00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:20The Lord told me, go down to the palace of the king of Judah.
04:24Give him a message from me there.
04:28Say, listen, O king of Judah, who follows in David's succession.
04:33You, your officials and your subjects who pass through the gates of this palace, must listen to what the Lord
04:40says.
04:41The Lord says, do what is just and right.
04:44Deliver those who have been robbed from those who oppress them.
04:48Do not exploit or mistreat foreigners who live in your land, children who have no fathers or widows.
04:57Do not kill innocent people in this land.
05:02If you are careful to obey these commands, then the kings who follow in David's succession,
05:07and ride in chariots or on horses, will continue to come through the gates of this palace,
05:13as will their officials and their subjects.
05:17But if you do not obey these commands, I solemnly swear that this palace will become a pile of rubble.
05:24I, the Lord, affirm it.
05:27For the Lord says concerning the palace of the king of Judah,
05:31This place looks like a veritable forest of Gilead to me.
05:36It is like the wooded heights of Lebanon in my eyes.
05:40But I swear that I will make it like a wilderness whose towns have all been deserted.
05:46I will send men against it to destroy it with their axes and hatchets.
05:51They will hack up its fine cedar panels and columns and throw them into the fire.
05:58People from other nations will pass by and say,
06:02Why has the Lord done such a thing to this great city?
06:06The answer will come back.
06:08It is because they broke their covenant with the Lord their God and worshipped and served other gods.
06:16Do not weep for the king who was killed, do not grieve for him, but weep mournfully for the king
06:23who has gone into exile,
06:25For he will never return to see his native land again.
06:30For the Lord has spoken about Shalom son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah, but was
06:38carried off into exile.
06:41He will never return to this land, for he will die in the country where they took him as a
06:47captive.
06:47He will never return to this land again.
06:52Sure to be judged is the king who builds his palace using injustice and treats people unfairly while adding its
07:00upper rooms.
07:02He makes his countrymen work for him for nothing.
07:05He does not pay them for their labor.
07:07He says, I will build myself a large palace with spacious upper rooms.
07:12He cuts windows in its walls, panels it with cedar, and paints its rooms red.
07:20Does it make you any more of a king that you outstrip everyone else in building with cedar?
07:27Just think about your father.
07:29He was content that he had food and drink.
07:32He did what was just and right, and things went well with him.
07:38He upheld the cause of the poor and the needy.
07:41And so things went well for Judah.
07:44The Lord says, that is a good example of what it means to know me.
07:49But you are always thinking and looking for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means.
07:55Your eyes and your heart are set on killing some innocent person and committing fraud and oppression.
08:04So the Lord has this to say about Josiah's son, King Jehoiakim of Judah.
08:10People will not mourn for him, saying, this makes me sad, my brother.
08:15This makes me sad, my sister.
08:18They will not mourn for him, saying, poor, poor Lord, poor, poor majesty.
08:25He will be left unburied like a dead donkey.
08:29His body will be dragged off and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.
08:35People of Jerusalem, go up to Lebanon and cry out in mourning.
08:40Go to the land of Bashan and cry out loudly.
08:45Cry out in mourning from the mountains of Moab.
08:47For your allies have all been defeated.
08:52While you were feeling secure, I gave you warning.
08:55But you said, I refuse to listen to you.
08:58That is the way you have acted from your earliest history onward.
09:04Indeed, you never paid attention to me.
09:07My judgment will carry off all your leaders like a storm wind.
09:11Your allies will go into captivity.
09:16Then you will certainly be disgraced and put to shame because of all the wickedness you have done.
09:22You may feel as secure as a bird nesting in the cedars of Lebanon.
09:28But oh, how you will groan when the pains of judgment come upon you.
09:33They will be like those of a woman giving birth to a baby.
09:37The Lord says,
09:39As surely as I am the living God, you, Jeconiah, king of Judah, son of Jehoiakim,
09:44will not be the earthly representative of my authority.
09:49Indeed, I will take that right away from you.
09:54I will hand you over to those who want to take your life and of whom you are afraid.
09:59I will hand you over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his Babylonian soldiers.
10:06I will force you and your mother who gave you birth into exile.
10:09You will be exiled to a country where neither of you were born and both of you will die there.
10:16You will never come back to this land to which you will long to return.
10:22This man, Jeconiah, will be like a broken pot someone threw away.
10:27He will be like a clay vessel that no one wants.
10:30Why will he and his children be forced into exile?
10:34Why will they be thrown out into a country they know nothing about?
10:39Oh, land of Judah, land of Judah, land of Judah, listen to what the Lord has to say.
10:46The Lord says, enroll this man in the register as though he were childless.
10:52Enroll him as a man who will not enjoy success in his lifetime.
10:55For none of his sons will succeed in occupying the throne of David, or ever succeed in ruling over Judah.
11:06This is the word of the Lord.
11:08Thanks be to God.
11:14O God, I need to come into thine in Periast.
