00:10It'll be a fun but busy day, no question about it. So got Browns Ravens at one and then head
00:16on over to the ballpark and see if the Guardians can take back control of this ALCS. All right,
00:21Daryl, obviously injury report, it was a laundry list to start the week and has shrunk significantly.
00:26Uh, Quinchon Judkins though, still one of the guys, uh, that is questionable heading into this
00:32thing. If you have anything on health and you feel like a, you know, if he's going to try and
00:36give it
00:36a go today, also given the Browns run game, does it actually matter if he plays? Uh, yeah, I mean,
00:42it does matter if he plays and I do think he will give it a go. Um, both elevations were
00:48used on the
00:49defensive side of the ball, uh, yesterday. And, uh, again, not going to be an easy stop for the
00:54Browns this afternoon because, you know, they had a little chilly on the lakefront. Um, and I'm
00:59anticipating the Baltimore Ravens will be, uh, trying to run the football a little bit today
01:03with Snoop Huntley, uh, their, uh, quarterback. I would definitely think so too, Daryl. I like the,
01:10uh, the Todd Munkin angle this week. I, just because obviously playing against his former team,
01:14and I know he obviously gave them, you know, their props of letting him interview with the Browns
01:18and all those things. Yeah. Kind of feels like the guy was, uh, you know, circumnavigably fired
01:23like Harbaugh's out the door. You figure the coordinators are going with him. I know he said
01:28all week, like this isn't anything extra. Uh, he doesn't have a grudge match in this game.
01:34How bad do you think Todd Munkin wants this win today? Not only going up against his former team,
01:38but also to get this team above three and three into a, you know, stay above 500. Yeah. He wants
01:43to win
01:43the game, but I, I kind of do believe him a little bit. Yeah. I'm sure he was talking serious
01:49mess this
01:49week behind the scenes, but I think he does that every week, uh, you know, to get his team fired
01:53up
01:54and prepared and ready to go. Right. That that's just, that's part of his job. So, um, but you know,
02:01pro sports today, I think that those storylines are more for us and fans than anything. Um, because
02:08pro sports today are just so transient. People bounce around all the time. The NFL is an incestuous league.
02:13Everybody has worked for everybody or knows everybody or played for everybody. Right.
02:18Um, and so, I mean, I think everyone in the NFL has coached in Cleveland at some point in their
02:23life.
02:23Right. Yeah. You know, it's just a rite of passage. You have to go spend some time in Cleveland at

02:28point. Uh, but yeah, I, um, uh, you know, it does matter. Like let, let's be clear about that. I'm

02:35he absolutely does want to win this game, but he's not the guy that got fired. Okay. He, he, he
02:41worked for John
02:42Harbaugh, John Harbaugh got fired. Uh, now, uh, you know, there was some reporting that Harbaugh was
02:48thinking about taking him, uh, to New York with him, uh, to be the giants offensive coordinator. If he
02:54didn't get the Browns job and he ultimately ended up getting the Browns job and, and Harbaugh obviously
02:58went elsewhere, uh, with his OC, but yeah, I mean, um, and, and I also think that Todd wanted to
03:05be very
03:06careful this week about the things he said, obviously Derek Henry, you know, we, we all,
03:11uh, saw and heard the comments that he made this week about Munkin as far as, you know, the, the
03:16trash
03:17talk and things like that. I did get a kick out of the fact that, uh, you know, Munkin's like,
03:22I'm not even on social media, but he does have social media accounts and he does follow members
03:29of the media on social media that cover the team. So, um, I don't know how much I believe Todd
03:36Munkin when he says he doesn't look at social media or pay it any attention or care about it
03:41or whatever, you know what I'm saying? Like all these guys, I, I mean, Steven vote last night,
03:46uh, before the game, uh, you know, they're always, ah, you know, don't read anything you guys write,
03:51no disrespect to you, but it has no bearing on anything. Right. And then voters up there,
03:56it happened to be a very positive quote was, yeah, you know, I read the quote from Kate Smith to
04:00TBS
04:00about how it's a privilege to play in October, but it's a, you know, an obligation to play cold
04:06games in, in April. Right. And he goes, that put a smile on my face. Well, these guys read and
04:10see
04:11everything. They just did. They just choose what they would like to call attention to and amplify.
04:17Oh boy, Daryl. Speaking of reading everything, seeing everything, there was a lot of chatter
04:22this week about Shador Sanders hiring an agent to you and I haven't had an opportunity to discuss
04:27that. What'd you make of that news coming? Yeah. I mean, all the shows wanted to me say,
04:32it wanted me to say that Shador Sanders was going to ask for a trade. Okay. And just cause that's
04:38what they want me to say, that doesn't mean that's what I'm going to say. First of all,
04:41I don't know that for a fact. And it would be very unfair for me to say that now it's
04:46fun to
04:46speculate, right? Usually, uh, you know, when you do hire an agent, that means that you're setting up
04:51for a future business move that that's, you know, why players do that. So, uh, whether that's a trade,
04:57whether that's, I don't know, he's got, you know, another year to go before, uh, any type
05:02of a contract extension, he's got a four-year rookie deal with the Browns. He's two years into
05:05that. Um, he's doing pretty well off the field as well. Um, so I thought it was curious, uh, you
05:12know, he probably should have done that going into the NFL draft. Maybe he would not have been a fifth
05:17round pick. I think I still maintain this. He was listening to the wrong people going into the
05:23draft and how he approached the draft and it hurt him and he was punished for it. There's
05:27no question that Shador Sanders was punished, uh, you know, for his approach, uh, to the,
05:34to, to the draft process. Okay. Um, but that's all in the rear view mirror. This is about what's,
05:39you know, going forward. He wants to play. Of course he wants to play, right? Who, I mean,
05:43you shouldn't be in the NFL if you don't want to play. Uh, so like that's not breaking news at
05:48all.
