00:01Hello, welcome to the CV's Flight Channel.
00:14...see what they've learned, see how they handle it.
00:17Is he too? 250 East.
00:20Hammocker on the inside, bike 10.
00:22Can he squeeze his way through?
00:25Not quite.
00:28Dr. Floyd got away to a nice start.
00:31Isaiah Clarke in the mix.
00:33Here comes Hammocker on the inside, a rider down.
00:38I think that was Landon Hartz, yep.
00:42Oh, man.
00:44He got really lucky, especially going down there early on the first rhythm lane.
00:49So many riders behind him, great heads up riding by all these great racers in these gnarly conditions.
00:57Now, sometimes when the track is muddy like this, it opens up opportunities for someone like Ryder Floyd and other
01:04riders in this race to come out and get some potential personal bests.
01:09Great opportunity for some.
01:11Seth Hammocker makes his way past Ryder Floyd.
01:16Ryder aboard his tie loop Honda, got off to a terrific start.
01:20But the man who sits second in the points leads this second heap.
01:24You can see right there, Seth Hammocker messing with his goggles.
01:28A lot of these riders electing to use Roloss.
01:30And what those Roloss are built to do is it has a string and the canisters on the side of
01:36the goggle.
01:36You pull the string and it gives you a quick, that's a little vision, clear vision there.
01:43Isaiah Clarke, he leaps his way into second place very effectively past Ryder Floyd.
01:48And then Jeremy Hand's in the mix.
01:50Henry Miller is there.
01:52Marshall Welton, who showed plenty of speed earlier today also.
01:56And Hayes Edwards is in the top seven.
02:00That's a great start.
02:01He narrowly missed out last weekend on making it through to do the three races of the Triple Crown.
02:06He missed out by one position.
02:08So close.
02:09It was Nick Romano who won 81, got that last position in the LCQ last week.
02:15There's Hayes Edwards in that bottom box.
02:17Daxton Benek has just got by the youngster from Texas.
02:20The son of multi-time Superbike World Champ and former MotoGP rider Colin.
02:26You know, sometimes when you're in these mud races, and it's hard to do, it takes a lot of discipline,
02:32Diff, but race your own race.
02:34I mean, I know everybody says, hey, I just want to go out there and just take care of myself.
02:39But especially in the mud, I feel like it's very, very important.
02:43And before you know it, if you're able to keep that motorcycle upright, you'll pick up quite a few positions
02:48from other people going down or maybe having motorcycle issues, mechanical failures.
02:55So it's super, super important to just be extremely focused on not hitting the deck, JT.
03:02Yeah, Ricky, just to kind of follow what you're saying there, you know, you saw Landon Harts go down, you
03:07saw Nate Thrasher go down.
03:08It's so difficult on the backside of that because you have three contact points with the motorcycle.
03:12You're holding on with your hands and gloves.
03:14The inside of your legs are gripping the motorcycle and then your boots, of course.
03:18But when you crash, your hands and the inside of your legs are often covered in mud and water.
03:22So you lose that traction, you're not able to hold on to the bike or better yet, manipulate the motorcycle
03:28to where you want to go to turn into a lot more of a passenger to the motorcycle than you
03:33are determining the course of it.
03:35So like you're saying, it's so important.
03:37You have to go a little bit slower to avoid going down.
03:40And then the main event also protecting the motorcycle will come into play as well.
03:49We were talking about young Hayes Edwards earlier.
03:53Here he is trying to make the main event.
03:59You can see the base again, very slick.
04:03But at the same time, when that base is slick like that, it gets to where the mud isn't super
04:09deep.
04:09And sometimes I think that's a little bit easier.
04:12Oh, there he goes.
04:14See, I was talking about how slick it was.
04:17Oh, the bike stopped.
04:18There you can see, he's trying to get it back fired up.
04:21And it wasn't a major mistake.
04:23Oh, well, that's the thing.
04:24It's so slick.
04:25He went to come out of that corner.
04:26He just touched the throttle.
04:27The rear end slipped around.
04:29And it was game over.
04:31I hate to see that, man.
04:32He was in a perfect spot to transfer.
04:35He sure was.
04:37Daxton Benick is the man on the move aboard his Husqvarna.
