00:00Let me take you down the odyssey of this here.
00:02That's a wordplay on our fabulous company.
00:07Play this because I got to change something here at the end of it.
00:11Here is an odyssey station.
00:15It's been a long time since we had that.
00:17Well done.
00:19Soon enough you're going to be playing syphilis.
00:22Volunteer testing for syphilis.
00:23Yeah, he's got it.
00:24What do you mean?
00:25Syphilis.
00:25Syphilis.
00:26Onion rings.
00:26Onion rings.
00:2721 cases of syphilis.
00:29Syphilis.
00:30I said I have syphilis.
00:32Oh my God, Hannah.
00:34The guy who's so brazenly goes, syphilis, man.
00:38Like just mocking the syphilis.
00:41Mocking the disease.
00:43Is that what Al Capone said?
00:47Just brazenly mocking it.
00:49That stuff's serious now, man.
00:52Yes, it is.
00:52Made a comeback.
00:53Damn it.
00:54Can't believe it.
00:56Guys, you got to wear some condoms.
00:57You got to get tested.
00:59Get that penicillin in you, man.
01:03Turned your brains into bisquick.
01:07All right, here's Jason.
01:09Says you can't start mandating who the coach starts at quarterback.
01:12You can't start mandating to the head coach who can and cannot play a quarterback.
01:17I just don't believe that that's happening.
01:19I did think at one point last year that might be happening, and I never found any evidence to it.
01:24So, I just have to go by what I know.
01:27So, Lima, during the break, goes, there's people who are flat out calling us liars.
01:31And I'm like, I can't stop people.
01:33Everybody.
01:34When people hear what they don't want to hear, they just call you a liar over it.
01:37It's like, okay, fine.
01:38What I'm seeing a lot of that I think I hate to do this, because I've seen a lot of
01:44bad
01:44Browns quarterback play, and people are telling me that it cannot possibly get worse than Sunday.
01:50And I'm like, it has been worse.
01:51We saw some games last year where it was worse.
01:54I mean, that Bears game.
01:56Yeah, it was worse, but you didn't feel as bad about it.
01:59You didn't.
01:59It was at the end of the year.
02:01You didn't care anymore.
02:03I'm sorry.
02:04I didn't mean to cut you off, but damn it, you just didn't feel worse about it.
02:07This is a way worse feeling.
02:09I mean, Shador last year against the Bears was 18 of 35.
02:12So, he had 17 incompletions, not six.
02:15And he threw three interceptions.
02:17Doesn't matter.
02:17I mean, Shador can go out there and literally play with one arm, tie behind his back, and throw
02:23eight picks, and I still wouldn't feel as bad as this.
02:25Five sacks, and I think he was credited with like four of them in that game.
02:27I wouldn't feel as bad as that.
02:29So, that is a worse game.
02:30Shador played a worse game.
02:31Now, Shador was a rookie, and Deshaun, now coming off two years of not playing football,
02:36there was going to be a rough start.
02:39I think any of us that thought he would just come out and light the scoreboard on fire,
02:44I don't think anybody expected that.
02:45Like, if I were the owner right now, you've got to be careful.
02:50Because, you know, once you say these things, you can't take them back.
02:54Like, let me go around the room with you guys, too.
02:56If you were the owners as well.
02:57Like, if I were the owner, if he goes out there and he plays, Deshaun Watson goes out
03:01there and plays that badly on Sunday.
03:04He doesn't make it out of the half.
03:05We got to, you can finish the game.
03:07If you want to finish the game, finish the game.
03:09We got to have a conversation on Monday.
03:11We got to have a strong conversation on Monday.
03:14Um, because I'm losing confidence.
03:18You can, I understand.
03:20Operations, operational, getting the plays in and out.
03:24Well, I hired you for a reason.
03:26You're coaching.
03:28It's not just about repeating your philosophy.
03:30It's coaching.
03:32Find a way to get them where you need them to go, or as close to it as you possibly
03:36can.
03:37If, if you need to run, like, seriously, if you need to run jet sweep, you love that play.
03:44But you know what?
03:46Anthony can only come down.
03:47Anthony's my ex and he can only jet so fast.
03:50Well, you're going to find something else to do.
03:52We got, we're tasked with trying to win football games here.
03:55Cause I could look at it and go like, honestly, if I were the owner of the football team, I'd
04:00come
04:00down after Sunday.
04:01Cause I assume he's not going to play well.
04:02And if he doesn't play well and you're playing against the quarterback that I decided that I
04:07wasn't going to give any money to, and he's going to, yeah, if they get a chance, he is
04:11going to make us eat that thing the entire game possible.
04:15The Kansas game when he was in college will be a far cry to what we may end up seeing.
04:21He might not be getting fined for what he does over there on the sideline.
04:24If they, if they start to really get their way with things.
04:27And I would, I would have an honest conversation and I would go, listen, I know I'm not supposed
04:31to do this.
04:32I do have a fan base.
04:33I have to think about here.
04:35I can't, we can't do this.
04:37No, no longer, no longer.
04:39And you could say, well, it's my job.
04:41And I go, yeah, but even if you did start them and people are yelling in the stands and
04:45saying terrible things and people are calling in and saying horrible things about it.
04:49Like, I don't know about your future either.
04:53Like what the hell is going on here, man?
04:56Like I'm at the point where I, you knew what we were getting into.
05:01And I, I know that there were some people going, nah, Ken will do it.
05:04He'll, he'll come around on and he'll start saying nine wins.
05:07And I didn't even meet you halfway.
05:09I'm like, Hey, if they got a chance to win any of these games, they can win against Jacksonville.
