00:26I buried this for nearly 30 years.

00:48Story 18, Ben. Take two. Marker.
00:58I am a retired Marine, doing nearly 24 years in the Marine Corps.
01:03About every three or four years, the Marine Corps moves you,
01:07your whole household.
01:08It uproots you.
01:10Connecticut was open.
01:11And I said, well, I'll take to Connecticut
01:14because my wife is from Connecticut.
01:17Constantly moving wasn't the hardest part of Ben's job.
01:20Among his responsibilities was the sad duty of informing
01:24the next of kin when a soldier had died in combat.
01:29Then when we start the procedure of getting the remains home,
01:33I get to the funeral home.
01:35I open it to make sure his uniform and everything is correct.
01:38I'm going to make sure he's ready for a presentation.
01:42And then I'm there with the family every day.
01:50We're looking for a place to live at now in Connecticut
01:53to settle down.
01:55We were looking around the state, you know,
01:57some of the nicer areas.
01:58And somehow this email popped up with this house in Meriden.
02:02So we're like, we'll go check it out, you know?
02:07So as we pulled in the driveway,
02:09we saw this huge barn in the back.
02:14Ben and his wife Janice experienced
02:17a strong draw towards the barn.
02:35There was people that packed up all their tubs
02:37and stuck them out there.
02:39And they all said Janice on it, which was my wife's name.
02:43And took that as a sign, first of all,
02:45that her name was all over the inside of the barn.
02:55So when we went in the house to see the family
02:58who owned the house, a gentleman and his wife,
03:01it turned out he was a Marine.
03:03So with all those signs, we said, no,
03:05this must be the house.
03:11We bought the house in December and ended up moving in
03:14in January.
03:16But I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the barn.
03:22And suddenly, it just started coming to me.
03:26And I started hanging up my flags
03:30that we had flown in Fallujah.
03:31We started putting up things on the walls
03:35just of my time in the Marines.
03:45We have pictures of everybody who was killed
03:48when we were over there, of everybody
03:51who had to notify their families.
03:54Those who have come back and have committed suicide,
03:57we've added their pictures to the wall.
03:59So when people come up there, they can see them,
04:03remember them the way they were.
04:05The barn became a memorial to the soldiers
04:08that Ben had encountered during his military career.
04:19As Ben settled into his new home,
04:22he continued to be drawn to the barn.
04:26There's times you can go up there and it's just kind of odd.
04:32And the wind started picking up.
04:34We started hearing the dogs running back and forth
04:36upstairs in the barn.
04:40So we went to go check on the dogs.
04:45And the dogs weren't up there.
04:47There was nobody there.
04:48There was nothing there.
04:51Came back downstairs and the wind and everything just stopped.
05:01I was in my house one night, about 9, 9.30,
05:04when I suddenly get, I get these feelings when my hair stands up.
05:08They say you need to come out to the barn.
05:15I have no explanation for it.
05:16It's just, I get a sense and I go out to the barn.
05:24Ben was certain that he had heard footsteps upstairs.
05:40You can clearly hear footsteps and running back and forth,
05:43up there, shuffling.
05:51And the wind and everything just stopped.
05:59And then as I looked on the wall,
06:02one of the pictures of the guys
06:05had been taken off the nail.
06:13And when you look at that little ledge there,
06:16there's no way it could have fell that far.
06:24It was obviously taken down, set.
06:27And it was off the nail.
06:28Not only was it off the nail, but the nail was gone.
06:32I said, something's wrong.
06:33And I couldn't figure out what.
06:34And I sat there for a little while.
06:38And I said, something's happened to somebody.
06:44Or somebody's going in that spot.
06:51And it's not going to be a Marine.
06:53Which at the time, I was very concerned,
06:55because my oldest son was in Afghanistan in the Army.
07:01Ben was deeply troubled, but did his best
07:04to put the worrying thoughts out of his mind.
07:08The next day, I went to a benefit concert.
