05:19Then you will take delight in the Lord, and he will answer your prayers.
05:25Commit your future to the Lord.
05:27Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf.

05:38Wait patiently for the Lord.

05:42Do not fret of the apparent success of a sinner, a man who carries out wicked schemes.
05:49Do not be angry and frustrated.

05:53That only leads to trouble.
05:55Wicked men will be wiped out.
05:58But those who rely on the Lord are the ones who will possess the land.
06:04Evil men will soon disappear.
06:06He will stare at the spot where they once were.
06:09But they will be gone.
06:12But the oppressed will have possessed the land, and enjoy great prosperity.
06:19Evil men plot against the godly, and viciously attack them.
06:24The Lord laughs in disgust at them, for he knows that their day is coming.
06:30Evil men draw their swords and prepare their bows, to bring down the oppressed and needy, and to slaughter those
06:38who are godly.
06:40Their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.
06:47The little bit that a godly man owns is better than the wealth of many evil men.
06:52For evil men will lose their power.
06:55But the Lord sustains the godly.
06:58The Lord watches over the innocent day by day, and they possess a permanent inheritance.
07:06They will not be ashamed when hard times come.
07:10When famine comes, they will have enough to eat.
07:14But evil men will die.
07:16The Lord's enemies will be incinerated.
07:20They will go up in smoke.
07:23Evil men borrow, but they do not repay their debt.
07:27But the godly show compassion, and are generous.
07:32Surely those favoured by the Lord will possess the land.
07:35But those rejected by him will be wiped out.
07:40The Lord grants success to the one whose behaviour he finds commendable.
07:46Even if he trips, he will not fall headlong, for the Lord holds his hand.
07:53I was once young.
07:55Now I am old.
07:57I have never seen a godly man abandoned, or his children forced to search for food.
08:04All day long he shows compassion, and lends to others.
08:09And his children are blessed.
08:13Turn away from evil.
08:15Do what is right.
08:17Then you will enjoy lasting security.
08:21For the Lord permits justice, and never abandons his faithful followers.
08:27They are permanently secure, but the children of evil men are wiped out.
08:35The godly will possess the land, and will dwell in it permanently.
08:40The godly speak wise words, and permit justice.
08:45The law of their God controls their thinking, and their feet do not slip.
08:52Evil men set an ambush for the godly, and try to kill them.
08:56But the Lord does not surrender the godly, nor allow them to be condemned in a court of law.
09:04Rely on the Lord, obey his commands.
09:07Then he will permit you to possess the land, and you will see the demise of evil people.
09:15I have seen ruthless evil men growing in influence, like a green tree grows in its native soil.
09:23But then one passes by, and suddenly they have disappeared.
09:27I looked for them, but they could not be fed.
09:31Take note of the one who has integrity.
09:35Observe the upright.
09:36For the one who promotes peace has a future.
09:41Sinful rebels are totally destroyed.
09:44Evil men have no future.
09:46But the Lord delivers the godly.
09:49He protects them in times of trouble.
09:52The Lord helps them and rescues them.
09:55He rescues them from evil men, and delivers them.
09:58For they seek his protection.
10:03Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
10:08As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.

10:24The Book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 11
10:30Put out your bread on the face of the waters.
10:33For after a long time it will come back to you again.
10:38Give a part to seven, or even to eight,
10:41because you have no knowledge of the evil which will be on earth.
10:45If the clouds are full of rain, they send it down on the earth.
10:49And if a tree comes down to the south, or to the north,
10:53or in whatever place it comes down,
10:56there it will be.
10:59He who is watching the wind will not get the seed planted,
11:03and he who is looking to the clouds will not get in the grain.
11:08As you have no knowledge of the way of the growth of the bones in the body of her who

14:11When Jesus was going up to Jerusalem,
14:14he took the twelve disciples on one side,

14:18we are going to Jerusalem,

14:22into the hands of the chief priests,
14:23and the scribes,
14:25and they will give orders for him to be put to death,
14:28giving him up to the Gentiles
