00:00This is Louie. He's an extremely terrified dog we rescued less than a week ago and today we're going to
00:06attempt to build his confidence.
00:08This is not going to be easy, but first we need to begin our day picking up poo.
00:14Let's be honest, nobody wants to see us do this. We don't want to do it, but it has to
00:18be done.
00:19So let's go to feeding the dogs all of their breakfast.
00:22Let's feed the dogs food, speed run edition.
00:25Ivy in the crate, Zaza in the crate, Becca here without a cone.
00:29Kobe and Moki in the kitchen, yes. Louie outside, Kaya, Bruno, and last but not least, Jockey.
00:35And that is how you speed run feeding nine dogs in the morning.
00:39And we took Becca's cone off for the morning routine.
00:43So unfortunately it has to go back on her.
00:46Luckily it's quite easy to put the cone on Becca because she's very treat motivated.
00:53Well done.
00:54And we also clean her paw every single morning because her bandage is off.
00:58So if you didn't know, Becca needs one of her toes amputated because of a previous trauma.
01:05She had a biopsy done.
01:06And so this is why she's got like a scab on her toe that needs cleaning.
01:11And so we have to put it in salt water every single morning.
01:15Well, not every morning.
01:17And a lot of times during the day, basically just to clean it.
01:20But what's really good with Becca is she kind of just like adapts to everything.
01:24And so like you can see now her paw is literally completely submerged in water.
01:28As long as we give her a treat, she's fine.
01:30It's all right.
01:30Now Becca is all good for the day.
01:32It's time for Louie to have his first ever training session.
01:36So we're doing the same confidence building game we have done with our other terrified rescue Jockey.
01:42We've got both the scared dogs in here in hope that Jockey can help show Louie what to do.
01:47Unfortunately, Louie is a bit more terrified than Jockey first was and he did not want to move from his
01:53spot.
01:54Dilnaz didn't want to force him to do anything.
01:56Even just watching and being in the same room as all of us is a good start.
02:01But the one dog that surprised us most is Jockey.
02:04She has come on leaps and bounds over the past two weeks and she is really starting to grow in
02:10confidence.
02:11So Louie is clearly quite uncomfortable.
02:13So we brought in Zaza to see if it helps him build up any confidence.
02:18His little face is so cute.
02:20You can see he's still unsure.
02:22So we decided to call it there.
02:23Even just watching dogs interact with the game is going to be good for him.
02:27We had like 10 minutes left of the session.
02:30So we thought why not bring in a crowd favorite Bruno for some training.
02:34So we have got Bruno to do some free work.
02:37Oh good boy.
02:38Hello.
02:39Just to see how he gets on.
02:41Good boy.
02:42Go on then.
02:43Straight into it.
02:44Wow.
02:46Let's see if he will move any of the balls.
02:50Oh nice.
02:52The noise didn't scare him.
02:53That's good.
02:53He's a little bit unsure.
02:54See his back leg?
02:56Yeah.
02:56So he's a little bit unsure.
02:57But not to the point where he's like going I'm checking out.
03:02Right.
03:02So he's actually showing nice little bit of resilience and problem solving.
03:07He might chew on it and that's okay.
03:08That's a bit of play coming out.
03:10Nice.
03:11Oh it's stuck in his mouth.
03:15You okay then Bruno?
03:16Oh is it stuck?
03:18Yeah.
03:19Okay.
03:22He's like no I wanted that.
03:24How funny that he really likes the cone.
03:26Yeah.
03:27Oh back to the trees.
03:29Oh good boy.
03:31That's what I was hoping he would do.
03:33Oh was there a tree under the bone?
03:33So it shows he can problem solve.
03:36Yeah.
03:37Right?
03:37This is probably so great.
03:39Yes.
03:39And this is what I was saying to JJ earlier.
03:41This is a really nice way of teaching developing confidence but with no pressure.
03:46Yeah.
03:47He just does it at his own time he works at his pace not our pace.
03:51Because often in training we can make the error and behavior we can make the error of trying
03:55to push the dog's schedule to our schedule rather than allowing them time to process it how they want
04:02to process it when they want to process it and that's often the danger we just push them too far
04:08too fast.
04:09Yeah it's loving this.
04:10He is.