07:11Someone comes up to me and says,
07:13hey, Ben, we have a mother over here.
07:15And she's crying.
07:16Do you mind talking to her?
07:18I said, yeah, absolutely.
07:19I'm talking to her.
07:20And it turned out her son was in the Army.
07:23He had lost both legs in Afghanistan.
07:27Came back and got killed in a car accident.
07:30So I was trying to make her feel better
07:31and talking to her about the barn.
07:34And she goes, well, I have a picture of him.
07:37Can you hang it in the barn?
07:43So I brought it back.
07:44This was the next day after that night at the barn.
07:48So I brought that back, and I put that picture.
07:50So it was almost just the crazy coincidences.
07:55I don't know.
07:56But I mean, the barn told me there was going to be somebody.
08:08My mind started saying, OK, am I imagining this stuff?
08:12Am I making this stuff up for myself?
08:14You know, because being in a war so many times,
08:17or, and I almost thought, do I need to go to a psychiatrist?
08:26And I had this barn gathering.
08:30I do it once a year.
08:32And Kurt happened to come to it.
08:35He was a Vietnam era vet.
08:37I met Ben when we were both members
08:39of a veterans organization that was concerned
08:42with fundraising for veterans activities.
08:45And he found out what I do is a vocation,
08:51paranormal investigation.
08:53And we talked about a few minutes.
08:54He goes, you know, if you'd like, you know,
08:57I'd like to come and set up at the barn.
09:00At the time, I wasn't good with it.
09:04It was many, many months before I felt comfortable with the notion
09:08of him coming and doing the cameras.
09:10And I didn't want to say there's nothing here
09:16and maybe kill it for the families who did believe.
09:19I was still very neutral.
09:20But I was at the point where my head was really confused
09:24on everything that was happening in the barn
09:25and that so many other people were noticing also.
09:29Ben's hope was that Kurt would provide answers
09:32to the unexplained events in the barn.
09:36The day of the investigation, we arrived about 7 o'clock.
09:44We set up our cameras.
09:46We set up recording equipment, infrared illuminators.
10:06I'm getting something here.
10:07It's really hot here, Ben.
10:22We're going to take it all.
10:27To be there.
10:29Move.
10:30Get back.

10:51Former Marine Ben Granger was having strange experiences in his barn.
10:58Yep. I'm getting something here. It's really hot here, Ben.
11:02He turned to a paranormal investigator to find answers.
11:09I've been investigating the paranormal for about 35 years.
11:12This was probably the most intense experience that I personally had had in all that time.
11:18Definitely wanted to let me know it was around, and it did.
11:26Dave.
11:28Oh, man.
11:31Dave.
11:36But I was basically, holy shit. That's all I could say.
11:40We were able to confirm a lot of the things that Ben had claimed.
11:45You could see a dark figure standing to the left of him.
11:49There's no mistaking that is a human body.
11:58They realized that they're not crazy, that there is something going on there, and someone else was able to prove
12:04it.
12:04Did you see that?
12:05Yeah.
12:07And just as the shadow figure passed in front of Ben, we'd heard the name Dave, loud and clear.
12:14Unbelievable.
12:18The next steps were to bring Karen Hollis in.
12:22Karen Hollis is a psychic medium with a gift for contacting spirits.
12:28Karen Hollis.
12:29Before I even got to Ben's house, I was turning the corner.
12:33And no sooner did I turn the corner, then I heard in my backseat of my vehicle,
12:38Hi, I'm Dave.
12:40Dave.
12:42And that I knew I had a discarnate spirit with me already.
12:47Karen, as a clear audience medium,
12:50has the ability to make contact with deceased family members, deceased friends.
12:57She was able to tell Ben things that she could not possibly have had prior knowledge of.
13:03My take on Ben, when I mentioned Dave's name,
13:07was that he immediately kind of recoiled and looked at me in a very confused way,
13:14as if to say, how do you know who Dave is?
