00:00Even me just saying that, it's just like, now he hates a woman.
00:03But thankfully, I'm on my own platform, I'm my own man.
00:06Whatever I see, I can respond to, I can react to.
00:08It voids my opinion.
00:10Just for what, Shiloh? Just what's your intention?
00:12This is because Mary Kay Cabot said the Browns have given Deshaun Watson the inside track to be a starter?
00:17Hopefully, he's at home with Shiloh, and he's barking out plays to Shiloh.
00:26What the hell are we doing?
00:27Audio courtesy of Emmanuel Ocho, Shiloh Sanders' Twitch account, and Cleveland.com.
00:35And controversy.
00:37And controversy and drama.
00:39A story that was picked up by the New York Post, by TMZ.
00:45This thing was everywhere yesterday.
00:47Well, that's going to be a lot of fun today.
00:50Coming into studio today is the head coach of Cleveland Browns, Todd Munkin.
00:54That's what he wants to get into, I'm sure.
00:58All right.
00:58Well, that's where I feel bad.
01:00I feel bad for Shiloh because...
01:02You do?
01:02You just know how this works.
01:03You know that he's seen this, and then...
01:08Oh, you do?
01:08Wow, this is crazy.
01:09Well, he has to...
01:11He has to be professional at all times.
01:14And I think since he's been here, I know that people have looked to try to find their faults.
01:21Anytime, Shiloh, if there's a misstep.
01:24But I gotta be honest.
01:25Like, I don't think he's had these missteps that people think he has had.
01:29I think he's handled, you know, this role.
01:33I tweaked him a little bit from when he took questions as the third stringer in the locker room after
01:39a game.
01:40I'm like, ah, third stringer should not be heard from on a game day, you know, post-game.
01:45But people corrected me and said, hey, they came up to him.
01:49The media came up to him.
01:51And I'm like, yeah, and they continue.
01:54They will always come up to him because people care about what he has to say.
01:58And he chooses his words pretty carefully, I think, at times.
02:02So, you know, he's gonna be asked about this at times.
02:04Like, his brother.
02:05You know, a lot of these athletes have relatives that have platforms now.
02:09If you notice, Patrick Mahomes' brother, you haven't heard from him in a couple of years.
02:14They silenced him.
02:15They silenced that dude.
02:16There's been family members who have been kind of quieted by their more famous family members.
02:23Who can't deal with any loose ends.
02:25Don't want to deal with any loose ends.
02:26I'll be honest.
02:27And I didn't really think we were going to go down this road.
02:29But, like, remember very early on in LeBron's career, his mom was seen at every game, in the tunnel,
02:37at times having choice words for certain individuals.
02:40And then that disappeared.
02:42Yeah.
02:43Kind of ends.
02:45Especially if you're on that high of a standing.
02:47I mean, Mahomes is a superstar.
02:49LeBron's a superstar.
02:50Trudor's a star.
02:51Has a very large fan base there.
02:53He's following.
02:54It's very odd.
02:55Like, listen.
02:55I saw some of the reactions yesterday.
02:57I saw the TMZ stuff.
02:58I can't believe it was on TMZ, for the love of God.
03:02But, you know, it was a nasty comment.
03:06It shouldn't have been made.
03:08I understand that some people had taken it a different way.
03:11I found that to be obtuse.
03:14I thought that, like, hey, he didn't even make that excuse for it.
03:18He didn't really make an excuse for himself, to be honest with you.
03:21No, not at all.
03:22He just kind of, in so many ways, said, I have something.
03:25He basically said he had something against Mary Kay.
03:26He didn't have something against women, is what Shiloh Sanders said in that Twitch account video, right?
03:30Yeah.
03:30I mean, we've got the whole minute 16.
03:33He's defensive of his brother.
03:35Listen, this is, it's, again, I have to say over and over, it's not what I wanted to hear.
03:40But I have to accept it and understand the logic behind it.