04:11And all this sniffing you can hear him doing.
04:13Brilliant.
04:13So Bruno's training session is done but later on in the video Ivy has a meet and greet with two
04:20adorable pugs and she may be going to her forever family.
04:24One thing that is really great about Louis is that he's actually coming inside to sleep here
04:29more and more which shows that he's just looking for some comfort.
04:33Really happy with that.
04:35He's doing good just a bit wary of Dylan as she's a new person which is completely understandable.
04:39So Louis has obviously done his first training session and it was a lot for him bless him
04:45and we have been asking on our social media whether we should change his name to Spud or Bagel.
04:51Oh you're blocking Louis.
04:53The reason why is because we found that if we give the dogs like a really cute name I love
04:58how by the
04:59way I love how all the dogs are like Zaza are like posing here as if like it's for something.
05:04Anyway the reason why we wanted to change his name is because we found that if we give the dogs
05:07like
05:07a really cute name they're more likely to get adopted and we'd probably say the majority of
05:12their votes are for Bagel.
05:15So Louis's new name is Bagel.
05:18By the way can we just appreciate how cute Bruno is.
05:22I mean look at him he's like falling onto my knee.
05:25You're the cutest boy.
05:27He loves fuss and attention.
05:30Loves it bless him.
05:31So the entire reason we're doing this series is because we're fundraising for Happy Shelter where
05:36pretty much all of these dogs came from.
05:38Now if you can't afford to donate you can simply click that subscribe button and we'll donate a penny.
05:43You can follow us on Instagram we'll be posting every single day on there and that'll donate another
05:48penny and you can donate a third penny by adding us on Snapchat.
05:51I have had a look and since the series started we have gained 28 000 followers across all social
05:59platforms which means so far we'll be donating 280 pounds which isn't enough.
06:05So here's what I'm going to do for you guys.
06:07Whatever we end up donating at the end of the series.
06:10So let's say we gain 50 000 followers it'll be 500 pounds.
06:14We're going to double it to a thousand pounds for donations.
06:18So get following, get subscribing, get adding to be able to donate without actually spending any money.
06:24Moki leave Kobe alone.
06:26Now let's go to Happy Shelter where we can show you one of the most terrified rescues we've ever seen.
06:32So this is Bucky trying to move very slowly right now.
06:39He is from at this point the infamous kill shelter where dogs have had to fight each other for food,
06:47water, got abused by people and unfortunately you can see that it's taken its toll.
06:54He's terrified.
06:55So obviously I'm not going to go anywhere near him but it's really sad to see
06:59because I'm sure this isn't actually his personality.
07:02He looks like he looks like he wants to be such a good boy but it's really sad.
07:08And him and his little friend here
07:12She's like don't look at me.
07:13Came from the same shelter so this is probably why they're in the same place in the same
07:16little caged area.
07:18Not sure how old he is
07:20but he kind of just stays in here the whole time.
07:22I'm just super super scared of people.
07:25And it's sad but what is nice is the fact that Happy Shelter took him in
07:29and he's living a much better life here.
07:31At least he gets fed, gets water and just gets to be left alone.
07:35Which is from the sounds of things a lot less than what was happening in the other shelter he was
07:40at.
07:41Sorry a lot more, not less.
07:43He's getting a lot more here in the other shelter than he was at.
07:45Donations for Happy Shelter will help to keep socialising these dogs
07:51because obviously we have volunteers come and help out.
07:55They also help with their food, blankets, toys, stimulation, fresh water, sanitary products,
08:03first aid for the dogs.
08:04He's being brave, look at him.
08:06He is, he's being brave boy.
08:07He's like help me, the humans are in my space.
08:11So we are walking Ivy to meet Began and Simon.
08:15Hello girl.
08:16And they're two pugs, two pugs right?
08:18Yes, two pugs.
08:19And they're two pugs.
08:20So I'm going to go ahead and make an assumption here that she's going to be a little nervous.
08:25Look at that.
08:25Her ears are already propped up.
08:27She's like, come on, go.
08:28Good girl.
08:32Yes, good girl.
08:34You're very brave.
08:35Well done.
08:37Good girl.
08:40Yeah, she's cautious.
08:41Once she gets her confidence after a day or two, she's all right.
