00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you. It turned quite wet and windy for
00:05many of us in the north and west of England and that is due to this frontal
00:09system that has pushed in from the west overnight. That unsettled weather is
00:13going to continue through much of Friday as we get more frontal features pushing
00:17in from the west throughout the day. This has brought quite a wet start for
00:21many across northwestern England. Dry initially across Northern Ireland but
00:25here quickly turning wetter as we head through the morning and into the
00:29lunchtime period. Also quite a lot of rain across parts of southern and western
00:33Scotland and winds in and around these areas are also going to be quite strong
00:37with the potential of very strong winds in and around coasts as well. Further south
00:42and east plenty of drier and brighter weather here with winds also quite a
00:46lot lighter. These winds are coming up from the south through the day on Friday
00:50and that's going to allow temperatures to rise into the mid low to mid 20s once
00:54again. So still above average for the time of year. Further north underneath all of
00:59that cloud and rain still quite a mild day however down in comparison to some
01:03other spots. Through Friday afternoon this cloud and rain is going to continue to
01:08push southwards. It does turn brighter for many across Northern Ireland and even
01:12across western Scotland. However across northern England and pushing down into
01:16Wales it is going to remain quite cloudy and wet as we head into Saturday
01:21morning. Further south and east remaining dry once again Friday night and into
01:26Saturday and temperatures here allowed to remain quite mild through the start of
01:30Saturday morning. In behind that cloud and rain we've got fresher air coming in and
01:34this is going to allow for temperatures to drop down into the single figures for
01:38many further north with areas of rural spots even coming down slightly further than
01:42this. Through Saturday itself this cloud and rain is going to continue to move
01:47south and eastwards. The rain breaks up quite a lot so only a spitter spot here or
01:51there for many. Showers may continue across the far southwest through Saturday
01:55however elsewhere plenty of dry and bright weather around and winds particularly
02:00for those northern and western spots are going to reduce quite a lot into
02:04Saturday so it's going to feel quite pleasant in the sunshine on Saturday for
02:07many with temperatures once again in and around or slightly above average for
02:11the time of year. That's all from ourselves for the moment but for more on
02:15what's to come on the weekend's weather keep an eye on our YouTube channel.