04:41There he is, on the left of your screen.
04:43So that is fifth place now as he got by Jeremy Hand.
04:47So he's nicely positioned at the moment.
04:49But there's still a minute and a half plus a lap to go in this second heat of the 250
04:52East.
04:53Well, remember how I talked about that first 250 heat race when Romano and Thrasher were battling?
04:59I'm like, this is about as good as the track's going to be all night long.
05:02Now you can see what I was talking about.
05:04I mean, this place has absolutely destroyed.
05:07The ruts through the rhythm lanes are long.
05:12The faster you can go, the easier it is to navigate that.
05:15But at the same time, man, it is so slick.
05:18And these conditions are so difficult.
05:22Henry Miller there on the left of your screen aboard the MX-6 Kawasaki.
05:27He's done a really nice job this year.
05:29He's in the top ten in points.
05:31In fact, he's eighth as he leaps his way past Ryder Floyd.
05:34And that's for third place.
05:36And we've seen a lot of guys this season, both in the 250 West Division and East Division, have some
05:42personal best.
05:44Simonson, one of those guys, breakout years, as I like to call it.
05:46And it's a testament to the hard work that they put in, not only the riders themselves, but the teams
05:52as well.
05:58This is where these leader lights on these motorcycles, on the front forks, you'll see the green signifying that that
06:05is the leader.
06:06It's super helpful.
06:08There is a crazy kind of battle going on for that ninth and final transfer position.
06:17CJ Bernard holds it at the moment.
06:19Nice is 10th.
06:20Luke Clout was there just a matter of a moment ago.
06:24It is changing.
06:26Crazy.
06:26And look at poor old Hayes Edwards has dropped all the way to 19th and no longer in the lead
06:31lap after just a little spin.
06:34And then the bike stalled.
06:35Well, yeah, once the bike stalled, it's so hard to get back going because your clutch is compromised as well.
06:41Not good.
06:42You often hear us talk about how important the start is, especially in these conditions.
06:46Well, guess what?
06:47You can now bet on the 450 main event whole shot winner.
06:51Do it now.
06:51Prop market is open and it is live right now.
06:55Scan that flow code or visit NXTBets.com slash PlaySMX to claim a bonus and make your whole shot pick.
07:02Good luck.
07:03I talked about, you know, just racing your race and staying on two wheels.
07:10I mean, it's going to become more crucial and more important to be able to do that as these conditions
07:15continue to worsen throughout the night here.
07:20Final lap.
07:21CJ Bernard, it's worth saying, by the way, of all that Gizmo Racing Yamaha, Bernard is in ninth.
07:27He has never transferred directly out of a heat to the main.
07:30It's a huge night.
07:31We saw three do that in the first heat, plus Nick Romano's first win.
07:35There's lots of personal bests happening here.
07:37Yeah, we were talking about that a little earlier.
07:40It's like, that's what I'm excited to see.
07:42Some of these riders, you know, potentially have their best finishes and great opportunity.
07:48What about Hammacher, though?
07:50Keeping the hopes alive for this championship right here.
07:54Keeping the pressure on.
07:56Hey, you're the one who always says anything can happen.
07:58Yeah, that's right.
07:59Anything can.
07:59Especially in the mud.
08:01He comes from Bainbridge, PA.
08:02Might be a local race for Nick Romano, but it really is a home race for this man here.
08:08Heat to winner.
08:09He comes from two hours northwest of here.
08:13And Seth Hammacher gets the victory.
08:15So it's Kawasaki, Kawasaki on the top of the timesheets from the first two heats.
08:20Bennett's done a great job here.
08:22I mean, he was flirting with not being in qualifying position.
08:27He's marched all the way up.
08:28That was the second.
08:29That was the second.
08:30That was the second.
08:30Yeah, that's the second.
08:31This is going to be huge for his gate position in the main event.
08:35Way to fight back for Daxton Benick.
08:37There it is.
08:37It might be a big time gap.
08:39Huge time gap.
08:40From Hammacher back to Daxton Benick.
08:43But second helps a lot.
08:45There he is there.
08:46A 30 second.
08:48There he is.
08:51You too.
08:52You too.
08:54You too.
08:55You too.
