00:00Good morning, Ty Law.
00:03Good morning, guys.
00:03What's going on?
00:04How you doing?
00:07Great.
00:07I'm great.
00:07I'm here on the West Coast still.
00:10It's 5 o'clock in the morning.
00:11I'm sitting in the car this time.
00:12I done seen a couple of dogs out here, so I ain't going to walk today.
00:15Well, last time it was coyotes, if I remember correctly, and now it's the dogs.
00:18Yeah, yeah.
00:19But I seen a couple of dogs, so I said, I'm going to stay in this car.
00:22What's your – when you bring up the walk, what's your step count?
00:27What do you try to get?
00:2710,000 a day?
00:30Yeah, absolutely.
00:31I walk – I go by miles.
00:33I don't know how many steps that is, but I try to walk five miles.
00:36Five miles?
00:37Not bad.
00:38It's just some in and out afterwards.
00:39It's West Coast, homie.
00:42Well –
00:43Hey, man, hey, I'm just glad I was proven wrong, guys.
00:46Really, I am so glad I was proven wrong.
00:48And I don't want to go every week.
00:50I said, look, I want to be wrong, but I had to pick the bills.
00:55They must have heard me because they went out there and played some damn good balls,
00:59so I'm glad that I was wrong.
01:01And I'm like, damn, do I supposed to say that every week so we can win every game?
01:04Yeah.
01:05I mean, are you – where are you on Drake May?
01:08Are you relieved with that performance?
01:11Yeah, I'm relieved, but at the same time, the turnovers.
01:15I know the one interception, that wasn't his fault.
01:18You know what I mean?
01:19It wasn't a great – it wasn't a great pass.
01:21Romeo Dobbs tried to get it, but unfortunately it tipped up the other hands.
01:25But the turnovers is still a problem.
01:27I mean, they seem to fall.
01:29You know how it is, Wiggy, when you – it's like once you start getting the interception
01:33as a defensive back, they just keep coming.
01:35You keep throwing them, they keep coming.
01:38You got to get that monkey off your back somehow, some way, and then, you know, the fumble.
01:43So Drake May, he had to play better, but he took that team when it counted,
01:49and he stepped up.
01:51No Christian Barmore, no Christian Gonzalez, and you still go out there
01:54and beat the Buffalo Bills in their house?
01:56I mean, you got to take your hat off to those guys.
01:58Ty, when you see that they were able to hold Josh Allen to just four rushing yards,
02:02what does that tell you about what the ceiling – sorry, that this defense has?
02:08Stutter.
02:09I mean, that's big time.
02:10I mean, especially when you get, you know, two of your dogs back,
02:13and to go in there and win a big game, a division game.
02:16So that's a lot of confidence for the team saying that we are a team.
02:20That's what it's letting everyone know in that locker room is a next man up.
02:26You know, we're not dependent on the names, the big names,
02:29the big paycheck guys to win football games.
02:32So, I mean, I love it.
02:33And, man, that was awesome.
02:35His whole name – his new name is – was it Effin?
02:39Sorry, I said fuck him, didn't I?
02:40Yeah, I would expect that from you.
02:43Yeah, well, Effin Chisholm, hey, shout out to you, CJ, Gardner, Johnson.
02:48You shut the hell up.
02:50Effin Chisholm, his new name from now on, you know, jumped in your ass as a –
02:55hey, you want to talk to him like he's nothing.
02:57He's on the NFL roster, and you got beat by a practice squad guy.
03:02You want to give him disrespect out there.
03:04So, CJ – man, it's that damn name too long to even mention.
03:09But so you was on the practice squad before from what I'm hearing,
03:12from what I'm understanding.
03:12So you need to shut the hell up and give him his props.
03:16That's just straight hating, man.
03:17I don't like to do that.
03:18So, you know, Effin Chisholm for now on.
03:20Hey, keep on doing the same thing, man.
03:23That's awesome.
03:24That's awesome, man.
03:25So I don't like his comments.
03:27It'll be interesting end of the season when these two meet again
03:30because he said what he said, and then we got to see the video of the Patriots
03:36coming off that field and MFing the new stadium and MFing everybody,
03:43and I'm sure they have seen that as well.
03:46So it sets up pretty well rivalry-wise when it comes to these two teams.
