00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:40Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
01:10Let us praise the Lord.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the
02:07Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in the Holy Spirit, and apostolic apostles and in the Holy Spirit, and the Geez of life of
02:16the Holy Spirit.
02:16I believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic church.

02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.

23:31The Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 28
23:38When we entered Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him.
23:45After three days, Paul called the local Jewish leaders together.
23:49When they had assembled, he said to them,
23:52Brothers, although I had done nothing against our people nor the customs of our ancestors,
23:57from Jerusalem I was handed over as a prisoner to the Romans.
24:02When they heard my case, they wanted to release me, because there was no basis for a death sentence against
24:08me.
24:10But when the Jews objected, I was forced to appeal to Caesar,
24:14not that I had some charge to bring against my own people.
24:19So for this reason I have asked to see you, and to speak with you.
24:25For I am bound with this chain, because of the hope of Israel.
24:30They replied, We have received no letters from Judea about you,
24:35nor have any of the brothers come from there and reported or said anything bad about you.
24:41But we would like to hear from you what you think,
24:45for regarding this sect, we know that everybody speaks against it.
24:51They set a day to meet with him, and they came to him where he was, staying in even greater
24:57numbers.
24:58From morning until evening he explained things to them,
25:03testifying about the kingdom of God,
25:05and trying to convince them about Jesus,
25:08from the law of Moses and the prophets.
25:11Some were convinced by what he said, but others refused to believe.
25:17And so they began to leave, unable to agree amongst themselves,
25:21after Paul made one last statement.
25:24The Holy Spirit spoke rightly to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah,
25:29when he said,
25:54Therefore be advised that this salvation from God has been sent to the Gentiles,
26:04Paul lived there for two whole years in his own rented quarters,
26:08and welcomed all who came to him,
26:11proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ
26:14with complete boldness and without restriction.
26:19This is the word of the Lord.
26:22Thanks be to God.
26:28Collect for Peace
26:31O God, who is the author of peace and lover of concord,
26:36in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
26:39whose service is perfect freedom,
26:42defend us, your humble servants,
26:44in all assaults of our enemies,
26:47that we, surely trusting in your defence,
26:51may not fear the power of any adversaries,
26:54through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord.
26:58Amen.
27:03Collect for our safe preservation
27:06O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
27:09Almighty and everlasting God,
27:10who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
27:15defend us in the same with your mighty power,
27:17and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
27:22neither run into any kind of danger,
27:25but that all our doings may be ordered
27:27by your governance,
27:31to do always that which is righteous in your sight,
27:35through Jesus Christ our Lord.
27:38Amen.
27:42Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
27:47and let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
27:53Direct me and help me each hour of this day,
27:57control my thoughts and feelings
27:59in all my deeds and words.
28:02When unpredictable circumstances arise,
28:05do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
28:11Lord Jesus, Son of God,
28:13it is better not to live than to live without you.
28:17I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day,
28:21and for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
28:27Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
28:30to my Lord and Saviour.
28:33Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
28:37never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
28:41Control my will and teach me to pray,
28:45to believe, to hope, to suffer,
28:48to forgive and to love.
28:52Amen.
28:56We pray for the work of your faithful servants
28:59throughout the world, Lord.
29:02Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
29:09May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
29:11the love of God,
29:13and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
29:15be with us all today
29:17and for evermore.
29:21Amen.
