00:01Previously on Project Runway All Stars...
00:04You've all made it to the final challenge.
00:07I feel like this is my time.
00:08We want to see five different looks.
00:11You have four days.
00:13Uh-oh.
00:14Welcome to my world.
00:15The next four days are going to be very intense for you.
00:18Are these pants?
00:20He's such a .
00:22I need therapy.
00:23Hello, designers!
00:25We decided we wanted just one more look.
00:28All of our old fabric.
00:30And there's more.
00:31We've invited some familiar faces to join us back in the workroom.
00:35Look what the cat dragged in.
00:37I'm going to pick Mila.
00:39Princess Antoinette.
00:40I'm going to choose that silver fox we're still interested.
00:43So you say you don't like it?
00:45He said it looks like dead white lady.
00:48It looks like crap.
00:50How are you feeling about tomorrow?
00:52Oh, God, I want to win.
00:54This is all I've ever wanted, and it's so close.
00:57I know I have what it takes.
00:59I can't wait any longer.
01:00I want that prize.
01:0113 of the best designers from Project Runway are back.
01:06And this time, the competition is tougher than ever.
01:10Each week, their skills are tested to the limit as they compete for the biggest prize in runway history.
01:16Who will be cut, and who will have it all sewn up?
01:20This is Project Runway All-Stars.
01:25The winner of Project Runway All-Stars will sell their merchandise within an exclusive boutique at select Neiman Marcus stores and on Neiman Marcus dot com.
01:33The winner will also get a spread in Marie Claire Magazine in a position as guest editor for one year.
01:38$100,000 in technology and office space from HP and Intel.
01:42A sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International.
01:46And a cash prize of $100,000 courtesy of L'Oreal Paris.
01:55Morning of finale, and today is Judgment Day.
01:59That stink.
02:00Minutes away.
02:01Oh, my goodness.
02:02I'm, like, nervous.
02:03I'm going to think I'm going to throw up.
02:05I am a rock star.
02:07This is my chance to just, like, deliver my message about who Austin Scarlett is and just rock it like an all-star.
02:16I just get so excited to see all the models.
02:19I'm really confident with the way that everything looks.
02:22I feel really good about the collection, and there's nothing more that I can do to it.
02:26I'm done.
02:27I absolutely adore Michael, and he deserves to be here.
02:32And I know he wants it more than anybody, but I have wanted it so much.
02:36I deserve this.
02:37I feel like I deserve this.
02:39I've worked so hard.
02:41Does Liza and Allie know you went through her wardrobe, girl?
02:44Let's go do this.
02:45Well, may the best designer win.
02:49This is the big moment.
02:51It's now or never.
02:52Hi there.
02:53I am super, super excited about this.
02:56Oh.
02:57Wow.
02:58But, you know, there's still work to be done.
03:01I'm, like, getting a fashion orgasm right now.
03:07So we arrive at Gotham Hall for the finale, which is a glorious event space in the heart of Manhattan.
03:15This is a special location for the All-Stars, and it's definitely fitting for the All-Stars finale.
03:24Oh, gorgeous.
03:27Oh, heaven.
03:28Wow.
03:29This is beautiful.
03:30It's so beautiful that you feel so blessed to be in there.
03:41I have always imagined how wonderful and beautiful it would be to actually have a fashion show there, and here it is coming true.
03:48And not just any fashion show, the Project Runway All-Star finale.
03:53We made it, boys.
03:56Hug.
03:57If you visualize something and you're honest with yourself, it's that much more real.
04:05Let's go, like, get to work.
04:07So all I'm doing is focusing on visualizing myself on the runway and winning.
04:15Head backstage, each of us has our own dressing area with all of our Neiman Marcus accessories, our irons, our steamers.
04:29Last night, I got the work in that I wanted to get in, so I'm feeling good.
04:34It's just a matter of focusing and keeping on track.
04:37As soon as I throw my bag down, I immediately go for this red carpet dress, which still had a lot of work to be done.