13:20As Karen began her investigation, she knew she was not alone.
13:50And David was the first casualty that I had to notify the mother.
13:57Karen explained to Ben that the barn memorial had drawn the spirits of Dave and other fallen soldiers.
14:04I do believe a memorial acts as an invitation to open up a portal for spirits to come back and
14:10come through.
14:11Spirits will use that memorial or that invitation to maybe get one last message across.
14:17I started to experience voices.
14:23Each one of the men in the barn started to tell their story one after the other.
14:34And then I would see and experience flashes of the battle of his particular death.
14:42Dave stood by each one of the young men as they came forward,
14:48and he let them tell their stories first.
14:54He was the last one to tell his story.
15:17Former Marine Ben Granger was having strange experiences in his barn and had invited in a medium.
15:23Oh, man.
15:24She quickly made contact with one of the soldiers from Ben's past.
15:32Dave left himself for very last to tell his story.
15:37And he spoke of how he was hit and how the bullet went and hit him in the head and
15:46how he was killed.
15:48He gave me very specific information to tell Ben,
15:52knowing that if he gave me that evidential information, Ben would know that it was definitely him.
15:57And he said to tell Ben that he specifically appreciated the fact that Ben had taken special care to make
16:06sure that the mortician had worked to cover the left-hand side of his head
16:13because it had taken out a part of his skull.
16:17And he did not want his mother or his father to be upset by that wound.
16:24I knew this because when I prepared the body for viewing at the funeral home,
16:29we had placed a big white towel underneath his head to kind of hide all the bandages where the funeral
16:36home had fixed him up.
16:37So when you looked at him, you had no idea there was a hole in the side of his head.
16:42He was the very first one that I notified when I moved to Connecticut.
16:46I had to go notify a family that he was killed.
16:51And he almost burst into tears because he knew it was Dave.
16:54He knew there was no way that it could be anyone else.
17:01Knowing that the ghost soldiers were sending positive messages, Ben was reassured they meant no harm.
17:06He felt the spirit supported his efforts to honor them.
17:14And these young men wanted him to know how much they appreciated him.
17:18In fact, one of the young men even spoke about that there was always an honor guard there at the
17:24barn.
17:26And that's why they were hearing footsteps.
17:28And they would hear the footsteps all night long sometimes.
17:31And it's the most well-guarded barn, I think, in Meriden, Connecticut.
17:37I do believe that the type of people we are when we're alive carries over into the spirit realm.
17:44In sense of duty, of protection that you did once here on Earth, you can have that same desire to
17:51do that in the spirit realm.
17:53As a Marine, your job's never done.
17:55You take care of your Marines.
17:56And it felt a sense that even though these guys had lost their lives, there's quite a few on the
18:00wall,
18:03that I was still in a sense taking care of them and allowing them to maybe get closure with their
18:08family,
18:09see their families, put them even in spirit form in a better or happier place,
18:17which is the barn.
18:23Losing a life while serving in the military can leave a lot unsaid.
18:26With no preparation to leave the physical world,
18:29fallen soldiers have been known to travel across continents to get a message home.
18:45First in interview, take on.
18:50I joined the military in 2006, and I did deploy to Afghanistan with Task Force 110 in May of 2010.
19:01I was excited, but scared.
19:04The idea of going overseas to me is why I joined the military.
19:08And it's kind of in my family.
19:11As far as my name goes back, there's somebody that's been in the military.
19:15On the 24th of May, we were doing a normal resupply mission.
19:22I was the rear security for the vehicle.
19:25So in the crewman trade, we call it the GIB, the guy in back.
19:29He stands in the back of the vehicle and watches out of the rear.
19:35And my vehicle ended up striking in IED.
19:40The explosion would have a lasting effect on Christian.
19:43I was ejected about 120 feet or so from the vehicle.
19:49After that, all I remember is yelling for my driver.
19:54And I got no response.
19:56Christian's driver had been badly wounded.
