00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Tuesday morning which is rather cloudy. Some brighter breaks
00:06in shelter at the same time outbreaks of rain all courtesy of a warm front extending northeastwards.
00:13Now today is probably the mildest day of the week. Still rather settled across more southern areas as we enter
00:19this evening and overnight but notice another band of cloud and rain will arrive with some stronger winds extending southeastwards
00:27through Wednesday into Thursday. Some quieter weather and then all change yet again as we enter the Easter bank holiday.
00:35For the time being if you are stepping out there's a lot of cloud and also some outbreaks of rain
00:40particularly for western Scotland. Spits and spots for Northern Ireland rather cloudy here. That rain extends down across the northwest
00:47of England, West Wales, the west country and some filaments further east as well but the cloud is broken in
00:53places allowing for some brighter skies and in fact in shelter we'll see some higher temperatures today.
01:00So through the morning this warm front extends northeastwards. Notice some drier weather coming through from the west but where
01:08the clouds thick enough particularly over the higher ground you're always going to see spits and spots of rain but
01:14it won't really amount to very much through the afternoon so not a bad afternoon to come.
01:19With a brisk breeze across more western areas hopping over the highlands we could see a 16 for Aberdeenshire perhaps
01:25even a 17 down towards central southern parts of England and Wales.
01:30So that's the picture through this afternoon through this evening yet again some dry skies some starry skies a little
01:37rain in places just pushing away but notice here's that next band of cloud and rain arriving across the northwest
01:44of Scotland with again some patchy rain ahead of it as we head into Wednesday morning.
01:50Some clearer skies across more eastern areas to start Wednesday perhaps a bit of a chilly start here temperatures down
01:56to mid single figures but certainly this rain will affect Scotland as we head through the day on Wednesday.
02:02The winds will pick up some strength as well certainly quite a quite a strength to the wind associated with
02:08this rain band and we could see some heavier pulses through the morning across the northwest of Scotland edging in
02:15across northern Ireland by around mid morning in to lunchtime.
02:19Elsewhere through Wednesday some drier skies some brighter weather temperatures 13 or 14 degrees celsius so eventually this area of
02:27cloud and rain will clear down towards the south and southeast with another ridge of high pressure coming in and
02:32some chilly air as well.
02:35So here are your temperatures through tomorrow slightly down on today which yes even so there will be some drier
02:42skies around.
02:43Your bigger picture through Thursday into Friday well it's good Friday and yes we will see another batch of cloud
02:49and rain arrive.
02:51The winds will pick up they could be strong perhaps even gale force in places as yes that rain clears
02:56off the scene and more wet weather arrives through the weekend.
03:00Stay up to date with the weather for the bank holiday weekend particularly if you have any plans outside and
03:06I'll see you again soon.