04:45I feel like Austin might have bit off a little bit more than he can choose, so now he's choking.
04:54Don't with me now.
04:56So I'm frantic backstage, running, trying to get everything ready, but that's just the type of designer and person I am.
05:15Hi, how are you?
05:17Good to see you.
05:18So the models come in now.
05:20I'm excited.
05:21I want to do last minute fittings, make sure everything's good, because the night before,
05:25I made sure everything was fine.
05:29It's really tight.
05:32Really tight.
05:34And looser on this side.
05:35The sleeve is too tight.
05:37The other sleeve is a little bit loose.
05:41I'm like, oh my God, this zipper is terrible.
05:45Michael's kind of in a predicament.
05:46Yesterday, he felt like he was in such a good place, he was completely finished.
05:51But then today, things aren't fitting as well as he'd like them to.
05:58Good.
05:59All right.
06:00So look number one.
06:01I have these, they're supposed to be opaque tights, but they're not at all.
06:05I haven't decided if I want to send her down in, like, boy shorts, because it's kind of, like, see-through.
06:11Or if I want to take that risk, you know?
06:13Like, it's, I don't know.
06:15For me, it's kind of risky.
06:16I think we need to go ahead to makeup, so why don't we go to the land of Loyal.
06:37Secure my beauties.
06:38We know what to do.
06:39Rouge, cheeks.
06:40Sort of like a doll face.
06:41Good to see you.
06:42Good to see you.
06:43I want, like, a natural cheek and...
06:44Ruby.
06:45Ruby lip, yeah.
06:46Hey, Scott.
06:47I thought to do, like, a cat eye, some falsy lashes, and then just a little color on the cheek.
06:58That's gonna be all sweeping over the face.
06:59Really, like, sculpted, large, fat curls.
07:0070s kind of hair.
07:01The parts here, then brushed out, then sprayed.
07:02We're supposed to, like, uncandid a little bit.
07:03Society went in.
07:04Yeah.
07:05Shock therapy.
07:06All right, have fun, girls.
07:07Austin.
07:08Joanna.
07:09How's it going?
07:10I am creating right now.
07:11Why are you doing it?
07:12I'm creating right now.
07:13Why are you doing it?
07:14I'm creating right now.
07:15Why are you doing it?
07:16I'm doing it.
07:17I'm doing it.
07:18I'm doing it.
07:19I'm doing it.
07:20I'm doing it.
07:21I'm doing it.
07:22I'm doing it.
07:23I'm doing it.
07:24I'm doing it.
07:25I'm doing it.
07:26I'm creating right now.
07:27Why are you doing it now?
07:28Because I didn't have time to finish everything last night.
07:31Now she's done.
07:32I just need to, like, sash her.
07:34Okay, because I don't want this showing.
07:36What are these?
07:37Staples?
07:38These are pins.
07:39Okay, these are pins.
07:40But there's a...
07:41It's gonna have a sash.
07:42Okay, all right.
07:43You.
07:44I know, Joanna.
07:45It's crazy.
07:46I guess, really, the only thing I hope they don't notice are any pins on the red carpet dress.
07:49This thing is huge on you.
07:52It's six inches too big.
07:55This much bigger.
07:56I'm like, what the hell?
07:58I'm gonna have to redo the snap because it's, like, too huge.
08:01It needs to be, like, way smaller.
08:03I wasn't prepared for this.
08:05Yeah, what's the matter?
08:06I had to cut the lining out and readjust it six inches.
08:10We never really got a full fitting with Noelle.
08:13Right.
08:14So it was difficult.
08:15You know what?
08:16That's one of those things you're just gonna have to let go and let go.
08:18Yeah, but that was my little setback when I thought I was, like, so prepared.
08:21No matter how confident you are, you're always gonna have something go wrong before a runway show.
08:27Be prepared.
08:28Is this all done?
08:29Um, yeah.
