00:03Hello, Queensland.
00:04It is Sunday, the 4th of October, and this is your weather forecast for the week ahead.
00:07It's relatively stable at the start of the week, but there is some activity later on as we develop.
00:11However, I don't have a lot of confidence in the forecast for those later activities,
00:15but we will have a look at what's on the way.
00:17So this is our Saturday to Saturday rainfall distribution.
00:21And you can see that across pretty much the whole state, it looks like there's some rain on the way,
00:24anywhere between 1 and sort of 10 mils, 10 to 25 if you're around the Brisbane region.
00:31Let's have a look day by day. This is Sunday, as we said, dry, stable and calm.
00:35Monday, same thing, maybe a light sort of rain or shower in the south.
00:39Tuesday, we're starting to see a little bit of rain here with some of this onshore breeze,
00:43anywhere between sort of 1 and 10 mils there.
00:47All right, similar here for Wednesday.
00:49Again, a bit more rain in that southeast coastal region.
00:52Thursday, it starts to sort of establish a cross in the central regions.
00:57This I have seen in some models associated with thunder and lightning storms.
01:01So that's definitely something to be aware of.
01:03But I'm not seeing widespread regions over there.
01:07Friday, possible shower, but mostly stable across the state.
01:10And then Saturday, there's there's some activity happening on Saturday,
01:14and it's happening really across all of Australia or I should say all the eastern Australia.
01:18But this is what I don't have a lot of confidence in.
01:22I can't see the structure or the organization of that weather system particularly well.
01:27It's six to seven days in advance.
01:29So I'm just not really confident in calling this system.
01:33However, what I want to discuss is that there's the possibility of rainfall here across a lot of Queensland,
01:38sort of two to five mils is what I'm seeing.
01:40However, I have seen in some models this is associated with thunder and lightning storms as well for widespread regions.
01:48So that's on the cards.
01:49But again, I don't have a lot of confidence in saying that that's definitely going to arrive.
01:53Similar, similar story here for Sunday as well.
01:55So definitely something to keep an eye out.
01:57But yeah, we're not going to call anything here today.
02:00OK, one more thing that we want to discuss is wind.
02:03The wind is not as strong in Queensland as it is down in the south with the fronts moving through.
02:07But I am seeing a little bit of gustiness in that Thursday movement.
02:11So 40 to 63 kilometers an hour here in the sort of south central coast.
02:16But the inland regions relatively calm there.
02:18All right.
02:19That is it for Queensland.
02:20As I said, possible possible activity on the way.
02:23But I would keep my eye out on it as the week progresses.
02:25All right.
02:26Have a great one.
02:26Do stay safe.
02:27And we'll see you next time.
02:28Bye.