05:49So, um, it'll be curious to see how things play out in the next couple of weeks. The Browns do
05:53have
05:54a quarterback decision they have to make, uh, within the next two weeks with Dylan Gabriel,
05:58the clock is ticking on that 21 day window that got activated. Um, and now I think they will start
06:04out carrying four quarterbacks. I think Andrew Barry is going to call the bluff of any GM that,
06:11um, you know, has called him and is, you know, indicated, we'll just wait for you to cut one of
06:15the guys and pick the guy up that you cut. I think Andrew Barry will call their bluff. They'll start
06:20out carrying four quarterbacks. I just don't know how long they're going to do that.
06:24Darrell, while we're talking about quarterbacks, uh, Deshaun Watson, how big of a game is this for
06:29him? Huge. Cause I mean, football team, it matters a lot. I also think a fan base, like
06:34this is probably a pretty big swing game on perception now. Well, yeah, because guess what
06:39happens if he stinks up the joint today? Guess what? Tomorrow morning on the Ken Carman show with
06:43Anthony Lima is going to be, and then Baskin and Phelps and then afternoon drive. And then,
06:46you know, later this week with you, right? It's all going to be okay. When they benched Deshaun,
06:50okay. That's two weeks in a row when they benched Deshaun to play Shador. So we know what the
06:55conversation is. So yeah, it's, it's a very big game and hopefully, uh, you know, uh, his
07:00supporting cast goes back to doing what they did, uh, before the Jets game for the previous
07:04three weeks, that's catch the football, that's block up front, right? And so if those things
07:08happen, uh, I think Deshaun Watson to be fine, but if, uh, balls get dropped and, and obviously
07:13he also too has to be accurate with passes. Like, let's also be fair about that. He's got to
07:18be accurate with the passes and whatnot, but, uh, yeah, you need the supporting cast to do
07:22their job today as well. It's not just all Deshaun Watson, but it, you know, as I, you know,
07:27I I've told folks that, uh, I bump into when I'm out and about, you know, I just say, Hey,
07:31look, I don't think Deshaun Watson's played especially well early in the season. He's been
07:36helped by his teammates making plays for him. And when he's not played well, well, he's not
07:42gotten some help. Right. And then he's also had some close calls, uh, when it comes to the
07:47turnovers, uh, too. So he does have to be careful where he's throwing that football today and also
07:52ball security when, uh, he's having to, uh, whether it's evade pressure or, uh, extend plays with his
07:58feet or, you know, on those, uh, run pass options, tucking the ball and running it. He's got to make
08:03sure, uh, it doesn't get punched out. All right, Daryl, the second leg of the double header feels like
08:10probably the bigger leg of the double header where you can be a little more, a little more
08:14significant away from going back to the world series. If the Cleveland guardians could get a
08:19win against Tampa was the vibe like going into game five later. Yeah. You know, Steven vote,
08:24uh, was real positive, real upbeat last night. Parker Messick as well. Like look, these are two
08:30very evenly matched teams. I didn't go into this ALCS thinking either team was going to dominate that
08:36series. Okay. And, and, um, this is a six or seven, obviously it's at least a six game series.
08:42I understand that. I think this, I said this last night with Andy Baskin on our, uh, YouTube post
08:46game, uh, coverage. Um, this has six, this has a seven game series written all over it. Okay.
08:52Guardians win game one race, come back in game two guardians, take game three, the race come back
08:57here in game number four, even this thing up. I liked the guardians this afternoon, uh, with
09:02Messick on the bump. Um, you know, Gavin Williams is waiting in the wings as well. So in my view,
09:08pitching advantage to the guardians, I'm not a fan of bullpen games. I, I, I asked Steven vote about
09:14it last night and he said, teams really like the optionality, uh, with, uh, bullpen games in the
09:20post season, because you can mess with the, you can force, uh, you know, the other team's hand with
09:25their lineups and, and things like that. And you, you just have a wide variety of arms that you can
09:30throw at them. And it's all about the outs. It's not about the, the, the, the, the length. Uh, I'm
09:34old school. I like my starters going five to seven, you know, one or one or two setup guys, get
09:39it to
09:39the closer slam, bam. Thank you, ma'am. Get out with your win. Right. That's not how the game's
09:43played anymore. You know, uh, the, the brewers have, you know, you know, worked that really,
09:49really well. This isn't just the guardians thing, right? Uh, the white socks, uh, do it. All these
09:55teams do a bullpen game or two in the white socks case. It's the entire series, but
10:00you know, this is the, the, the new way the game is being played. And, and, and so, um, uh,
10:07you know,
10:08I, I, I just worry when you do those, you, you overtax your, your pen there. They're going to play
10:13four straight in my view. Um, you play four straight all the time though. So to me, it's not all
10:17that
10:18big a deal. You'd like to have the off day today, but you know, again, you bounce city to city
10:23all the
10:24time and you get an extra hour. Cause it's, it'll be an eight Oh eight first pitch there, uh, down
10:28in
10:28Tampa Bay, uh, tomorrow night. So I don't think losing the off day is all that big a deal. And
10:33again, I like the guardians this afternoon to go to Tampa up three, two, and then they just got to