08:30Everything is pretty much done.
08:32I'm just, you know, pressing everything, making it runway ready.
08:36Okay, good.
08:37Yep.
08:38What are you doing here?
08:39Um, I'm just deciding to add some, um...
08:41That's good.
08:42Do you need lint rollering?
08:43Is there anything in your back?
08:44I probably do.
08:45Oh, you do.
08:46You know what?
08:47Can I use this on your back?
08:48Yes, you can.
08:49We'll have a conversation while I'm doing this.
08:50I don't want you going out there with bits of fluff and cotton on your back.
08:52Being lint rolled down by Joanna Coles was never in my game plan.
08:57It's a little uncomfortable.
08:58It's like your aunt rolling you down.
09:01Where's the other model?
09:03Excuse me.
09:17Okay, can I just see everybody together really quick?
09:20Those last few minutes, it's not adrenaline.
09:23It's fear.
09:24You're working in fear.
09:25Time to start lining up.
09:26This is time.
09:27It's time for...
09:28Showtime.
09:31You're being dominant.
09:33Going up on Project Runway All Stars...
09:36...only three designers remain.
09:39And it all comes down to tonight.
09:50It's time to start lining up.
09:51It's time for...
09:52Showtime.
09:55Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to a very exciting night.
10:04Three months ago, 13 all-star designers returned to Project Runway to showcase their talents.
10:13Only three designers remain, and it all comes down to tonight.
10:18Let's meet the judges.
10:19First, the designer and co-founder of Marquesa, the beautiful Georgina Chapman.
10:30Next, one of the most famous names in fashion, Isaac Mizrahi.
10:40And we have the first of two guest judges.
10:44His fashion empire is one of the most internationally recognized brands around the world.
10:51He is a true American success story.
10:54Fashion icon, Tommy Hilfiger.
11:01And helping us make this major decision tonight is our final judge.
11:05He is the SVP and fashion director of Neiman Marcus, Ken Downing.
11:19Our designers were given just four days to put their collections together.
11:24So please give them a lot of support and enjoy the show.
11:28Here we go.
11:38Hello, everyone.
11:39Thank you for coming to view my collection.
11:42It's called Austin Scarlet, and it's a story of a vampire from the 18th century
11:48who has lived many hundreds of years and now resides in Williamsburg
11:54and occasionally borrows clothes from her Hasidic dandy friends.
11:59I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed creating it.
12:18It's really, it's great. It's really great. It's very emotional.
12:33I mean, this is your, this is your moment, sweetie. It really is.
12:36It looks amazing. I feel like I'm watching some gorgeous Paris haute couture.
12:53show. To me, it looks 200% high fashion. I love it.
13:14Oh my God.
13:23Let's go.
13:25You.
13:29If you are.
13:32You know.
13:34Get jeming out of it.
13:36Hey.
13:38Hey.
13:40Hey.
13:44Hey.
13:49Hey.
13:51Hey.
13:52Hey.
13:53I really, I mean, this is happy now.
14:09Like, I think it looks great.
14:23I think it's like an other, out-of-body experience.
14:35This is my life.
14:38This is who I am as an artist.
14:39This is everything I believe in.
14:42I feel like an all-star winner right now.
14:53Get up, get up, get up, get up.
14:59Hi, everybody.
15:00I'm Mondo, and my collection is called Therapy.
15:04It was really hard for me to find inspiration,
15:06and really struggling through these last few challenges,
15:09I needed some therapy.
15:10So I put all my passion into my work.
15:13I hope you enjoy it.
15:14Good night.
15:23That's such a strong opening look.
15:30I can just see my vision unfolding in front of my eyes
15:35and tell my story.
15:45This is amazing.
15:53This is such a flattering look for the model, too,
15:58which is so important,
15:59something some designers overlook.
16:10Oh, look.
16:10Now, there's Tommy Hilfiger, guest judge,
16:12and Ken Downing from Neiman Marcus, fashion director.
