00:00The sunk system and the boat not even working properly. The sunk system, then toilets had a backup. It was
00:06a total nightmare. Something which, you know, I think I need constantly to get over.
00:12Mechanical issues plagued the vessel according to the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited, NITCO. Adding to what Mr. Bennett said
00:20was a sea of torture to and at the port in Scarborough, near to shore but never landing till shortly
00:27after midnight on Wednesday.
00:29It learned its way straight to Tobago and we actually reached about 11.50 and I was able to get
00:37off at 12.05 this morning. The situation was nobody shared any information what was going on. Actually, they came
00:46on just a few minutes before when it was in Tobago. Water said that the ramp is being occupied by
00:52another vessel and we still have to wait.
00:54Mr. Bennett said the vessel drifted around Scarborough until the Blue Wave Harmony was removed from the Scarborough port. While
01:03on board, during the ordeal, the cafeteria was closed.
01:07There was a little old lady next to me who was diabetic and her sugar level went down and we
01:11had to go and get something for her to eat. And if anybody knows about the boat, passengers are not
01:17allowed outside. So after that time, passengers were very agitated on the vessel.
01:21In a release, the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited, NITCO, stated during the 3 p.m. sailing of the vessel
01:29from Porto, Spain, it experienced a mechanical issue that caused all engines to operate at elevated temperatures.
01:37As a precautionary safety measures. As a precautionary safety measure, the vessel's speed was reduced to approximately 11 knots. This
01:45is compared to its normal cruising speed of 15 to 19 knots.
01:49The journey was further extended by operational delays at both terminals as the Galleon's Passage shares berthing facilities with the
01:59Blue Wave Harmony.
02:01NITCO said the technical assessments of the vessel are underway and the matter is being closely monitored.
02:07NITCO apologized for the inconvenience caused and thanked passengers for their patience.