19:58I remember doing first aid on him.
20:03And then I lost consciousness due to shock.
20:09He unfortunately was killed that day.
20:17Because of my injuries, I had to come home early.
20:22And my daughter was born November 11th.
20:27So I was able to witness the birth and see my daughter born.
20:32And I remember holding her for the first time.
20:35It was the best day of my life.
20:37After the trauma of combat, Christian was grateful for the tranquility of family life.
20:44But the calm would prove to be short-lived.
20:50I started hearing knocking that you kind of just brush off.
20:54Because he thought it's your house creaking or expanding.
20:58And it just intensified.
21:00That's all.
21:26I thought somebody was in the house.
21:31And, uh, I have some kit from when I was overseas.
21:54Christian D'Andrea had recently experienced the death of his friend while on duty in Afghanistan.
22:00Quickly followed by the birth of his daughter.
22:04His instincts were on high alert when he thought he heard an intruder in his home.
22:09And I freaked out and grabbed my gun.
22:25I kind of walked through around my house, and there's nothing there.
22:32I kind of just tried to brush it off and ignore it.
22:38But the events were not so easily ignored.
22:44One day, I was talking to my neighbors.
22:46I think me and my neighbor were outside having a cigarette.
22:49We were just talking, and I asked him, like, what time are you putting the girls to bed?
22:53And he's just like, well, they've been in bed since 6.30, 7?
22:59And I was just like, oh.
23:01He goes, why?
23:02I was like, well, I keep hearing banging and running over from your place.
23:05And he said the same thing.
23:06And he said, well, I thought you guys were fooling around or whatever, because I can hear the same thing.
23:12And that's when I started thinking that there's something else there.
23:18One of Christian's friends also had strange experiences in the house.
23:22What she told me is she saw three things standing behind her.
23:26Ah!
23:35And then they all turned and walked away.
23:37And when she turned around, there was nothing there.
23:40I was like, okay, well, you're over-exaggerating.
23:44I think there's something in the house.
23:46I don't know what it is.
23:47So she went over next door and got my neighbor.
23:52And he came over and searched my house, and there was nothing there.
23:56She was scared to be in there.
24:02If I'm in the basement, if I'm walking past the basement stairs,
24:05looks like there's someone standing at the bottom of the stairs.
24:10And then I look, and there's nothing there.
24:12But you can hear footsteps, legitimate footsteps, walking up and down the hallway.
24:18I thought someone was in the house.
24:21I don't even know how to explain it.
24:23You can feel a vibe of, like, somebody else is in the house.
24:31And that bothered me.
24:52When you're dealing with something that I like to term as a phantom draft or a phantom vibration,
24:57it's a lot different.
24:59You feel a sense that not only is your spider senses tingling, but you know that something's there.
25:05And you may catch something at the corner of your eye.
25:07When it gets that strong, the indications are a good percentage that you may be visited by an unknown entity.
25:22I was in my house alone.
25:25Isabella was with her mother for the weekend.
25:27And I was laying in bed.
25:31And it sounded like someone was actually punching the wall behind, from the room behind me.
25:39My headboard actually shook and smacked up against the wall a few times.
25:44At first, I was scared.
25:46Like, what's going on?
25:48Who's that?
25:49What is that?
25:50The force went from shaking the bed to pressure on Christian's chest, disabling him.
25:56I can't move, I can't yell, I can't talk, I can't do anything.
26:01And it feels like someone's sitting or standing on my chest.
26:10It almost looks like someone's kind of standing in the room, watching, I guess.
26:17And I wake up a little while later and I'm just scared.
26:20Like, what just happened to me?
26:23A lot of times the spirit will appear at nighttime.
26:27And I've dealt with many cases of spirits going, hovering over somebody's bed or beside them.
26:33A lot of times it is to give a message.
26:35And that theme is always reoccurring.
26:37It's there for a reason.
26:39What that reason is, it's hard to detect.