16:15They're looking inscrutable.
16:17I can't tell what they're thinking.
16:23I really try to play with new silhouettes,
16:31things that I don't really necessarily do, you know?
16:35Therapy.
16:36Yes, therapy.
16:37You're cured.
16:38I'm cured.
16:45Very high level of applause.
16:47Good.
16:47That's good.
16:53Good job, girl.
16:54Great job, girl.
16:55Good job, good job, good job.
16:56Great job, good job, good job.
17:17Hi, everybody.
17:18My name is Michael.
17:20My collection is inspired by the Serengeti,
17:22and I want to take you on a wonderful adventure.
17:26Enjoy the show.
17:35Well, that feels very luxurious and very comfortable.
17:37Yeah.
17:38Doesn't it?
17:39Yeah.
17:39Very flattering.
17:50That's a really nice little vest.
17:52I feel like those layering pieces are terribly useful,
17:55and they're bread and butter for designers.
17:58They really are.
18:00My heart's pounding because my collection
18:03is me stepping away from my comfort zone.
18:06I'm an evening wear designer at heart.
18:11I love these prints.
18:13They're fun, right?
18:14She also looks great.
18:21I love the flats with this.
18:25Those little shorts.
18:26I love your shorts.
18:27It's cute, right?
18:27This is my favorite piece,
18:39and it's separate,
18:40so it looks like it's one piece,
18:42and I just love it.
18:50Now, those in the know,
18:51this is the moment when they'll know it's you.
18:53Yep.
18:53The signature Michael dress.
18:55Signature Michael dress.
18:59It wouldn't be a Michael Costello collection
19:01without a drapey, beautiful, elegant, flowy dress.
19:05Yes, I'm trying to show you what I can do,
19:07but you still have to keep me in it.
19:09Lots of applause.
19:17All for you.
19:18That's good.
19:19Savor these moments.
19:31Well done.
19:32Well done.
19:35Hi, guys.
19:37Hi.
19:37It's nice to see them again
19:42and see how they've evolved,
19:45what they've been doing.
19:46I was pretty surprised
19:48what they can get out of four days,
19:49so if you give them four months,
19:50like an average designer gets,
19:52I think you have some great talent there.
19:57My highlight from the show
19:58was that amazing pantsuit
20:01that, like, walked down and walked back,
20:03but, like, the model was amazing,
20:05the pantsuit was amazing,
20:06and they nailed it, and I loved it.
20:09I'm really worried to see who the winner is,
20:11because I have one I'm rooting for.
20:13I love seeing the all-stars.
20:15I think it's so exciting to see
20:16the best of the best sort of outperform each other.
20:19It's still all rushing through my head.
20:23I don't think I've fully processed
20:26what has just happened.
20:28Just to be here and have the chance
20:29to show again on Project Runway is,
20:32it really is a dream come true,
20:34as much as I bitch and moan about it.
20:36I promised myself I wouldn't cry,
20:38but I'm just so good about everything.
20:40I just really do.
20:41I'm really happy at this time, really.
20:43I'm really happy.
20:59Austin, Michael, Mondo,
21:01you guys did an amazing job,
21:03and you just made our night much more difficult.
21:07Now, as you know,
21:08we're gonna critique all three of you,
21:10so Michael and Mondo,
21:12you can leave the runway and go to the designer's lounge.
21:14Okay, thank you.
21:17And, Austin, you can bring out your models.
21:20Girls.
21:26Austin, congratulations.
21:28I don't know how you put all these pieces together
21:31in such a short amount of time.
21:32I think that's masterful.
21:34I think you've got some really special pieces here.
21:36I think you've got some really good ideas.
21:39I think you did a really good job, Austin.
21:42Congratulations, man.
21:43I would not view that as a collection.
21:47I would view it as the best of someone's work
21:50over a number of years or something.
