00:00Good afternoon. There is plenty of sunny spells out there, but there is a focus for showers
00:05again to the south. Having a look at the bigger picture, we're really in between systems at
00:10the moment, but we do have this area of low pressure arriving from the west as we go through
00:15this evening and overnight. So cloud outbreaks of rain. This cold front could turn heavy
00:21at times as we go through Friday, clearing its way to the south and east. So low pressure
00:26then situated to the north. But behind me, we do have an area of high pressure trying
00:31to build in as we go through the weekend. But let's take it back to the rest of this afternoon.
00:38So the main focus for showers is really going to be across southern parts of England as we
00:42head through the afternoon. To the north of that, across much of northern England, we should
00:46see some bright or sunny spells. Still a focus for showers again across Scotland. One or
00:52two of these could be on the heavy side. The cloud will start increasing though from the west
00:57in association with this area of low pressure. So turning a bit cloudier across northern Ireland
01:02and much of Wales and the Midlands as we head into the afternoon. But otherwise, temperatures
01:08around 13 or 14 degrees in any sunny spells, especially to the south. That's where we could
01:12see temperatures climb to 15 or 16 degrees. So it turns downhill across northern Ireland as we head
01:20through the afternoon and into the evening time. Showery outbreaks of rain turning persistent at
01:25times over the hills, continuing to push its way northward. So turning damp across much of northern
01:30parts of England and into Scotland. And then behind that, we actually have this cold front moving
01:35through. So across northern Ireland to start on Friday morning, some heavy spells of rain and that
01:41will eventually start pushing in to western areas as well. But otherwise, we're underneath this warm
01:47sector conditions. So that means it is going to be a mild night to come once again. So temperatures
01:53falling only around 9 to 10 degrees. So a damp picture across much of Scotland, northern England
02:01and especially across northern Ireland to start. The band of rain will continue to push in and make its
02:08way eastwards across the country. It does start fragmenting in places though, most persistent really across
02:14Devon and Cornwall. Ahead of that, a drier picture. So the rain not arriving until later into the evening
02:21time. So here, actually temperatures rising nicely. But behind that, that's where we're going to have
02:26again, a focus for showers closest to the area of low pressure. So frequent blustery showers across
02:33northern Ireland and much of Scotland. Temperatures here 13 or 14 degrees. But ahead of that, in the sunshine,
02:39highs of up to 17 or 18. So hopefully feeling quite pleasant in that sunshine. As we headed through
02:46Friday evening then, the band of rain continues to push its way eastwards. So it will eventually arrive
02:51possibly around rush hour across much of East Anglia and into the southeast of England. Behind that,
02:56some clearer spells developing. But again, closest to the area of low pressure, that's where we're going
03:01to see a continuation of these showers. Blustery at times. Coastal gales in the west. And some of
03:07these could be heavy too. Now that clears its way through that cold front as we head into the start
03:13of Saturday. Saturday, higher pressure starts building in. Still some showers around. But for
03:18more details on the weekend forecast, there'll be a video on YouTube later. That's all from me. Bye-bye.
03:23Bye-bye.