26:42But usually it's to give a message, to tell you something, maybe forewarn you of something.
26:48Or simply to say, I know you can see me.
26:51What are you going to do about it?
26:54The events were escalating.
26:56Christian's daughter became scared to sleep in her bedroom.
27:01She said, there's a man in my closet.
27:04There's a man in my room.
27:06And I asked, like, okay, does he hurt you?
27:09Does he touch you?
27:10Does he talk to you?
27:11What does he do?
27:12And all she would say is, he talks or he stands there.
27:18And it scares her.
27:19It's dark.
27:21I actually thought somebody was coming into my house.
27:24But my doors were always locked.
27:26You have to walk through.
27:28You have to walk past my room to get into my, to get to Isabella's room.
27:32And it was winter.
27:34And so I looked outside and there was no footprints leading up to her, any of the windows.
27:40And while the doors were still locked in the morning, I took the closet door off.
27:46And actually, I put a camera in her room to see what was going on.
27:52And I caught nothing.
27:55And I thought I was sleepwalking.
27:57So I put baby powder in the door or in the hallway.
28:04It was out of my door.
28:06Nothing.
28:06Nothing was ever there.
28:08So I thought, okay, something's going on.
28:29After returning from a tour of duty in Afghanistan, Christian D'Andrea had been experiencing strange events in his home.
28:39My mom was, she was sitting on the couch.
28:43Isabella was at daycare, I believe.
28:49And a picture flew off the wall.
28:53So it was just, okay.
28:54She called me right away.
28:55I came home.
28:56I looked.
29:12Well, she didn't touch anything.
29:14She left it there so I could see it.
29:15And it was a picture of Isabella about three and a half feet from the wall.
29:22And my mom said it just came off and gone.
29:28A spirit would push over a picture or move an object to get attention if it's trying to tell you
29:34something.
29:34And it has enough energy to manifest itself in our physical realm to move an object.
29:40Because it does take a lot of energy to do that.
29:42But most of the time it is to grab your attention of something it wants to tell you.
29:48When I saw the picture frame, it was, everything became real.
29:53And I was nervous because I didn't know, I didn't know what it was.
29:56It's, it's now taking objects and moving them.
30:00Like that's glass.
30:01What happens if that happened?
30:03Because Isabella has a chair underneath where that was and that's where she puts her shoes on.
30:08So I was just like, what happens if Isabella was there?
30:11And this glass falls and hits her.
30:14So that's when I got scared and that's when I contacted Katie.
30:18Because now it's moving things and throwing things.
30:21Like what's next?
30:24Katie Turner is a paranormal investigator with the Petawawa Supernatural Research Society.
30:29As soon as you'd be walked into the house alone, I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there.
30:36Whoever it was did not want me there.
30:39I was just a little skeptical, so I didn't tell her much about my past.
30:45I told her basically what was going on, that a picture just flew off the wall.
30:51My daughter's sometimes afraid of everything.
30:54I need help.
30:58There was something clearly wrong in the situation.
31:03This one particular entity did not want us in the residence.
31:12I was getting pain in my arm and I was getting pain in my head.
31:15I was getting a very bad headache.
31:27I could feel, I could hear, I could see an entity.
31:35As Katie started to make contact with the spirit, she was guided downstairs to the basement.
31:43We have a PSB7 spirit box.
31:46And what it does is it sweeps through radio frequencies at an extremely fast rate.
31:50And it is able to pick up, it's almost like a phone for the spiritual side.
31:55So they are able to talk through it and we can hear them in real time.
31:59So we ask questions and it will answer.
32:03And as soon as I got into the basement, I knew right away.
32:06That's where I picked up Christian's friend.
32:15She asked, are you attached to the house or are you attached to the family?
32:22And you can hear family.
32:25What do you think of Christian?
32:27He's a good man.
32:29Are you worried about him?
32:31Yes.
32:36She said it was someone that's, someone that you knew.
32:42I could feel an entity.
