00:00I brought the swear jar in case y'all want to participate.
00:02As you can see, I already got a couple dollars in there.
00:06But you ready, Sean?
00:07Well, hold on.
00:09Ty, is it still $100, or have we adjusted for inflation?
00:13Oh, I can do the $100.
00:15I mean, everybody else can participate.
00:17You know, we take $20.
00:19I mean, I think $20 is a minimum.
00:19Yeah, I see some $10 bills in there.
00:21Yeah, yeah, man.
00:21We got some $10 in there.
00:22Yeah, okay.
00:23But, I mean, it was a bad weekend for me overall.
00:26I'm going to say my high school loss, which we don't lose now, Quipper.
00:29But Michigan lost, and now my Patriots lost.
00:31Man, so all of my damn teams lost.
00:33You know what I mean?
00:33You have played in a lot of games for the New England Patriots.
00:38You have watched a lot of games with the New England Patriots.
00:42Where would you rank that game on Sunday when it comes to worst games
00:45that you've seen them play?
00:48Hey, Sean, let's do this countdown on me.
00:52I'm ready.
00:55One, two, three.
00:58That was built to ask when you go out there and play like that.
01:02That was one of the worst games that I've ever seen in my damn life
01:04when you come from a Patriots team, especially a Mike Vrabel coach team
01:10or Bill Belichick coach team.
01:12Those guys come from the same cloth.
01:14I mean, I know Mike is not going to lose the locker room,
01:18but it's very disappointing when you see him put a performance like that.
01:22It's not all Drake, man.
01:23You have some guys that are shining like Christian Gonzalez.
01:27He's shining.
01:28Carl Davis, you've got to step up because the ball is going to come at you.
01:30You're going to have opportunities, but you're going to have to step up
01:33and understand that 80% of the passes are going to be thrown to your side.
01:38So, Drake May, I don't know what to say.
01:40I mean, I'm flabbergasted.
01:42For those who missed it during the dump-out, the FCC mandated dump-out,
01:47you said it's BS, BS game, MBS.
01:51What percentage, if you don't put it all on Drake May,
01:53what percentage do you put on Drake May?
01:56Oh, he's getting over half because he's got to make better decisions.
02:00He's got to make better decisions.
02:01But I also say as a receiver sometime, Dobbs, where are y'all at?
02:07You know, I'm mad because he makes some plays,
02:09but y'all got to make some damn plays and get open because I think he's
02:12trying to force his way into making plays because he's throwing in the team
02:17meetings half the damn time.
02:19He's throwing in the team meetings half the time.
02:21I don't know who he's throwing to.
02:22I don't know who he's throwing to.
02:24So, those guys got to get open and still, he's still a young quarterback,
02:27but the expectations are so high because he played so well last year.
02:30I think Wiggy would disagree.
02:32He would put almost all of it on Drake May.
02:35Yeah, I got 80% on him.
02:37Almost all of it on Drake May.
02:37Yeah, you know what?
02:38But, because I look at it like this.
02:40Go ahead, Courtney.
02:41Well, no, because I was going to say Wiggy was telling us,
02:43like, the rest of the team, they can't trust him.
02:46So, if they can't trust him, then they start screwing up.
02:48It's like a domino effect.
02:49So, I mean, 90% plus, give him 99% of the blame.
02:54And if it's mental, like, how do you fix that?
02:57He got to fix it.
02:58No, he got to fix it.
03:00He got to find it within himself.
03:02I don't know what he got to do.
03:04I don't know what that day of retreat Aaron Rodgers and when he did.
03:07I don't know what that was out in the woods or the wilderness.
03:10But I think, yeah, exactly.
03:11I don't know what the hell that is.
03:13You should go sit in a dark room.
03:15Yeah, but, you know, I guess people stay at work, whatever it is, whatever the hell they're drinking over there.
03:19But I just think Mike Vrabel and his quarterback need to be on the same page, too.
