00:00Milford Esplanade Ltd. MRL says it has initiated legal proceedings over content circulated on social media between late March and

00:12In a release, the company alleges that the material which appeared across platforms including Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp was damaging
00:21to the organization and its leadership.
00:23Pre-action protocol letters were issued to several parties requesting the removal of the content along with other legal remedies
00:31including an apology and compensation.
00:34On April 4th, an injunction was granted by the court restricting the further publication of distribution of the material across
00:42digital platforms until the matter is determined.
00:46One media entity named in the legal action has removed the material from its Facebook page.
00:52In partial compliance with the request outlined in the pre-action protocol letters, TV6 News attempted to contact one of
01:00the individuals referenced for comment but was unable to obtain a response.