21:53I love the rock and roll statement,
21:56and I think if you do take the jumpsuit,
21:59the leatherette skirt,
22:00the lacquered lace,
22:02and even the first jacket,
22:04then you have sort of like a rock star feeling.
22:07But then you lose me when you show me a wedding gown
22:11that belongs in a different collection.
22:14Don't you love the wedding dress?
22:16I can see a million women
22:17actually wanting to get married in that dress.
22:19That, to me, was a really phenomenal piece.
22:21I question that ball gown,
22:23just how flattering it is.
22:25I think you need to be careful
22:26where you're adding volume
22:28and then where you're cinching in
22:30and the length isn't quite perfect.
22:32I adore the lacquered lace dress.
22:35Absolutely the lacquered lace.
22:37Which is the piece made with leftover fabric?
22:40It was...
22:40The sixth look.
22:41The jumpsuit.
22:42That was the jumpsuit?
22:43It's leatherette from the streetwear challenge.
22:46The pink's from the Miss Piggy challenge,
22:48and the black is from the Broadway challenge.
22:51What was so great about your collection
22:53was that it was such a woman coming out.
22:56I love that, too, and it's so glamorous,
22:58and you do have a youth to your glamour,
23:00which is so important.
23:01Thank you. We all thank you.
23:03And we'll bring out our next designer.
23:06Thank you all.
23:07Thanks.
23:08I think the judges love the collection.
23:11They love that I brought a definite youthfulness
23:15to a couture collection.
23:18And that really is a wonderful critique
23:19that is important to me.
23:24I'm done.
23:25I think you're up next, darling.
23:27All right.
23:28I can't even think at this point.
23:30Honestly, my every emotion, every thought
23:32is just racing through my mind
23:34like a crazy pinwheel, kaleidoscope.
23:45Hi, Mondo.
23:46Hi.
23:47Congratulations, Mondo.
23:48Thank you for having me.
23:49I mean, as always, you are so masterful
23:51with your use of print and your use of colour
23:53and your graphics.
23:56Of the three collections we saw,
23:57I think this is definitely the most cohesive
24:00in the wit of it,
24:02in the mixing of the fabrics together.
24:04The first outfit was a wow.
24:07The second she walked on the runway,
24:09I thought, this designer really, really gets it.
24:12Dress number two.
24:13I just think you have too much detail
24:15on that particular dress.
24:16I have to tell you,
24:17I am absolutely taken back by the Rorschach print.
24:20The fact that you created it,
24:22it looks so professional.
24:24It looks like it came from a fabric house.
24:26I love this pant.
24:27I think that the pockets are a bit too large.
24:30Okay.
24:31I think smaller would be more appealing.
24:34The dress at the end, I think, is so beautiful.
24:36That textile is beautiful.
24:37I'm mad for the appliques.
24:39I'm personally not crazy about the lame.
24:41I feel like this dress doesn't fit
24:43into the rest of the collection.
24:44Is that your leftover fabric, the last one?
24:47No, no, no, no.
24:48Oh, that wasn't.
24:49This one is.
24:50This is Annette Lepore.
24:51I got some from the light challenge
24:53and I got some from the flags.
24:55I love your attention to detail
24:56and you thought throughout each piece of it
24:59in the best way that you had in a short period of time.
25:03Did a great job.
25:04Thank you, Mondo, for sharing your collection.
25:06Alrighty.
25:07You can go back to the designer's lounge
25:09and we will speak to you soon.
25:10Thanks.
25:11Bye, guys.
25:12Bye.
25:13And gals.
25:13I think it's really cool that the judges
25:15all pick something different that they like.
25:17That means as a collection, it makes sense.
25:19Michael?
25:20This is the big moment.
25:22I'm excited to get it done.
25:24It's been a long, long process.
25:34Michael, congratulations.
25:36Georgina, what did you think of the collection?
25:38It's exceptional.
25:40It really is.
25:41I think these clothes, you've made them so well.
25:45I think you could put these in the stores tomorrow.
25:47And sell them.
