Cigarette Row Sparks Wedding Brawl in Hassan, Guests Clash on Street

A minor clash broke out near M.H. Convention Hall in Arakalpet area of Hassan after a trivial dispute during a wedding function escalated into a physical altercation.

According to sources, the incident occurred between relatives of the bride and groom over objections to someone allegedly smoking a cigarette at the venue. What began as a verbal argument soon turned into a scuffle.

The confrontation spilled onto the road outside the convention hall, where members of both groups were seen exchanging blows. Several individuals reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Elders present at the function later intervened and managed to bring the situation under control.

The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Pension Mohalla Police Station. No official statement has been issued yet, and further action, if any, is awaited.
