00:00It's time to go around the entire NFL and dip it in some Gridiron Gravy.
00:07Dip it and rip it.
00:08And let's start with good news for the Cowboys.
00:12I think it's good news.
00:14Brandon Aubrey has received no offers from teams thus far per Adam Schefter.
00:21The deadline for a restricted free agent to receive an offer sheet is tomorrow.
00:25So that would lend, you would think, the idea that no offer will come and the Cowboys will retain Brandon
00:33Aubrey.
00:34And then they can obviously that price will be set and then they'll probably keep trying to work on a
00:39long term deal.
00:40But it looks like, barring a change in the next 24 hours, Brandon Aubrey will be staying with the Dallas
00:47Cowboys.
00:48I know we like draft picks, but for an elite kicker, we're happy to have him back, right?
00:55Yes, I guess elite kickers are important to y'all, especially with this team.
01:01No, with this team, we should be better.
01:04I agree.
01:05We should be fine.
01:06Defensively, we should be able to hold people to 20 points.
01:10We weren't able to.
01:11So we needed a kicker to protect field position or whatever.
01:16Wow.
01:17All right.
01:18Actually, no, I do like having him as a weapon in case you need to make a big kick late
01:22in the game for 58 yards.
01:24Yes, I mean, as we did now, something to keep an eye out on for the Giants.
01:29Their GM stepped out and said, yes, we have gotten calls about pick number five.
01:34We will not make that trade before we're on the clock.
01:37OK, if you're looking for a pre-draft trade specifically with the Giants, their GM is saying not going to
01:43happen until we're on the clock,
01:44which, as you guys have said, makes a lot of sense because you want to see how the board plays
01:48out in front of you.
01:49Speaking of how the board plays out in front of you, the Jets have canceled their pre-draft visit with
01:56David Bailey.
01:57There are two schools of thought on this, with the one being it's a done deal.
02:01They're taking David Bailey and they already know everything they need to know.
02:05Or the other line of thinking being they know they're going to go Arvel Reese.
02:09I'm inclined to think that one, because even if it was a done deal with David Bailey, wouldn't you bring
02:16him in and be like, hey, here's all the facilities.
02:20Let's chat some more and just like really, really be sure and start like, what is it?
02:25Parcells. Make sure he knows where the bathrooms are.
02:27Yes.
02:27And so, like, wouldn't you bring him in just to be like, hey, here's our facilities and everything.
02:31So, I think that indicates Arvel Reese for whatever it's worth.
02:36I'm with you on that.
02:37I wouldn't read too differently about that, which means Bailey III likely.
02:43I could see that.
02:44Yeah.
02:45And then do you still think Love IV?
02:48I mean, Styles was a name that kept popping up at IV.
02:52We already got Styles at X and then Downs at X.
02:55Hold on, but the order of this is weird, Kevin.
02:58IV comes before X.
02:59Then, so if they, but yeah, Love would make sense at IV, even though they have Tony Pollard.
03:04Why do they need a running back?
03:05It doesn't make any sense.
03:06Huh.
03:07They already have Tony Pollard.
03:10I mean, do you not have faith in Tony Pollard?
03:16All right, let's go from that.
03:18That answered my question.
03:20Do you agree?
03:22Bleacher Report says that Reuben Bain is both the player the Cowboys should pick
03:28and will pick.
03:31What do you think of that assertion?
03:34Should pick?
03:35I mean, there's a lot of options.
03:38Sure.
03:39Will?
03:40I can't hear it.
03:41No.
03:43Overreaction.
03:44That's not, that's just a question.
03:46Oh.
03:48I love the player.
03:50There are a lot of players I really like, though.
03:52Yeah.
03:53So I can't say should or will.
03:55Okay.
03:55Because if you were good at linebacker and good at safety, then yes, I'd go, you need
04:00a left defensive end.
04:02But right now, you have, as Broad has pointed out, they screwed this thing up so much, that
04:08you don't have spots that are full or filled.
04:11Right.
04:11So you have to pick whatever helps you the most at that moment and what's available to
04:18you.
04:19So if you had your selection between Bain, Styles, and Downs, you have to make the decision
04:25of which one of those three helps you the most is the biggest circle on the page.
04:30Now, quick side note, the Stars Wild game has been announced for 4.30 on Saturday for
04:39game one.