25:48There's a cohesive attitude to the collection.
25:51It's not all the same print.
25:53And I like how they kind of play off one another.
25:55I understand why you're using all the prints
25:57because of the African theme.
25:59But you have to be very careful when you're buying a print
26:01because it looks a little too commercial.
26:04For this particular challenge,
26:07you know, it's supposed to be like this fabulous,
26:08like, fantasy thing.
26:10And you went to this place with the Serengeti.
26:12You know, and we get that with the prints.
26:14And for me, some of it looks like you mixed it
26:16in not the most interesting way.
26:18Do you know what I mean?
26:19I love the second dress
26:20because I like that whole building of the bra cup.
26:23I like all that piecing.
26:24I like how there's a little bit of a warrior princess
26:27and the way that dress is cut.
26:28I think this dress is also great
26:30if you take the vest off.
26:32This is the sixth look.
26:33I don't know if you recognize the fabrics.
26:35The dress is from the Greek flag challenge that we had.
26:39The patent leather belt is from the Miss Piggy challenge.
26:42The elastic is from the face-off challenge.
26:45And then the light challenge that we have with Pharrell
26:47as the judge is what the vest is made from.
26:49The thing that you do again and again,
26:51which is so wonderful,
26:52is that you do this kind of thing that exalts like flesh.
26:56I always feel the flesh in the clothes,
26:58which is, to me, the greatest thing in the world.
27:00But you have to be careful
27:02because that can go very inexpensive feeling.
27:06I think that there's a big clientele
27:08for that kind of sex appeal.
27:11But I feel also a sophistication in there.
27:14Also, you know where you've been so great here, Michael,
27:16is this white Grecian dress.
27:19It's gorgeous.
27:20It's sensual.
27:21And yet it's not overtly sexy.
27:23You really got the balance there.
27:25And I really congratulate you for that.
27:27It was just divine.
27:28Well, thank you, Michael.
27:30You did a wonderful job.
27:31Thank you, guys.
27:32You can go back to the designer's lounge
27:34and we'll see you soon.
27:36I felt like it was a really positive critique.
27:38This is the main guy for Neiman Marcus.
27:41And this is Tommy Hilfiger
27:42talking about how my pieces can sell.
27:45This is great.
27:47Congratulations, gentlemen.
27:49May the force be with you.
27:52And also with you.
27:53Also with you.
27:55Well, guys, what an impressive evening.
27:58I mean, I was really blown away by these collections.
28:01To do this in four days, I mean, it's amazing.
28:04Shall we start with Austin?
28:05He's one of the more talented ones
28:07in that he can think big, long, epic thoughts.
28:11I agree with you.
28:12I think Austin, out of all of them,
28:14is probably the most artistic.
28:16He is an ideas machine.
28:17And that's what makes him so wonderful.
28:20And you get carried away in his dream.
28:22There was a lot of messages in that collection.
28:25I wish he could have zeroed in on only a couple of ideas.
28:28If you were to decipher what he showed,
28:31you could probably pick out a couple of rock and roll pieces,
28:35more current,
28:36and then a couple of pieces that may have looked more period.
28:40I thought the last dress was phenomenal.
28:43I just don't think it fit into the collection.
28:46The lacquered lace dress was phenomenal.
28:48That was cool.
28:48Well, one of the best pieces that came down the runway.
28:51He has a really good eye.
28:53I think that final dress was beautiful.
28:55And I'm sure you could sell a lot of those in bridal.
28:58Oh, absolutely.
28:58You know, I think that something he does bring is a femininity.
29:02And I think that is something that women
29:03who are going to buy his kind of clothes are looking for.
29:06Could Austin pull off an exclusive boutique at Neiman Marcus?
29:11Yes.
29:11Yes.
29:12I think that if Austin got his hands on a really good stylist,
29:16there's no telling how far he could go.
29:18The main thing was they thought it was, like, too full of ideas.