08:45Yeah, yeah.
08:46Yeah, she is crazy.
08:48Is she the eight year old?
08:50Yeah.
08:50Oh my God.
08:53She's eight going on two.
08:54Isn't that crazy?
08:54Oh, this is good.
08:55Isn't that crazy?
08:56Oh wow.
08:57Hello crazy.
08:58It's all right.
08:59I want to play, I want to play.
09:01Yeah.
09:01Oh.
09:05Oh, you are done.
09:07I cannot believe she's eight.
09:09Yeah, she is.
09:10Yeah, she's a big girl.
09:12Everyone thinks she's a boy because she's so big.
09:15Oh, I would love that.
09:20Good girl.
09:21Oh, that's good.
09:21She's got a little sniff there.
09:23Sure.
09:23Yeah.
09:24Yeah, he's really good.
09:24She might not be sniffing.
09:25Oh, big girl, you're going to go.
09:27Oh, I'm loving this one.
09:29Yeah, we do, we do.
09:30But don't worry, I'll always be like,
09:32hello guys, please, can you send some pictures?
09:34Ivy girl, it's time.
09:36Oh, be a good girly.
09:40Guys, thanks for coming all this way.
09:42Yeah, thank you so much.
09:43Nice to meet you.
09:44Yeah, you're going to come without us.
09:46I'm just kind of tired now.
09:48So now Ivy is on her way to her forever home.
09:51Let's check in on donations.
09:53So let's see where we are at.
09:56Go on, leave Becca alone.
09:56She's poorly.
10:00We did it.
10:01We did it.
10:02Marky, we did it.
10:03Oh, let me not get too excited.
10:04Sorry, because all the other dogs are going to get scared.
10:06Well, we're at £30,878.
10:11That is insane.
10:13Oh my God, you guys are crazy.
10:17So we've got a whole bunch of new top donors.
10:21We've got Francois again.
10:22So she's donated like over £1,500 in total.
10:27That is insane.
10:28Thank you so much.
10:29Please reach out to us on Instagram.
10:30We'd love to send you a personal video.
10:32We've got RJ Jesus with £1,000.
10:35We've got Bernard with £400.
10:38Michael with £300.
10:39Like this is crazy.
10:41And then when we look at our more recent donations,
10:43we've got Lydia with £43.
10:46We've got Michael with £300.
10:47Alice with £5.
10:49Sky Gay with £50.
10:51I don't know how you pronounce that.
10:52Just wow.
10:53Like I cannot believe that we've actually done this.
10:56And we're only like,
10:57so we've still got like another two weeks left to go in the series.
11:00Thank you guys so much to everybody that has donated.
11:02Like honestly, like I'm in shock that we've actually hit this already,
11:05but we're going to keep going.
11:07We're going to continue.
11:08So now that we've hit £30,000,
11:11we have booked to take all of these dogs to a enclosed field.
11:16Like we cannot wait for that.
11:18They're going to have the best time.
11:19That video will come out on Tuesday because we had to get a bit of time,
11:24you know, to get organising for transport,
11:25being able to book the slot, et cetera, et cetera.
11:28And we have now got a new goal of £40,000.
11:32If we're able to hit £40,000, we're going to create something like this.
11:37We're going to hang up like a huge canvas with 10 dogs on there,
11:42all in silhouettes and every single donor's name is going to be on there.
11:45If you've donated more, then your name is going to be a little larger.
11:49But even if you've only donated a small amount,
11:51you're still going to be on there.
11:53Every single person that has made this come true is going to be on that picture frame.
11:58And we're going to hang it right in our lounge.
12:00So that basically every single future Golden Kirby family video,
12:04you guys are going to be in it.
12:05We thought it was just like a really cool, nice incentive,
12:08something really heartfelt that we can basically frame in our home.
12:11You guys are all going to be a part of it and it's going to be with us forever.
12:16So can we hit our next target of £40,000?
12:20I'll leave that up to you guys.
12:23So to celebrate hitting £30,000 on Sunday,
12:27we're going to have a little party on our live stream with all the dogs.
12:30So come and join us.
12:31That will be at 6pm UK time, which is 1pm Eastern time.
12:36And we'll see you guys on Monday.