03:51Yeah, and then he'll be here in New England too when they meet again.
03:55Ty, talk a little bit, like, because we talked to Vrabel,
03:58and he talked about, like, how Josh Allen, you know, his off-script plays make him so dangerous.
04:04Talk about what it's like to defend a guy that has the ability to be able to make plays
04:11with his legs and his arms.
04:13I don't know who you would say that, like, when you play, like,
04:16all right, we got to make sure we keep this guy in the pocket
04:19because if he can get outside the pocket, he's dangerous throwing on the run
04:24or he's just dangerous picking plays up with his legs.
04:27Well, the original running quarterback who was the fastest ever, Michael Vick,
04:34we ain't never seen nothing like that before when we went down there to Atlanta.
04:38So that's a different ball game.
04:40You have to cover longer when you got guys like that.
04:43I remember even a guy like that can run the ball is a Randall Cunningham.
04:48I'm just showing my age right now.
04:49But those guys, you know, you going into the game, you had to cover longer.
04:53Michael Vick, we ain't never seen nothing like that before.
04:56Shout out to Josh Allen and all the good things that he's doing,
05:00but dammit, he wasn't no Michael Vick when it comes to running that ball.
05:05But you got to be in shape that game, bro, because you're going to be covering.
05:08You know, normally it's a timing thing.
05:10You know, three to five seconds, the ball is out.
05:13It's at the longest.
05:14With those guys, no, that play can go on forever.
05:17So, I mean, you got to be in damn good shape, I tell you that.
05:20And I don't like it.
05:21I would rather give me Peyton Manning any day of the week.
05:25That's two back-to-back games for Josh Allen that he does not look so great,
05:30which has not happened to him much.
05:33Well, yeah, and then Vrabel talked about if you can keep him,
05:36if he does have to roll out because he's a right-handed quarterback,
05:40if you can make him roll to his left, now, you know, he can still beat you at his legs,
05:45but he's not going to be as good as a thrower no more.
05:49And, you know, the Patriots, and they do it well.
05:51Ty will tell you.
05:52I mean, it's always that you guys did it with the Colts.
05:55Like, when you know a certain guy, you know how to defend that guy.
05:58And I think the Patriots do a good job, especially against Josh Allen.
06:04Yeah, they do a good job against him.
06:06But I think one of Josh Allen's, I don't know what you would call it.
06:12It's not a weakness, but it's an extra confidence that he has in himself and in his arm.
06:18And he'll try to stick it in there, kind of like Brett Favre at times,
06:21that he's going to throw it.
06:22He has that much belief in himself that he can make this play and it sometimes costs him.
06:29So I think, you know, the Patriots tend to take advantage of that.
06:32You know, a lot of times when quarterbacks, you know, they're that guy and they believe it.
06:38And they're going to make some plays and make you go, woo.
06:40And then they're going to make some plays because of that belief and make you like,
06:44what the hell is that?
06:45And I think that's what Josh Allen, he falls in that category at times where,
06:49you know, he's going to trust his arm so much that he's going to get himself in trouble.
06:55By the way, what is going on with your Wolverines?
07:00Don't even get me started, man.
07:02I'm like, damn.
07:03I mean, you got the guy, you know, from Utah and had all this great track record
07:08and changing the program around.
07:10I don't know what's going on.
07:12And, you know, you want to root for Bryce Underwood.
07:15You really want to root for the kid.
07:16I mean, hell, you know, if you play well, guess what?
07:19Somebody else can come and get $4 million a year in college.
07:22I mean, great for college athletics.
07:25But when you go play like that, I mean, damn.
07:28Come on, man.
07:301971, 77?
07:32What was it, 1971 or 77, the last time Minnesota beat Michigan?
07:37God.
07:37Man, I mean, like, man, losing to Minnesota, I was like, man,
07:42that's the game you schedule for the damn homecoming.
07:45You know, when I play, you put them as the homecoming team, you know,
07:49because you know you're going to win.
07:50You know, everybody have a good time after the game.
07:53You know what I mean?
07:54So, Bears is up there.
07:56Bears, man, you got to make some calls, man.
07:58If you're the GM, the president of Bears, what you going to do, man?
08:02We blaming Bears' ass, too.
08:05Ty, what do you think about the Patriots possibly bringing in Tyreek Hill?
