00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:22and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The book of Job, chapter 32.
04:21So these three men refused to answer Job further, because he saw himself as righteous in his own eyes.
04:34Then Elihu, son of Barakal the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became angry.
04:39He was angry with Job for justifying himself rather than God.
04:44He was also angry with Job's three friends, because they could not find an answer, and so declared Job guilty.
04:54Now Elihu had waited before speaking to Job, because the others were older than he.
05:00But when Elihu saw that the three men had no further reply, he became angry.
05:08And so Elihu, son of Barakal the Buzite, spoke up.
05:13I am young, but you are elderly.
05:16That is why I was fearful, and afraid to explain to you what I know.
05:21I said to myself, age should speak, and length of years should make wisdom known.
05:29But it is a spirit in people, the breath of the Almighty that makes them understand.
05:35It is not the aged who are wise, nor old men who understand what is right.
05:42Therefore I say, listen to me.
05:45I, even I, will explain what I know.
05:49Look, I waited for you to speak.
05:52I listened closely to your wise thoughts, while you were searching for words.
05:58Now I was paying you close attention, yet there was no one proving Job wrong.
06:04Not one of you was answering his statements.
06:07So do not say, we have found wisdom.
06:11God will refute him, not man.
06:16Job has not directed his words to me, and so I will not reply to him with your arguments.
06:24They are dismayed, and cannot answer any more.
06:27They have nothing left to say.
06:30I have waited, but because they do not speak, because they stand there and answer no more,
06:36I too will answer my part.
06:38I too will explain what I know.
06:42For I am full of words, and the spirit within me constrains me.
06:47Inside, I am like wine that has no outlet, like new wineskins ready to burst.
06:55I will speak, that I might find relief.
06:58I will open my eyes, that I might answer.
07:03I will not show partiality to anyone, nor will I confer a title on any man.
07:10For I do not know how to give honorary titles.
07:14If I did, my Creator would quickly do away with me.
07:19This is the word of the Lord.
07:22Thanks be to God.
07:29Let God arise, and let His heaven be this garden.
07:37Let them all soul as waiting, leave it for you.
07:46Like as a smoke vanishing, so shall the drive them away.

20:34some surprising things, and we want to know what they mean. All the Athenaeans and the
20:42foreigners who lived there used to spend their time in nothing else than telling or listening
20:47to something new. So Paul stood before the Areopagus and said, Men of Athens, I see you
20:56are religious in all respects, for as I went around and observed closely your objects of
21:02worship. I even found an altar with the inscription to an unknown God. Therefore what you worship
21:12without knowing, I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, who
21:18is the Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands, nor is he served
21:25by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives life and breath and everything
21:33to everyone.
21:36From one man he made every nation of the human race to inhabit the entire earth, determining
21:43their set times and the fixed limits of the places they would live, so that they would
21:48search for God and perhaps grope around for him and find him, even though he is not far
21:55from each one of us. In him we live and move about and exist, even as some of your own
22:01poets
22:02have said, for we too are his offspring. Since we are God's offspring, we should not think
22:10the deity is like gold or silver or stone, an image made by human skill and imagination.
22:20Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, he now commands all people
22:26everywhere to repent, because he has set a day on which he is going to judge the world in
22:33righteousness, by man whom he designated, having provided proof to everyone.
22:44Now when they heard about the resurrection from the dead, some began to scoff, but others
22:49said, we will hear you again about this.
22:55So Paul left the Areopagus, but some people joined him and believed, and among them were
23:01Dionysius, who was a member of the Areopagus, and a woman named Demaris, and others with them.
23:09This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
23:20Collect for Peace
23:22O God, who is the author of peace and lover of concord, in knowledge of whom stands our
23:29eternal life, whose service is perfect freedom. Defend us, your humble servants, in all assaults
23:37of our enemies, that we, surely trusting in your defence, may not fear the power of any adversaries.
23:46Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
23:54Collect for our safe preservation
23:57O Lord, our Heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
24:06defend us in the same with your mighty power, and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
24:13neither run into any kind of danger, but that all our doings may be ordered
24:20by your governance, to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
24:29Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me, and let me devote myself completely
24:41to your sacred will to your sacred will. Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
24:48Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words. When unpredictable circumstances arise,
24:56do not let me forget that everything comes from you. Lord Jesus, Son of God,
25:05it is better not to live than to live without you. I thank you, God, for the gift of this
25:11new day,
25:12and for all the good deeds you will help me do today. Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
25:21to my Lord and Saviour. Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
25:28never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow. Control my will and teach me to pray,
25:36to believe, to hope, to suffer, to forgive and to love. Amen.
25:47We pray for the work of your faithful servants throughout the world, Lord.
25:54Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
26:00May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
26:07be with us all today and for evermore. Amen.