03:43The one is a veteran.
03:44One is a guy who has experience in this league.
03:47The guy has, I mean, Todd Munkin is a 60-year-old head coach.
03:51Damn it, I hate to be this way.
03:52I really, really, really do.
03:54I think Todd Munkin's fun.
03:56I think he can be a lot of fun.
03:57And clearly, I don't want to sit there and talk about the guy being let go before he even starts
04:02his real NFL job winning football games or in football games in the NFL.
04:07I think it's insane.
04:08But he understands what this league is.
04:11He's been around this league for 40 years or been around major football for 40 years.
04:14So he understands all this stuff.
04:15He saw it himself.
04:17He was an offensive coordinator for a one-and-done head coach here in Cleveland.
04:20So he understands how these things are.
04:22You are very, I don't think the Browns intend to let him go at the end of the year.
04:25Or if he wins only six games, there's a problem.
04:28No, I don't think that at all.
04:29But he understands that he has to keep this thing as tight and ready to go as possible.
04:33And he can't care, even though he's going to be in here and hopefully we'll have some fun with the
04:38guy coming up in less than 40 minutes.
04:40He can't care that I really want Shador to start.
04:44He can't care about that.
04:45And he doesn't.
04:46And he won't.
04:47He has to do what's best for the guys who he just drafted, the guys who are veterans, the guys
04:52who are on his football team.
04:53And if that means that Deshaun Watson ends up being the starter, then I just have to accept that.
04:58And I have to hope the guy plays well because I'm a Browns fan.
05:00And I have to accept that they made the decision based on probably how they look in training or how
05:05they look in before training camp,
05:07how they look in T-shirts and shorts, and how they look just based on their physical prowess.
05:12Because Deshaun Watson is an imposing physical character and also based on their history.
05:17One guy has played at an all-pro level in the past.
05:19That was way long ago.
05:21And the other guy hasn't yet.
05:22So if you have to make these decisions, we said this back in January, Anthony, that you knew this.
05:28You knew this.
05:29Just because I'm mad doesn't mean I go ripping on Mary Kay if you told me I rip you because
05:34I'm with you and I'm right here to your face.
05:36But I'm not going to go rip people for telling me bad news just because I didn't like the news
05:40being told to me.
05:40Because I assumed it was going to be that way.
05:42But think about this.
05:43This made national news.
05:45And this was based off one report that one quarterback might be a little bit ahead of another quarterback.
05:53What's it going to be when there could be an actual decision made?
05:58Like, how is he?
06:00Too bad.
06:01You say too bad.
06:02But we know what's different about Shador and his fan base and how his family operates.
06:07They are reality TV 24-7.
06:11So the fact that already Shiloh makes his public remarks and then he went on a podcast and had to
06:18even talk about it more.
06:19We've had this argument many times before.
06:21I go out and I'm about in Cleveland, Ohio, at all parts of the city, and I don't hear this
06:28in real life.
06:29I don't.
06:30There's definitely people who are in real life who want Shador to be the starter.
06:33But they're like, eh, well, you know, usually it comes down to the money.
06:36I'm like, I don't think they care about paying them $46 million.
06:38As of them don't care about money and paying guys.
06:40If it works out, it works out.
06:41If it doesn't, it doesn't.
06:42I don't think they care about wringing every single bit of penny out of the investment that they can because
06:47they're paying the guy money.
06:48I just think they want to win football games, frankly.
06:50And if he ends up giving them a better chance to win football games, you just hired a new head
06:54coach, then fine.
06:55Go ahead and make that decision.
06:56Again, I'm not fighting the logic behind any of this.
06:59And again, when I said I agree with Mary Kay, I don't need a guy.
07:01Like somebody was tweeting at me earlier.
07:03Social media reactions are brought to you by Tone, if you can say it for me.
07:06Shibon Jewelers, Cleveland's premier jewelry star.
07:07Thank you very much.