08:11Is that for real?
08:13It's just being rumored about.
08:15I mean, he's a free agent.
08:16Drew Rosenhaus said he's going to sign with the team shortly.
08:19Tyreek Hill posted on X recently that he's ready for cold weather.
08:23With the injuries, the Patriots have sustained at the position.
08:26And A.J. Brown being out, a lot of people have talked about potential matchup marriage here with Tyreek Hill.
08:33Now, if you can get a 75% Tyreek Hill and with A.J. Brown and the supporting cast, I'm
08:43all for it.
08:44I'm all for it.
08:44Hell, get out of Miami and all the other extracurricular, you know, stuff that we've heard about going on.
08:52Maybe a change of scenery like that, you know, will be great to come up in New England.
08:56But I would welcome that with open arms if he's healthy and can play.
09:00You know what I mean?
09:01I mean, that was a pretty gruesome knee injury.
09:03So, you know, hopefully he's able to come back.
09:05But his speed and his athleticism, his quickness, the way he opens up everything was so great that just his
09:12presence on the field.
09:13Just give us 75% of that, especially with the weapons that we already have.
09:18Him and A.J. Brown, oh, my God.
09:21Hey, we're going back to the Super Bowl.
09:23But if he can play and if he's healthy, I would love to see Tyreek Hill here at the Patriots.
09:29And we're going to keep him in line, too.
09:32Kind of a shot there.
09:33Are you saying that there are no legit extracurriculars here in the New England region?
09:39There's a whole lot of extracurricular activities out there, especially when you're drinking Corvus vodka.
09:45There it is.
09:46There's the S-bomb.
09:47And another $100 for the Greg Hill Foundation in the square jar.
09:52Yes.
09:53Yeah, absolutely.
09:54But that is a great – that will be a great move if you can get him at the right
09:58price.
09:59You know, Tyreek Hill ain't coming cheap, though.
10:01Do we got any money left over there?
10:02Yeah, we got some money.
10:03And he looks good, too.
10:04He's working out.
10:05He looked like he's still – I mean, he was a 4'2 guy.
10:08So, if he's 4'4", he still can fly.
10:11That's what I'm saying.
10:12You want it.
10:13But, you know, everybody look good in shorts.
10:16You know that.
10:16But I'm just talking about his speed, though, right?
10:19That's the thing with, like, it's not like he has to be a physical player.
10:22Like, does he still have that speed and that quickness?
10:24And just – I get it.
10:26It's only in shorts.
10:27But he still looks like he has it in shorts.
10:29So, I would – you know, I would – hey, listen, I'd take a flyer on him.
10:33No, I'll take a flyer on him if the price was right and he passed the physical.
10:37I mean, you've got to do that because, you know, just his presence on the field is going to open
10:42it up for everything else, man.
10:44But you've got to get it for the – you've got to get him for the right price.
10:47But, you know, because he's used to making that upper echelon type of money.
10:51And Tyreek Hill – and if he is anything close to Tyreek Hill, he's going to want that upper echelon,
10:56you know, type of money.
10:58So, a one-year flyer just to prove that he can play, you know, take advantage of it.
11:02Absolutely.
11:03Well, he has a lot of dependents.
11:07A few kids.
11:08Yeah, you're damn right.
11:09That's why he wants upper echelon money.
11:13All right.
11:15Question of the week for Ty Law is brought to you by 110 Grill, gluten-free dining done right.
11:21And so, you picked against them last week.
11:24Who are you picking, Sunday Pats or Raiders?
11:29Oh, man.
11:33We're about to whoop Tom to mass.
11:35You know what I mean?
11:35I'm not even going to sit there and mess with him right now.
11:38I mean, Kirk Cousins, you know, they lost the game.
11:41They're playing good ball.
11:42But I got the Patriots winning this one at home.
11:46You know, all the boys are going to be back.
11:48You know what I mean?
11:49We know for the anniversary and all that good stuff.
11:52I mean, we about to have us at a good time.
11:54So, I got Patriots winning this game.
11:5721, you know, not a very high-scoring game.
12:0121-14 Patriots.
12:03But we're going to have a damn good time.
12:05Because I'm telling you, it's the 25th anniversary, man.
12:07So, the first Super Bowl.