32:43He was very standoffish.
32:46He did not want us to be there.
32:47He was nervous.
32:48It wasn't as if he was evil.
32:49He just didn't want us there.
32:52In that area was some kit and equipment that Christian had.
32:58And I believe that there was an attachment there to it.
33:02Katie told him that the spirit was his friend and driver the day of the explosion in Afghanistan.
33:11So I was like, okay, well, maybe this, maybe she's not crazy.
33:15Maybe she's real.
33:16You have people in this world that are very strong and they're dominant and they have a lot of will
33:21and determination.
33:22I believe that same will and determination can alter the frequencies in the supernatural realm to give more of a
33:30powerful energy as to somebody who is maybe a little bit more reserved while living.
33:36It was a lot to take in at once, a little emotional, but it felt good at the same time,
33:46knowing that it's not some random man.
33:49It's somebody I know, who I know was a gentle guy, a gentle man, meant no harm to anybody, just
34:00wanted attention.
34:01And now he has a war hero to this country.
34:09So he may be gone, but he's still here.
34:12And it just proves that they're gone but not forgotten.
34:18Now that Christian understands the presence in his home, the violent episodes have stopped.
34:23And he knows that his fallen comrade remains by his side.
34:33When a person passes away without standing business to take care of, that's often enough of a reason for them
34:40to stick around in the physical world until they can give their message.
34:58Story 10, take one.
35:03My mother and I and my brother moved into the home when I was about five years old.
35:08That was probably 1957.
35:13My great-grandfather built the home.
35:16He ordered it through Sears catalog, put it together by a number, followed the directions.
35:24I grew up there, went to school there, have still friends and family in the neighborhood.
35:30It's a fabulous house, but many skeletons live in that house.
35:40My mother and I were sitting in the front room, and it was about 10 o'clock at night on
35:45a school night.
35:47My daughter was in bed.
35:51She had been there since like 8 o'clock.
36:01And all of a sudden, she comes flying down the steps with this scared look on her face, saying the
36:08stereo came on.
36:09And I just kind of, yeah, okay.
36:12It's just the radio, huh?
36:15It's okay.
36:16I'm asleep, okay?
36:17Okay.
36:18And I says, something must have started it, and was about 20 minutes later, after I tucked her back in.
36:31Again, it just turned on by itself.
36:35She said, Mom, I'm not sleeping in there because the stereo turned on again.
36:40And I thought, well, maybe the plug was jostled.
36:44You know, I just kind of wrote it off.
36:47I didn't think any more about it.
36:50But the stereo switching on by itself turned out to be just the beginning.
36:56It was after that that I started hearing things in the kitchen.
37:00I worked afternoons, so I would come in to relax, unwind, watch the news.
37:08And I would hear things jiggle, like when somebody opens a refrigerator, the bottles.
37:18And cupboard doors, same thing.
37:21I hear them open.
37:23I have a magnetic strip that holds them shut.
37:27And I'll hear a click, like somebody opened it.
37:35I'd go in, and the refrigerator door was closed.
37:41Nothing's moved.
37:42Nothing's changed.
37:43Everything's the same.
37:48A day or two later, I was upstairs, making sure everything was ready for the next day of school.
37:57And I came down to the steps from upstairs, and the kitchen cupboard doors, there was three of them open.
38:04And I went to check to see if my son had been up in the kitchen, and he wasn't.
38:11And I shut the doors, went back and sat down.
38:15I was doing some homework myself.
38:25And the door was open, and I didn't hear it open.
38:29And I was sitting there.
38:38And then when my son was in the basement, he made the basement his bedroom.
38:43And I had gone to the basement steps to say goodnight.
39:13Judy Spihar had lived in her family home for decades.
39:16When she started noticing strange events.
39:19The incident started to occur more frequently and became more frightening.
39:26And I turned around, and there was this dark image right behind me.
39:33It was not black, but almost a dark gray.
39:39And I covered my face.
