00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
02:26and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is
03:03in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:07Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The book of Job, chapter 41.
04:20Can you pull in Leviathan with a hook, and tie it down its tongue with a rope?
04:26Can you put a cord through its nose, or pierce its jaw with a hook?
04:31Will it make numerous supplications to you?
04:34Will it speak to you with tender words?
04:37Will it make a pact with you, so that you could take it as your slave for life?
04:43Can you play with it like a bird, or tie it on a leash for your girls?
04:49Will your partners bargain for it?
04:52Will they divide it up amongst the merchants?
04:56Can you fill its hide with harpoons, or its head with fishing spears?
05:02If you lay your hand on it, you will remember the fight, and you will never do it again.
05:09You see, his expectation is wrong.
05:12He is laid low even at the sight of it.
05:17Is it not fierce when it is awakened?
05:20Who is he, then, that can stand before it?
05:24Who has confronted me that I should repay?
05:27Everything under heaven belongs to me.
05:32I will not keep silent about its limbs, the extent of its might and the grace of its arrangement.
05:39Who can uncover its outer covering?
05:42Who can penetrate to the inside of its armour?
05:46Who can open the doors of its mouth?
05:49Its teeth all around are fearsome.
05:54Its back has rows of shields, shut up closely together, as with a seal.
05:58Each one is so close to the next, that no air can come between them.
06:04They lock tightly together, one to the next.
06:07They cling to each other and cannot be separated.
06:11Its snorting throws out flashes of light.
06:14Its eyes are like the red glow of dawn.
06:18Out of its mouth go flames.
06:21Sparks of fire shoot forth.
06:24Smoke streams from its nostrils,
06:26As from a boiling pot over burning rushes.
06:30Its breath sets coals ablaze,
06:33And a flame shoots from its mouth.
06:37Strength lodges in its neck,
06:39And despair runs before it.
06:43The folds of its flesh are tightly joined.
06:46They are firm on it, immovable.
06:50It's heart is as hard as rock,
06:53Hard as a lower millstone.
06:55When it rises up, the mighty are terrified,
06:58At its thrashing about, they withdraw.
07:02Whoever strikes it with a sword will have no effect,
07:06Nor with the spear, the arrow, or the dart.
07:10It regards iron as straw,
07:12And bronze as rotten wood.
07:16Arrows do not make it flee.
07:19Sling stones become like chaff to it.
07:22A club is counted as a piece of straw.
07:24It laughs at the rattling of the lance.
07:28Its underparts are the sharp points of potsherds.
07:33It leaves its mark in the mud,
07:35Like a threshing sledge.
07:38It makes the deep boil like a cauldron,
07:41And stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment.
07:45It leaves a glistening wake behind it.
07:48One would think the deep had a head of white hair.
07:52The likes of it not on earth.
07:56A creature without fear.
07:59It looks on every haughty beard.
08:03It is king over all that are proud.
08:07This is the word of the Lord.
08:10Thanks be to God.
08:17And to thee, O God, do we give thanks.
08:24Yea, unto thee, do we give thanks.
08:30Pray ye, Lord, for it shall die.
08:34Pray ye, Lord, for it shall die.
09:04Pray, May we give thanks.
09:09Why ye, Lord, for it shall die.
09:20And to thee, O God, do we give thanks.
09:29Set not up your Lord alive, and sing not with unspilted neck.
09:41For promotion cometh neither from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the south.
09:58And while God is the judge, he could get the love and sweateth of another.
10:13For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red.
10:25For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red.

21:08the forces and their own, glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it
21:28was
21:28in the beginning, is not ever stopping, but without them. Amen.
21:52The Acts of the Apostles chapters 18 and 19
21:58After he had spent some time there, Paul left and went through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all
22:05the disciples.
22:08Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, arrived in Ephesus. He was an eloquent speaker, well versed in
22:16the scriptures.
22:17He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and with great enthusiasm he spoke and taught accurately the
22:25facts about Jesus, although he knew only the baptism of John.
22:32He began to speak out fearlessly in the synagogue, but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside
22:39and explained the way of God to him more accurately.
22:44When Apollos wanted to cross over to Archaea, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him.
22:52When he arrived, he assisted greatly those who had believed by grace, for he refuted the Jews vigorously in public
23:01debate, demonstrating from the scripture that Christ was Jesus.
23:09While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the inland regions and came to Ephesus.
23:15He found some disciples there and said to them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?
23:22They replied, No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.
23:29So Paul said, Into what then were you baptized?
23:33Into John's baptism, they replied.
23:36Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to
23:43come after him, that is, in Jesus.
23:48When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, and when Paul placed his hands
23:53upon them,
23:53the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began to speak in tongues and to prophesy.
24:00And there were about twelve men in all.
24:04This is the word of the Lord.
24:07Thanks be to God.
24:14Collect for Peace
24:16O God, who is the author of peace and lover of concord,
24:20Lord, in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life, whose service is perfect freedom.
24:27Defend us, your humble servants, in all assaults of our enemies,
24:32that we, surely trusting in your defence, may not fear the power of any adversaries.
24:40Through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
24:48Collect for our safe preservation
24:51O Lord, our Heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God,
24:56who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day.
25:00Defend us in the same with your mighty power and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
25:07neither run into any kind of danger,
25:10neither run into any kind of danger,
25:11but that all our doings may be ordered by your governance
25:15to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
25:20Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
25:23Amen.
25:27Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
25:32and let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
25:38Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
25:42Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words.
25:47When unpredictable circumstances arise,
25:51do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
25:56Lord Jesus, Son of God,
25:59it is better not to live than to live without you.
26:03I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day,
26:06and for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
26:12Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
26:15to my Lord and Saviour.
26:18Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
26:22never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
26:27Control my will and teach me to pray,
26:30to believe, to hope, to suffer, to forgive and to love.
26:37Amen.
26:41We pray for the work of your faithful servants
26:44throughout the world, Lord.
26:48Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
26:54May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
26:57the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
27:01be with us all today and for evermore.
27:05Amen.