03:25You know, they can't let the media divide, you know, the locker room because, you know, Mike is going to
03:33be Mike.
03:34You know what I mean?
03:35But you don't want, you know, things that you might say or, you know, your body language, even as a
03:40coach, to come across wrong.
03:41And then you lose, you know, your star quarterback, you know, too.
03:43So I know he has to be, even though you have to demand a lot out of him, you've got
03:47to understand the personality, you know, because I don't know Drake may like that.
03:51But what kind of personality can he take it?
03:54Because if you look at Bill Belichick, he didn't give a damn.
03:56He's going to go at Tom, but he knows Tom can take it.
03:58He's going to step up.
03:59So I don't know.
04:00We've been talking about it and describing it as a confidence problem for Drake May.
04:07Is it possible that it could be an overconfidence problem where you look at that picky through in the end
04:17zone and like he knows not to throw that ball there.
04:24He knows to throw that ball out of the back of the end zone.
04:26But is it possible that he's overconfident and his success last season led him to believe that he can force
04:35that and that he can do that?
04:37And it's not his it's not lack of confidence.
04:40It's overconfidence that Drake may as I don't think that's overconfidence because the smart quarterbacks, they're going to make the
04:48best decision, even if they live to play another down.
04:51But I think it comes into play, which I've said in the beginning of the season, we are going to
04:56miss Stephon Diggs, Stephon Diggs as a receiver, being a veteran, one of those guys who's always thinking he's open
05:03regardless.
05:04But he has that confidence to rally the truth together, at least keep the sticks moving.
05:08He gives you that security blanket.
05:09Yes, you don't have A.J. Brown, but guess what?
05:12This is the NFL.
05:13You know what I mean?
05:13And I think that and I think that's a big I think that's a big loss for us.
05:17But when he comes back, you know, it should give him a little bit more confidence going in.
05:23But somebody I think that was the glue that they should have tried to keep was Stephon Diggs.
05:28And and we had Cardi B in the stands, too.
05:32So you know what I'm asking?
05:33Come on, man.
05:34On the social media and riling us up.
05:36So that's a new one.
05:37So it's a it's a Cardi B jinx is what it is.
05:40No, I wouldn't say that.
05:40But I'm just saying I'm just giving Stephon Diggs his flowers.
05:44Cardi B go right to IG and go after people.
05:46Basically, you get some get some get some attention around here for for better or for worse.
05:51But you're going to get some eyeballs on the screen.
05:53And Stephon Diggs, I think that he would have really helped.
05:57So when you say I agree with you, by the way, and I for the life of me, I don't
06:03understand why.
06:04If you were going to sign he or Dobbs, you didn't just resign.
06:08But was he helping from a from a leadership perspective, from a veteran player guidance perspective, or was it a
06:19comfortability level that that that Drake had where he would always be able to count on him when it comes
06:26to running around or or catching the football?
06:28I think all those things can be true because, you know, if you put Stephon Diggs in the one on
06:33one, he's probably going to get the second or third corner, especially when you have a guy like A.J.
06:38Brown.
06:38He was healthy at the time and he still has enough savvy in enough veteran leadership in him and enough
06:46skill to be very productive.
06:48I mean, he had a thousand yards last year.
06:49I don't know when you brought, you know, Dobbs and what he had.
06:52Seven.
06:52Seven, I want to say 747 was his highest skill last year.
06:56So you're talking about you got some a little bit more youth, but right now you want some veteran experience
07:01because you never know what's going to happen when you lose your number one guy.
07:04That's a big blow to the whole team.
07:06Now, what do you do as a leader?
07:08Everyone's not going to be like Tom Brady.
07:10Everyone's going to compare no matter how much success that he has.
07:13They're going to compare to Tom Brady.
07:15When you don't have a good game with the last couple of games that you haven't played well, what are
07:19they going to say?
07:20Tom Brady would have did this.
07:21Tom Brady would have that.
