00:03It's Sunday, the 27th of September, and this is WA's weather forecast for the week ahead.
00:07There is currently some strong weather on the way as a low pressure system moves through
00:11the state.
00:12This will deliver quite a bit of rain, especially in the central regions, 25 to 50 mils across
00:16the week.
00:17That's currently seeing a strong wind warning across the southern coast, which eases as
00:21the week goes on.
00:22Let's have a breakdown day by day.
00:23So this is currently Sunday, where we can see a lot of that rain down in the southwest
00:27coast, and on Monday, the low system starts to move further south, so easing a lot of
00:32those conditions there.
00:33Tuesday, we still have the trough that's coming from this system, delivering 5 to sort of 15
00:38mils into that interior area, 1 to 2 mils if you're further up north.
00:43Moving across now to Wednesday, we can see the continuation of this system.
00:48Weekends on Thursday, and then another system arrives Friday for central WA, 25 to 50 mils
00:54is possible there.
00:54By Saturday, it starts to move eastwards.
00:57And then by Sunday, most of the state is fairly dry.
01:01Now, there's also a lot of wind on the way this week, sort of gusty in the interior, 30
01:04to 40 kilometers an hour.
01:06We're looking here at Monday.
01:07And then the southern coast has some pockets in the sort of 63 to 90 kilometers an hour as
01:12this low pressure system moves on.
01:13Today, Sunday does seem to be the worst day, okay?
01:16So spray conditions improve in the south of the state as the week goes on, whereas I'm
01:20seeing the spray conditions in the north are best sort of Monday, Tuesday, and then they
01:24worsen as the week progresses.

01:27As for temperature, it's relatively consistent, warm in the north, fairly, yeah, consistent
01:32sort of days.
01:33And in the south, it's fairly warm for the system that's arriving.
01:37Of note, it should be said that a lot of the rain systems coming through this week do have
01:41associated thunder and lightning storms.
01:42So that's definitely something to be mindful of in terms of safety.