05:13I'll take a win against Jacksonville for all the reasons that Todd keeps saying that they
05:17have a chance.
05:17And they did none of those things and they look terrible doing it.
05:20And I'm like, I'm never picking them to win.
05:22And now it looks like you saying four and me saying five are a gross overestimation.
05:26So now it's like, let's get in and out of the season without people, without us having
05:30a great, big, huge, embarrassing moment.
05:34I'm serious.
05:34Like something that we, let's get out of this season where we don't have to talk about something
05:39for the rest of our lives.
05:41All right.
05:42Like you talk about the 0 and 16 because it's 0 and 16, 1 and 15.
05:46It's like, Hey, Jamie meter blocked the kick, but internet, you don't remember any of that
05:50one in 15 season, make it forgettable.
05:52Like I said, let's just get in and out of this season and move on to next year without
05:56any of us losing our minds.
05:57Can we do that?
05:58Cause the guy makes us lose our minds.
06:00I'm not trying to fan flames.
06:02He fanned the flames.
06:03If I did not exist, if you did not exist, they'd still be angry.
06:08I make no bit of damn difference after it.
06:11If he didn't say anything after that, I'm like, yeah, you go out and boom, you yell at
06:15him and boom.
06:16Then yeah, I'd be fanned in flames.
06:17I don't need to be here for you guys to do that.
06:20Neither does tone, neither does Jeff and Andy or anybody else for that matter.
06:24You'll be mad on your own.
06:26So we do have to think about this.
06:28Like, yeah, I know.
06:29I want the head football coach to do his job.
06:31I want him to coach.
06:32I didn't know it was going to go that badly.
06:34And I said those things before he shot his mouth off after a preseason game for crying
06:37out loud.
06:38Sorry.
06:39Serious.
06:40Kenny, I think the reality is that what I always say that these things tend to work themselves
06:44out.
06:45Although I thought the Deshaun thing would have worked itself out like two years ago.
06:49We are sitting here with a team that almost no quarterback would have helped the Browns
06:54win that game on Sunday because the defense was that dreadful.
06:57So they'd be Owen one.
06:58Yeah.
06:58And now against a Baker Mayfield team and a motivated Baker Mayfield who cannot allow,
07:06especially after signing that contract for his team to go into, I would just say this
07:11has worked out perfectly for Shador Sanders to come in in week three.
07:14And have you seen that Carolina defense in week one?
07:17Like what better scenario served up on a platter for Shador to look good and have that offensive
07:24line with rookies on the offensive line and new guys up there and rookie wide receivers
07:29a time to gel than week three.
07:32And if I were a Shador fan, I'd say Shador, Deshaun, you enjoy, you enjoy the first two
07:38weeks.
07:39I'm glad you came around.
07:40It is a bit, guys, I will openly admit it's a bit of mental gymnastics, but I'm glad you've
07:45come around.
07:46Like, why should you made your decision?
07:48You're starting Deshaun Watson.
07:50Shador Sanders could have went out there and played like garbage and we'd just go, yeah,
07:54he played like garbage and that sucks.
07:55All right.
07:56What do the guys in college do?
07:58All right.
07:59When are we going to Deshaun Watson?
08:00Or when are we going to Dylan Gabriel?
08:02All right.
08:02Dylan's got a couple of weeks left.
08:04Can we, can we get tail and green caught up to speed?
08:06Like, that's like the worst that it is.
08:07Like, I know guys get on the internet and get fight, getting fights with whoever on the
08:11internet about Shador Sanders and ain't nothing like this.
08:15It ain't nothing like this.
08:16So if he went out there and he played well, great.
08:18If he went out there and he struggled, fine.
08:19I don't even take it as some sort of an indictment.
08:21I know that, that people, well, if, if Deshaun's this bad, then maybe Shador's really bad.
08:27I'm like, I don't even know if he's really bad.
08:28I think it shows you how far behind he is.
08:31I think that it doesn't do very many favors that you're drafted by a team that was probably
08:36kicking around the idea of moving on from their head coach in the first place.
08:39Then you get thrust into a situation where you're not on a very good football team.
08:43And then that football team switches out their head coach and you have a new offense to learn.
08:48And clearly I got two guys, the guy ahead of you and Shador are having troubles getting
08:52the information out.
08:53So again, where did I set you up for any success at all?
08:58If I didn't, it doesn't matter.
08:59I got to move on.
09:00I got to find the better QB if there, if that's the case, but it's ready or not now by
09:03week
09:04three, it's ready or not.
09:04I don't even know if it's the, I don't even know if it's the indictment because I don't
09:08think it's the indictment.
09:09I just, I look at it for what it is and I go, young man, I know that there's some
09:14people
09:14that don't like you because of your fan base.
09:16I don't think that's any knock on you.
09:19I don't think you're a bad guy.
09:21I don't think that there's anything wrong with you.
09:23I don't know how great you're going to be, but we got to find out because I can't repeat
09:27any of this because they're at least happy to see you.
09:30And in the ones who aren't even happy to see it, they're just curious.
09:33They're not going to boo him when he hits the field.
09:35You can announce your offense before the game.
09:37Like that's, that's honestly what's at stake here.
09:40Like guys, I'm trying to censor my own conversation about what could happen because I don't want
09:45anybody to get any crazy ideas.
09:48I've never had this happen before.
09:50Never.
09:5215 years.
09:53Never has happened.
09:54And I'm like, well, we got to be careful because I don't want anybody showing up out
09:59of spite and doing goofy stuff because I don't want this to be something that we talk about
10:03for years and years and years and years and years.
10:06Just make it forgettable.
