00:00Good afternoon. It's a real mixed bag out there this weekend. Cloudy for some, outbreaks of rain,
00:06turning humid, but brighter in the north as we go through tomorrow. Now let's have a look at what
00:12is going on. So we've got an area of high pressure situated to the south and drawing up this
00:16southwesterly wind. Low pressure to the far northwest. This cold front is responsible for
00:21the cloud and outbreaks of rain. And then behind that we've got this ridge moving its way through
00:26later. And then an area of low pressure waiting in the wings. So that changeable theme really is
00:33going to continue even as we go into next week. Now having a look at what is out there, this
00:38is
00:38the latest. So this is the cold front bringing some heavy spells of rain across Cumbria, the Lake
00:43District and sinking its way southwards into Wales. And that theme really does continue as we go through
00:49this afternoon. So Wales is where we're going to see more of the rain building up, especially across
00:54western facing hills, not really amounting to much further towards the east. To the south of that,
01:00quite a lot of cloud, but there will be some breaks. And to the north of that, more in the
01:04way of some
01:05sunny breaks, but also a few drizzly showers. Now it's quite breezy to start, but the winds will
01:10gradually start easing as we go through the day. Now in the east, we could see temperatures, especially
01:16across the north, up to 21 degrees. Across the far south and east, that's where we'll see highs
01:22up to 24, 25 degrees. And the humidity will start increasing further as we go through tonight.
01:29Now through this evening, then this band of rain continues to build across much of western Wales.
01:35And then as we go through the evening, more rain arrives and pushes its way further into the Midlands
01:40and towards east Anglia by dawn. So a damp start here. To the south of that, a lot of clouds,
01:47some hill fog as well. Some really murky conditions. To the far north of that, though, we have the ridge
01:52building in behind that. So clearer skies developing and we'll see a real temperature contrast as we
01:58start Sunday morning. So a fresh start across Scotland. But in the south, that's where we hold
02:04on to that muggy feel. Temperature's already at around 17 or 18 degrees. So a muggy, gloomy start
02:13to the day. This is the front and it gives a bit of a wave. And that gives some uncertainty
02:18on the
02:18exact position of that cloud and rainfall. But within that warm sector, some murky conditions.
02:23So that persists as we go into much of Sunday. The rain will start petering out, but we hold on
02:30to a
02:30lot of cloud and that'll be thick enough for some drizzle, some coastal fog as well and hill fog.
02:35To the north of that, though, across much of northern England, northern Ireland, Scotland,
02:40a good deal of fine and bright weather with sunny spells here as well. It will be feeling fresher
02:47though. As you can see, Aberdeen now only at 15 degrees compared to the 21 that we'll see today.
02:53Across the south, a sticky feel with high humidity. Temperature's up at around 23 or 24 degrees.
03:01Through Sunday evening, we hold on to a lot of cloud across the south. There will be a few showers
03:05in
03:05the mix. But across the north, that's where we'll hold on to variable amounts of cloud and some clear
03:10skies as we head into the start of Monday. It's Tuesday really that the fresher air does start
