00:00Todd Munkin on Deshaun Watson, the big return.
00:06He, uh...
00:07Do we call it the big return, though?
00:09I think so.
00:10Dude, he hadn't played in 22 months.
00:12It's been a while.
00:13I think him being in the stadium was a big return.
00:16You know, Munkin there, though, sounded like he really liked what he saw.
00:23And, you know, I was kind of saying before the break, it was good.
00:28But, um, from a numbers standpoint, it was really good, especially comparative to Shador
00:34and Dillon.
00:36I just can't ignore, you know, didn't throw the ball further than 10 yards.
00:40Average depth per throw was about four yards.
00:44Did lose a fumble, which was an issue during his 19 regular season starts that he's had
00:50with the Browns.
00:51Well, keep in mind...
00:51But I can't ignore, this sounds like a head coach that really liked what he saw.
00:55Keep in mind, Deshaun Watson's two best quarters as quarterback of the Cleveland Browns
01:03came in Baltimore...
01:04Mm-hmm.
01:05The second half, if you could just get back to that second half against Baltimore.
01:08Hang on.
01:08I'm tying it in to what you had to say.
01:11It was the second half in Baltimore where they came back, they won the game, but he didn't
01:16throw a ball over 10 yards.
01:17Yeah.
01:18That, I mean, that was the best two quarters in the regular season Deshaun Watson had played
01:25for the Cleveland Browns.
01:26So, um, so I understand where you're coming from, but he, you know, the timing is going
01:35to take him a lot to get back to.
01:39And we see this in practice on a daily basis where...
01:42No, but he's had a lot.
01:44That's where I'm done.
01:45Too bad.
01:46You've, you've, you've had a, you've had your time to get back to the timing.
01:50Like, like I've done this for four painstaking years.
01:54This is going on the fifth year.
01:55This is going on the fourth different offensive coordinator that this joker has had.
02:00Like at some point you're out of time, dude.
02:03It's enough with the knocking off the rust and getting back to what it was.
02:07And I get that that's a real thing for these guys that they have to go through.
02:11That's all he's been doing here is collecting rust.
02:14Yeah.
02:15I mean, unfortunately, I mean, it's not his fault.
02:18He kept getting hurt.
02:19It's not his fault that he broke the shoulder.
02:21It's not his fault that he tore the Achilles the first time.
02:23We still don't know what happened on the second time.
02:26We never, we never did.
02:26We never get to the, we never did get to the bottom of how he did it a second time.
02:30And it conveniently did just like that, that whole story conveniently did just get dropped
02:35because ever since they've just been priming us that there's a reality that he can play
02:39for this team again.
02:40And you heard in that audio from coach, it sounded way too excited.
02:45Todd sounds like he's getting ready to play them.
02:47And I don't think we're, I don't think we're in for an announcement tomorrow, by the way,
02:51I, I, they're, they're going to let Shador play this joint practice against Buffalo.
02:56They're going to let him start this preseason game against Buffalo.
02:59We are not going to have an announcement this week, but I do wonder like if their minds are
03:04made up here or, or they are leaning heavily in a direction and Shador Sanders is going
03:13to, this is, look, this is, this might be the biggest week of Shador Sanders life.
03:18And I know that's a tad over dramatic.
03:24And I recognize that.
03:25I know me dramatic shocker, but I just, I recognize that me saying this might be getting a little
03:33off field here, but this is the biggest week of Shador Sanders professional life because
03:44he has to absolutely kill it this week, not only in practice and the joint practice with
03:52the bills, but then in the preseason game, he just absolutely has to light it up.
03:57And then in the meetings, you know, it goes to, that's what coach Riz keeps saying on all
04:01of this great content that you guys are putting out on the 92 through the fan YouTube channel.
04:05He coach Riz keeps reminding everybody, you know, there is a layer to this that we don't
04:11get to see.
04:12Is he doing, you know, is he putting the football in the places where, where the coaching staff
04:18wants it?
04:19Now, Todd said on the interception that he threw, and then Shador said on the interception
04:22that he threw that the ball was in the right place.
04:24So we checked that box there.
04:26The issue was the ball was intercepted.
04:30So I do wonder though, Daryl too, how much we actually learned yesterday.
04:36I'd almost argue not that much because some of these inconsistencies that we've seen with
04:40both quarterbacks, um, have been around for a while.
04:43And that's why you said that it looked like a training camp practice, because it did look
04:48like, you know, there were moments that made you say, Ooh, we're on to something.
04:52And then there were moments that made you kind of want to rip your hair out.
04:55Well, you're misunderstanding my correlation between what I saw yesterday in practice.
