honored.
38:14Congratulations.
38:15Well, well done.
38:16I finally got my first win and it was a great win.
38:19It's such a big deal and I just can't wait to see my dress on Marge Simpson.
38:24And well done, Elena.
38:25You girls rocked it today.
38:27We'll see you next week, too.
38:28Thanks, guys.
38:29Bye.
38:34Oh my God.
38:35Did you trap the door?
38:36Congratulations.
38:37Thanks.
38:38Bitch.
38:39I know.
38:40Bitch.
38:41That's awesome.
38:43It was beautiful.
38:45Christopher, Seth Aaron, and Jeffrey.
38:48One of you will be going home tonight.
38:53Christopher, you're safe.
38:55We'll see you again next week.
38:57Thank you, guys.
38:58You can leave the runway.
39:03Seth Aaron and Jeffrey.
39:05You're both season winners.
39:07But this week, one of you will be in and the other will be out.
39:13Seth Aaron, this week you had the opportunity to design for one of the most iconic characters
39:19in the world.
39:20But you delivered a dress that was uninspired and lazy.
39:25Jeffrey.
39:26An all-star should turn out consistently amazing designs.
39:31Being a tortured artist can sometimes lead to great work.
39:35But in your case, it's just dragging you down.
39:38Seth Aaron and Jeffrey.
39:40You're both worthy winners of your respected seasons.
39:43But this is all-stars.
39:45And only one of you can stay.
39:47The designer going home tonight is...
39:51Jeffrey.
40:06It's okay, bud.
40:07It's okay.
40:08I love you, too.
40:09Seth Aaron, you'll be back with us next week.
40:12Thanks.
40:13I respect this guy so much.
40:15And, uh, I guarantee you, you will not see another f***ing show out of me.
40:20Good work, bud.
40:25Jeffrey, we know that you will continue to do amazing things.
40:30Thank you so much.
40:32You're wonderful.
40:34Take care.
40:35Bye.
40:36Being on the bottom on Project Runway All-Stars is still like being on the bottom in the top.
40:44Don't!
40:45It's me.
40:46Are you serious?
40:47Yeah.
40:48I'd rather be called a tortured artist and I'd rather be called a true visionary than for
40:53someone to say, we've seen that dress a thousand times before.
40:55I did exactly what I came to do.
40:57And it's amazing.
40:58There's no negative part of this entire experience.
41:01My advice to any designer is work on finding who you are.
41:05That's the only thing you can do.
41:07So many people grew up with The Simpsons and they're in everyone's home.
41:15So it's a really huge deal.
41:17It's a big deal for sure to have a dress in The Simpsons, on Marge especially.
41:22This was the challenge worth waiting for to win.
41:28Next on Project Runway All-Stars.
41:31Who's up for an adventure?
41:32Yay!
41:34This is the coolest ever.
41:35Bam!
41:36I'm doing new techniques and it's not working out.
41:41Why is this ripping?
41:43Irina's dress.
41:44It just...
41:46What I'm seeing in here is not all-star quality.