07:09Is that, well, I don't, like Mary Kay wants it done as soon as possible to name a starter.
07:14I don't need it to be done right now, but I want it to be done before training camp.
07:18I absolutely want it to be done before training camp.
07:20We're going to clarify this with Todd today about the June date.
07:22I thought he said he wanted it done before training camp.
07:24So we'll clarify with him coming up at 8 o'clock.
07:26But I want it done before training camp because last year was just an abomination of the sport,
07:31of how that all went down.
07:33I mean, really it was.
07:33They weren't equipped to do any of that stuff.
07:36They weren't equipped to give what was necessary.
07:39It did not help that the guy you took in the third round looked inadequate.
07:43It didn't help for anything.
07:44So I have to avoid that because I've got to try to win if I'm Todd Munkin.
07:48So, yeah, if you name it, going into training camp and ends up being Deshaun Watson,
07:52I can be upset.
07:54But I accept the logic behind it, and I'll say that until I'm blue in the face.
07:58And I don't care about anybody on the Internet.
08:00I don't care because I don't believe that that's real life.
08:02I don't believe that when I see people out on the road and shake hands with Browns fans,
08:06which I do every single day, they're not sitting there screaming about that sort of stuff
08:09and saying nasty things about Mary Kay and her reports and things like that.
08:13That's real life.
08:14And for Todd Munkin, he don't care about that.
08:16And really, the guys in uniform and the guys who are on the staff can't care about any of that
08:20stuff either.
08:21This is less real than it's ever been.
08:24They shouldn't.
08:25That's logical, everything you just said.
08:28But you know what happens if Deshaun Watson gets the starting quarterback nod,
08:35and it's no longer just a report from a reporter.
08:38It's the actual depth chart.
08:40You know the stuff people are going to say about Todd Munkin.
08:43His whole career, just like Kevin Stefanski, it doesn't matter about how you've interacted with players
08:49and athletes your entire career, you're going to be branded all these very bad terms the minute it happens.
08:55And I know that because I've seen it.
08:57And I see what they're saying about Mary Kay, and then it just goes to Todd Munkin.
09:01And this is the hard part of dealing with a very vocal minority.
09:06Well, then that, too bad.
09:08I'm serious, too bad.
09:10It is my world that technically I have to deal with, but I don't have to deal with it in
09:14real life if it comes down to that
09:16because I don't think that that is real life, okay?
09:18So I don't need to hear some crazy Internet bullying going on about some report,
09:23and neither does Todd Munkin.
09:24He don't care about that.
09:25So if it ends up being Deshaun Watson, and I hope it's not, but if it ends up being Deshaun
09:28Watson,
09:29then I accept that.
09:29You say it's not real life.
09:30Just ask the dude that came on the air in the afternoon a couple days ago
09:35after one moment got caught on the Internet chasing a baseball and asked him if the Internet is real life
09:40because he felt the need to go and do PR crisis strategy mode.
09:44He took a baseball from a small child.
09:46I know, but is that real life?
09:47That's the Internet.
09:48Did Todd Munkin take a baseball?
09:49But that's the Internet.
09:49Shedore Sanders isn't a child.
09:51It's not a home run ball for crying out loud.
09:53He's a grown man.
09:55This is a job.
09:56I know, ask the people that have their reputations ripped apart online every day
10:02about the perils of social media.
10:04I'm sorry about that.
10:04And the whole difference about Shedore Sanders is the social media stuff is real life.
10:10It becomes real life.
10:12It takes up a life of its own.
10:13Guys, I'm sorry.
10:14If he doesn't end up being the starter, and there's a million reasons why,
10:18I hate to say it, a million little reasons why I don't think he will be,
10:21but if he doesn't end up being the starter, like I just got to accept him.
10:24I know, but I just –
10:25And I have to go back to logic.