39:46I would tell people my stories, and they'd all look at me like I was crazy.
39:51It's just an imagination thing.
39:55You know, nothing like that happens.
39:57There's no such thing as spirits or ghosts.
40:01Judy struggled to understand the weird incidents.
40:05I'm sleeping one night, and then I could hear something, but I wasn't sure what it was.
40:15And I could feel like somebody walking with their hands and knees up the side of me.
40:25I could feel the indent in the mattress.
40:30It was scary.
40:31At first, I thought it was the dog moving.
40:35And I noticed the dog was in the same spot.
40:37And then I was thinking it was the cat, because I have two cats.
40:42And there was nothing there.
40:44I have a streetlight that comes in through the window.
40:48And there was nothing there, but I could feel the indent.
40:53The bizarre events could no longer be ignored.
40:56Judy needed help.
40:59My sister-in-law introduced me to Ken so that we could find out if there really was something
41:05or if it was my imagination.
41:11When we first got to Judy's house, the overwhelming feeling in the house was that the presences that
41:20were there, it did feel like family.
41:24During the investigation, we kept getting a series of EVPs called Beth.
41:33Beth.
41:34Beth.
41:37Very emphatic.
41:39It was definitely a man's voice.
41:44When Ken told me, I was flabbergasted.
41:47I didn't know what to say, because I hadn't thought of Beth in years.
41:52Beth was married to my brother, Mike, who had passed away.
41:57Mike had died in the late 1970s in a farming accident.
42:02I believe that they may tap around the person that they want and go to somebody else because
42:09maybe they can communicate better with them.
42:11Maybe that can be more of a, I'd like to use the term, a validation of who it is.
42:19And then that person could take the message over, and it's easy to hear that way sometimes.
42:24I went on Facebook to see if I could find her, and luckily I did.
42:32Mike and I were married in December of 68.
42:36We had four days to plan our wedding.
42:39We had 10 days together, honeymooning before he left for Vietnam.
42:44So January of 70 was when he returned, and we filed for divorce, because when he returned,
42:55he was so, so different than he was when he left.
42:59A lot of years, I carried a lot of guilt because I didn't stick with him like our vows said.
43:09Beth was not the only one with unsettled emotions.
43:13Well, at this point, it's pretty clear that somebody wants to get a message to Beth.
43:20So I went to the investigation, and it was after midnight.
43:26In my mind, I was more concerned about what does this spirit want with her in the first place.
43:41And I kept feeling cold breezes on the back of my neck, or the hair would stand up on my
43:47arm.
43:59What I sensed was that there was a lot more energy in the room.
44:09Beth heard something that blew her mind.
44:15We could hear Mike saying, Beth, I love you.
44:20Oh, it's still kissing.
44:22Goosebumps.
44:24Beth's dead ex-husband, Mike, had made contact.
44:28I believe entities can come back if they have unfinished business.
44:33Especially if they die tragically, they can come back to give a message.
44:40My whole body got that sense of being shocked.
44:45I mean, from my fingers to my toes, and all the hair in my body stood up.
44:50And it was like a jolt of electricity shooting right through me.
44:59Hearing from him, and hearing him say that, that he still loved me.
45:03And it made me realize that he wasn't angry at me,
45:08or that I could let go of the guilt I'd been carrying around.
45:15And it just gave me so much more peace.
45:23So that was important for me to know that he wasn't, like, mad at me.
45:28Or it's almost, I felt like he was still hanging around
45:32because he needed to get that message to me,
45:34because he could see all these years I was carrying around
45:37all this guilt for not staying with him.
45:44Mike wanted her there for a reason.
45:48He wanted to make a closure, I believe,
45:51of what was going on with him and her.
45:54He wanted her to know that he was okay.
45:57And that what they had done was the right thing.
46:00And how do you feel about the house now?
46:02I always feel comfortable in the home.
46:05I love it.
46:07And I just wish I could figure out who's crawling up the bed.
