Physique update: 185.4 lbs, weighed in really late today, at 5pm. Not super mad about where the number landed considering the timing. The bigger win: ran my fastest mile yesterday at 8:28, a real jump from where I started this running experiment.

Between the weight holding steady even with a late weigh-in and the mile time dropping fast, both signs point in the right direction. Running progress especially has moved quicker than expected this early into the experiment.

Progress isn't just the scale β€” sometimes performance tells the better story. How fast do you think your mile time could drop in your first week of running?

00:00What is up, boys, girls, ladies and gentlemen? Welcome back to the physique update.
00:03And one thing before I go over the weight, it's not an excuse, it's just a fact of the matter.
00:08I did weigh myself pretty late in the day. It's 5 p.m. I'm just now weighing myself.
00:16I'm 185.4, had a lot of stuff to do this morning, so I just didn't have a chance to
00:19actually get to it.
00:20And I'm actually not mad at the weight. I feel lighter. I have eaten a couple times,
00:26but overall I feel like my weight is definitely coming down. I ran my fastest mile yesterday
00:32in 8 minutes and 28 seconds. Pretty good for me. And the fact that it's only three days
00:38into actually getting back into running and everything like that. But here's the physique.
00:47I almost passed out. Yeah, nothing too crazy. I do feel slightly bloated, but
00:55I do feel like the physique is starting to come together. So we still have 20 more pounds,
01:0123 more pounds to be exact, I guess. But we're coming along. We're losing some weight.
01:07We're getting some definition in a few places. Some body parts are looking a little bit better.
01:12And you love to see it. So I'm going to keep on this journey, losing weight, being consistent.
01:17Big shout out to everybody who's like started running. Apparently running is like the new thing.
01:22I'm doing it specifically to rehab my leg, but like Wiz Khalifa, Denzel, shout out to you.
01:28Tevin, shout out to you. Apparently we're all runners now. So I'm just trying to join the fan
01:32club and be able to run with y'all because iron sharpens iron, or at least that's what they say.
01:37I'll see you in the next one. Peace.
01:39Peace.
01:39Peace.
01:39Peace.
01:39Peace.