10:26To act like this stuff doesn't become suffocating,
10:28ask Kyle Shanahan about the rumors of their practice field
10:32and its location to a power plant that's destroying the embodiment of their whole organization.
10:39He's had to answer for it.
10:41So you can say this stuff doesn't matter.
10:43This stuff absolutely starts to matter.
10:47For the love of God.
10:50I'm not – no.
10:52I'm not going to accept it.
10:53I'm going to always go back to logic.
10:55I'm not doing this silly crap.
10:56I'm not doing it.
10:57If he makes his decision and it's Deshaun Watson, I'm not buying into any of this other stuff.
11:02I can't keep blaming head coaches.
11:04All right?
11:05And by the way, I'm not even blaming Shador for not being able to take the job.
11:07There would be plenty of logic behind him not getting the job to start the season.
11:10Do we understand that?
11:11Yeah.
11:11Do we not understand that there could be logic to that going,
11:14hey, you know, you were kind of thrust into the situation.
11:16You were thrown to trash cans.
11:17Pull the string because I've said this sentence a million times.
11:19Throw it to trash cans.
11:20Then all of a sudden you're thrust into a situation.
11:22Clearly you were in over your head against Baltimore.
11:24You started to get things a little bit better.
11:26There were a couple times where maybe you were a little bit in over your head in certain games.
11:29You had to get a bailout from the defense.
11:31That was fine.
11:32You still were able to make some really good plays.
11:34There is something in there.
11:35But maybe it's better if you did.
11:36I don't know.
11:37There's been plenty of guys who – we always think when you have to bench a guy
11:40or when you have to not start a guy, he's done.
11:42I don't know.
11:43Josh Allen, he got an injury.
11:44He ended up much better off for it after he took a month off and just surveyed everything
11:50and let the game come to him a little bit.
11:52Why does it have to be such a terrible thing for Shador Sanders if he doesn't start?
11:57So I'm going to tell you right now, I'm not going to listen to any of it.
11:59All right?
11:59I'll have to address it.
12:00Obviously, we're going to have to talk about it.
12:02But I'm not going to sit here and get into the rigmarole of any of that other stuff.
12:06If he doesn't end up playing, I'm not hearing about – I'm not going to sit here
12:09and get on the air and talk about trading him.
12:10I'm not going to hear about how he's a distraction because he's not a distraction.
12:13He hasn't been a distraction.
12:15It's all the distraction that goes on in here and on the internet and all that other stuff
12:19that ain't real life because when I'm out there standing in line at a gas station,
12:23I'm not talking to people getting yelled at about Kevin Stefanski being a bad guy
12:27or how Todd Munkin might end up being a bad guy.
12:29It's like, hey, you think we can get this thing off the ground?
12:31Hey, do you think you like this draft?
12:33That's what I get.
12:34That's real life, guys.
12:36That's real life.
12:37This is not real.
12:38So do you think Todd knows that this became an international story yesterday?
12:43I'm sure he's been – I'm sure he's been kept up to date with it.
12:47Yeah.
12:48Yeah, I'm sure he has.
12:49Why?
12:49And he's on social media, right?
12:51I know he has a Twitter account.
12:53I don't know if he runs the thing.
12:54Do you want to ask him when he comes in here?
12:55Yeah, heck yeah.
12:56Can we get – see, this is – I'm about to cuss.
12:59This is what I'm getting mad at.
13:00Can we stick to real questions here?
13:01Mm-hmm.
13:02I know you have to ask him about his brother – about Chedora's brother.
13:04Fine.
13:04You want to ask him about Chedora's brother.
13:06Fine.
13:06Go ahead.
13:06But I'm not going to sit here and spend a whole segment with the head coach of the Browns
13:08about some quarterback's brother.
13:10It's not going to happen, okay?
13:11I'm not going to do it.
13:12I wasn't going to do – I wasn't going to sit here and talk to Pat Shermer about Brad
13:16McCoy, about Colt McCoy's dad.
13:18I'm not doing this.