29:22I just wanted to make it as powerful as possible.
29:26Of course, it's insanely nerve-wracking,
29:29but there's a sort of eerie sense of calm,
29:33I feel, that has come over the three of us.
29:38You know what?
29:39The thing about it, Austin, is that you've done the work.
29:42You shouldn't regret anything.
29:43I don't.
29:44I respect the judge's opinion,
29:46but I have to do what I need to do as an artist.
29:49And I know that there's women out there
29:51who would love to wear all of those things,
29:54so I'm happy.
29:56So let's move on to Mondo.
29:58I was amazed at the workmanship with all the detail.
30:02I love the fact that he carried the dots all the way through.
30:06He is a master at mixing fabrics and mixing ideas, Mondo.
30:10He can take a bunch of fabrics
30:12and create his own textile out of it,
30:15which is what I love about him.
30:17Well, it's 60s meets 80s, I think.
30:20It's very modern.
30:21I think it's younger.
30:22And I think that even with the LeMay dress at the end,
30:25which was a totally different palette,
30:27I thought it was very consistent.
30:29What he does with fabrics really is smart
30:32and shows wit in the craft of making clothes.
30:36Sometimes restraint, I think,
30:38is probably the best quality for a great fashion designer.
30:41And when he's restrained,
30:43I actually think there's some really strong pieces.
30:46But when it gets too applied,
30:49it starts to lose its way.
30:50The buttons that sometimes feel a little too big,
30:53the pockets, which I felt were cartoonish on the pant.
30:57I felt like I saw more of Mondo the last 12 weeks
31:02than I did tonight.
31:04I felt like it fell short of what he's actually capable of.
31:08I think Mondo has had such a strong point of view
31:12throughout this competition.
31:13And I think tonight, he did an incredible job.
31:16I think we expect a lot from Mondo.
31:18And I think he set his own bar very, very high.
31:21I saw him as a true artist with a lot of passion.
31:24And I think, again, with the right focus,
31:28muse, stylist, direction, he would be great.
31:31Can you tell me how your critique went?
31:33It went really well.
31:34I'm feeling good.
31:35I don't feel like I have to talk about it anymore.
31:38This is my final collection.
31:39I have to own not only who I am,
31:41but what I provide, which is my art.
31:45I feel good.
31:46I mean, I'm happy with what I showed.
31:49At the end of the day, that's the most important thing.
31:52So let's talk about Michael.
31:54I think that it was more commercial,
31:57but it was very cohesive.
32:00You looked at the whole collection, and you got it.
32:02The fact that Michael's collection
32:03was a little bit more relaxed of shape,
32:06and it was all jersey,
32:07when the other designers were looking at leather red
32:09and lacquered laces and tweeds,
32:12it certainly stood out.
32:14Those clothes did not come together
32:15in a sophisticated way enough for me.
32:17I mean, there was one print that was okay,
32:20and five prints.
32:21Do you know what I mean?
32:22But I think, you know,
32:23Michael is a masterful draper.
32:26We have seen this throughout all the weeks.
32:28He really does make clothes well.
32:30That's why they look like they could have...
32:32Many of them could have gone to the store tomorrow.
32:34Yes.
32:34I could see those clothes going into the store
32:37and out the door.
32:39I don't think I'm nervous.
32:40I think it's more like...
32:43Anxious?
32:43Yeah, anxious.
32:44My heart's pounding
32:45because I have this feeling that it is me
32:49because I feel like I've shown them
32:51looks that can be sellable,
32:53looks that are wearable,
32:54and that's part of what fashion is.
32:56I want to know.
32:57I want to get it done.
32:59I want to know where I stand.
33:01You kind of have to ask yourself,
33:03do you go for someone
33:04who's got too many ideas
33:06coming together all over the place
33:07or someone who was at a loss for ideas
33:10and from their loss of ideas,
33:11something emerged?
33:13And someone who had such a straight idea
33:16of where they were headed,
33:17it almost lost its excitement along the way.