04:40You know, I think it was Gulletson who was like, hey, we expect to have one of the two
04:43afternoon slots on Saturday.
04:45There you go.
04:464.30 on Saturday for game one.
04:50Let's go.
04:51That's awesome for us.
04:53Yeah.
04:53Does that mean that we're going to get like a Monday night, 11.30 p.m. game?
04:57I hope not.
04:58It was ridiculous.
05:00Right.
05:00As Choppy said this morning, this is where the NHL thinks that you are, that Texas is
05:05located in Hawaii's time zone.
05:07Yeah.
05:07Yeah.
05:08I wouldn't.
05:09It's really cool, though.
05:10It's really good for a 4.30 start for us on Saturday.
05:13Now, I got another question for you.
05:14The Athletic has them at 30.
05:17Kuyper has them at 43.
05:18Will Chris Johnson go in the first round?
05:24You've got teams like Miami, Kansas City, Seattle that might all be interested towards the back
05:31of the first round.
05:32I do think he will.
05:33He's that good of a player.
05:35That would be unfortunate if you wanted to try and figure out how to move up to get him.
05:39I just don't think he's going to be a cowboy.
05:41I just think he's a really good player, though.
05:43But I think he's going to be a first rounder.
05:45Alec?
05:47It's tough.
05:48I've gone back and forth.
05:49But in my final mock, I do have him in the first round.
05:54I think there's some stuff that needs to be worked on there, skill set-wise.
05:58I don't have him as a first round grade by any means, and it would not shock me if he
06:03went early day two.
06:04But I do think somebody says, we'll take the chance on the upside.
06:08Yeah.
06:08The other thing, too, Kevin, is I'm glad Alec is doing this and putting together his mock
06:14and creating it that way, because I am one of those that you would be like, Corey, you
06:19have 64 first round picks.
06:21I'd be like, yeah, we're going to have to work on that just a little bit more.
06:25So let's give an update on the saga of Luther Davis.
06:29We first talked about this fella like three weeks ago.
06:33He was the guy who was, I believe, trying to get some loans by impersonating players.
06:44Now we're getting more information that he impersonated multiple players, and he used wigs
06:51to do so, and he attempted to get up to $20 million.
06:56He is expected to plead guilty in this case.
07:00He tried to obtain 13 different loans in the names of current or former NFL players, including
07:07Xavier McKinney, Njoku, and of course, Michael Pennix.
07:11I was going to make a Prince of Darkness joke regarding Miles Davis, but I didn't know if
07:16you would know that, and then after you point this out, obviously, I'm glad I didn't make
07:21that joke.
07:22Yeah, he did bad things, or he attempted to do bad things.
07:25All right, let's go from that to the curious case of the Dolphins, who has said that Troy
07:30Aikman will be in the draft room, but will not be consulted about picks.
07:34It's because he wants to hang out.
07:35Oh, okay.
07:37Maybe try to get that Aikman.
07:39It's like that one time we looked back, and we were like, Bennett Glazer is sitting in
07:42the room, and Bennett was like, and they looked at me and said, what should we do?
07:49Yeah, and they're like, hire Mike McCarthy.
07:53No, that's Jay Glazer, Kevin, not Bennett Glazer.
07:56Are you sure?
07:57Yeah.
07:57So, but are you really sure?
08:01A-chan, by the way, they stepped out and said, is not available for trade, so people might
08:07be inquiring.
08:08They said he is not available for trade.
08:11Good for them.
08:11You're going to get some more NFL games on YouTube, at least according to Front Office
08:16Sports.
08:17We talked about it.
08:18Netflix was trying to get the five-game package for next year, kind of a standalone.
08:22So is YouTube, and Front Office Sports is reporting that YouTube and the NFL have entered into
08:30a long-form contract review, which means they've gotten an agreement on most of the stuff, and
08:36they're just getting a few precise things there, but a few more extra games on YouTube.
08:43Okay.
08:44Just regular YouTube, you said?
08:46Yes.
08:46Not like YouTube TV?
08:48Because the game last year was on regular YouTube.
08:50Okay, all right then.
08:51That's pretty cool.
08:53Theoretically, I realize that's streaming, but with some ads, you'll get it for free.
08:58Yeah, yeah.
08:58At least I would think that is the case on the surface.
