00:00It's time to go around the entire NFL and dip it in some Gridiron Gravy.
00:07Now let's start with Mansoor Delane. Mansoor Delane is going to visit the Dolphins and the
00:13Giants this week. Obviously, that is a player that we have talked a lot about. But speaking
00:18of the Giants, I hear from the other two people on this show that Dexter Lawrence has requested
00:27a trade. He is fantastic.
00:33Yes. Pro Football Sports Network, PFSN, I guess they're trying to take over now, has last year
00:44he had a 77.3 defensive tackle impact score. That I ranked him 38th amongst defensive tackles
00:51last year.
00:52Oh man, that's way lower than I would have guessed.
00:54The year before it was an 82, he was 19th. The year before that, it was a 90 and he
00:58was
00:585th. And that's the production we're used to from him as being that high.
01:03But you think it's on the downslope?
01:05As things have gone along, those things tend to be. And again, that's a good defensive front.
01:12Yeah.
01:13That's a very good defensive front right there. So their front seven was really good. He's
01:1928th. I don't think he's out of his prime. I'm not sitting here saying the Cowboys need
01:25to go out there and trade for him.
01:26No, I hear you.
01:28But I'd love to trade for him.
01:30Oh, I was on your side.
01:32I love, I've always loved the kind of player he is because he's a beast up front. But last
01:39year's, and the trend that looks like it is, kind of meh. Plus, Kevin, he's been an all
01:44pro, he hasn't been an all pro in two years. Okay. Second team all pro is the best he's
01:49ever had. So has he ever really gotten the love that he deserves in that respect?
01:55Okay. I don't know. Interesting. All right. Speaking of players getting the love that
02:00they think they deserve, Joey Porter Jr. He came out and said he feels like he gets unfairly
02:06criticized for his penalties while also adding that he thinks he's a top five corner in the
02:13game. Now, do I think this coincides with the fact that he is eligible for a contract
02:19extension? I do not think that is a coincidence. But what do you think about the bold claim
02:26from Joey Porter Jr. that he is in fact a top five corner in the NFL?
02:31I can see how he thinks he's on the come up for that. I don't, I don't think he's in
02:37that
02:37category. I'd have to go back and like, retract because man, Trayvon Diggs at just two years
02:42ago was one of the top five corners in the league in a lot of respects and things. So
02:47I think he sees himself in that area, but I don't think he is. But you know, you want
02:54to be paid that way. Like Derek Stingley, Sertan, Sauce Gardner, Tripp McDuffie, Witherspoon.
03:03Those are four that I think of first, five that I think of first. LeJarius Sneed, do you think
03:07he's, you know, one of those top corners also? But I think that I would rank it a little bit
03:13differently. I don't think he's there yet. All right. Now, a few more things before we get to
03:18the non-draft questions. Betting odds at this point have shifted to the Cardinals or the Jets
03:25as most likely to draft Ty Simpson. Now, in some of these cases, it might be a trade back into
03:32the
03:32first round or the Jets, for example, obviously have other draft ammunition in the middle of the
03:38first round. I think they need to hurry up and draft him at two. Sure. If they don't do that,
03:44he could be gone. Well, yeah. And that would be amazing because at 1220, I'm going to tell you
03:49how the Cowboys could trade up to three if you want. What? From the 214, what the hell would we
03:54add
03:54a defensive tackle for? Fun. Okay. I want, just like, remember whenever I wanted all the short
04:01stops? Yes. You got Trevor Story, Corey Seager, and Marcus Simeon, and Mike goes, we'll be lucky
04:07to get one. We won't get two. And then we got two, and Mike goes, holy crap, can we get
04:14three? And I
04:14was like, that's what I'm saying, Mike! So yeah, let's get all the defensive tackles. What happened
04:18last time we did something like that, Kevin? We won a World Series. Okay. Because we got all the
04:23defensive tackles. All of the best players in one position. Gotcha. Gotcha. Now, other draft
04:29stock news. Jordan Tyson, there are multiple people. Remember we were talking about the clear
04:35No. 1 wide receiver. We talked a lot about Carnell Tate. There are multiple people saying
04:41that there's a lot of teams out there that have Tyson as the No. 4 wide receiver. And if there's
04:46going to be a wide receiver that slides, it's looking more and more like it would be Jordan
04:51Tyson. I know we talked about him the other day, but I want to go back to you, Alec, for
04:55just one second. Your thoughts for people who have missed it over the past month or so on
04:59Jordan Tyson. He's a really good player. I know the only thing that you can really knock
05:05him for in my mind is the availability factor. But I talked about it a little bit last week.