13:19I'm not wasting Browns fans' time.
13:23Damn it.
13:24Okay?
13:25What was said yesterday or what was posted on social media two days ago was a silly thing
13:30and it shouldn't have been said and I don't care how people think it should be taken.
13:34It was taken one way and it was silly.
13:36Just because you hear bad news, I understand to a degree you're defensive of your brother.
13:41He's your brother for crying out loud.
13:43You're supposed to be family.
13:44At the end of it, it's supposed to be family.
13:46Okay, I can buy that.
13:47Just don't say those things and let's move on because I do get people getting into me and
13:51say, Kenny, he's a distraction.
13:53Who's a distraction?
13:54What has he said to be a distraction?
13:56He went and threw the football with high school kids?
13:59That's a distraction?
14:00What has he done?
14:01But that was so silly.
14:02What has Shador done?
14:03This is what I'm saying to everybody.
14:05Okay?
14:06I'll put my hands like this so I'm less crazy.
14:09I need to know what he has done.
14:13Not the Instagram people.
14:17Not the Twitter people.
14:18Not the fake bots that post content from different countries that people have been taken in by.
14:28I need real.
14:30What has he done?
14:31He ain't done a damn thing.
14:32He hasn't done anything.
14:33He ain't done a damn thing.
14:35His fans, his followers, man, they're like a political messaging campaign because it's
14:42all the same stuff from all the usual suspects.
14:44I don't care.
14:45And then their dad signs off on it oftentimes.
14:47He'll retweet it.
14:48He'll like it.
14:49If the Browns are affected by that, if they're affected by that, if Todd Munkin allows himself
14:54to be affected by that, then I have less faith in this football team, in this organization
15:00than I ever have.
15:01And think about where they've been as an organization.
15:03You cannot sit there and kowtow to the internet.
15:06You can't do it.
15:08I got 52 other guys in there that he has to pay attention to and be responsible for.
15:14And if that means that Shador Sanders is a starter, great.
15:17Wait, I'm going to be a happy camper because I don't have to sit there and talk about Deshaun
15:21Watson and think of old memories about how, what things could have been with the Cleveland
15:24Browns had we not all lost our minds in 2021, but it ain't probably going to be that way.
15:29It'll probably be Shador, or probably be Deshaun Watson.
15:31And I'll have to deal with that and just hope that the Browns win football games.
15:34And if Deshaun Watson doesn't work out, and I really don't know if he will, and I really
15:37don't think he will, then hopefully Shador will do the right thing and use this as an
15:42opportunity to reset and to learn and to do what's necessary for when his number
15:47is called to start off better and to be better.
15:50And hopefully it will go the right way.
15:52If it doesn't, we'll all move on.
15:54But I'm not going to sit there and rant and rave about he needs to be traded or cut and
15:58the Browns are treating him wrong or anything like that.
16:00No, that's not happening because that ain't real life.
16:03All this stuff on the internet ain't real.
16:06What's out there, out in the road is real.
16:08What's out there at the stadium is real.
16:10What are you laughing at?
16:11Stop laughing at me.
16:12I'm looking at a repopulating chat right now.
16:16And Kenny, these people, they are trying to tell you they are very real.
16:22Okay.
16:25I mean, I'm okay.
16:26Sure.
16:28Where I like to go for real things is the internet.
16:31Okay.
16:32So what they plan on making Todd, Todd Munkin's life a living hell.
16:35If he doesn't start Deshaun Watson, is that what it's supposed to be?
16:37They did their damnedest with Kevin Stefanski.
16:40Okay.
16:41Well, that Todd Munkin seems like a really good guy that would respond to threats real well.
16:47Right?
16:49Lord Almighty.
16:50I mean, he seems like a good guy, but I don't think he's going to respond to threats.
16:53Good God.
16:54Guys, come on.
16:56I don't, I want Shador to start.
16:57I have to accept a lot.