07:22So I don't envy his position because you just happen to come to the team where the greatest quarterback of
07:28all time has played.
07:29But guess what?
07:30There's an expectation.
07:31You've showed us that you can play.
07:33You took this team to the Super Bowl.
07:35And guess what?
07:36Now you're kind of stinking up the joint.
07:38Ty Law is here.
07:38Curtis, I know you have a question.
07:40Can you hold it for a couple minutes?
07:41I will try.
07:42I've got to.
07:43I'll do my best.
07:45Come on.
07:46Topic of your question?
07:48Well, he just alluded to when somebody brings him up, I kind of have to jump in.
07:51Um, so it's about, um, something that Drake did off the field.
07:55That was very un-Brady like.
07:56Okay.
07:56We will get to that and more with Ty Law on a tie Tuesday.
08:00Never mind, though, uh, what is going to happen when it comes to this Patriots team Sunday and to Josh
08:08Allen and the Buffalo Bills, uh, up there.
08:12And, um, certainly if they look like they did last week, then you are, uh, you're going to be, they're
08:19going to throw 60 up, up on you.
08:21Uh, Wiggy and I disagreed a little bit on the defense.
08:24I, I was disappointed in the defense as well, but, um, Wiggy, you were kind of explaining that away as,
08:30uh, as, uh, if you, you know, you go into that halftime and you're able to make it 14, 10
08:36or whatever, then it's a completely different approach.
08:38Right. Well, I was asking Ty this off here, but I'll ask him on air because I've been a part
08:42of it.
08:42I don't know if he's ever been a part of it before as a player, but if the offense can
08:48take, cause the defense is top five, when it comes to points, the top five, when it comes to total
08:53yards.
08:53If this continues on, there's going to get to a point in that locker room where I think the defense
09:00is going to start looking at the offense and going like, man, you guys need to pick it up.
09:06And it will actually get said like, there'll be one player in that locker room.
09:10And I was telling Ty, this would be like, Hey man, you guys going to do anything on offense this
09:15week.
09:15Absolutely.
09:16And the offensive players are going to feel a certain way and they're going to say something.
09:20So it might not create like this massive divide, but it's going to be.
09:24And have you ever been part of that before where you like the defense has been carrying it and your
09:29offense so bad where it's just like, man, we got to be damn near perfect.
09:35I mean, yes, we, I mean, we've all, we've all been, I've been on the other side too, where the
09:40offense was saying, you guys got to stop somebody.
09:42You got to, you got to step up, but it's just basically holding the, holding your teammates accountable.
09:47Whether you in a meeting was with me every day, that doesn't mean I can't go to you as my
09:52teammate and say, Hey man, you, I mean, catch the damn ball.
09:56Hey Adam, make the goddamn kick.
09:58You know what I mean?
09:58So, I mean, those are just, you know, things that happen, but you don't want, you can lose them.
10:03If you, if you're going out there and you don't care and you just like stinking up the joint weekend
10:08and week out and you're putting it all on the defense.
10:11No, that's not cool.
10:12Cause that can divide a locker room, even though you try your best not to let that happen and try
10:16to encourage them, hold them accountable.
10:18But you know, we've been there, right?
10:20Nobody wants to hear it because people take what they do personally as well.
10:24And Curtis, Curtis has a question waiting on, on Drake.
10:27So Ty, you played with Tom.
10:30We know how tough he was as a quarterback.
10:32Right.
10:33What did you make of Drake May voluntarily bringing up the shoulder and then bringing it back up, not refusing
10:39to say it's not a problem yesterday in the afternoon show?
10:42I mean, once you're out there on the field, you can't, you know, no one's trying to hear excuses.
10:47Right.
10:47Especially after the fact, if you did, did we hear about this going into the pregame?
10:51Did he have a shoulder injury or anything like that or situation?
10:54So we haven't heard anything about it since Super Bowl.
10:56I mean, so don't come up with any excuses.
10:58Just take that, take the L.