04:59Like me saying that was not a negative.
05:02Yeah, but isn't it, can't you go deeper that some of it and some of it, because some of
05:06the negatives we have seen in true.
05:08Well, I'm just saying me saying that is a reflection on, I've seen this in practice.
05:12I've seen what they've run in practice.
05:14I've seen them have success running it in practice.
05:17Okay.
05:18That's the point that I was trying to make like everything, everything that Todd Munkin called
05:24in that game yesterday, we saw already in practice.
05:29They have worked on it and get, and here's the early.
05:32The results were pretty similar as well.
05:34The plays that were not successful in practice, weren't really successful in the game.
05:39And the plays that were successful in practice were successful in that game.
05:44Like, and that, that's why I keep falling back to that.
05:48It's like, I'm watching a Browns training camp.
05:50I saw, I saw Zach Jackson posted on X that it was the same play that Gabriel and Sanders were
05:56both intercepted on.
05:57Hey, maybe for their young QBs, you just take that one out of the sheet.
06:00You just, you just crossed that one off because that was not a winning play.
06:04Yeah.
06:05So, I mean, I think there was more good than bad that came out.
06:11Look, I get the final score.
06:13Okay.
06:1334-10.
06:15Yeah.
06:15At the end, it doesn't matter.
06:17That was a practice.
06:19Okay.
06:19These don't count.
06:20It was a practice that Chicago Bears fans had to pay regular season prices to go watch.
06:26Okay.
06:27And those fans are not thrilled with the current state of affairs.
06:32I still think there's a chance they end up in Arlington Park and they don't end up in
06:36Indiana, even though that's where the wind seems to be blowing.
06:402-1-6, 4-7-4, double-0-92.
06:42What did you think of what you saw yesterday?
06:45Let's head on out to Lakewood.
06:47Jeff, you're first up on the fan.
06:48Good morning, bud.
06:50What's going on?
06:51Great job, guys.
06:52What's up, Nick?
06:53Jeff, hello.
06:54Hello, hello, hello.
06:56How y'all doing?
06:57Good, man.
06:57How are you?
06:58Yeah.
06:59Y'all had some good dialogue at the beginning.
07:01But what stood out to me, I know boxing, he knew what to read.
07:06He was going to the receivers.
07:08And the offensive line was a concern to me throughout the game.
07:12You know what I'm saying?
07:13Especially in the second half.
07:14But he had a little time to throw.
07:15But offensive line was a big concern.
07:17But they do get some guys like Shamsen, Shepcheon, Bond.
07:21You know what I'm saying?
07:22Man, they finally got some speed.
07:23But they have to utilize that speed.
07:25You know, with Bond and KC.
07:27You know what I'm saying?
07:27I like that they ended around.
07:29But you got to start utilizing that talent, man, to make effect of the team.
07:33And, Darrell, you was right on it, man.
07:35If you don't want to keep talking down on this gentleman, the quarterback,
07:39I would never forgive Andrew Barry for that Gabriel pig, though.
07:43You know what I'm saying?
07:44And I know you don't mean no ill will towards him, man.
07:47That was just a wasted pig, man.
07:49Yeah, it was.
07:49Gabriel, it was just a wasted pig, man.
07:51He's not a third-round pig, man.
07:54A third-round pig on your team, man.
07:56You got to contribute.
07:57A third, that's a top pick.
07:58That's really a top pick.
07:59Jeff, you know what makes it worse?
08:00Look up who was drafted behind him.
08:03Xavier Watts is, like, one of the premier young free safeties in this league.
08:09Like, he's going to be a player for Stefanski in Atlanta this year.
08:13Yeah, it's it.
08:15Jeff, I'm with you.
08:18Yeah, you don't want to not Gabriel, though, man.
08:20But that was just, that was not a smart move, though.
08:24Now, I ain't got nothing against the kid, man.
08:25I know a third-round pig, you can utilize that on your team.
08:29That's a starter somewhere.
08:31You know what I'm saying?
08:32Yeah.
08:32Yeah, you know what, Jeff?
08:34Don't blame the employee.
08:36Blame the person that hired him.
08:37Yeah, that is, that's reality a lot of times.
08:41And for Dylan, if he was a sixth round, if they drafted Dylan Gabriel, where they drafted
08:45Taylin Green this year.
08:47Or Sanders.
08:48Yeah, yeah, yeah.
08:49Nobody would really care that much.
08:51It wouldn't matter, but it's a third round pick.
08:54It's a top 100 pick, you know, for an organization that, you know, at the time they drafted him,
08:59was certainly rebuilding.
