00:23with my picks. Need to get to two and one this afternoon. Well, as do the Browns.
00:30Well, the real question, Daryl, is if they win today and your prediction comes to fruition,
00:35three and one, will you be picking up on Thursday night against the Steelers? Can I get four and
00:42one playing the New York Jets? Yes. Four and one. You earned it here. Daryl Ryder, they win today.
00:51The Browns are four and one. Daryl, which means they're probably gonna end up one and four.
00:59Yeah. And I'm gonna blame you for it. Well, it was worth the bet. It was worth the bet. I'll

01:04you that much. Deshaun played really well last week. We know what would have happened if he had
01:11played poorly. The Browns decided to start him in week three. We know what that reaction is.
01:14Daryl, what are you expecting the reaction to be from the crowd today with Deshaun?
01:18Well, let's see. They're doing the Nick Chubb Retirement and Alumni Day.
01:24Ohio State's marching band is in town for halftime.
01:29They hired a house band to play music at the games. I'm gonna be very interested to see what
01:35that's all about. So, and they're probably gonna introduce the defense.
01:41defense. So, I'm thinking it'll be okay. Until Deshaun's first incompletion. Or first
01:48interception. Or first fumble. Assuming that there is one. There may not be. He took care
01:53of the football last week. No picks. No fumbles. So, if he plays a clean football game, I don't
01:59think that, you know, I don't think it'll be all that negative. He plays well. Fans will
02:04cheer. He doesn't play well. Guess what's gonna happen? Fans will boo. Listen, Brian Hoyer got
02:08booed. And he's from here. Okay? Like, let's also, this isn't just the Deshaun thing. This
02:15is a sports thing. You play well, you get cheers. You play lousy, you get booed. So, hopefully
02:21he comes out and he picks up where he left off against Tampa Bay. Look, the biggest takeaway
02:26from last week's game for me is that Deshaun defied the odds from my standpoint. I didn't
02:34think he had anything left to give. I didn't think he could do anything to help the Browns
02:38win football games. I was wrong. And I'm not afraid to say that, but I based those thoughts
02:42on everything that I was seeing in the offseason program and during training camp and the preseason
02:47where he was, for the most part, pretty lousy. So, you know, I'll give him his credit. He's
02:53been better the last six quarters on the field. And hopefully that continues to get better.
02:58And if so, the Browns are gonna win some football games. It's just, it's that simple because they
03:02do have, in my view, a good young team. They just need a quarterback to kind of help them
03:09move along here and pick up some wins. So, yeah, I think that if Deshaun can continue to progress
03:18forward here, you know, there aren't gonna be many boos.
03:24Yeah, there's something to be said for bringing out the one player that's boo-proof as part
03:29of the pregame festivities. I wonder if he's gonna smash the guitar with the Batman mask
03:33again. I mean, it feels fitting, right? Yeah, Grant Delpit said he wanted him to, you know,
03:38roll out there in the Batmobile. I don't know that the Browns can pull that off.
03:44I mean, Nick said he's looking for what he wants to do next, Daryl. Maybe his next gig is
03:50playing Batman in the next, like, version of Batman they do. I don't know. Get James
03:53Gunn on the phone. And Robert Pattinson off the roll. I mean, he's already built like a
03:57tank. It's not like he's got to do what a lot of actors do. He doesn't like to talk much
04:01either. He can do the Batman just like, yeah, it's perfect. He needs to know two words.
04:08I'm Batman. And then just kick the crap out of all the bad guys. I think we found on Nick
04:19Chubb next week. I think we're on to something. I am. I love, by the way, that we joked with

04:23on Friday about like, hey, can this be a three-day contract and you suit up? And he said he
04:28got
04:28maybe a couple plays in him. Honestly, Daryl, like the Browns run game right now could use a little
04:33Nick Chubb right now. What have you noticed about the struggles? And is this the get right situation
04:38that some are making it out to be? Because it's kind of been a bad game for the Panthers defense
04:42against the run and then a better game against the Panthers. Yeah, you're right. I mean,
04:45Carolina is not good stopping the run through too, because we're going to obviously,
04:48we're going to talk about how good their their passing attack is. They're leading the NFL
04:53in passing right now, which I'm taking that with a grain of salt. But, you know, and I kind of
04:58have
04:58to be fair and consistent and take their run defense with a grain of salt. But it's hard after,
05:03you know, watching their first two games. And I mean, guys, they're giving up almost 225 yards on
05:10the ground. All right. The Browns barely have 25 yards rushing for the season. So like this is
05:18definitely, as you put it, a get right game. From my perspective, this is a you know, I think it's
05:25important that Quinn Sean Judkins gets it going. And we've seen in the first two games, Todd Munkin's
05:29been very intentional about trying to get him going early in the game early in drives handing off on
05:36first and second down. And it just there's just hasn't been a lot there. And, you know, I'm not in
05:46the film room. So like, I don't want to sit here and blame the offensive line. I don't want to
05:50sit
05:50here and just blame Quinn Sean for not picking the right running links, because I have no idea what
05:55the assignments are on any on any of these plays from a blocking standpoint, or what Quinn Sean supposed
06:01to be looking for. But they do got to find a way to get it going today. If they can't
06:06run the football
06:06today, I'm going to be very, very concerned. Because again, through two games, Carolina,
06:11the worst at stopping the run. And if the Panthers are able to stop this run attack today,
06:18that does not bode well for the Browns.
06:20Darrell, obviously, Panthers defense is bad. The offense has not been bad whatsoever.
06:26They've been absolutely crazy at putting up points left and right. Is this a game where you
06:31stare at the Browns defense and think they might be in a little bit of trouble?
06:34No, I because I think that the Browns defense is okay. You know, I, you know, from front to back,
06:42and I know there's a lot of conversation. Well, my goodness gracious, there's two games in and
06:45Jared verse doesn't have a sack. Well, at least he's registered some other statistics. He's got some
06:50tackles and things like that. He didn't have a pressure last week. And so, you know,
06:55hopefully he can, you know, dial up some pressure today. But yeah, I mean, look,
07:01Carolina comes in along with Bryce Young, and they're lighting things up offensively.
07:09You know, Tett McMillan is off to a great start. Jalen Coker is off to a great start.
07:16Darren Waller is still doing Darren Waller things. Chubb Hubbard is, you know, running the ball,
07:23you know, well enough, caught a touchdown last week. So, you know, yeah, this is a right now
07:30through two weeks, it's a very good Carolina offense. Bryce Young's off to a very, very good
07:34start. He's, you know, you know, completing a high percentage of his, you know, passes. He's got a
07:41six to one touchdown to interception ratio. His, his quarterback rating is north of 110.
07:47Um, but, uh, I'm, I'm not worried about the Browns defense being able to keep up with the
07:53Carolina offense. I think I'm more concerned about the Browns offense being able to keep up,
07:58uh, with, uh, you know, the Panthers on the scoreboard. All right, Daryl, we got to run.

09:15one. And then maybe win on Thursday. I thought he maybe split the difference,
09:19but he's, uh, he's, he's feeling the vibes right now. He, he said if they win
09:23today, they will also win on Thursday. And then he also picked them to win the
09:27jets. He has this team at four and one. That's three weeks. That's all a win
09:32today in Daryl's mind gets this team to four and one. And by the way, not a crazy
09:36statement that they could beat the Steelers and beat the jets after this, I
09:40maybe why so much hope is riding on everything right here, right now. And I
09:45think with this game for the Browns, we voted the Deshaun Watson statue. That's
09:48all I got. That's all I want. One, six, four, seven, four. And please don't call
09:51about that.