12:09This is where it all started.
12:10What's going on with that?
12:11Are you guys all going there for ceremonies and stuff?
12:15Yeah, a bunch of events like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
12:18Okay.
12:18So, like everybody coming back?
12:21All the 2001 names?
12:24There's a group chat.
12:25There's a lot of guys coming back.
12:27So, I don't know the exact number.
12:28Okay.
12:29But there's a group chat.
12:30You know how it is, Wiggy.
12:31We're going to have a good bunch of guys come back.
12:35But, you know, it's going to be some no-shows, as usual.
12:38I mean, we get it.
12:39People are, you know, married kids, lifing.
12:42You know what I mean?
12:43But I hope to see a lot of the guys back.
12:45From what I'm here, I think we already got like 40 guys signed up.
12:4940, 45 guys that's going to be coming.
12:51That's confirmed.
12:52So, that's going to be a pretty good turnout.
12:54Let me ask you a question about the group chat.
12:56Does Wiggy frequently text things that somebody else has already texted two hours before
13:02because he wasn't paying attention, like our group chat?
13:04No, you know what, right?
13:06Hey, I ain't part of the group chat.
13:08I guess I ain't on the-
13:09No, you win it.
13:10Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
13:12There's the-
13:12Wiggy started his own group chat without a tie-la.
13:15There's one that they started on-
13:16Yeah, that's messed up, Wiggy.
13:18No, no.
13:18There's one they started kind of like a WhatsApp group chat, and then there's the one-
13:23Yeah, why does it need to be on WhatsApp?
13:24Oh, that's how they set it up, and then there's the group chat that-
13:27You want the messages to disappear or something?
13:29No, then there's the group chat that I'm actually in with, Ty, that we respond to all the time.
13:34Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
13:36That's a little smaller group right there, but I'm going to be honest with you.
13:42Now, I was part of one of them Patriot group chats before.
13:45It was like 25 people on there, man.
13:48I mean, every time somebody responds, my shit buzzed, man.
13:52I'm not even in this one, man.
13:54Yeah, it's-
13:55I don't want to hear that, man.
13:55I had to cut it off.
13:57Yeah, I don't know.
13:57You don't like your S.
13:58You don't like your S buzzing.
13:59Everybody don't got to call-
14:00Everybody don't got to send a thumb up or a heart.
14:03Yeah, it is.
14:04Yeah, that, because then it just keep on going.
14:06And just some guys-
14:07I ain't going to say no name.
14:09Some guys just don't know how to stop.
14:11I mean, we thought it was over, though.
14:13I mean, quit starting this shit back up, man.
14:15Okay.
14:16Ty, that's like three of them.
14:18Hold on to chime.
14:19You able to-
14:19Oh, hey, Greg Hill Foundation, we're going to get a lot of money this year.
14:23Hey, I hesitate whether I should ask this or not, but I'm going to ask it anyway.
14:29I don't-
14:30We've fallen victim to this before, but Curtis has been talking about this book that's out
14:35about Tom Brady, and some that are close to him say that he would like to give it one more
14:41go
14:42at the age of 50, win himself a number eight when it comes to rings.
14:47How do you think Tom Brady would do should he return to the NFL?
14:52I mean, I think it would be damn entertaining to watch his comeback and see Tom Brady back
15:01out there on the field again.
15:02But when you have him play football, I mean, hell, he's up for the- going into the Hall
15:07of Fame after next year.
15:09He's eligible.
15:09So that's going to be five years.
15:11You know what I mean?
15:12And I don't care who you are at that age.
15:14It's going to be tough.
15:15But if anybody can pull it off, it's going to be Tom, but it would have to be the absolute
15:20perfect situation.
15:21He ain't got no faster, not that he was a runner anyway.
15:25I mean, you're not taking tackles.
15:27You're still getting sacked.
15:28You haven't been hit.
15:29So I don't know what that'll look like, but I think leading a team, his presence in a locker
15:35room will be a big boost.
15:37But damn it, you better protect him because he can't- I mean, he's not a mover and a shaker
15:42like that in the first place.
15:43But I would love to see it, and if anybody can do it, it'd be Tom Brady.
15:47But I don't think that'll happen.
15:48It's just all, you know, speculation, rumor.
15:51I mean, what situation-