11:24Thy holy temple have made it fire.
11:30And may to their roots are there that we've got stones.
11:38The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be beaten to the cross of the earth,
11:51and the flesh of thy saints went to the midst of the land.
12:00The blood that they shed, I thought, on every side of Jerusalem,
12:12and there was no one to bury them.
12:20We are become an open shame to our enemies,
12:30and there was no one to bury them in our hands.
12:42The blood that they shed, I thought, on every side of Jerusalem,
12:58O Lord, my indignation upon the heathen that hath not stood up on my name,
13:20O Lord, my indignation upon the heathen that hath not stood up on my name,
13:41O Lord, my indignation upon the heathen that hath not stood up on my name,
13:48O Lord, my indignation upon the heathen that hath not stood up on my name,
14:10O Lord, my indignation upon the heathen that hath not stood up on my name,
14:18I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
14:35I am sick, and what will my people say, when I am sick, and what will my people say, when
14:55is now their God?
15:04I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
15:33I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
15:39I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
16:17I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
16:33I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
16:37I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
17:02I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
17:18I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
17:27I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
17:39I am sick, and what will my people say, when is now their God?
17:47O Lord, God of hosts
17:53My love is lovely
17:57I live with my people that pray
18:04O be the strength with the red of tears
18:13When the rich men enter the tears of tears to the day
18:21Love has laid us a very strife
18:27And for our neighbors
18:31And the maiden is love as the stone
18:38Tell us again, O Lord, God of hosts
18:44To the light of my countenance
18:50And we shall be born
18:55Thou hast brought the light of the meeting
19:03Thou hast brought the light of the light
19:09Thou hast brought the light of the light
19:12Thou hast brought the light of the light

28:04The Epistle to the Romans, Chapter 13
28:10Let everyone put himself under the authority of the higher powers,
28:14because there is no power which is not of God, and all powers are ordered by God.
28:20For which reason everyone who puts himself against authority puts himself against the order of God,
28:27and those who are against it will get punishment for themselves.
28:32For rulers are not a cause of fear to do the good work, but to the evil.
28:38If you would have no fear of authority, do good and you will have praise.
28:44He is the servant of God to you for good.
28:48But if you do evil, have fear, for the sword is not in his hand for nothing.
28:53He is God's servant, making God's punishment come upon the evil doer.
29:00So put yourself under authority, not for the fear of wrath, but because you have the knowledge of what is
29:06right.
29:07For the same reason make payment of taxes, because the authority is God's servant,
29:13to take care of such things at all times.
29:17Give to all what is their right, taxes to him whose they are, payment to him whose right it is,
29:24fear to whom fear, honour to whom honour is to be given.
29:29Be in debt for nothing, but to have love for one another,
29:33for he who has love for his neighbour has kept all the law.
29:38Do not be untrue in married life.
29:40Do not put to death, do not take what is another's.
29:44Do not have desire for what is another's.
29:47And if there is any other order, it is covered by this word.
29:51Have love for your neighbour as for yourself.
29:55Love does no wrong to his neighbour,
29:57so love makes the law complete.
30:01See then that the time has come for you to be awake from sleep,
30:05for now is your salvation nearer than when you first had faith.
30:10The night is far gone and the day is near,
30:13so let us put off the works of the dark,
30:16arming ourselves with light,
30:18with right behaviour as in the day.
30:22Not in pleasure making and drinking,
30:24not in bad company and unclean behaviour,
30:27not in fighting and envy,
30:30but put on the Lord Jesus Christ
30:32and do not give thought to the flesh to do its desires.
30:38This is the word of the Lord.
30:40Thanks be to God.
30:47Collect for peace.
30:50O God, who is the author of peace
30:52and lover of concord,
30:54in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
30:58whose service is perfect freedom,
31:01defend us, your humble servants,
31:03in all assaults of our enemies,
31:06that we, surely trusting in your defence,
31:10may not fear the power of any adversaries.
31:13Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
31:20Amen.
31:21Collect for our safe preservation.
31:25O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
31:27almighty and everlasting God,
31:29who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
31:33defend us in the same with your mighty power
31:36and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
31:41neither run into any kind of danger,
31:44but that all our doings may be ordered
31:47by your governance
31:49to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
31:53Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
31:57Amen.
32:01Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
32:06and let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
32:11Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
32:16Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words.
32:21When unpredictable circumstances arise,
32:24do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
32:29Lord Jesus, Son of God,
32:32it is better not to live than to live without you.
32:36I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day
32:39and for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
32:45Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
32:49to my Lord and Saviour.
32:52Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
32:56never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
33:00Control my will and teach me to pray,
33:03to believe, to hope, to suffer,
33:07to forgive and to love.
33:10Amen.
33:14We pray for the work of your faithful servants
33:18throughout the world, Lord.
33:21Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
33:27May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
33:30the love of God,
33:32and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
33:34be with us all today
33:36and for ever more.
33:38Amen.