05:10Everything that I can put out there for you about him. He had two bum hamstrings in a game
05:15last year and finished the entire game. He is a gamer. He's a little bit of an issue when
05:24it comes to some of those focus catches. He'll drop a few on you, but he can play every single
05:29receiver spot. He's really sudden. His routes are just awesome. They're crisp. He can literally
05:36do anything you ask him to if he's on the field. Um, I'm just looking right now. Kuyper
05:43has him one. Miller has him three. Reed has him three. Yates has him two. I would be interested
05:51to see who they have because if they have like a Denzel Boston in front of him, that's an
05:54interesting conversation there. Uh, I wouldn't see any, I don't know if anybody would put Omar
05:59Cooper in front of him. I think they might. That was the name that came to my mind. The toughness
06:05stand Carnell Tate and Makai Lemon. I get that. Uh, then I'm having a different conversation when
06:11it comes to Cooper, Boston. I don't think Concepcion is that high up on my list. Uh, but I would
06:18take, I'd take Jordan Tyson in a heartbeat, dude. Now, a lot of people are kind of watching this
06:23situation. One of my non-draft questions for the day, does Lamar Jackson get an extension and how
06:32long will he be at these off season workouts? Cause you get into the point, what do voluntary
06:38mean? I believe he did show up to the first one, but what do voluntary mean and all of that
06:44good stuff? Do you think he's going to get an extension and do you think he will be a participant
06:49in these off season workouts? Oh, this is an interesting conversation because doesn't Jerry
06:56Jones hold Dak Prescott over everybody's head. Yes. Well, Dak was in a contract negotiation. He kept
07:03showing up to practice. He also has one of those don't hit me red jerseys. Yeah. Uh, that he gets
07:08to wear. Um, and then you add in Lamar Jackson already had a very, very, um, in the public
07:20contract negotiation with Baltimore previously. I think the best thing is to just show up and do
07:26your job, you know, just keep showing up, do your work until you are no longer under contract.
07:31And, uh, and then once that happens, then you have a different conversation, but I think he
07:35should, I definitely think he should. He's the best player on that team. Is Jonathan
07:38Grenard still available?
07:42No. Yes. I'm, I'm asking. Um, the linebacker for the Vikings. Oh, for the Vikings. Yes. Um,
07:52is he still available to like for us or from the Vikings? I mean, no, I don't care if what
07:59he's going to do for the Vikings. I'm saying, is he still available to the rest of the league
08:03and naturally that would include the Cowboys? Um, I think he should be if he was available
08:10months ago. Why wouldn't he be right now? Like Max Crosby, Max Crosby's them saying he's
08:16not available. They're not going to trade him. Yes, you are. The right trade, you know,
08:19the right comp right compensation comes to you. So you don't buy the idea that they wanted
08:23to trade him and then it fell apart. And so now they're going to not trade him. Yeah,
08:27no, I think he's definitely, I think Grenard still available. I just don't know how interested
08:31people are in him. Okay. And that's where, that's what I think is interesting is how quickly
08:35that became a big thing. And then all of a sudden it disappeared very fast because a lot
08:40of people, the, the market for him just kind of dried up a little bit. Are you more tired
08:44of talking about if George Pickens will get a long-term extension or if Aaron Rodgers
08:49will retire? Aaron Rodgers. Okay. I, because I'm still fascinated in a lot of the things.
08:57Yeah. Most, most, I think, I still think the Mulligetta and Jones relationship is a fascinating
09:04drama that we're watching unfold before our eyes. Do you think it's not as kumbaya,
09:10business is business, didn't work out last time, maybe it will next time? I have no clue what's
09:14happening there. Okay. They're saying they still haven't talked? Is that because the Joneses
09:18just don't pick phones up? Is that how, like, that's what's keeping this from happening?
09:23No matter what, we want to make sure we have, we want, we have a long-term plan for George
09:30Pickens. We just don't have a long-term goal of picking up the phone and having the conversation
09:35on that plan. How do we get the 42, 43 million dollars? Right. If you're Mulligetta, are you
09:41saying I want 45? You know, I know that he just got this, but I want more now because
09:46that's how the, I just, I don't know where that lands. By the way, the NFL and the NFL
09:51Referees Association, they're going to talk again this week and the owners will be involved
09:56this go around because remember the Referee Association last time was like, oh, okay,
10:00so you sent nobody who has any ability to negotiate. Thanks a lot for that.