33:22They're all so different,
33:23but whose dream do we buy?
33:26And are we basing this just on tonight
33:28or as an overall aspect of a designer?
33:31Because that's where this decision is so hard.
33:33They're all capable.
33:35I'm going to start the bidding.
33:36I narrow it down
33:37to the thing that I relate to the most,
33:39and I agree with all of you.
33:41Like, there wasn't one perfect collection.
33:43That is why I think the consistency
33:45and the cohesiveness of the collection
33:48has to be paramount,
33:50and I think Michael did that.
33:52Michael, tonight,
33:54I think he had too much of a commercial head on.
33:57I didn't see ideas.
33:58I didn't see a fantasy and a dream.
34:01But if you go into a store
34:02and you see a section of a store
34:03and you see clothes in a section
34:06and they look like they all belong there,
34:08you get it.
34:08Otherwise, it looks very disparate.
34:11Who can take all their ideas
34:13and translate them to something
34:15that would be successful at retail?
34:17But that's exactly the point.
34:18Ideas.
34:19Who has the best ideas?
34:23Yes, more than anything in the world,
34:25I want that prize.
34:27I need that prize.
34:29Yeah.
34:29But I have, like, a very happy glow
34:32just being satisfied in my heart
34:35with what I did.
34:36We're just all so relieved to be finished.
34:38There's nothing I can do
34:39but just sit and await the verdict.
34:44At this point,
34:45I am so done with the bad
34:48that I'm just going to be good right now.
34:52So we've all made our decision.
34:55Yes.
34:56Then let's bring out the designers.
34:59Hey, guys, let's go do this.
35:10Austin, Michael, and Mondo.

35:29Miss Piggy, the opera, and Broadway.
35:33And you even persuaded people to trade with you
35:36the clothes off their backs.
35:39But now it's down to business.
35:43One of you will win the biggest prize
35:46in Project Runway history.

37:59Well done.
38:00I do feel really hurt at this point,
38:03but this experience
38:05has definitely changed my life.
38:07It opens up my eyes
38:09to be more creative,
38:11think outside of the box.
38:13I do it again in a heartbeat.
38:14I'm looking in my hand,
38:16and I'm walking away
38:17with two tickets to Paris.
38:20I'm going to Paris.
38:21And now the moment we've all been waiting for.

38:50and use it to create work.

39:01The winner of Project Runway All-Stars is...
39:05Mondo!
39:17Congratulations, Mondo.

39:28but you're out.
39:29You did an amazing job.
39:31Congratulations.
39:33Here are your tickets to Paris.
39:36This is a wonderful constellation.
39:38Thank you, Austin.
39:40You can leave the runway.
39:43Project Runway All-Stars
39:44has been an incredible gift.
39:49Of course, I believe that I should have won.
39:51I believe that I've shown
39:52that I have everything that it takes
39:54to be the star of stars.
39:58Farewell.
40:02I can't believe it.
40:05Whoa.
40:11Being on Project Runway All-Stars
40:12has been the hardest thing I've done.
40:14I thought Project Runway Season 8 was hard,
40:17but this was leaps and bounds,
40:19like, beyond difficult.
40:21You're a brilliant designer.
40:23And you create beautiful clothes,
40:25and I'm so excited.
40:27We're not going to have a chance to buy them.
40:29I'm very excited for you.
40:31Congratulations.

41:09Fantastic.
41:10There, darling.
41:12I came here with such confidence
41:14and an understanding of who I was.
41:17At least I thought I did.
41:18But being put in these challenges
41:20amongst such a talented group of designers
41:23has made me realize that I can't take this for granted.
41:27I can't take what I have been given my art for granted.
41:32And that I have to celebrate that
41:34or it can be lost very easily.
41:37I really deserve it.
41:38I really do.
41:39I really do.
41:40I really deserve it.
41:42I love you so much.
41:43I love you too.
